you stood at the bus stop, anxiously wringing your hands as you waited for your boyfriend to arrive. you'd been watching live when the final results were announced and received a text from him not even ten minutes later that he'd see you soon. he didn’t sound too distressed over the phone, but you weren’t sure how he’d be in person.

finally, you spot the faded blue bus turn the corner and stand from the bench, eager to reach out and hold your boyfriend. you waited for the bus to slow and felt goosebumps erupt over your arms when you spotted nagi through the window.

the doors opened, and there he was.

his hoodie and hair were slightly rumpled, as if he’d fallen asleep on the ride back. there was a blue lock bag clutched in one fist as the other hand was wrapped loosely around the strap of his personal backpack. his eyes looked a bit distracted as he stepped off the bus, and you spread your arms out wide.

“aw, baby,” you cooed when he dropped both bags onto the ground and stepped into your embrace, nearly knocking you over with how heavily he hugged you.

“‘m sorry,” you heard him mumble into your hair. you gently pulled his face away and cupped it between your hands, his arms still wrapped around your waist. “i wanted you to be proud of me.”

you hoped he couldn’t hear the sound of your heart breaking as it shattered in your chest. “sei, i am proud of you.” you brushed his white bangs from his eyes as he shook his head. “i let you ‘nd reo down. i wanted to keep playing with him and the others. sucks.”

sighing, you pulled his face into the crook of your neck so you could run your fingers through his hair and down his back. “then you get better. you practice, you find your ego, and you play. just because you aren’t playing with them now doesn’t mean this is the end for you.”

nagi nuzzled his nose against your neck. “i cried,” he announced, sounding slightly embarrassed by the confession. “after i left. reo, too. he tried really hard to fight for my spot. feels bad.”

you tightened your grip on him. you’d seen that live; you felt those emotions, too. “that’s okay. he cried because he cares about you, you know. not because he was mad at you.”

“… still.” nagi squeezed you around the middle and you fought the urge to break down right then and there. he was clearly upset and seemed conflicted over that.

stepping out of his grasp, you placed a soft smile on your face and caressed his cheek with your thumb. “you’re home, now. let’s celebrate that for a little bit! i found a place that makes really good lemon tea not far from here.”

Katsuki doesn't let either of you go to bed upset. After an argument, you storm back into your shared bedroom at 11 PM, fully expecting him to be asleep, but he’s not. He’s there, sitting against the headboard, the dim glow of the bedside lamp casting warm shadows over the hard lines of his body. His chin rests against his hand, fingers pressed into his check like they’re the only thing keeping him wake. His crimson eyes find yours, tired and unreadable, lingering on you in a way that sends a shiver down your spine. 

“Finally ready to talk?” he asks, voice low and rough, as though he hasn’t spoken in hours. As if your name’s been sitting on the edge of his throat all night, waiting for the moment you’d come back.

You swallow hard, shoulders tense. You want to be angry still, want to cling to the pride that made you storm away in the first place. But the way he looks at you, baggy-eyed, distant, but not cruel. It breaks down whatever resentment you had left and for a fleeting moment you think it is unfair.

“I didn’t think you’d still be awake,” you say softly, eyes darting away like you’re ashamed, like part of you wanted him to chase after you when you stormed out of this room hours before.

He exhales through his nose, shifting just slightly. “Of course I am. What kinda man do you think I am?”

The words hit you like a punch to the chest. Not because they’re harsh, but because they’re honest. Blunt. Him.

You move slowly, like your body’s still unsure, and he watches you the whole time. Never pushing, never rushing, just waiting. And when you finally cross the room and sit on the edge of the bed, you feel the tension in his frame start to ease.

“I hate fighting with you,” you whisper, more to yourself than him. Arms reflexively wrapped round your frame.

“I hate fighting with you,” he says immediately, voice thick with something that makes your throat tighten. You feel. the bed shift and his heat radiated behind you. “But I’ll do it if it means we get better. If it means we don’t let this shit sit between us like poison.”

His hands brush your elbow first. A reminder. He rubs at your skin and something inside you aches. Your smaller hands find his without thinking, fingers brushing together. He grips you gently, just enough to let you know he’s still here, still yours, no matter what.

You don’t apologize with words. Not yet. You both will…. eventually. But for now, in the quiet of your shared bedroom, under the soft glow of the lamp and the quiet buzz of forgiveness hanging in the air, you let him pull you close.

He presses his forehead to yours, breath warm against your lips. Crimson eyes hidden.

“No goin’ to bed mad, remember?” he murmurs. “That was the deal.”

And you nod. Because when it comes to love, his love, it’s not about being right.

It’s about coming back.

You can’t help but laugh, finding it almost endearing how lost he looks. “You’re not meant to eat it you know.” you tease — amused. “If you keep licking it off you’ll probably get sick.” He barely registers your words, already leaning in closer. Desperation clear as day, and not a single thought behind those eyes. “Don’t care. Want more.” He pauses, his voice barely above a whisper. “It tastes… good.” You giggle and shaking your head, how could you not to find him too cute. He’s completely fixated on the lip oil now. “You’re addicted huh?” You can’t help but laugh a little. “I’m not addicted…” He says, tone seriously. As if he was trying to convince himself more than you. He leans forward — mouth slightly agape. Giving you the cutest most impatient stare.

