Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 77

Deity gave Vinny a soft smile as she walked in, “Willow spoke to you?” She asked softly, receiving a nod.

“You didn’t tell me that snake did the same to her” The cameraman spoke, he seemed curious as to why, Deity sighed and sat down grabbing a bunch of scrolls.

“It wasn’t my place to tell you…I didn’t even know she knew Rushifa did that…but she must’ve realised by your reaction” Deity answered as she began reading through the scrolls.

“That…makes sense…it makes me feel a little better” Vinny sighed out as he stroked a hand through his hair, Deity nodded as she used some magic to open various scrolls around her.

“Feel free to ask me questions dear…I’m just trying to find out something” She spoke, attempting to reassure Vinny, he nodded in response as he tried to think of some questions. The room was quiet other than the soft breathing and occasional sound of the scrolls being flicked.

“Hey…uhh the mark on your cheek? Willow and Shancai are their own counterparts they finish it…did you have a sibling?” Vinny hesitantly spoke up, causing Deity to pause before letting out a shaky sigh.

“Yes…” she answered softly, “A twin brother…”

“Were you two…close?” Vinny questioned, clearly reluctant noticing her reaction.

“No…not at all, not like my children…we tolerated each other…till we didn’t…” Deity replied her voice dropping into a sadder tone.

“What…happened to him?” The cameraman shakily asked.

“He went…down a path…a bad path and we grew apart…” Deity confessed, it was clearly a touchy subject.

“Did he…do anything?” Vinny asked.

“He…did some stuff, some bad and some…rarely good…” Deity replied quietly as she looked at the ground, and stared at her hands.

“Do…Shancai and Willow know about him?” He asked.

“Not much…they’ve never been introduced…” she sighed, Vinny stayed quiet, silence filling the room. The tension was thick enough to cut with a knife.

“Can you…tell me a little about the kingdom? It’s a nice place, I just don’t know much about it” The cameraman eventually spoke up, breaking the deafening silence.

“Of course dear, it’s quite a funny story actually…” Deity chuckled softly, her voice slightly pained.

“If there’s anything you don’t want to say, you don’t have to” Vinny spoke reassuringly as he smiled at her.

“Nonsense dear! Everything in this story is crucial” she chuckled before grabbing a blank piece of parchment and setting it down on the table, before the beanbag Vinny was sitting on was magically pulled towards the table, in front of Deity.

“Uhh…what’s this for?” The cameraman asked curiously as he stared at the blank parchment then Deity.

“Dear I know magic” She chuckled as she playfully rolled her eyes, “I’m not giving you a boring story” she added as she ruffled his hair.

“R-right” Vinny chuckled sheepishly as he flushed from embarrassment slightly, his eyes widened in surprise as he saw a really light pink mist form on the parchment paper, it began forming objects? And then human figures? It was really cool, watching was Deity moved her hands ever so slightly and more things would change.

“This story starts long ago…” she began as the pink mist began to change into a forest, “The kingdom wasn’t too keen on beings who wielded such powers, whether it be elementals or in my case magic” she began, as Vinny nodded watching the mist change.

“You weren’t…from the royal bloodline?” Vinny asked.

“No my dear…I was far from it” Deity chuckled.

“So your husband was?” He asked, receiving a soft nod, “If…the kingdom was against magic…how’d you two-?” Vinny cut himself as he made a gesture.

“You’ll see dear” She chuckled, “My husband’s father being king as well as a soldier made lies of those different…we were seen as beast not humans” she sighed out as the pink mist formed into a group of people out casting others.

“T-that’s-“ Vinny cut himself out, not wanting to finish his sentence.

“Me and my husband met in an interesting way” She spoke, as the mist formed into a building for what seemed like a bar, “I was trying to blend in with the crowd at a bar” She chuckled softly.

“Were you drunk?” Vinny hesitantly asked.

“A little..but he on the other hand was out of it” She laughed out, “He was an amazing singer…he was sang and after he finished he found me…he didn’t seem to recognise me as what was known as a beast…might have been the alcohol” Deity smiled to herself.

“That’s…really nice” Vinny smiled at her, as he saw the mist form into two figures, sitting at a counter talking.

“It was…we had a few drinks together…and you can guess what happened from there” She chuckled, receiving a soft nod and chuckled from Vinny. “That’s how we had our kids…” she added quietly.

