A 10-millionth visitor to the  Rijksmuseum of Netherlands was allowed to spend the night at Rembrandt's painting "Night Watch" with a bottle of wine and dinner.

First off, Malleus is in love with you. It’s a lot like the stories where the dragon falls in love with the beautiful princess. You are the first person who isn’t scared of him, and probably one of the first women (besides his grandmother) that he’s talked to. Of course he’s in love with you.

You both are polar opposites. Malleus is intimidating and his retainers don’t help, but you are the person everyone knows and loves. You are the type who would give someone your lunch because they tripped and fell and spilled their food everywhere.

You are a friend to everyone you come across, and Malleus’ intimidating aura was not enough to make you scared. Hell, you fought demons for a living, nothing scares you anymore. 

In the eyes of everyone, you are beautiful. You are truly like a Disney princess. So imagine everyone’s surprise when you walk up to him with a smile full of joy and ask him about his day and pick him up and spin him around because of how strong you are.

Malleus is also surprised. No one has ever been able to pick him up before, but he’s not against it. You both are nearly equal in strength, and he is glad that there is no power difference between you.

You are glad that he meets your ‘perfect husband’ criteria. He is one of the top 5 most powerful mages, and in your book that exceeds your requirements. Plus, he treats you well. Malleus treats you like his queen, you have him wrapped around your fingers.

Lilia loves you both together. Malleus will go on and on about you, and Lilia is there to lend an ear. He gladly listens to his ‘son’ and his lovesick rants. Sebek can’t say he dislikes you: you are kind to him as well. Silver also enjoys being able to nap on your lap. 

However, your dragon prince gets jealous whenever your attention is off of him. Or when you spend time with someone else. Your attention should only be reserved for him, dang it! >:(

As for your abilities as a Hashira, Malleus is impressed. You aren’t a damsel in distress: you are the one rescuing the damsel. You are a very talented swordswoman and you have superhuman ‘powers’. He will gladly let you train at the dorm, and will even spar against you.

"Okay~ Everyone's in!" Asmo positioned his phone and set the timer for the photo.

"Oi, middle fingers up!" Mammon elbowed Belphie.

"They're up!" He groggily responded as Asmo rushed to lay in front of the group and add his own middle fingers to the mix.

"Say, Fuck you, Michael." Lucifer said as the timer clicked.

"Fuck you, Michael!" The group resounded. After the click, Asmo rushed back over to the phone to catch the polaroid it spit out.

"MC, did you write the letter yet?" Beel hovered near you.

"Not yet. Any ideas?" You moved to a nearby table and the brothers all crowded around you.

"Tell him to fuck himself." Belphie mumbled.

"He's a rat bastard and we hate 'im!" Mammon chimed in.

"Oh, let's send him a copy of: I Never Wanted To Go To Heaven Anyway So God Really Just Needs To Fuck Off." Levi pulled the manga out of nowhere.

"Don’t forget to decline the offer.” Satan tapped at the page. 

“Calm down, I’ll get there...” You began to write on the page.

A gilded and blessed letter arrived at the House of Lamentation addressed to you. After school, you were just hanging out with the brothers in the living room as usual. You unsealed it to find a message from the Celestial Realm.

Dearest MC,

I’m writing to invite you to a year of student exchange in the Celestial Realm. It will begin with a purification ceremony since you will be coming directly from the Devildom. Simeon and Luke will be your escorts, and we have designated several caretakers to help you over the course of the year.

I hope you consider our offer seriously. You will be the first human to set foot in our land in a long-term capacity.

“The fuck…?” you mumbled, the brothers all turning to you with curiosity. 

“What’s that?” Mammon grabbed the letter from you, immediately recognizing the fancy calligraphy. “Michael?!”

“What does he want with you?” Lucifer hissed. 

“They offered me an exchange program.” You stated as the brothers all hovered around you.

“Well, you’re not gonna do it, right?” Belphie mumbled.

