if you manage to attract Jade's affection, you must be quite something. I think he'd like someone who's curious and, like his brother, someone that doesn't stay stagnant and complacent, but is always looking ways to improve and to change! it helps to keep things far from boring! also, he'd like someone who listens to his interests and is willing to indulge him from time to time, even if they themselves don't actively take part in them. he'll gladly listen to them talking abt their interests in exchange! perhaps while they share some tea and the newest mushroom dish he's created...

hmmm, noticing that Jade has a crush would be quite hard, seeing as he's naturally more discreet. I think he'd talk more with his crush, not that he'd become a chatter box, mind you, but he'd be happy to share his interests with them and, depending on how far their trust relationship is, he might be willing to share a bit about himself, too. he'd be very curious and attentive to what they like and make sure to remember it, either so he can bring up in conversation later or so he can buy/make it for them. he'd be very teasing, but it's just that he likes the banter! having someone that can keep up with his light hearted jabs and throw back some equally as good can be very entertaining! I also think he'd like someone that can indulge him with some more serious topics of conversation that might require some more brain stimulation. if they can offer him new perspectives on things, he'd be delighted!

I think he's very atunned with his feelings and would notice if he's got a crush on someone, tho at first he'd proceed like normal just to see how things play out and to observe a bit more his own reactions, as well as theirs to check if it might be reciprocated. he might want to try to spend more time with them even with his busy schedule, convincing them to visit the lounge or to take a walk with him at the botanical garden. he miiight make some flirty remarks here and there or some more casual touches if he's got suspicions of them liking him back, but it would be nothing too remarkable and still subtle. he'd also act more like a gentleman/butler type around them and do little service acts (for free!! mostly). he might get a bit protective, if anyone is giving them trouble, all they need to do is say it to him and he'll take care of it :)

and if you manage to fluster him?? HE'S IN DEEP. take him by surprise, be with heartfelt gestures and words or a bold move forward, and he'll be so enthusiastic. he'll love to see what other unexpected things you'll do next!

I think Jade might also like some more domestic settings? while he enjoys his daily entertainment and healthy dose of chaos, getting some time to sit back and just have a quiet and peaceful moment with his love can be equally enjoyable. getting used to each other's presence and routines, doing little things for them and knowing each other in and out! just the intimacy and trust involved...

Ruggie hisses as he rips out a chunk of wood lodged in his shoulder, throwing it down the dim alley he’s currently hiding in. 

Stupid vampire hunters, thinking their stakes would be enough to take him. Those things were about as effective as a sharpened pencil, and yet the hunters never learned. It’s not like getting stabbed repeatedly was fun, though it was far easier to deal with than the other weapons the hunters liked to carry around.

As soon as Ruggie got his hands on whatever human thought it would be cute to try to sabotage their monthly exchange by ambushing the Savanaclaw coven with the hunters… well, he’s certain some of the more restless coven members would appreciate having a human to chase down and tear to pieces. Ever since they implemented the deal with the neighboring town, giving blood in exchange for residents no longer fearing leaving their houses after dark, some of the vampires had been complaining about how boring it was to no longer hunt–

I think I'd be able to survive and be slaying bc I'm simply built different like that 💪 the sheer power of needing to one up these boys to humble them and lower their egos would be enough to make me fight tooth and nail to stay at the top of anything I might be able to. watch me getting the best grades I can to see the shock on their faces... giving my all on any event... and I'd go to Heartslabyul's unbirthday parties and Scarabia's parties to get free food 🙏 me putting all of Trey's sweets on my bag to take home and eat later

tho it'd be SO chaotic, not a day would pass by without something happening 💀 somehow I'd always be right in the middle of the messes and have to deal with them

I have so many thoughts I haven’t had the chance to jot down to share with you so take this list with a few of them X3

•Personally I much prefer giving Yuu headcanons to make them their own person instead of projecting: I honestly just find it fun I feel as though self inserts are better for when you want to feel as if you are in the story due to Yuu already having certain traits attributed to them in canon (how they get described as very blunt for example is a canon trait that gets said multiple times!!!) •I’m actually a huge fan of the hc that Floyd hates when people point out how him and Jade are polar opposites or when people refer to Jade as the “better” twin. It adds more layers onto their personalities and from experience it doesn’t feel great when people compare you to your siblings using something with a negative connotation •I 100% hc that Idia has a vitamin D deficiency (maybe I’m projecting onto him but it totally fits him) he never goes outside nor does he have a proper diet and those are basically a match made in heaven for a vitamin D deficiency •It’s time for me to make a confession… I don’t like Leona XD he just never appealed to me if I’m being totally honest I almost always skip Book 2 when I’m rewatching the Books because I just couldn’t get into his backstory and generally still can’t (He’s such a fan favorite I’m sorry to admit it I just can’t personally find interest in his story) •We need more canon Cater x Trey angst just imagine “Cater… you know you can talk to me if you’re ever upset right?” Trey expressed in a worried tone as Cater turned with a surprised expression covering his face he furrowed his eyebrows “Why? Aww~ are you worried about me~♥️” Cater teased in a cheerful tone. Though, it was hard to miss the quiver of his lips and his shaking hands. He flashed Trey a smile then went back to humming what must have been a trending audio on Magicam that Trey hadn’t heard while scrolling down his feed. As he analyzed Cater’s features he couldn’t help but notice how deep his eye bags were without makeup to cover them: the glossy look in his eyes implied that he was on the verge of tears even so he still forced his cheeks to form a grin that seemed almost painful. Of course he didn’t want to force Cater to open up, but everytime he tried to help him all he was met with were the same cheery voice, shaky hands, and plastered smile. (super sorry if that sucked I don’t generally write for Trey and I haven’t written anything in a while because of college XO)