“Oh s-shit wow…” The cameraman spoke out, without thinking, “Did he know?”

“No…” Deity confessed, “I left immediately…I hadn’t realised who he was the night before, but when I did…if I were seen with the prince…” Her voice trailed off as it grew sadder.

“When did he find out?” Vinny asked, he was quite curious about this.

“A few months after they were born…” She admitted, “I…his father- sent him to kill Shancai…he was seen as a threat, but no one knew the other side of their heritage…”

“What about Willow?” The cameraman asked.

“They didn’t know it was twins…my husband, he couldn’t kill Shancai…he just felt…so familiar with him” Deity sighed out.

“He just left Shancai there?” Vinny asked, as he receiving a nod.

“He…found me…asked me if the kids were min-ours…he hadn’t know who he slept with that one drunken night, but now he did” She sighed as she wiped her damp eyes, Vinnys’ eyes widened…Deitys’ tears…they glowed?

“How’d he…react?” The cameraman asked shakily.

“Amazing…” she smiled, “I’d never seen someone so happy…his father wasn’t as thrilled and well…tried killing me, but my husband got to it first” she chuckled.

“Wow…” Vinny spoke, “That’s a lot you went through…” he added, his voice tainted with sympathy,

“It was…but it was worth it” she chuckled, as the mist continued to follow the story.

“All started from a drunken night?” Vinny chuckled, as he tried to lighten the mood.

“Yea” she smiled, “You were right…getting all things off my chest is amazing” she added.

“Right?” Vinny laughed out, as he stretched.

“Any questions?” She smiled, the cameraman shook his head, and watched as Deity grabbed the scrolls again.

“What’s this thing you’re trying to find?” Vinny asked.

“If there’s a way to break a enchanted lock…the lock on the kingdom’s energy needed the hair and blood of me, my husband and our kids…but I haven’t seen my husband in years so getting those from him would be interesting” she admitted.

“That’s weird” Vinny spoke as he looked over at the scrolls, Deity nodded as she continued to go through scrolls.

(LORE DROPPPPPP also do you think I’m prioritising the ocs too much? I don’t want them to overshine Vinny, but it also need to add their own lore to give them personality, I’ll take any criticism I can get, I wanna be better for you all)

Vinny began to stir awake as sunlight hit his face, his surrroundings felt unfamiliar as he felt two arms wrapped around him, his eyes fluttered open as he looked up, Deity, she was awake and seemingly working on something as she held a scroll.

His expression softened, she didn’t take him back to his room? The cameraman wasn’t complaining that sleep felt good. Deity’s eyes flickered open in realisation as she saw Vinny awake, her expression softening as a comforting smile formed on her face. “Good morning dear” she spoke softly.

“Morning” Vinny answered drowsily as he sat up, Deity removing her arms from him. He stretched and rubs his eyes grumbling as he felt an itch in his cast. The cameramans’ attention flickered to the cloak wrapped around him…damn it was soft.

“Did you sleep well?” Deity questioned, snapping Vinny out of his thoughts as she set the scroll to the side.

“Uhh, yea yea…did you?” Vinny asked, receiving a soft nod from her, there was an awkward silence for a minute, “You…you didn’t have to keep me here…you could’ve just taken me to my room…” Vinny spoke, bur breaking the silence.

“I could’ve…” Deity began, “But you seemed like you needed someone with you” she added, as she softly smiled as him.

“Thanks…it was nice” Vinny spoke to her, he was really grateful, he felt better considering yesterdays events.

“No problem dear…are you hungry?” Deity questioned, Vinnys’ stomach churned and his shoulders tensed, he really didn’t want to eat.

“Maybe later…” Vinny replied as his shoulders relaxed and he fixed his clothes.

“Ah right…” Deity sighed as she understood Vinnys’ reaction, “Are you planning on doing anything today?” She asked as she stood up and went over to a desk.

“Not really…I don’t want to do anything, and I kinda snapped at the others yesterday…” Vinny replied as he laid on the ground.

“If they knew what happened they can’t be mad” she spoke as she attempted to comfort him.

“What about you? You doing anything?” Vinny questioned as he stroked a hand through his hair.

“I still need to work out Rida’s plan and check some things” Deity answered as she looked at Vinny.

