A/N: how we liking the header? Your local writer who cannot draw for shit decided that she’ll spend time drawing instead of working on things she should actually do uwu I’m such a diehard harvest moon stan and I’ve debated for so long if I want to do this but since its the one year anniversary of this blog, I feel like there is no better time than now ouo this is a passion project for me and I hope that you’ll have as much fun reading it as I do planning the whole thing out!

The neon lights were bright in the big city but with a pace so fast that you couldn’t keep up, it was easy to get lost and slowly questioning if that really was the life you wanted.

When you found yourself barely able to breath amidst the mundane routine that you were stuck in, the letter that came in from your grandparents seemed to be the answer to your calls for change. With them wanting to retire, they had asked you to take over the ranch for them and though hesitated to make such an important decision in your life, you said yes and moved to Yuuei Town with a heart filled with excitement and nerve.

Working on the ranch is a lot of hard work but you were sure that you would manage with the help from other lovely town folks. Enjoying the simple yet fulfilling life of farming, settling in with the rest of the town, or even venture deeper into the woods, your new life was in your own hands and there were so many possibilities. Who knows, perhaps you would even find that special someone to share this new life with.;)

Oikawa’s toss in S2E24

I just wanted to analyze the iwaoi scene where Oikawa tosses across to Iwaizumi (who doesn’t score) so here I go! (pls bear in mind that this is only my personal interpretation of the scene)

When Oikawa was pointing to the direction he was going to toss towards, he placed absolute trust in Iwaizumi that he would definitely hit it no matter what; as he said before, Iwaizumi always hits Oikawa’s tosses without fail (some time in S1). It’s not that he placed a burden or responsibility on Iwaizumi, but that he believed and trusted that Iwaizumi would be able to hit it regardless.

Look at the way Oikawa’s tossing it and look at the trajectory of ball. That was an abrupt turn-and-toss added on to toss that was all performed in the blink of an eye, and he already tossed it so that the ball would fall perfectly at Iwaizumi’s peak spiking point by he time Iwaizumi ran directly forwards. Not only does this show pure skill and that it means Oikawa knows his playing style like the back of his hand, but it also suggests that he made Iwaizumi’s spiking easier by tossing it so that he only needed to run straight up to spike it.

Oikawa pointed and tossed perfectly to him, thus placing all of his trust on him that he would score, that he would make it. It almost seems as if Oikawa himself didn’t even think much about himself in that moment, and I think that reflects how well they know each other and the perfect synergy they’ve adopted throughout years of training together. Oikawa did whatever he could in order to ensure Iwaizumi could hit the ball, which ultimately involved him crashing into the side benches afterwards.

When Oikawa got back up again so quickly after falling into the chairs, I was slightly confused at why he recovered so rapidly, as each team is only allowed to touch the ball 3 times, and no player can be in contact with the ball more than once before it goes over the net (or so I believe), in which Oikawa had just tossed the ball. And then I realized. It’s uncertainty and fear. Oikawa is scared that he didn’t provide the perfect toss for Iwaizumi. He’s so anxious to the point where he doesn’t even look at where his feet are positioned before he gets up, only to fall again by tripping on the cloth. It goes to show that he wants to get up and ensure that Iwaizumi manages a successful spike regardless of how he is himself.

And then there’s his face; he’s desperate and scared. I realized that he might’ve looked this way because he was afraid that he HIMSELF didn’t toss the ball properly, and didn’t trust himself that he had made the perfect toss for Iwaizumi to hit it, despite their perfect mental sync and synergy. I guess it just goes to show how even though Oikawa is evidently talented and highly skilled, there are still moments when he wavers and cannot rely solely on his instinct and experience, and there will be times that their entire team may lose (which they do, but that’s not the point) because of this fear, perhaps.

It’s not as if he doesn’t have the whole layout of the court and Iwaizumi’s spiking habits memorized, but it may be that he doesn’t trust himself enough to acknowledge that the toss was perfect for Iwaizumi and literally “dead on”. Perhaps it goes to show that Oikawa isn’t as confident and self-aware as he may appear to be, and that he has yet to acknowledge and realize the full extent of his ability.

Do I hate how Voltron ended? Yes

Do I believe that it did a lot of its characters dirty? Yes

Am I still going to watch my favorite episodes and scenes and read fanfiction for the show? Oh absolutely

Life will break you.

Twist and bend you beyond belief.

It will hurt, and you suppose, maybe, that’s why your eyes are closed, body and mind floating aimlessly in darkness. It hurt enough for you to sleep. You can’t feel, all senses crumbled and gone. Numb. The seconds, minutes, even hours, at least you think, pass, and you realize just how alone you are.

There’s something strange; somehow only your heart aches and aches, cries, from wounds you can’t see. And, you’re so terrified, searching for comfort, for protection, but it all seems nonexistent, as suited, in this realm of nothing. Nerves, tiny creatures of evil gluttony, feed at your core, taking small nibbles, hurting you slowly, bitterly. Your chest heaves harder, oxygen stuttering until there’s absolutely nothing left to inhale and leaving you to suffocate in prison.  

You tell yourself it’s okay; to take a moment and to stay calm. While you struggle to maintain sanity, you count the time it takes for you to open your lids and to be able to see—one, two, three—and, suddenly, a glow, warm and bright and golden like the sun, emerges in the distance. 

Unusual sensations tingle your body, racing through your veins in electrical delight, and finally spurring you to see the world, blackness fading away bit by bit. The morning kisses your irises, pupils constricting at its brilliance. It’s overwhelming. You move your lips, attempt to speak, but it’s a pitch so high and so innocent that echoes through your throat, and it’s one that you don’t recognize. And, you’re in utter shock, now anxious, of the turn of events. When you move, you find that you’re wrapped tightly in a cloth, drenched by…water? Then, it hits you, the sound of the tides.

You’re floating in the sea.

The way he looked at you were like two fiery stars in the cosmos, burning brilliantly and indefinitely while being surrounded by the shrouded cape of infinity.

Bakugo couldn’t remember when it became a hobby to stare at you. He often found himself gazing out the window of his classroom, receiving the lecture through a blur of sounds as if his head was underneath the pool of water outside the yard. His crimson eyes were upon the cerulean sky, its space filled with cotton stuffed clouds that moved leisurely across the horizon. There were trees in the distance, its leaves were as still as a beetle’s wings on a summer morning, fluttering when the soft breeze brushes through them. His fingers were pushing up against his cheek when he laid his head against his knuckles. The scowl on his face couldn’t compare to the gentle atmosphere beyond those windows. 

It was then when he heard a soft melody through the crowded muffles of his teacher’s voice was when his head was finally out of the water. His red eyes were no longer clashing with the sky but instead, they were at the front of the class. First row, third seat, near the teacher’s desk, burning holes onto the back of your head. It was like he was under a spell the moment he heard you speak, his mind couldn’t comprehend the words that left you, but he knew you had his full attention. You were asking a question and that’s all he got from it. He could tell you were smiling even though your face was no where to be seen. You were speaking softly and light as if your voice was glass to be shattered in a single drop. You were shifting uncomfortably in your seat for whatever reason and the heel of your shoes were tapping against the tile floors like a woodpecker abusing a tree.
