vent *probable trigger warning*

so i consider myself as someone who has some pretty bad seasonal depression. during spring and summer i am a genuinely happy person, but as the days get shorted and i am forced to spend more time with my family (which is a whole other problem), i start to go a little crazy. the anxiety high of finals and knowing that i won’t be able to see my friends for almost two weeks, which will instead be spend being around my family, makes my depression get bad. the last time it was this bad was in 7th grade, when i was under enough stress that i genuinely was contemplating suicide every other night as a 12 year old. i’ve resorted to something i told myself i would never do, but it helps. it makes me black out everything else and ignore the craziness, even if only for a little bit. i usually avoid it due to swimming in gym, but today is the last day and i’m actually really glad. it just feels like everytime i start to feel happy, my depression kicks down the door and starts to beat me up again. the worst part is i never wanna talk to my friends about it because i doubt they actually wanna talk to me. i’ll make jokes about wanting to die, as will almost all of my friends because none of us are really okay, but i doubt any of them have gotten to where i have. everything is just starting to feel numb and it’s like i’m not even human anymore. i’m just an empty shell going through the motions. i’m just waiting for the day when i go to far and everyone wakes up with one less burden to worry about.