“You wouldn’t mind if I stayed with you today?” The cameraman asked.

“Not at all dear” She answered with a soft smile on her face. “You can ask me anything on your mind”

“Thanks…” Vinny sighed out as he stood up and took off the cloak, folded it and handed it to her.

“Was it comfy?” She questioned as she took the cloak, setting it to the side.

“Yea” Vinny answered as the thought of the soft cloak practically melted his mind, “So comfy…” he sighed out.

Deity chuckled softly as she settled down on a beanbag, signalling for Vinny to sit down, which he did.

“Quick question, why do you sit on the ground if there’s beanbags?” Vinny asked, as he tried to adjust as he sunk into the beanbag.

“I just prefer it…and it’s quite soft the ground” Deity answered.

“It is” Vinny chuckle, Deity was about to say something, but was caught off guard by soft knocking at the door.

“Come in” Deity called out, her voice still soft and soothing, the door opened and Shancai and Willow walked in, Vinny tensed ever so slightly. “Something wrong dears?” She asked, as she watched Willow wave while Shancai bowed, they seemed a little surprised to see Vinny.

“Nope” Willow spoke, “We just went to check on Vinny, but he wasn’t in his room, so we wanted to see if you knew where he was” she added as she gave Vinny a soft smile, this deepened Vinnys’ guilt as he sunk further into the beanbag.

“He’s been here since yesterday” Deity spoke comfortingly.

“Shanni also wants to talk to you” Willow spoke, Shancai looked confused as he looked at Willow then his mother, who looked curious.

“Uh right, a private matter” Shancai spoke up, Deity smiled and nodded and followed Shancai out of the room to have a quick talk.

“You okay?” Willow immediately asked Vinny as her mother and brother left the room.

“Y-yea…” The cameraman answered quietly, as he watched Willow come next to him and sit down on a large flower she just made.

“Yesterday was a bit eventful for you…” Willow spoke softly as she looked at Vinny, “Nya…told us what happened between you and Garmadon…” she confessed.

“S-she did?” The cameraman asked as he looked away.

“Yea…we had to convince her…” Willow replied, “The forest…don’t beat yourself up about it…Rushifa…she can control animals and people with her voice…” she sighed out.

“I’m still an idiot…” he grumbled, he didn’t want to think about that snake…he felt sick in his stomach again.

“Hey…” Willow spoke as she grabbed Vinnys’ hand, “I-I know…it tastes terrible…but trust me it’ll get better…” she whispered our, her voice breaking slightly, Vinnys’ eyes widened, did she know what he ate? Did she eat it before? That snake did mention a certain someone being forced to eat it…Willow and that snake did seem to hate each other.

“Did-did she ever make you-?” Vinny began to speak, but was cut off by a quick nod from Willow.

“I know you might not want to e-eat right now…but it’ll slowly kill you…she’ll win…” The nature elemental spoke out shakily.

“E-everything about her was disgusting…she just kept…touching me…” Vinny sighed out, as Wilows’ expression softened.

“That’s how she messes with you…she minds your weak points and destroys you from them…don’t give into the guilt and disgust you’re stronger than that I know you are…” Willow spoke comfortingly.

“I…I didn’t mean to yell yesterday…I was just-just scared…” Vinny confessed quietly.

“I know I know…her touch just lingers and so does that disgusting taste…” Willow spoke, her voice breaking once more.

“Does Shancai and Deity know…?” Vinny shakily asked.

“Yea…took me a while to tell them though…I locked myself away for weeks…but my mum coaxed me out…” she painfully chuckled out.

“That snake she mentioned feeding it to someone else…was that you? She said that someone didn’t get sick…” Vinny asked.

“Yea…the look of it, the smell…the-the taste…it’s something you’ll never forget, but all you can do is be better, don’t let the past swallow you up” Willow sighed before standing up and stretching.

“Are the…others alright?” Vinny asked.

“Yea…Garmadon was worried about you, you okay if i tell him you’re a little out of it?” She asked, receiving a soft nod from him. “I’ll see you later” Willow spoke as she went to the door.

“Y-yea…bye” he waved as he watched her leave, man he felt bad…Willow had to deal with the same thing…maybe he should open up completely to her…Vinny was snapped out of his thoughts as Deity walked back in.