“What’s a purification ceremony?” You asked without answering the question. Half of the brothers’ faces went white like they’d seen a ghost.

“It’s a ceremony where they… absolve you of sins. That means our pacts would break and you wouldn’t be able to come back here.” Satan responded. 

“Oh.” You took the letter back from Mammon and glanced at it briefly. “Fuck that.” You nonchalantly ripped up the letter, tossing it aside.

Lucifer felt a wave of relief wash over him. In fact, your reaction was exactly what he would have hoped. He couldn’t help thinking this was an incredible opportunity you were passing up but his pride swelled with the knowledge that you chose him and his brothers over that. He would find a way to make your stay worthwhile.

Mammon nearly cried at the idea of you leaving him forever, so he immediately put an arm around your shoulders. “That’s right, MC, stick it to ‘em!” His heart swelled with joy when you ripped up the letter, although he probably could have fetched quite the price for something handwritten by Michael down here. He's probably going to try to salvage it and sell it later.

Levi did cry- when Satan said the pacts would be broken, he immediately assumed the worst and began having a depressive episode in the corner of the room. “I’m j-just a yucky otaku… MC won’t stay for me…” he said as his lip quivered. 

“Levi, I’m staying, don’t worry.” You whispered, patting him on the back.

“Oh, you mean this is just like the plot twist in God Asked Me To Come Over But I Said No And Now I Have To Explain To My Mother I Have Seven Demon Boyfriends??” Levi began babbling on about the anime.

Satan thought going to the Celestial Realm would have been a great opportunity had it not included never seeing him again. He was sure Michael just wanted to knock your power down a peg but there was a moment where he wasn’t sure if you saw through it like him. He was prepared to talk you out of it, of course, but he was very comforted to know that he and his brothers were important enough to you to decline the offer. 

“Oh my GOSH, MC, don’t scare me like that!” Asmo draped himself over you. “It’s bad for my complexion to get worried, you know!” He nuzzled into you, feeling a need to be as close with you as possible even though you’d be around for a long time. His heart broke when you didn’t answer right away but when you ripped up that letter you were almost ten times more attractive than before.

Beel smiled. He was a little nervous you might go to the Celestial Realm, they have a lot of great food up there and if you were living with Simeon and Luke you would get to eat their cooking all the time. He wouldn’t blame you if you went, although, it would have made him very sad to never see you again. But he felt so warm and happy that you wanted to stay with him and his brothers- you’re family too, after all.

Belphie was ready to tear up that letter himself if you had considered the option for any longer. As the youngest, he almost always gets what he wants and he was not going to allow you to leave him like that. Not for the Celestial Realm. He will probably say something sweet to you later when no one else is around but for now, he’s going to take a nap. That drained a lot of his energy.

She is rather insecure about her hair, and Macaque tries to make her feel better.

He mostly just hides his white hair to because it's better for fighting, since his main power's source are shadows and black hair make it easier to blend in with them. The real deal is the scar for obvious reasons.

She uses black hair dye because try to imagine being possessed by an evil demon who's trying to destroy the entire world, making you lose months of your life, so that your face is forever the same as said demon AS A KID. And also now you have a different hair color because of it.

since you write for demon slayer i was wondering if you could write about the reader being tengen’s tsuguko and their mentor/mentee relationship (personally i think he’d be tough on them but care deep down. maybe touching on the entertainment district arc? thank you <3

tropes, pairings, fic length, & other notes. found family-ish, fluff, slight angst towards the end. tengen uzui (& his wives) x reader. 0.7k words. they/them pronouns for reader.

author's thoughts. i took this request and RAN with it, i love mentor/mentee requests for any fandom but especially for demon slayer.... the age was unspecified in this req, so i personally imaged tsuguko!reader being around tanjiro's age, however i left it pretty ambiguous so anyone can imagine it however they want. i also decided not to touch too deeply on the entertainment district arc, since this is only a headcanon post, but i'm totally cool with writing an actual fic about it! just shoot me another request if that's something you'd like to see <3

tengen is definitely a very tough mentor, and he doesn't get the opportunity to train many tsugukos because of this. he's hard on his students. he's a demanding mentor, though at the very least, he lays out his expectations clearly. he knows exactly what he wants he students to know.

