I've wanted to redesign Leyc's armour for a little while and I finally did it

It's not too different, but feels more like him, he'd for sure paint his armour to look more intimidating

But also I doubt he'd really get rid of the blue his father may have painted on originally so the colour scheme stays

He also accented the claw marks he's gotten from some beasts in Kashyyyk, because this idiot is stupid enough to go and get them just because it would look cool painted in

Also updated his main weapon into a Relby v-10 :D

The text on his back is supposed to say "Kick me" in Mando'a, my bet is that either Tranyc or Korar wrote it there when he was taking a lunch break while painting

I've been quite busy but here's a small doodle of Omen and his girlfriend Tavari :D (would you look at that, me making a straight couple, unheard of)

She's supposed to be like a singer, for like clubs and cantina and A zabrak, I don't have much for her yet

I'm also consepting giving Omen a prosthetic arm, he's unlucky enough to loose it somehow

A radiant bride and scrunkly groom dynamic, but he makes her laugh and they love each other so that's what matters

Loved this part of the episode, love how the clones just roasted him

I tried to do a bit of a background study and also figure out Quasar's crews quarters layout

The anatomy or lighting isn't that great but this was just a quick doodle so I don't really mind

Anyway Quasar wanted to nap but wants to make sure Leyc doesn't burn down anything meanwhile so he's letting him paint on his back :)

Since today it has officially been a year since I've started to actively draw these idiots!! :D

I have @keep-the-socks-on-karta to blame for this

Quasar has actually existed for like two years at this point, but I had very little lore for him at the time Tranyc and Korar were hurled at me

Well i can't really complain, I love these idiots to death

Leyc doesn't appear in this because he actually didn't exist when I drew the original version (maybe 11 months ago?) of this since if you've been around that was my old banner

It's kind of funny thinking back on how he didn't even exist as an idea and yet Tranyc might as well have described him here

And that comes into play in lore later don't you worry ;)

I guess I'm trying to manifest a good ending for season 3 with these doodles, I just want them all back together :((

Just some random clone doodles and Leyc being his classic self and deciding that doing a back flip at nearly 50 years old off some platform couldn't possibly end badly

And would you look at that, I actually put the water squad in squba gear for once :D

We've joked with @keep-the-socks-on-karta that Korar has a habit of messing with Tranyc by simply saying "look at me" or "hey" and then ask "what's wrong" because that just breaks down his disaster gay of a husband

So Quasar has had to step in before they loose the team medic

I’ve decided to post all of the progress here as well, not just on instagram. Some people have asked to be tagged once I post some progress, but I can’t remember who they were. So if you wanna see future progress, let me know and I’ll tag you!

This one may not look too different from the previous one, but nothing really turned out the way I intended to.

The colors, the textures, the focus, the sounds, the camera, everything just seems so off, and oh boy the animation… this is the result of rushing and not knowing what I’m doing, just inserting keyframes, tweaking the graph editor and hoping for the best. So maybe signing up for this project wasn’t a great idea after all lol. Plus the datapad’s not even fully textured, you can literally see where I started adding details on the front, then for some reason I just left off lol

One thing I’ll definitely work on in the future is the menu itself, because if this project is for a graphic design thesis, then I might as well try to make the only thing that has something to do with it look more presentable. I’ll definitely be changing up the fonts, and I have some other ideas for the background as well.

But for now, I’ll move on to the remaining 5 character menu animations. Originally there were gonna be 5, not 7. At first I was randomly picking out the characters I wanted to make one for, then I realized, it’d probably be best, if each squad got one animation. The 501st gets Rex, the 212th gets Cody, the CG gets Fox, the 104th gets Wolffe, and the 241st gets Tukk. CF99 got Hunter but I really wanted to make one for Tech as well, since modeling and texturing him took the longest 💀

Once all of that’s done, I can finally move on to animating the trailer video. Which I’m terrified of, but oh well lol

I imagine Leyc's usually the one who comforts Quasar since he's more likely to get night terrors, but Quasar's just as much there for him when he gets them

I've been trying to consept Quasar an updated field outfit

I liked the thought of giving him silly ass pants, quite literally, but then like every person I sent the consepts said the triangle on his jacket looks like a boob window. And well. I lost that battle it seems

I also feel like he needs some sort of face protection, but his tendrils might already be a dead giveaway. But consealing your expressions could prove useful