(Bit late to upload a chapter, but why not…I also realised that two days ago was the one year anniversary for this fanfic I am so delayed! But yayyy we made it to one year!)

As Vinny continued to throw up, hunched over the toilet bowl, his body ached. He couldn’t get rid of the snakes’ touch on his body, it just lingered there and he hated it. His mind spun as he gagged once more, he knew he’d vomited everything up, but he couldn’t stop himself. The taste. The touch. He couldn’t get rid of it…

Vinny sat on the ground for a few more minutes, making sure he didn’t have to vomit once more, but after he was sure he stood up, his legs trembled beneath him as he leaned against the wall for support. The cameraman weakly walked over to the sink before grabbing a toothbrush, he hoped this would get rid of the coppery taste.

As he brushed his teeth, having the taste of minty toothpaste was somewhat relieving as it overpowered the coppery taste in his mouth for a short time. Vinny let out a shaky whimper as he finished brushing his teeth, the taste was still there, but mixed with the mint it was more bearable. His body however felt disgusting, he wanted to scrub off that snakes’ touch, so that’s what he was gonna do.

The cameraman turned on the shower, before stripping his clothes and getting in there. His life was miserable, he was miserable and someone enjoyed him being miserable. He let out a content sigh as the warm water flowed down his aching body.

It was perfect…it was so comforting…Vinny began to scrub his scalp with shampoo, the vanilla scent comforting him, as he tried his best to ignore Rushifas’ touch lingering on him.

As he finished washing the shampoo out of his hair, he quickly put conditioner in, it really softened his hair. Once he finished with that he began scrubbing the parts of his body that the snakes’ touch lingered.

Vinny started with his thigh, harshly scrubbing it till it was red, as much as he wished he could scrub his cheek red, someone would easily notice it and pressure him with questions, so he stuck to less exposed parts to scrub red. He grimaced as the sight of his raw skin, his thoughts flickering to the flesh he was fed, he held back a gag and hunched over instead.

He sighed to himself as he continued to think of his friends…he hoped they weren’t upset at him for snapping. Vinny quickly finished up the shower, wrapping a towel around his waist before going out of the bathroom into the bedroom. The cameraman grabbed a his pajamas he wasn’t gonna do anything else today, he wanted to cry and sleep.

As he finished getting dressed he went back into the bathroom and grabbed the dagger out of his old clothes pocket, before dropping onto the bed. “What does everyone want from me?” He groaned to himself as he thought about Enji, Rida and that snake. He didn’t want to call say her name, he hated her more than Enji at the moment and kinda missed Enji.

It was twisted, Vinny knew that, but Enji wouldn’t force him to eat that, that snake seemed used to eating human flesh, Enji was still a human however a very fucking annoying human, but Vinny knew Enji wouldn’t make him do that. His mind flicked to Rida…he knew the least about him, he was dark and mysterious.

Rids and that snake weren’t friends, but they asked for favours and that snake said that Rida told her not to hurt Vinny. Did Rida know he was here? Did Enji? Everything was confusing and it caused Vinny to let out an annoyed groan as he stuffed his face in the pillow and kicked his legs.

What was he meant to do? He couldn’t protect himself. Couldn’t tell the majority of his friends what was happening. And was being haunted by two people and one snake he didn’t even know existed until recently. “Is all this worth it? Maybe I’m the problem…” Vinny spoke to himself out loud as he rolled onto his back and stare at the ceiling.

“What if it all gets worse? What if-“ Vinny was cut off by soft knocking at the door, was it Willow? Maybe Shancai? Nya? He didn’t want to answer, he wanted to be left alone. The cameraman just sat there, hoping the person there would leave, but the knocking persisted, causing Vinny to let out a defeated sigh before getting up and grudgingly walking to the door and opening it.

“Please, I really wan-“ The cameraman cut himself off as he saw the person there, Deity. She seemed worried, Vinny instantly shut up, he didn’t want to worry her.

Vinny quickly noticed her outfit change, a whitish blue floor long see through mesh shawl that trailed behind her, the ends like clouds? Not fur, quite literally clouds. She was also wearing a dark blue and silver dress, he also noticed she was wearing small rhinestone head chain.