• experimenting with Yuu's personality is so much fun! taking their canon traits to create a full fledged character can be quite entertaining, trying to create them based on their answers on the story! tho I also like creating a yuusona based more as a self insert at times, too! (if you have any Yuu hcs you'd like to share anon, I'm all ears!)

• SOOO TRUE, Floyd and Jade break a common trope with twins within fiction in which they are basically the same person and I love that for them. all the little differences that set them apart and make them their own person are so charming! also, I'm pretty sure there's one vignette in which Floyd mentions how he doesn't like being compared to Jade, especially in a negative connotation. (I can't really remember which one it is now tho... I'm pretty sure it exists ok!!)

• ANON YOU'RE SO RIGHT THAT'S CANON !!! as an Idia kinnie who also has vitamin D deficiency I can confirm it's true.

• LMAO that's fair anon, you can like whoever you'd like! he was one of my favorites at the start lol it might be because I LOVEEE the Lion King, but I can see how his attitude can get on your nerves. there are also some things I'd change about his development (and about chapter 2, too). there's a lot to analyse about him as he's very complex and that still appeals to me, but not as much as it used to as I got to meet other characters who ended up climbing the ladder of my heart and surpassing him.

• OMG A WHOLE SCENARIO FOR FREE?? THANK YOU SO MUCH ANON!! and I agree, more Cater x Trey content would be very nice!

I toss this to you for more floyd analysis that last post had me thinking about how he’d act with a crush and on one hand hed definitely still act like his normal self and whatnot but At the same time I definitely think he wouldn’t know really how to go about a crush

like with how these guys have mostly zero game (like the ghost marriage event 😂),I wouldn’t be surprised of he had moments where he gets frustrated cause he doesn’t get why hes feeling a certain way and checks out for a lil while n cant help but feel like hed also not be sure how to react if he ever (or ever really has) gotten flustered

thinking about Floyd with a crush is SO entertaining, his unpredictable nature makes it possible for him to act in many different ways! even if it may seem out of character, we have no way of knowing if it could be true in this case and, considering Floyd's ever changing nature by mood, it's a possibility!

there's this post, that I think is so cute, of Floyd being secretly a hopeless romantic at heart and wanting to do the stuff you see in cheesy movies and books. whether is something he canonically would do or not is up to debate, but it sure is fun to imagine!

the way I think of it, Floyd with a crush would act as touchy as he usually does, giving hugs and staying close their personal space, and would be kinda blunt like always. I don't think he'd dance around the issue, but he might not know how to react and just do whatever feels right at the moment. so if he thinks they look cute, he'll just outright say it, no shame at all.

and if they return his affections, he'll be delighted! he'll gladly accept any nicknames and hugs and compliments! he'll want to stay by their side for as much as he can, as every moment with them is so entertaining! tho he might get flustered if they surprise him with some sincere declaration of affection when he isn't expecting it, he wouldn't know how to react due to it being a first for him. yes, he knows they like spending time with him since they never run away from him, but actually hearing them say it to his face? it makes his heart flutter and his face feel warm.

⚘ learning about boundaries; don't get me wrong, they would listen when you open up to them on how you are feeling and tell that you are also just human - it is normal to feel that way. but sometimes you need to put boundaries to not biting off more than you can chew and that it is okay to say no. it maybe hard but by letting you pushing the pause button first and spending your time with them away from the stressors in your life makes you feel more at ease. when you are ready to jump back in - they would assist you to by regularly keeping an eye on your activity routine to lessen the possibility of you being overwhelmed 🥺

I've actually thought about this before too! it's a bit of a known take in the fandom, tho opinions often vary. here's what I think about it:

I think that maybe, if he gets in a relationship in a bit of a heat of the moment thing with someone he isn't close to, he might get bored and break up, yes

now, if he gets in a relationship with someone he cares about and is close to previously and has had a crush on for some time already, I don't think it'd happen. despite the constant mood changes, Floyd is someone who sticks by the side of the ones he cares about deeply, especially since it's hard to worm your way up to his heart. he seems like the type that when he actually genuinely likes someone, they never get boring for him. even if they fall into a routine of some kind and have their quiet moments, they'd remain interesting and someone worth of keeping close by!

and I think that, for him to fall in love with someone in the first place, that person would match and/or compliment his energy well, which would make them a person that wouldn't like to settle and be complacent, but someone that keeps on trying new things and to surpass their limitations, changing and improving themselves constantly! that's why I think he stays by Azul's side even after he lost everything on his overblot and could be deemed as "boring", because Azul always tries to achieve more things and reach greater heights! he doesn't settle for the minimum and keeps amplifying his goals! not only that, but Azul has managed to be in the veeeeery little circle of people Floyd genuinely cares about, so he stays loyal by his side despite what happens.

