Writing Advice for Brainstorming

Mix genres and time periods: Experiment by combining elements from different eras or genres to create unique settings and narratives.

Use "what if" scenarios: Pose unexpected questions (e.g., What if time travel operated on emotions rather than mechanics?) to spark novel ideas.

Draw from diverse mediums: Engage with art, music, or even scientific papers to inspire unexpected plot twists.

Embrace absurdity: Let illogical or surreal ideas guide you; sometimes the wildest thoughts lead to compelling stories.

Reverse clichés: Identify common tropes in your favorite genres and deliberately invert them to create fresh perspectives.

Incorporate personal anomalies: Transform your idiosyncrasies and personal struggles into rich, multi-dimensional characters.

Use mind-mapping: Visually plot your ideas in a freeform way to uncover hidden connections between disparate elements.

fave instrument : the piano ,,, since i learned it when i was young and being the unmotivated person that i am, i stopped learning it to the point that i'm only left looking at the piano in the house

aesthetic : rainy days and the underlying petrichor it brings, coffee shops with low music playing from the speakers as i review my lessons or read a book, oversized sweaters that practically cover my hands, tucked t-shirts in high-waisted loose jeans, the scent of both old and new books (i just want a scented candle of this hngngn), pastel colors on basically everything with a hint of neutral colors if i'm feeling a little aloof, flowers flowers flowers 🌼🌸🌺🌻💐, songs that scream soft and pastel (in other words lofi), erasable highlighters and calligraphy headers in notebooks, moongazing and basically talking about random things the whole night, late-night dinners with friends as we laugh at a horrible attempt at a joke without a care for the world, random drawings at the back of every notebook i own, and lastly, telling kenma i love him every single day of the week just to remind him how much of an amazing person he is ✨

fave author : i grew up loving rick riordan bcos pjo is my childhood, but right now, it would be cassandra clare and marissa meyer bcos their books are absolutely gorgeous (when i say gorgeous, i mean their way of telling stories ☺)

fave animal sound : the whines dogs make when they want your love and attention ,, it just warms my heart to see them nudge you and make that sound while flashing those big eyes up at you

random : it's raining here !! yey !! and i'm trying to finish my current artwork which is a female version of one of the characters in haikyuu 👀