It didn’t look bad at all, and it didn’t seem too uncomfortable, it seemed soft and warm. The dress also seemed like a substitute night gown, something formal yet informal at the same time.

“S-sorry for bothering you dear” Deity spoke up, her voice hinted with guilt and worry, “Willow told me you might want some alone time, but I heard what happened and had to at least check on you” she added, as she looked away anxiously, Vinnys’ expression softened as guilt creeped up his back.

“N-no it’s fine! I’m fine! Honestly…I’m just a bit snappy” The cameraman answered quickly, as he tried to reassure her.

“I was just so caught off guard when I was told what happened…Are you sure you’re alright dear?” Deity questioned once more.

“Y-yea…I wasn’t gonna go in the forest, but I assume Willow told you why I went?” Vinny asked, receiving a soft nod from her.

“Did anything happen?” Deity asked him, before letting irl a soft sigh as she noticed Vinnys’ expression saddened as he looked at the ground, “You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to dear”

“I…sorry, I’m just…shaken from what happened” Vinny replied quietly, “B-but I really should talk about it to someone at least before it eats me up…” he added as he looked up at her, giving her a soft smile.

“Would you like to come with me dear? We can talk like last time” Deity offered, Vinny nodded. He did need to talk to someone about what happened. How would Deity react? Deity began walking expecting Vinny to follow which he did as he closed the bedroom door behind him.

The walk there was silent before Deity pushed open the door allowing Vinny in, before closing the door. They sat down on the ground like last time, it was still as comfortable, felt like a cloud. The cameraman sat next to her, it was easier to say stuff when he wasn’t directly in front of someone. “T-thank for this” Vinny spoke.

“No problem dear, you have a lot on your mind” Deity spoke before she took off her head chain and rested it on a circle like thing, “You can tell me whatever you’re comfortable with” she added as she looked at Vinny, her expression holding comfort and love.

“R-right…” the cameraman sighed before taking a deep breath, “When I went in that part of the forest I just heard some hissing…I thought it might be a Serpentine, but which one? I didn’t expect her to come out…” Vinny began explaining as Deity listened intently.

“She-she just appeared out of no where and wrapped me in her tail!” He added as the memory of the snake sprung back into his mind. Vinnys’ breath hitched as he continued to think about what happened.

“Take your time dear…I have no issue waiting” Deity spoke affectionately as she rested her hand on Vinnys’.

“She called me Ridas’ new plaything” Vinny sighed out, Deitys’ eyes widened, but Vinny didn’t notice, “Her and Rids are just on occasional favours basis, right?” He asked.

“Yea…” Deity replied, “They have a hate for the kingdom, which is why they both work somewhat together” she added as she let out a sigh.

“She wanted to know why Rida had his eyes set on me…I told her I didn’t know!” Vinny continued as he hugged his body, the snakes’ touch lingered the more he thought of it, “S-she came behind me and put her head on my shoulder then wrapped her hand around my neck…” Vinny confessed shakily as he voice quietened.

“O-oh dear…” Deity whispered in shock as she looked at Vinny worriedly.

“S-she put her h-hand on my thigh…” he whimpered out, “She asked m-me what Garmadon would think about him seeing me like this, did I mention that Garmadon wanted a break from our relationship?” Vinny asked as began to grow hysterical, Deity shook her head before pulling Vinny into a hug pressing the side of his head against her chest.

“You don’t have to keep going if you don’t want to dear…” Deity spoke softly as she kept Vinnys’ head there in order to comfort him.

“N-no it’s fine…I need to tell this to someone…” The cameraman shakily spoke, as he tried to hold back the tears that welled in his eyes.

“Very well…” Deity sighed.

“S-she grabbed m-meat off a human corpse and told me to e-eat it…” Vinny confessed as his voice broke, as he held onto Deity tightly.

“You didn’t-“ Deity began before cutting herself off as she saw Vinnys’ face, tears beginning to stream down his face. “Oh you poor angel…” she whispered softly as she stroked her hand through his hair.

“I-i hated it…I hate her…it was d-disgusting and I can’t g-get rid of the taste, i-it just lingers” he began to cry softly as he allowed himself to be comforted by Deity.

“As you should hate her…” Deity spoke softly as she took off her long shawl and wrapped it around Vinnys’ body.