You groaned and flopped yourself down onto Riddle’s bed, shoving your face in your hands.

“Dearest, it really it’s that complicated.” Riddle tried to placate, “It’s simple theoretical physics.”

You sat up to glare at him with no real heat behind it, “Easy for you to say, Mr. Braniac, you’ve been learning this stuff since you were in diapers.”

He rolled his eyes and came to sit beside you, “If it was easy enough for an infant to learn, surely you’re capable then, aren’t you?” He baited, smiling a bit.

“Guhhhh.” You groaned, pulling him to lay beside you, “You’re insufferable. I love you so fucking much.”

“Language.” He chastised idly, face burning red as the sudden physical contact, “A-and, you’re going to mess up my uniform…!” He added, eyes darting away from where your arm laid.

“I’ll iron it for you later.” You hummed, tugging him closer to you, “Just take a rest with me. Snuggling is like, ten thousand times better than particle physics.”

“Theoretical physics.” He corrected around the lump in his throat before he simply sighed and settled into your touch, “You’re a terrible influence. If my mother saw us right now, she would be screaming.”

“Your mother’s just jealous that you get to cuddle with an amazing partner.”

He frowned a little, turning to face you, “You aren’t wrong. Honestly, my parents may have been better off getting a divorce.”

You hummed in agreement, eyes staring into his with such admiration it made him flush even deeper.

“I always wondered if your eyes were blue or silver…” you said, leaning in a little closer, “I’m starting to think that perhaps it’s both. A very blue-ish silver. It’s nice. It reminds me of snow.”

Riddle’s tongue caught in his mouth, brain still trying to catch up to what you’d said. “Snow?” He finally asked in a whisper, eyes searching your face for emotions he could read.

“Mhmm. Snow at dusk is always on the silvery colored side.”

For a while the two of you simply laid in silence, basking in each other before Riddle finally got his brain back online and said up to hover over you slightly.

“Wh- huh?” You gaped, surprised at his sudden movement.

“May I do something real quick?” He asked politely. He looked just as nervous as you did, biting his lip until it was nearly cherry red.

“Y-yeah, sure.” You stuttered out, laying still.

Riddle smiled a little, nervously planting both arms near your head before leaning down. He stared into your eyes for a moment, breathlessly murmured, “Stunning.” Before planting a gentle kiss on your lips.

The squeak that came out of you surprised him, and he smile softly as he pulled away.

“Was that okay?” He asked, somewhere between nervous and delighted, “I-I don’t mean to make you uncomfortable, I’ll never do it again if you-“

“I liked it.” You cut him off, blushing as well, “That was really nice. Though I think it would be better if I…” (smooch, but confident)

Idia

Idia genuinely seems like someone that doesn’t like being touched. Not that he’s afraid, per say, but he doesn’t seem to enjoy it, worried he might cause someone harm on accident between his hair and being bony as shit.

But this is your boyfriend! So I guess you just have to live with the fact that he smells rancid and is terrified of touching you (/hj)

After hearing that Idia is pretty uncomfortable with physically touching, you have to come up with some interesting ways to show him that kind of affection.

Each morning you send him electronic stickers of hugs, A la stickerme. In the afternoon, you go on club penguin and hold hands or throw snowballs at each other. In the evening, you hop onto your mutual open world rpg and find his avatar to victory dance with him.

In real life, you probably don’t see him a lot during the day, but when you do, he’ll maybe let you hold hands before marriage so long as you’re wearing gloves and don’t make eye contact. If he’s feeling really confident, he’ll let you brush shoulders or sit close together.

So it’s kind of a surprise when, after gaming for several hours next to each other in his dorm room, he taps your shoulder lightly.

Into your arms is thrust a fireproof jacket, and Idia’s hair is neatly tucked into a long braid.

“Hmm? What’s goin on, babe?”

Idia looks shy and fiddles with his hands as he mumbled and stutters out, “I know you like to cuddle, so I’ve been thinking about ways to do it.”

You raise an eyebrow, then smile, putting on the fireproof jacket and zipping it up, “if you’re not comfortable, we don’t have to.”

He shakes his head, nervously looking at his game for a second, “No, I’m…I want to. ‘Cause I love you, or whatever. God, that sounds so cheesy.”

“Sometimes cheesy is good.” You mumble back, settling into a more comfortable laying position.

Idia turns and smiles at you, hair turning a soft pink as he cuddles in, head resting on your chest.

“Thank you for being patient with me.” He says softly, smiling. He doesn’t look at you, but it’s easy to tell he’s pleased based on his tone and hair alone.

“Y-yeah, of course.” You mumble nervously, just as pink as him as you wrap your arms around him, “is this good?”

“Yeah, it’s perfect. You’re perfect.” He says earnestly. For once, he doesn’t go on a nervous Idia rant or try and backtrack, instead just letting his comment hang in the air before he pulls out is phone to watch some twsttoks with you.

Whether or not he can hear how hard your heart is beating isn’t clear, nor is whether or not he knows how hot your face is or how sweaty your palms are, but it’s probably safe to assume that he’s in a similar state.