So we gotta love character trauma

Leyc got tortured, Quasar experienced order 66, Tranyc almost died and lost a sibling figure and Korar snapped to almost no return

Yeah, I might need to stop hitting them with star destroyers

When your future boyfriend decides to shoot his shot at the end of your professional call and ask if he can jump on the ship

Instead of "You look lonely, I can fix that" Leyc probably said "Ey you lonely fucker, want me to join ya this time?" but does it really matter what he says, it's gay anyway

I'm working on a project and this drawing of young Leyc has me weak

For the sake of the meme we have a colour swapped Numa as a reference because I know I'd get attached to any character I'd make

Anyway, even if Quasar feels too old to have a child, he'd absolutely pic up stary kids if they need help. He's a dad by nature and I find the possible interaction of Korar and Tranyc realising Quasar has taken a kid in his care is very funny (because those two, could not be parents even if they tried, their Tooka cat Edee is proof of that)

Anyway let Quasar be a dad again

I've been trying to figure out what Quasar sounds like and Howl from Howl's moving castle is pretty damn close to what I've been imagining

And so fuck it, this is funny and Leyc's a pretty little boy in Sophie's dress

I've decided that I needed more clones >:DD

They're also apart of Dead Zone, so the underwater platoon that Quasar commands

Anch looks like he's done with everyone on the surface, and trust me that doesn't change. But he can be fun if no ones in danger

Wreck earned his nickname from being a nervous wreck, who would have guessed. I needed to get someone to replace Gear's place after he becomes lieutenant, and who's better than a overly cautious guy (who does get better with time) and is similar to him

Then we have the twins :D they're all brothers obviously, but these two were born at the exact same time. While Dush is more of a chaos bringer and Omen a more curious sort of fella together they become a bad omen (Dush is "bad" in Mando'a so the joke fits >:)) They're also the newest to the team, so they're often called shinies

Then all of the already created clones :D

I have a creeping feeling ill make a few more at some point

Aid might have a cute face but he can be a little dim in the head

Then there's also a consept doodle Quasar meeting Aid and Hazard after the war. I feel like they deserve at least some comfort, even if it is just once

Starship consepts!

So here's both Quasar's HWK-290LB (large body) starship and Korar's smaller RZ-1 A wing interceptor

Korar's fighter had a normal paint job but after Leyc got his hands on it, it got a little bit ✨spiced✨ (Korar did not agree to it)

Quasar also gets a heart attack every time he looks at that junk pile, it's living on hopes and prayers and the back of the cockpit is busted. If that welding comes loose, Korar would be toast. He probably stole it originally from some poor soul

Then Quasar's ship :D so the base model is an HWK-290, but it has quite a lot of size variation in canon. Some sources say it's 16m and some say it's 29m. Well I personally need it to be larger and I like this one fan idea that both of them exist and there's just two different standards

And the way to differ between them would be adding that "LB" code to the back of the name. It's also a little wider with than the smaller one

Quasar has moded that thing to hell and back. it's a lot more nimble and reactive than a normal fraiter would be, he's basically made it more similar to how jedi fighters controlled. Only Korar is also allowed to fly it, but only if Quasar is unable to, trust me, it ain't easy

He's painted it with a mirror silver to add more camouflage to it and also has a totally "legal" hyper drive mod installed

Then there's the inside, with the different rooms highlighted

The planet I used for colour reference to showcase the mirrored surface a little better in this pic is called Christoph

Yeah I don't know why I decided to draw Guru shirtless, probably because I wanted to figure out how scared he is. I'm not sure if he'd be "barely" scared like this, or scared to hell and back

He might have pretty privilege now, but he doesn't have "don't parallel park on me with a star destroyer" privilege

Then there's Leyc, the human garbage waste can. He'll eat anything he's allowed or can get his hands on. Leftovers? Never heard of it

And Quasar experiencing some road rage, I'm surprised I haven't drawn him piloting a ship so the controller could be seen before (the only other time I've drawn him piloting having been that bad batch scene I redrew with him)

I've been struggling with this because to me they all look off model but good enough I guess

This is an old doodle duo that I decided to finish since it was basically done and only needed to be coloured

There's Korar and Tranyc being an old married couple with trauma and are just arguing (trust me, Quasar will jump in the middle to break it up in just a second)