You roll your eyes but the soft smile tugging at your lips betrays you. “Only once though okay? Dior lip oil is too expensive to be licking off every second. Even if it’s you.” He tilts his head, as if to process what you’ve said. “Dior…? Mmm. Worth it.” You can’t help but laugh again, while reaching out for the little bottle on your bed side table. “see look” you say, unscrewing the cap, the scent of cherry filling the air as you dab a little more on your lips.

He watches with rapt attention, and then without missing a beat, he leans in the moment you finish. He presses his lips to yours — slow and deliberate, as if he’s savoring every single second of it. The kiss is languid, but it carries that same sense of urgency from before, like he’s trying to capture the last bit of the sweetness before it’s gone. His mouth moves against yours with almost a reverence. Like he’s trying to hold onto the taste for as long as he can.

And when you finally pull back, he stays close. His lips barely apart and his eyes were still closed in that blissed out way. “Mmm… better than food” he murmurs.“An I gonna have to put lip oil in your food now?” You tease. His eyes flicker open, still half-lidded and a dazed expression. “Maybe.” He shrugs lazily — as if it’s the most reasonable suggestion in the world. “Wouldn’t mind.” You shake your head, laughing at how ridiculous he is. And he looks at you with that same almost lazy affection. His gaze says everything; he could live on this moment forever if you let him.

streamer!nagi swears he doesn't like to show you off, but he really does.

streamer!nagi basically forces you to be in the background when he has his facecam on. he purposely streams around the times when you clean up, enjoying how the viewers try to catch your attention and say hi to you. sometimes he even has silent streams, with you in clear view tucked in bed and sleeping, occasionally tossing and turning.

streamer!nagi tends to keep his layouts simple, or just default. but one day your ship name with him was trending on twitter. why? he changed his youtube banner; it was just a white background with the name slapped in the middle of it. no colour, no shapes, nothing else. minimum effort, but he went out of his way to make it himself. impressive, huh?

streamer!nagi always has a random accessory or clip in his hair. no, it's not a gift from a fan, it's from you. or maybe his hair is slightly tussled, and when he gets questioned about it he makes no effort to fix it, because you're the one who messed it up.

streamer!nagi is always matching with you in all of his games. matching skins, matching usernames, matching anything. his weak attempts to convince everyone that it's only him on his minecraft world are just funny at this point, because: two different colour beds together, the buildings that he would've never built for himself, always making two of an item when he only needs one... yeah.

streamer!nagi is always saying he needs a certain agent with him when he plays valorant. he fakes a frown, mumbling something about "needing his reyna here" or "not winning because his usual duo isn't here". he literally plays pro and has carried his team on his own multiple times. does he really need you there, or is he just missing you?

streamer!nagi tends to ignore donations. but when specific messages tick him off, like trying to flirt with him, he calls them out by name, responding with how he'll wisely use the money to spend on his partner.

She’s drunk, sitting cross-legged on his bedroom floor. The tips of Atsumu’s knees brush against hers. He has a dying lighter in his hands and a poorly rolled joint between his lips. He doesn’t get it lit until his fifth try. Her head spins.

She watches through half-closed eyes as Atsumu inhales, and then tilts his head back to blow smoke up towards his ceiling. The smell of it combines with his heavy cologne. Watching his hands grounds her.

“Here,” Atsumu says, and he lifts the joint towards her lips. He doesn’t wait for her response before he’s placing it between her lips, holding it delicately with two fingers. She inhales like she was told to, and Atsumu hums. “You look so pretty like that.”

There’s a delay in her head, and she doesn’t hear his words until she’s exhaling through her nose and Atsumu’s hand’s retracted. She feels dizzier than before.

Atsumu doesn’t say things like that to her. He shouldn’t. It makes her throat tighten up and her skin prickles. “Tsumu,” she drunkenly slurs, pulling her knees up to her chest, “don’t say things like that to me.”

“Yeah?” he says, smoke billowing from his mouth as he speaks. “Why not?”

She’s not drunk enough to feel embarrassed. She thinks that maybe she will be in the morning, when she remembers that this is real, and her words hold weight. “Cuz it makes me want to kiss you.”

Atsumu doesn’t say anything for a while. He doesn’t say anything for so long that it makes her think that she made a mistake. Her eyes find the ground, and her cheeks grow hot.

“D’ya mean that?” he asks, voice suddenly lower.

Her eyes flash up to meet his. His eyes seem dark. He clenches his jaw and his Adam’s apple bobbles in his throat as he swallows. “Yeah,” she says lightly, afraid to be any louder than she is.

Atsumu grins, then. Slight and easy, and it makes her stomach flip. “You can kiss me in the morning, then, if you still mean it.”

She sleeps in his bed that night, limbs sprawled out and entangled in his. He keeps an arm over her chest and he snores in her ear. She tosses and turns but he doesn’t let her get an inch. When morning comes, Atsumu doesn’t let her forget.