You two lay there like that for hours, late into the wee hours of the morning. You even end up falling asleep like that, curled up together in Idia’s bed, phones out watching cat videos, snuggled together like two little imps straight from the underworld

Floyd

It seems like in between classes, you and Floyd always manage to find each other, no matter what. It’s honestly kind of impressive, since you two can be in classes on opposite sides of the campus and still manage to find each other.

It started out as a one off. You had gone to find Floyd and give him a quick hug and a snack to boost his mood after he sulked away from alchemy class and Jade had informed you to try and steer clear. You, being the doting parter you are, took none of that and instead went to the mystery shop to go stock up and various candies and bring them directly to your moody eel boyfriend.

He, in turn, lit up like a Christmas tree and absolutely threw himself at you every time he saw you for the rest of the day, enveloping you in several near bone-crushing squeezes with the ferocity of a lion’s jaw.

This became almost normal to you for the next week, and you could expect that whatever you were doing, wherever you are, Floyd is probably less than a minute away and he is going to barrel into you or possibly just lift you up and carry you off.

Now, however, was your chance to get revenge. You managed to sneak up behind him, only catching the attention of Jade who simply pretended he didn’t see you as he was talking to Floyd.

You pounce, jumping up and onto Floyd back with a giggle and a kiss to his cheek, wrapping your arms around him, “I got you!”

Floyd tensed for the hot second it took for him to process you, looking to Jade who was covering his mouth to hide a laugh. When he realized that it wasn’t serious, he finally turned and seemed almost surprised to see you.

“Shrimpy! There you are!” He grinned, leaning up to give you a kiss, “I was worried it was another assassin for a minute. What’re you doin up there?”

“I’m getting you back for all the squeezes.” You said simply.

Floyd’s grin turned somewhere between amused and sinister, sharp and wide, “That just means I’ll hafta get you back tenfold, huh?”

The yelp of surprise he earned when he managed to lift you over his head to cradle you in a bridal hold, peppering your face in kisses was well worth the look of disgust on half the halls faces and the look of terror on everyone else’s.

You looked to your potential savior, only to remember that Jade is also Floyd’s brother and definitely not going to help you, based on the look of amusement painted obviously on his face.

Instead you turned to Floyd, who had stopped covering your face in kisses to watch you with a dopey grin instead, and leaned up to give him the sweetest little peck on the cheek.

This, in a strange turn, caused Floyd to get all soft, eyes crinkling in perfect crescents in response and a light dusting of rose covering his cheeks. “Awww, lil’ shrimp. You’re making me wanna squeeze you so hard~”

You will not escape this cuddle bug of an eel (cuddle fish? Deep snuggle isopod? More fish puns?)

Jade

You sighed as you pressed yourself against Jade’s back, mumbling a greeting into the fabric of his blazer. Initially, he seems surprised, even a bit alarmed in his own Jade way, but when he turned only to see you, he relaxed in your grip, gently patting your hands in acknowledgement as he continued his conversation with Azul.

This was, evidently, a very common occurrence. If anyone else had tried to hug Jade from behind, they likely would have ended up with a dislocated shoulder and a sharp, cold glare piercing their soul. But with you, and a surprising lack of fear, this was just a Tuesday.

“Did you want me to make the menu for the next two weeks after that as well, or shall we play it by ear?” Jade asked his boss.

Azul, for his part, was mostly unfazed. Surprised that you would be so bold as to show Jade open affection in public, and more so that he hasn’t made any attempt to stop you, but not surprised that you’re doing it in general. “We’ll get to the menu after that when it comes up. I believe that’s all I needed to discuss, unless you have something?”

Jade did indeed have something, leaning in to whisper something to Azul. You, however, just continued to be latched onto his waist like a living belt. Eventually, when Azul had finally left, Jade turned his whole attention to you.

“Love, did something happen?”

“Just needed a pick me up.” You mumbled.

He frowned and turned around, detaching your arms from his waist as he held your hands instead, “I suppose I should attend to you then, hmm? We can’t have something so precious in dire straights, that wouldn’t do any good.”

Jade hums as he leans down give your forehead a kiss, brushing your hair from your face tenderly.

At the sight of your bright red cheeks and panicked eyes, he lets out a chuckle.

“Darling,” he coos, tipping your head up to look at him, “I thought you quite liked physical affection, no?”

“I-I…!” You stuttered out, squirming under his gaze, ”Of course I do! It’s just…weird being on the receiving end of it.” You mumbled, tuck your face into his chest.

He laughed softly, continuing to pet your head gently, “Do I not meet your needs, my love? Do you need more physical intimacy from me?”

“No!” You squeaked, hiding your face still, “This is good, just-“

“Just?” He hummed, forcing you out from hiding to look up at him, “if you need something from me, don’t be shy in telling me. I want to be the best partner I can be to you.”

You glared, huffing and gently smacking him in the stomach, “You’re already the best partner, I don’t need you changing just for me. And, it’s fine…I do like being touched ‘n all, I just never really…uh, expect it? So I come to you when I wanna cuddle. Seems easier that way.” You awkwardly trailed off, rubbing the back of your neck nervously, “Sorry, I made it weird.”

“Not at all,” Jade assured, an arm slipping around your waist, “I’m glad to hear that you wish to be upfront in your needs. It pleases me to know you value such clear communication.”

You blushed so hard it made your ears burn as he let out a soft clicking noise that may have been a laugh.