the lower ranked demon slayers have favored hashira, ones they would prefer to train under if they were ever given the chance to. tengen is not really one of those favored potential mentors. preferred mentors would be people like kyojuro or mitsuri. that isn't to say any other hashira would be any less tough on their tsugukos than tengen is, but the sound hashira supposes those two come off as kinder than he does.

of course, it should be made very clear that he's hard on his students not because he gets some kind of sadistic pleasure out of watching them struggle, but because he wants them to survive.

his training is just downright difficult. it's all in the spirit of survival, though.

a tsuguko of his would have a lot of things expected of them.

his student is expected to build poison resistance by microdosing themselves day after day.

his student is expected to have a certain amount of stamina.

they're expected to be stealthy.

they're expected to be able to make split-second decisions.

simply put, it's... a lot.

generally, anyone who trains under him quits shortly after beginning, so they don't really get to know him. they don't get to understand why he does what he does. they miss the opportunity to really understand him. the one exception would be his current tsuguko, [name].

he cares very deeply for the one tsuguko that did stick around!

tbh, he's pretty open about that fact, especially when he's alone with them and his wives! he's not secretive about caring for them.

he expects them to prioritize their own life. it is something that other demon slayers might not agree with, something that others find "selfish" and "cruel."

tengen does not see it that way.

he's seen that self-sacrificial, "give everything up for the mission" ideology tear people apart. he's seen it tear his blood family apart. he'd be damned if he let it tear his chosen family apart.

"because you are very dear to me," he'd say, placing a firm hand on their head and ruffling their hair fondly, "i expect you to value your life above all others. the mission is not worth your life. you protect yourself, you protect others, and you get the hell out of there if you can't handle it. you come back to me, to us. you got that?"

i personally think he'd treat his tsuguko like his kid if they're sixteen or under. yeah, he's only in his early 20s. so what? that's his kid. if they're above that age, he treats them like a precious younger sibling. if they happen to be older than him? he does not care. that's still his younger sibling.

regardless of their age, his tsuguko is a part of his little family.

no demon will ever lay their hands on his family and get away with it. he will not allow it.

if they get injured on a mission and they're recovering at the butterfly estate, my man is at their bedside in an instant. he probably yells at them because how dare they worry him?? where did they get the audacity??? tengen eventually gets over it and admits that he's glad they're alright. his wives also come to visit them when they have the time!!

now, as for the entertainment district...

i think that mission would be very mentally taxing (and of course physically taxing, but let's focus more on the stress and panic for now).

seeing tengen lose his arm like that, thinking he was dead... god, it would terrify them. they have grown to see him as strong and infallible, so to see him so weak and broken would be genuinely horrifying.

they'd cry tbh

good luck to gyutaro, though. bro is at the mercy of their rage. having learned from tengen, i wholeheartedly believe that his tsuguko would be able to hold their own against the demon for at least a little bit. long enough for tengen to recover, long enough for everything to go according to plan.

but, of course... tengen does retire in the end.

the whole point of having a tsuguko is to have someone reliable to succeed their respective mentor, right?

tengen loves his tsuguko.

he knows they're capable enough.

Yuga Aoyama:

Is a bit surprised. I mean, you have a pet chicken. It isn’t really a normal household pet.

But he sees that you really love Mr. Click. So In turn, he’ll love him too.

Mr. Click likes him a lot. Aoyama sparkles a ton, and Mr. Click likes shiny things.

Aoyama and Mr. Click get along really well! Sometimes you leave Mr. Click in his care and he has fun.

Mina Ashido:

When you told her you had a pet chicken she wanted to see them ASAP.

She was super exited to meet Mr. Click and practically swooned once she has met him.

Now you both are chicken parents and she loves every bit of it.