“W-when I ate it…she just dropped m-me to the ground and when Willow and t-the others came she k-kissed my cheek and just left to c-catch them off guard…” Vinny confessed once more as he trembled in her arms.

“And you haven’t told them…?” Deity questioned hesitantly.

“H-how can I? T-they’d probably think I’m fucking p-pathetic that I can’t protect myself” he cried in response.

“Your friends love you Vinny…they’d understand…but I also understand why you don’t tell them and I would so the same…” she whispered comfortingly as she continued to baby him.

“I’m so fucking done with this…” he sobbed weakly, “I want it all to stop, I wanna fucking die…” he whimpered our weakly.

“I know dear, I know…and I don’t blame you, but think about who you’ll leave behind” Deity says to him in an attempt to affirm him, as he just laid there in her arms.

“I-I can’t do this anymore…” he whimpered quietly, Deity drew comforting circles on his back and continued to stroke his hair.

“I know…just let it out…” She spoke softly, Vinny continued to cry. He couldn’t control himself, Deity was so motherly and comforting. Before Vinny knew it he was knocked out, fast asleep, due to how exhausted he was. Deity let out a soft sigh and leaned back onto a pillar behind her, allowing Vinny to rest.

“Poor angel…” she whispered to herself as she looked at Vinny, his eyes were puffy, he’s had a hard day.

The cameraman shivered as he felt the smaller snakes climbed onto him and licked his skin. “Now now…how are you in the palace? I’ve never sssseen you before?” Rushifa spoke as she grabbed a decayed corpse off the ground and tore off its arm before biting into it. Vinny felt like he was gonna be sick, if the smell wasn’t enough seeing that definitely would.

“I-I j-just me and my f-friends-“ Vinny was stuttering like crazy as he held back a gag. He hated it here, he hated everything at the moment…

“Oh you’re even more fun than I thought” Rushifa laughed out sadistically as she allowed a snake crawl up to her ear? Ear holes? Whatever snakes have. Vinny watched as it hissed into her ears, seemingly telling her something. She pulled her veil down before getting really up close with Vinny.

The cameraman was caught off guard by her appearance, she was blind? A scar across her whole face, while her fangs were sharp like daggers, that could pierce through the air. “Your friendssss are coming!” She says to him as her tail squeezes around choking the air out of his lungs while her stinger threatened to pierce his cheek.

“W-what?” Vinny asked worriedly, they couldn’t be here, maybe Willow and Shancai knew how to fight this snake. Rushifa took another bite of the torn arm, her teeth sinking into its rotting flesh before she threw it against the ground allowing the smaller snakes to go after it and satiate their hunger.

“You heard me” She circled around him, “Your ninja friendsss and SSShancai along with that inssssuferable Willow are here! In my domain” She giggled, her voice darkened when talking about Willow, she didn’t seem to like her, “But no worriesss! I’ll deal with them” she hissed, before throwing her veil back on.

“S-Say! We haven’t had proper introductions, w-why don’t we ask some questions about each other?” Vinny asked as he tried to squirm out, but failed miserably due to the tail wrapped tightly.

“Rida wasss right about you, you sssure care about your friendssss” she hissed as she slithered down to a rotting tree stump and sat against it, her tail grip on Vinny loosening ever so slightly, “I suppossse you can ask some questions” she added, as she put her hand up signalling for him to continue, her nails were sharp they were more like claws…

“Uhh r-right…h-how do you know Rida…?” The cameraman hesitantly asked as he took a deep breathe of relief as her grip loosened.

“Me and Rida both dissslike the kingdom, we are not friendsss neither acquaintancesss he asksss for the occasional favour, I decide if I listen or not” Rushifa spoke as she allowed the smaller snakes to climb onto her and wrap around her neck.

“S-so neutral terms?” Vinny asked, receiving a nod from the snake.

“Now I have a question for you” She began, Vinny hesitantly nodded in agreement allowing her to continue. “Why does Rida have his eyess set on you?” She questioned, as she stood up again and circled around him, stopped behind him.

“I…I don’t now…” Vinny sighed before taking a sharp breathe as he felt a sharp claw press against the back on his neck.

“Are you sssure?” She questioned once more as she rested her head on Vinnys’ shoulder while wrapped one hand around his neck.