“Would you like to take a walk with me? Perhaps it will help with your mood. And besides that, I think we could use the time together.”

“Are you sure this isn’t just because you want a foraging buddy?”

“You wound me so.” He said, not at all upset, “Though, I suppose if we find any interesting flora on our walk….”

“You’re diabolical.” You laughed, bumping into him gently.

He gasped dramatically, “A slice directly to the heart. I shall never recover.”

“Do you want me to kiss it better?”

He hummed and leaned in, “Perhaps that could help my condition.” He murmured before pressing a lil kiss to your lips. “A wonder, I feel better already.”

“So do I.” You giggled, giving him another kiss.

jade & floyd honestly did not know what your significant other was thinking. they knew about your older brothers, they made sure of it. moreover, they knew how jade and floyd. when that didn’t scare them away, floyd had threatened to squeeze them several times. jade’s approach was more subtle. he would joke about something bad happening to your significant other while he was alone in a room with him, all while a grin was plastered upon his face.

it’s not that they don’t want you to date, it’s just that they have high standards for your significant other. as your older siblings, they believe (mainly floyd) that it’s their job to help you find someone who lives up to their incredibly long list of what your partner must be. the only way they would cease their constant scheming against your lover is if you got mad at them. however, just because their scheming ceases doesn’t mean that they’ll automatically come around to liking your significant other.

author's note: the title speaks for itself ^^ i wrote this in one sitting on the bus today in a moment of insanity and reread it just now so it might have mistakes, but yeah i hope you enjoy :D

"Prefect."

"Hmm?"

"Could I...have a kiss?"

Yuu blinked at the bold yet sudden request.

It was hard to say exactly where it came from, considering that the person asking went by the name of Azul Ashengrotto. The very Azul Ashengrotto was all polite smiles and business dealings. There was always a little wickedness in the glint of his glasses, honeyed words simply a lure to ensnare others into his carefully crafted machinations.

So what exactly did someone like that want when he asked a question of such caliber?

Yuu looked up from what they were doing. It wasn't that important of a task in comparison to the perplexing ultimatum that they were now faced with.

"I did hear you correctly, right?" They started, taking a moment to simply look at him. Azul was always easy on the eyes, from the way those lenses framed overcast eyes to the slight tap-tap-tap of his expensive leather shoes as he walked.

Yet for once he seemed...nervous. Yuu could sense the slightest bit of tension in his brow, and his hands seemed to fidget more the longer they stared.

"You...did indeed," Azul made a show of clearing his throat, trying to fill up the now-silent room. "I was being genuine–"

Yuu couldn't help but stifle a snort at that, and they smiled as they saw Azul's frown turn into more of a pout, "I-I really was. Asking, that is."

"You're asking me," The Prefect pointed at themselves, "To kiss you," They pointed at Azul. "On the lips." The octomer looked two seconds away from absolutely bursting into flames as he nodded, and Yuu couldn't help but think that baby pink suited him.

"For what reason, senpai?" Yuu angled their body towards Azul and suddenly it dawned on them how close they were. The two-seater that Azul kept lovingly in his VIP room felt small; they really could reach out and feel the candescent warmth of on face if they wanted to.

"Does there have to be a reason?" Azul asked, taking a cautionary shuffle toward them. The way he inched forward was almost endearing; like someone forced to do something exhiliratingly frightening.

"There does," Yuu held up a finger for every reason they spoke. "If it's for a contract, I decline. If it's for blackmail, I decline. If it has to do with a business proposal, I decli–"

"I get it!" Azul's voice raised before quieting down to a quiver. "I get it. But...what if it was an experiment?"

"An experiment? You're using me as the test subject?"

"I would never fathom such a thing," Azul rubbed at the bridge of his nose. It was fun to toy with Azul every once in a while. His reactions were surprisingly honest for someone who dealt with so much deceit.

"There's a...hypothesis about myself that ive been wanting to prove," The words were carefully laid out as if rehearsed. "And this is the only method I have to prove it."

Suddenly it felt like all the puzzle pieces had jostled into place.

Oh. So that was it.

They tried to keep their face straight when they lean just a little closer, "Is it something that can be measured by heart rate?"

Confusion seeped into Azul's face ever so slightly, "Heart rate?"

"What if..." Yuu let their hand drift, settling over Azul's own gloved one. "I do this? Does it make your heart race?"

"P-Prefect, that is highly–"

"Or maybe this is better?" Their tone feigned innocence, even as they slipped their fingers into his glove. Azul flinched, though he kept his hand still as Yuu's fingers slid up his palm in a slow caress.

Azul's glove now lay abandoned in his lap, his fingers trembling where they entwined with their own, "How about now, senpai?"

The silver haired's mouth drifted open and shut like a fish out of water. It was so endearing to see Azul Ashengrotto so terribly askew. There was a blush on his face that seemed almost insistent on staying, and his breaths were coming out in small stutters that Yuu could hear in the silence of the room.

"I think we should do one more test," Yuu declared and Azul finally snapped back to attention.

He tried to tug his hand back, "N-no, isn't this enough testing?"

"Is it?" Yuu tilted their head in contemplation. "You haven't told me your findings yet. And besides," Yuu's voice dropped into a croon. "We haven't tried your method yet."