Likes to takes selfie’s with Mr. Click and show the backusquad. And now everyone (yes even Bakugo) wants to meet Mr. Click.

Tsuyu Asui:

Thinks it’s the cutest thing ever. And now she often visits you just to see Mr. Click.

Likes to pet his feathers and takes a ton of pictures to show her siblings.

Her siblings wanted to see Mr. Click so one time you brought him over to her house.

Now her siblings want updates on Mr. Click when Asui comes home from dates with you.

Tenya iida:

A bit surprised that you have a chicken as a pet but doesn’t mind it.

Makes sure you are treating him well, he trusts you, but now he feels like Mr. Click is also his pet too.

Likes to help you clean out his chicken coop from time to time and it’s a bonding moment between you both.

Mr. Click often likes to chase him however, so sometimes he has to run away or Mr. Click will peck his shoes into ruin.

Ochaco Uraraka:

Another one who wants to see Mr. Click ASAP. Like, a chicken as a pet? So cool!

Mr. Click likes her round cheeks, and often sometimes gently pecks at them.

One time she made Mr. Click float by accident and got super terrified.

But it seemed Mr. Click enjoyed himself, acting like he was trying to fly.

Mashirao Ojiro:

He met Mr. Click when he was over for a date. He saw a small dog bed and assumed you had a tiny cat or dog.

Was not expected a chicken to strut his way into the living room and plop right into the bed.

He asked you about it and you told him Mr. Click was your pet chicken. He thought you were joking at first.

But no, you were serious. He didn’t mind. He just wished Mr. Click wouldn’t peck at his tail every time he comes over.

Denki Kaminari:

He made a joke about fried chicken when he first met Mr. Click and quickly noted that you didn’t like those jokes.

Mr. Click was like your son to you, and therefore, you would not like those kind of jokes.

But Denki actually got along really good with Mr. Click. He really liked Denki’s bright yellow hair.

That and Mr. Click really enjoyed laying on top of Denki when he would pass out on your couch from time to time.

Eijiro Kirishima:

Thinks it’s super cool to have a pet chicken! The moment you tell him he’s already exited to visit your house.

Once he finally meets Mr. Click he is picking him up and holding him like a hamburger. Laughing at his cute little legs.

Totally likes it when Mr. Click follows you around, and Kirishima normally follows him so now you have Mr. Click and your boyfriend following you like lost chicks.

When you groom his feathers Kirishima always wants to help, just so he can get closer to Mr. Click.

Koji Koda:

When he finds out you have a pet chicken, he really wants to meet Mr. Click. Telling you he would love to talk to him.

He’s fallen even more in love with you once he gets to talk to Mr. Click. He can tell that you take really good care of him.

Times over at your house are often spent watching shows or movies when Mr. Click between you both.

You fully trust Koda to watch Mr. Click. So when you go on visits, you leave Mr. Click in his care.

Rikido Sato:

Honestly? Adorable. Loves it. He first found out about Mr. Click when he went over to your house for the first time.

Mr. Click was just chilling near the front window sun bathing and Sato asked about him. And that’s when you told him about your chicken.

He often comes over and Mr. Click likes to flap his wings at him in means to protect you since he is really tall.

But Mr. Click has gotten used to him. And now Sato sometimes comes over with special made treats just for him.

Mezo Shoji:

Was a bit surprised by your pet choice. But he doesn’t really judge, he clearly sees how much you care for Mr. Click.

He often holds him in his arms and Mr. Click seems to enjoy falling asleep in his embrace.

But Mr. Click is sometimes an asshole and he likes to peck at Shoji’s mask and tug at it with his beak.

Mr. Click has learned the hard way by punishment in means of no extra snacks for two days.

Kyoka Jiro:

Odd choice of pet. But she isn’t the one to judge either. Actually likes Mr. Click because he isn’t cuddly like most cats or dogs.

Sometimes Jiro heads to your place to practice some guitar since you enjoy listening to her music and Mr. Click likes the sounds.

