Is this anything
I wrote a Thilbo fic if you want to check it out!
You know that scene between Kili and Tauriel where he’s in so much pain he’s delirious and thinks he’s imagining that she’s there with him in Lake-town?
This is that but it’s Bilbo and Thorin on Ravenhill
Okay so a lot of people write Arthur as being emotional constipated in a way that strongly implies that his emotional intelligence is close to a box of wet and soggy bread’s ability to read and understand feelings. And that’s valid! With mister troll shagger as a father, I get that it would be a likely outcome of his childhood. BUT what I love much more (and I’m not projecting at all, shush!) is Arthur knowing damn well what he feels but never truly feeling safe in any of his core emotions, because he has had to suppress them since he was a child. That he feels guilty and uncomfortable when he enjoys something. That he hides what he likes in fear of somebody using it to hurt him, and that he hides what he dislikes in fear of somebody using it to hurt him.
Tim: Here. *hands Jason a timetable*
Jason: What is this?
Tim: It’s your big brother shifts.
Jason: My what?
Tim: Big brother shifts. Dick has been doing it solo for too long. Now it’s time for you to take up some responsibility.
Jason: Wha-
Tim: When it’s your shift, I’ll personally make sure everyone calls you instead of Dick.
Jason: Fuck you, why are you not on the table?
Tim: I’m 17, Jason. I’m baby.
Jason: Stop telling people you’re 17 when you’re clearly 21.
The best fics are the ones that recognize that although Luke Skywalker may APPEAR on the outside to be a normal friendly twink who happens to have cool powers, especially when contrasted with such ship partners as Boba or Din or even Han, he is arguably the scariest person alive in the galaxy around the prequel era. AND, crucially, he is also a fundamentally weird guy. This man was homeschooled on a rural farm his entire life and then apprenticed to a swamp gremlin who showed him how to tap into the cosmic power of the universe. He blew up the death star age 19, killing approx 2 million-ish Imperials. He is a vortex of Force power that can communicate with the ghosts of dead Jedi. He’s staring into the distance and mumbling to himself and doing Yoda aphorisms and casually pulling out the “yeah I could crush that guy into a paste with my mind (:” and nobody around him knows what to do with that. I think he is a character who has very little frame of reference for how a Jedi or a person in general is supposed to act and there is some thing about him that is by necessity really fucking weird and a little scary but he’s so nice that it can throw you off the scent a little bit. Thanks for coming to my TED talk
I just discovered your Merlin fanart and I would like to say I love the way you perfectly capture the expressions and uniqueness of each character! Have you ever drawn Gwaine or any of the other knights other than Arthur? (I love the way you draw Arthur btw cause Bradley has such an expressive face and you capture it perfectly)
Thank you!! Here is some Gwaines ;)))
If I had a nickel for every time I got obsessed over a morally dubious blue-eyed man wrapped in bandages I'd have two nickels, which isn't much but it's weird that it happened twice
bro can't comprehend