It must've been some grand feat for them to have the opportunity to see Azul so throughly speechless not once, but twice.

"Senpai," Yuu smiled lightly. "Don't you want to kiss me?"

"That's...unfair," There was a slight pout to Azul's lips even as they drifted closer.

They left a touch to his jaw, sliding a finger up and behind his ear. Their other hand tugged at Azul's bowtie, leaving him looking handsomely disheveled. Yuu felt their heart flutter at the sight. He was absolutely stunning.

Their foreheads touch, "How's your heart rate now?"

"Sevens you're killing me," A shaky laugh escaped Azul's lips, "It's beating so hard that I feel like I'm going to die."

They grinned at him, "Don't die on me now."

The first press of lips was soft. Azul's lips felt plush and almost cool against theirs as they leaned in further. Azul's body tremored as Yuu guided him backward onto the couch. There was a gasp as they tilted their head ever so slightly, letting a sigh escape their lips.

They pulled back, only to feel a hand too strong holding onto their shirt, the other clumsily finding its way to Yuu's shoulder and tugging them closer.

Yuu indulged in him, leaning in once more in a more unhurried kiss. They could feel the thud-thud-thud of Azul's heart against their own chest and they couldn't help but nip at his lip just a little. Azul let out a small surprised noise, and Yuu felt a warm buzz fill them at causing such a reaction.

When they were finally allowed to pull away, Yuu couldn't help but let their eyes wander to the part of Azul's mouth as his breaths came and went. They reached forward, tucking a strand of his hair behind his ear. Azul didn't look all there yet, staring into them in a quiet daze.

"So, have you figured it out yet?" They asked, feeling equally as breathless as Azul looked. "Do you like me?"

Azul's eyes snapped to theirs, "Wait, how did y–" He gasped, slapping a hand over his mouth. And they cheered internally at his slip up. It was nice of Azul to put an end to his own mindgames for once.

"So you do like me," Yuu exclaimed, watching as the red reapplied itself to Azul's cheeks and ears once more. "And for the record, senpai, I do like you back." Azul looked like he had a little too much to say before the door cracked open.

Floyd's head popped in, "Are you and Shrimpy done kissing yet~? Jade left the papers we needed for work." Azul backpedalled– or at least, tried to. Not that there was much room to move when they had him caged in like this.

"Ah, apologies for the interruption," Jade entered the room, not batting an eye at how Yuu took the opportunity to lie down on his boss' chest. "I told Floyd we should return later, but–"

"But me 'n Jade were curious," Floyd grinned lazily. "Hey, Azul, didja end up using the advice I gave you?"

Yuu's turned their head at that, "Advice? What advice?"

"The advice that–"

"Floyd Leech," And there it was. Azul's feared warning tone. Though its effectiveness almost fell by half from how red and blushy he looked as he used it. "One more word out of either you or Jade and I will make you do the boring stuff."

"My, to think I am also included in that," Jade said in mock sadness. "It is sad how we have helped so much but were given so little."

"'S true~ Me 'n Jade helped you a lot."

"...You both get a bonus this month," Azul mumbled defeatedly. "Now leave already. Please."

"Well since you said please," Floyd shrugged, giving Yuu a wave. "See ya, Shrimpy."

As the door clicked shut, their eyes slid over to Azul's own. Looking at them this close, they looked bluer than ever, like clear skies instead of stormy ones.

"So....which part was their plan?"

"Please don't," Azul pressed his hands against his face. "I don't think I'll be able to recover from everything if you knew."

"Hmm," Yuu turned their ear toward Azul's chest. "Then why don't we take a nap?"

"E-excuse me? But I still have work to d–"

"Today's our first day, right?" There was another sly grin on their face. "Of dating?"

Azul's heartbeat picked up in speed at their words, "Y-yes."

"So let's make this our first date as a couple," They mumbled, yawning lightly. "Let's take a nap."

"I...okay," Azul's voice sounded resigned and they felt him shift underneath them. His arms came to cradle them— an attempt at cuddling so very Azul that they couldn't help but laugh. They helped him out, nestling into his side and using their blazer as a blanket for the both of them.

Yuu secretly smiled, reminding themselves to thank the tweels for their, mm, hint prior to entering the room.

"Azul's going to make a request from me? And I should accept no matter what?"

"Yup, yup! Just be a good Shrimpy and do it~"

"It is a beneficial request for both you and Azul, so please consider it."

So you could say that Yuu knew that something would be happening this whole time. Well...what Azul doesn't know wouldn't kill him right? For now they enjoyed the feeling of Azul's hand tracing patterns into their back as they lied there together. It certainly was a first kiss to remember.

You sigh at the sight in front of you.

Floyd could get rowdy sometimes, you knew that. And he also has a tendency of chasing trouble, so it shouldn't be any surprise to find him as ruffled as you did. 

Still, usually he was the one doing the beating, so you weren't used to seeing him littered with bruises and a pouty expression indicating his foul mood.

You shake your head, setting the first aid kit on the bed beside him. You had to drag him to your room to attend to his wounds, him protesting weakly and pouting the whole time, insisting it was fine and he didn't need to be coddled.

"Now, stay still for me to clean it up, alright?"