Mr. Click often screams to try and sing with Jiro from time to time and as much as you think it’s cute. It’s rather annoying.

But often times you two listen to music together while Mr. Click tests between you two, getting light pats from time to time.

Hanta Sero:

Thought you were joking with him at first, didn’t actually believe you had a pet chicken. But got a nice surprise when Mr. Click greeted him at the door.

“Oh. So you weren’t joking.” Sero watched as Mr. Click trots back over to you, who was in the kitchen making some snacks for you both.

Actually got along really well with Mr. Click. And took a ton of pictures of him posing next to him.

Now every time he comes over he likes to pick up Mr. Click and just carry him around. And Mr. Click doesn’t mind this at all.

Fumikage Tokoyami:

Bold of you to assume he wouldn’t make amazing friends with Mr. Click the moment he sees him.

They are great buddies. Mostly because Mr. Click loves to follow him like a chick to his mother.

Dark shadow also loves to just- gently hold the chicken like hamburger.

So all in all. Tokoyami and Mr. Click get along really well. Although, sometimes you think Mr. Click is starting to favor Tokoyami more.

Shoto Todoroki:

Honestly? This Boy is confused. You have a pet chicken. That isn’t a normal house pet so it’s weird the first few times he comes over.

But then he gets used to Mr. Click. And he doesn’t mind him at all. He likes watching Mr. Click just do his thing.

If Mr. Click ever needs anything new, from feed to a new pen. He will pay for anything he needs.

One time Shoto fell asleep on your couch and Mr. Click almost suffocated him with his feathers. Now Shoto silently thinks Mr. Click is trying to end him.

Toru Hagakure:

You showed her pictures of Mr. Click and she was super exited to meet him. Once she finally met him she took a ton of pictures of him.

She likes to buy those little arm things for chickens and she put it on him and she thought it was the greatest thing.

She also loves to pick up Mr. Click or just watch him do his thing. Likes to watch him bawk at her too.

She also considered herself a chicken mom too and now she calls him her son.

Katsuki Bakugo:

Thought it was the weirdest shit ever. Why would you have a pet chicken over a dog? Is just really confused by the pet choice.

But he isn’t going to judge his s/o over that. He just rolls with it. And actually likes Mr. Clicks aggressive attitude. Sometimes.

Other times when Mr. Click is overprotective of you he likes to peck at Bakugo’s feet when he visits and He hates it.

But when they do get along, Mr. Click is normally found sitting on his shoulder as Bakugo helps you cook.

Izuku Midoriya:

The second he finds out about Mr. Click he’s dedicating at least three pages in his notebook for him and him alone.

Sometimes when he comes over for dates, he likes to just watch and observe Mr. Click doing random things.

If you ask him about it he’ll go on a rant about Mr. Click’s behavior and what not. Honestly it’s really cute.

Mr. Click likes to show affection by giving tiny things like buttons. So once Midoriya was given a tiny blue button he cherished it and taped it to his notebook.

Minoru Mineta:

(This Boy needs some love too). Mineta was just weirded out by Mr. Click. He didn’t really care, he just didn’t like the way Mr. Click stared at him.

Likes to play with Mr. Click sometimes by showing him shiny objects. But if the teasing gets too far you scold him.

Sometimes just for jokes Mineta likes to take a ball off his head and give it to Mr. Click. Who then proceeds to bring it to you.

Sometimes you made jokes about Mineta’s height with Mr. Click and he finds it amusing sometimes and indulges your joking a little.

Momo Yaoyorozu:

Another person who is a bit caught off guard at the pet choice. But she doesn’t judge you in the slightest, she knows you love Mr. Click.

When she comes over, she likes to bring Mr. Click tiny objects that she think he would enjoy like little gems or just plain buttons.

Mr. Click has a dedicated pile of all the things he collects and receives, so when Momo gives him something he runs off to add it to his collection.

When you have Tea time with Momo. Mr. Click often wants to join. So Momo fills his tea cup with water and lets him enjoy being with you both.

The last holiday together.