What the actual fuck was going one? Was all that was going through Vinnys’ mind, he hated being touched like this, “Y-yes…” he shakily responded as he tried to pull away from her touch, knowing very well it was futile. He wanted to kill himself the moment he felt her hand on his thigh…he met some random fucking snake lady in the forest and was now being harassed, who has this happened too before?!

“Don’t be shy” she whispered into his ear, “You were an easy one to convince to come here” she added, as she turned Vinnys’ face to a lifeless body on the ground..the exact body of the servant he spoke to before. Vinny felt disgusted more specifically at himself, why couldn’t stop her? Why was he so weak!?

“L-let me go…” Vinny whimpered out, it wasn’t an order but a plea, he hated being touched like this.

“What would Garamadon think if he found you like thisss?” She asked her voice feigning with mock empathy, Vinnys’ heart ached at the thought of Garmadon, she was right, what would he think? Would he be mad? Disgusted?

He didn’t want anyone else see him like this…he wanted to curl into a ball and die, she chuckled before reached towards the ground and tearing a piece of flesh of a body and pressing is against Vinnys’ mouth, “Eat it” she ordered, Vinnys’ heart dropped and his stomach twisted…he kinda missed Enji right now…

“W-what?” The cameraman managed to whimper our shakily, as he tried pulling his head away from the flesh being pressured to him, surely she must be joking? There was no way he would eat that…or so he thought…

“You heard me, eat it” she repeated her tone harsher as her hand entangled in Vinnys’ head keeping him in place and unable to turn away from the food?

“I-I can’t t-there’s h-how-“ The cameraman began stuttering again, he felt light-headed, where were the others? He couldn’t careless if they saw him like this…he wanted to leave he wanted to be free…

“You will eat it, whether you like it or not” She repeated, as she continued to pressure Vinny. “Eat it…and you and your friendsss may be able to leave somewhat unscathed”

Vinnys’ heart ached hearing that, he wanted to protect them, but what if she was lying? “S-swear?” He asked shakily, “Swear we’ll all leave a-alive? Hardly injured?” He added, desperate for an answer.

“I’ll hardly hurt them…I’ll attack if they attack firssst and have a little fun, but their injuriesss will be none too harsh, but a ssscratch of sssome sortsss” she answered, Vinny let out a shaky breathe as he turned his attention to the piece of flesh in front of him…what it worth it…?

“I-I…” the cameraman stuttered, out a snake hissed something into Rushifas’ ear.

“Time isss ticking, your friendsss are closse” She says to him as she pushes the flesh closer to his mouth, Vinny wanted to vomit, everything here was revolting.

“C-can’t I get s-sick?” He stuttered out.

“We’ll just have to sssee, I’ve done thisss to a certain someone nod she isn’t ill” Rushifa responded as she laughed softly, “Now eat” she hissed harsher than before, the grip of her tail loosened now Vinny was able to move his hands.

Tears welled in Vinnys’ eyes as he shut them tightly before opening his mouth slightly, Rushifa let out a sadistic chuckle before placing it in his mouth. It was disgusting…the coppery taste of the blood mixed with the salty tears of his, he held back a gag, “Chew” she ordered, “And make sure to swallow” she added in a playful tone.

He whimpered as he chewed, he wanted to throw up, he wanted to wash him out out. Eventually Vinny forced himself to swallow, before she fully released him from her tail, he dropped to the ground and sobbed staring at the ground, hoping he didn’t do this for nothing.

A small flicker of hoped burned in his chest as he heard soft muttering of a group of people in the forest and Rushifa noticed it too, staring a Vinny before lifting up his chin, “Best you smile for them” she says to him before planting a kiss on his cheek…that worsened Vinnys’ sickness as he tried rubbing away his tears…no one needed to know what he did…

Rushifa used the smaller snakes to hold Vinny down as she hid in the shadows. He didn’t fight back, he was tired and weak…his eyes widened as he saw Shancai and Willows’ figure followed by the rest of the group, their eyes instantly widened as they saw Vinny as they ran over and tried pulling the snakes away. “Shit! Are you alright?!” Willow asked with worry as she controlled the vines to throw the snakes all away,

“I-I’m fine…” Vinny answered, his voice was hoarse, it was an obvious lie…they all could tell, he was weak and shaky. The cameraman was helped up, everyone looked worried out of their mind, but he was drawn out of his thought, by a demonic echoey laugh, right…Rushifa was still here.