He just glares at you, an expression that might have scared off the majority of NRC campus, but wasn't effective on you. You knew he wouldn't do anything to hurt you, he just wanted to be left alone to lick his own wounds and sulk, which you weren't about to let happen.

Your hand lifts the gauze pad with antiseptic to his face, making him dogde stubbornly. You try a few more times, with no success. Floyd just glares on. You bite your lip, wondering how you should go about this.

"Please, Floyd, it could get infected if I don't clean it." Even if you know your plea won't be very effective, you still give it a try.

"I don't care."

The frustrated noise that leaves your throat makes his lips twich upwards. He was enjoying messing with you, it seemed.

The next time you do the motion, he doesn't bother dodging, just swipping away your hand like it was a pesky fly. 

"Just leave me alone Shrimpy, I don't wanna play right now."

"It'd be over very quickly if you'd just let me do it."

"Hah? Why should I? You don't get to order me around." He does the scary face that usually wards off anyone that might be bothering him, arms crossing, voice dropping and pupils contracting, lips forming a snarl that shows just enough of his pointy teeth.

You lower your arm and set the gauze down, eyebrows furrowing at him. "Alright." Better to not push him too much and make him close up. There's no point in trying to aggravate a sea storm. "How about a hug, then? Surely it'll make you feel better."

Floyd's scary façade breaks, giving way to surprise. He never understands how you could ask for something the others avoid as if their lives depend on it, yet you do it time and time again. The truth is, Floyd could easily squeeze until he felt your ribs breaking under his palms, but there's something about the way you treat him, the way you actually seem to like having him around, that makes him be more gentle.

(Jade pointed it out, once. He made a side comment about how Floyd's hugs are unusually soft when it's with you. At the time you didn't agree, as they are still very tight, but you started to pay more attention. His hugs might envelop you whole and trap you in his arms with no way of getting out, but they never left bruises or made you breathless. His laughter sounds more genuine as well. It has only served to fuel your affection towards him. You have a feeling that was Jade's plan all along.)

Floyd stares at you before unfolding his arms, spreading them out for you. An invitation. "Since you're so cute, Shrimpy, if I squeeze you reaaal hard it might change my mood."

A small smile forms on your face, endeared by his redundant way of asking for a hug. The empty threat doesn't faze you and you waste no time in straddling his lap, letting his arms hold onto your waist and back tightly as your hands clasp behind his neck, burrowing your face on his shoulder. 

It's a comfort both of you are used to, the contact making him relax and prop his chin on the top of your head. You breath in deeply and sigh contently, tickling his skin and making him giggle on your hair. Your smile grows as you notice how his mood has improved already.

A few moments pass like this, Floyd's hand making patterns on your back and your hand playing with the hair at the nape of his neck. You wait until you think he's calmer before pulling away by pushing his shoulders, coming face to face with him. He whines at the loss of contact, squeezing your waist in protest. 

You let out a huff of laughter at his affronted expression, but you can sense the playfulness under it. You cup his cheek with one hand, tenderly brushing your thumb on the sore spot and making him squeeze his eyes shut because of the sting. "I'll take care of it now." You murmur, getting the gauze back and apllying it on the wound before he could complain, wipping off the flakes of blood that clung to his skin.

He whines as you clean the cut on his eyebrow and the blood down his nose and on his lips, one hand on his chin to keep his head still. You only hum in response, analyzing your work and covering the bruises with a colorful plaster. 

"There you go, all done."

There's a petulant frown on his face, clashing with the eye cathing patterns of the plaster and his messy hair, his eyes boring into you with some emotion you can't describe. You feel a rush of affection flow through yourself, so sudden it makes you feel light headed. You cup his cheeks and brings his face closer to yours, giving the tip of his nose a light kiss before pulling away once more. You're, as they say, kissing it better.

There's a tinkle in your eyes as you look back at him, they wrinkle at the corners as your smile stretches your cheeks. Floyd's face feels hot and he doesn't know what to make of it all, what to make of you. Your fingers are warm against his cold skin and so unbearably tender. He can feel your heartbeat against his, your weight on top of him, your sweet scent surrounding him. He isn't used to this, to being treated as if he's precious, as if he's something worth of protecting, of taking care of, of looking so fondly at.

Floyd is not fragile. He isn't weak and he can take care of himself just fine. He is vicious and can be cruel and doesn't care about the feelings of others, as long as he's having his fun. He doesn't bother trying to rein his emotions in and he's scary and the campus avoid him like the plague and he doesn't care. He really doesn't. But when you took the time to get to know him, when you stayed by his side regardless of his mood, when you look at him with eyes so full of affection, never fear, he feels like he can let himself open up a bit. And then a bit more, and a little more and suddenly Floyd's walls are crumbled on his feet and you stand right on top of their ruins, victorious smile shining down on him and he lets himself think that maybe it's alright to be vulnerable, to let someone take care of him. 

"Does something still hurt? You're awfully quiet." Your voice lulls him like the calm waves, your hands kiss his skin like sun rays on the beach, your scent a refreshing breeze. He wants to lose himself in it, on you.

Instead of answering, he props his head on your shoulder, a needy sound leaving his throat, nuzzling on your neck, feeling you, you, you. You're safe. He grips your waist tighter, making sure you stay flush against him and let him enjoy the moment.

