pinkie guy
Maybe watching all canon gen 4 content in timeline order was a bad idea. Dont get me wrong, I'm loving all of the Equestria Girls content BUT THERE'S SO MUCH??? So many shorts, and specials, and series, and movies, and my brain is so so small. I only have two seasons left of FiM and I'm itching to get going on them but I still have eqg shit to watch đđ
S9 E18 âShe Talks to Angelâ
THIS IS EPISODE IS AMAZINGGGG Iâm never going to get over Angel in Fluttershyâs body saying âI talk to animals, I wanna marry Discordâ PUHLEASEEE I will never recover from this.
They have the same flavor of autism
These two were so patient with Pinkie Pie and I think thatâs great. Theyâre the best canon couple in the series and no one can change my mind.
LOOK AT THEM SMILE WITH EACH OTHER
"The creative team considers how the personality of each character translates into facial expressions, body language, props, and home environment. The Mane Six -- Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Apple Jack, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie -- each have expressions and style characteristics that are unique to that character, as well as general expressions that they all share. According to the DHX Media team, 'There are certainly characters that would make different expressions, like you might do something with Pinkie Pie that you would never do with Applejack or Twilight or Rarity. So we don't have something that's specific for just one character, but we avoid certain expressions if it goes outside their personalities.'"
From My Little Pony: The Art of Equestria by Mary Jane Begin
Iâve gotta say, I really enjoyed My Little Pony: The Movie. I wasnât entirely sure what to expect going into it. I think the pacing was done well, and I like the depth that we got to see in Tempest. She was an antagonist, but she also wasnât a villain. She was just a hurt kid who wanted to feel normal again.
These two scenes really showed us how small and hopeless Tempest really feels, despite the fact that The Storm King seems like the most harmless villain ever. I mean obviously he isnât entirely harmless; but he doesnât seem very smart. Without Tempests help, he never would have been able to steal the Alicorn magic. Which makes me wonder why Tempests didnât just do it all on her own. Is that explained in the movie?
I also love that they didnât give her the horn back. She doesnât need to be fixed; the world needs to see her as she is, and she is learning to come to terms with that. I think the movie portrayed this message well. Itâs a good metaphor for any kind of disability in our modern society.
This movie also a had a lot of frames with all of the mane 6 together that were very pretty.
I also want to say that I really enjoy that the movie didnât have the same animation and art style as the show. At first it felt strange, but it quickly became refreshing.
As a little treat, here are some other frames I really super duper like ^^
angry Spike is very funny lmao
I haven't watched any g5 content yet. However, during a rant about the MLP franchise doing call-backs to gen 1-3 ponies, I found this!! Posey from g5!!! Same cutie mark and everything!
I had no idea they did this. It's probably common knowledge among g5 fans, but it's super cool to me. I'm excited to see if they have more instances of this after I finish my g4 rewatch.
G5 leaves a sour taste in my mouth without even trying (let me be gate-keepy about my ponies in peace) but I'm willing to give it a shot and I will attempt shelve my nostalgia for FiM I'm order to give an honest review. Stay tuned folks đŤĄ
