I'm probably going to piss someone off with this but
As great as the independent boss bitch trope in female oriented isekai stories are, I want a female lead that is a line away from crumpling over and sobbing violently. I want a female isekai protagonist who fought tooth and nail for the life she had back home and sure as hell won’t leave it behind. I want her to reject the identity of the person who originally had the body she now possess only using said identity as a mask of convenience to avoid questions from the other characters. I want her to be high strung and desperately trying to find a way back to her home and loved ones. I want a female lead who fucks up and feels guilty about it, because no matter how sad and unfair her backstory is, its her responsibility now not to spread the pain. I want a female lead who will go through hell and highwater for the people she loves. A female lead who knows what she's doing probably will get her killed but does it anyway because like hell she’s just going to sit idly by. I want a female lead to have a pained exasperated laugh instead of a cute one because of all the shit she’s been through. And I want the other characters to notice. I want the other characters to at first brush off the female lead's new odd tendencies until she does something so out of character to the person she used to be that they can’t keep ignoring it. After that the other characters begin to notice just how different she is, old mannerisms and habits have suddenly disappeared and were replaced with new ones. I want them to notice how she mumbles about the “New face” as she passes by mirrors. I want them to notice the way she acts to feel almost scripted like she is pretending to be someone else. And I want the male lead to end up her friend and stay just friends because I want more male and female friendships that don’t end up in a romantic relationship. I want all the other characters to have their own agencies and ambitions completely unrelated to the female lead. I want to see the people who care about the female lead back in the female lead's home world do everything in their power to find her and get her back! I want the female lead to do reckless things like try to brush off a small stab wound or jump head first into a creepy magical cave because she has barely any self preservation and would rather die than not go home. I want a female lead who has to actively work for things in the plot and not have it deus ex machinaed into her lap. I want a female lead in an isekai story to be a hot mess who wants to go home back to her lover who is equally as much of a chaotic hot mess as her, both of them fighting for each other in their own ways.
Anyway thanks for reading my rant that will probably piss off a bunch of booktok girls but as a fellow girl who likes to read I want this in my stories, my opinion is completely subjective and biased you are free to disagree with it but this is what I want.
I just need to know. what would happen if the ozone layer was twice as dense?