You laugh, being used to his antics. Your hand reaches the back of his head and you play with his hair, the other one on his back. You leave a kiss on the top of his head, resting yours against his and preparing to stay like this for some time.

The moment eventually breaks when Floyd nips on your neck lightly, his sharp teeth stinging and making you yelp. He chuckles next to your ear, saying how Shrimpy put him in a better mood already.

It seems like kissing it better did work, after all.

I absolutely loved chapter 6 it’s honestly my favorite chapter (It probably helps that Idia is my fav character) I was so excited to watch it when I found the translation on YouTube but when I watched it for the first time I literally sobbed because of how emotional the story is ;u; still a 10/10 plot but man was it sad- 🦭

so this was actually a random idea that started as a simple "someone has the audacity of this type of person" and it just got into uh, something. I can't even manage to describe this post lol

(fun fact: Neige doesn't have a smug face so I had to joint his angry expression with a smile to create this mildly uncomfortable with the situation he's in but Chenya said it was going to be fun, so I'll do my best to appear "bad")

things I noticed about the broom bloom birthday cards (based on ONLY Jamil & Ace)

This might give us some insight on the patterns future cards in this series might have! Please note that this may become outdated when other cards roll around.

I didn’t notice any pattern for the interviewers yet except that Silver and Epel happen to be in the same year as the birthday boys they spoke with.

It seems like a lot of the interview questions themselves are centered around magic, the birthday boy’s feelings about it, and how it is used (what is his best subject, how strong of a flier is he, what makes him glad that he is able to use magic, etc). More magic lore?????? 👀 We also get a few more personal questions about what the boy hopes to do in the future and what they do in the future.

It seems that both Jamil and Ace’s bouquets have dahlias in them, which are the birth flower for the month of September. This may indicate that future birthday boys’ bouquets will also feature their respective birth month flower.

Something I noticed when Ace was teased was that his background and Jamil’s are flipped. Notice how the sun is on our left side in Jamil’s but on the right side in Ace’s. I was wondering why that was…? But then I saw their Groovies (spoilers below the cut) and I thought maybe it was to indicate different times of day??? Jamil’s is clearly at daytime and Ace’s at night… but that’s kind of weird considering that the sun rises in the east (Ace’s) and sets in the West (Jamil’s).

Continuing from the last point, maybe the difference is Groovy lighting and sun placement is because Jamil is first in the month (day) and Ace is later in the month (night)? Maybe the two boy that share a birthday per month will follow the day/night look.

Hmm, what about the boys who are the only ones in a particular month (Sebek for March and Leona for July)? Maybe they’ll be somewhere inbetween day and night, or maybe Sebek will be day (since he comes first) and Leona will be night?

Number 1: You can make requests specifcally for the vampire au!! Actually, I’m asking you to. Please do because I’d like to write a few things for Halloween/October. It doesn’t have to be x reader, either! If you want a piece of lore (and if I have the answer lol) I’d be happy to expand upon bits and pieces between characters and whatnot. Whether it’s HCs or a little fic depends on my mood and the time I have. 

Just request via the usual google form and make sure to put (Vampire AU) or something else to specify in the box where you type your request! [I know that the more special scenarios I add the more confusing requesting gets, so if you want specific groups of people or something that I don’t have boxes just write it in the request box in the form and I’ll figure it out <3 Sorry to be picky but the gform genuinely helps me stay motivated]

VAMP AU - basics vii.

So, you want to know about the Diasomnia Coven? Well, good luck finding anything out. They say this coven has a living history, and reliable documentation is difficult to find, let alone any vampires themselves.

CW: blood, death, stalking/hunting, religious imagery, dark/obsessive/possessive characters. this au is not NSFW, but it does deal with darker content and sometimes discusses sensuality and sensual topics. reader discretion is advised.

The Diasomnia Coven isn’t really a coven at all (if it was, it’d beat out Pomefiore as the oldest) - it’s a small group of vampires living just on the edge of the barrier between worlds, an offshoot of the realm where most of the true vampires reside. The future keeper of all vampires has been in mourning for thousands of years, and the others keep watch over him while maintaining a balance between both the realms. There is an abandoned village with a forgotten and decimated stone castle, miles and miles away from any humans, where they reside. The mourning keeper insists there are memories that play within the village when the circumstances are just right…

Nobody knows much about these vampires, and very few humans know they exist. They’re a sort of urban legend among the vampires though, both turned and true vampires whispering every little detail they have about the mysterious brethren living in an untouchable forest. Legend says that the Diasomnia vampires are more powerful than even most vampires within the vampire realm, and they’re awfully shrewd, too. Rather than hunt humans, they trick any who dare come close to their cursed forest to follow them to their lair, where the human is then hypnotized and used for a food source until they die. If vampires ever have to tread near the forest, they always go on an empty stomach, hoping to reduce their chances of being swept away. Many do not return.

…This is all a fabrication, of course. (These vampires just like to play a few good-natured tricks, and the vampires die often in the forest because they purposely deprive themselves of food and there are no humans around.) The truth is much more sad, and is halting the progress between the realms as well as endangering the balance of magic. But vampires are stubborn, and it’s hard to shake a man from mourning when condemned himself within sorrow for eternity.