Willows’ eyes widened and she growled in annoyance, she didn’t seem to like Rushifa as much as Rushifa hated her. They all were on guard as they stared around. “She uses the smaller snakes to see us…” Willow spoke to them all, receiving a nod from the others as they drew their swords.

Vinny was surprised…because the moment no one payed attention, Garmadon pulled him as close as possible, Vinny looked up at him, he was so much more worried than the others…his heart ached…

“You made quite a bit of friendsss Willow” Rushifa spoke as she hanged from a tree branch using her tail, the nature elemental was about to attack, but was held back by her brother, “Sssoooo sssnappy”

Rushifa attacked first, hitting Jay with her stinger and falling into Nya’s arms. The rest of the ninja fought back, while Nya stayed with Jay who was slowly using his body function. Willow went over to the two before creating a berry, “Eat it” she spoke as she handed it to him, the lightning ninja did as told and his function was given back.

Vinny was just standing there, Garmadon was just standing in front of him…protecting him…his mind was numb…he couldn’t get rid of the coppery taste in his mouth, but he was drawn out of his thoughts by a loud hiss as Kai slashed his sword against Rushifas’ face tearing the veil and scarring her across her eyes…she was definitely gonna have another scar.

The group watched as the snake retreated into the trees followed by smaller snakes. As they determined she was gone they focused their attention on Vinny. “You sure you’re okay? She didn’t hit you with her stinger?” Shancai questioned.

“Yea…” Vinny responded his voice was monotone and his expression was blank, other than the slightly puffy eyes. The others noticed this, and it seemed to pain Willow the most. Willow began walking one way followed by everyone, he remained quiet he felt like if he spoke he would burst out in tears and throw up.

“Why’d you go here?” Zane asked, everyone looked just as curious.

“Some lying bitch convinced” Vinny grumbled, his tone was filled with hate, everyone seemed surprised by his tone, “I wasn’t going to! But then there were fucking wolves and I had no where else to fucking go!” He hissed, his anger was directed at himself.

“Are you sure you’re alright…?” Lloyd asked as they went back on the path, Willow waited till everyone got out and sealed that part of the forest again.

“I’m fucking fine…” Vinny answered as he walked past them trying to get back into the palace.

“Vinny seriously…what happened?” Nya asked, desperate for a proper answer.

“Nothing fucking happened! Drop it!” He hissed as tears began to well in his eyes again, they were caught off guard by his harsh tone and watched him walk into the palace leaving them jaw dropped.

“Show someone go after him?” Jay asked.

“No…he needs to be alone…” Willow sighed out as she rubbed her temples, the group nodded and slowly dispersed.

Vinny entered his room and fucking ran to the bathroom, he dropped to his knees in front of the toilet and almost immediately threw up, it was so relieving…he felt guilty for snapping at Nya, but they wouldn’t blame him if they found out what he did. He continued to throw up gagging and crying to himself.

Who the hell did he piss off for this to happen?

(With Willow and Shancai)

Everyone had went to go rest up after the sparring they were going to the markets later. “Hey…where’d Vinny go? He disappeared” Willow spoke up to her brother as they walked together.

“I am unsure…though Nya did go somewhere, I presume she knows?” Shancai answered, his sister nodded and grabbed his hand and tugged him towards a different hallway. “Where are we going?” He asked.

“We’re gonna go ask her if something happened, he wouldn’t just leave like that” Willow spoke, receiving a nod from her brother. They continued to walk down the halls before knocking on the door, Jay opened it.

“Oh hey” Jay spoke, clearly surprised to see the two.

“Hey, can we just borrow Nya for a second?” Nya asked as she peeked the in the room and looked at Nya who was laying on the bed.

“Uhh, sure?” Nya spoke up as she stood and went to the door allowing Jay to go back to the bed and rest there. “What’s up?” She asked as she stood at the door.

“Is…everything alright with Vinny? We noticed he was missing and you also went off…did something happen?” Willow spoke up, Nya let out a sighed as she rubbed her temple and her expression softened.

“Yea…he just has a lot on his mind” Nya replied, she didn’t know Shancai and Willow knew about Vinnys’ relationship with Garmadon.

“Should we check on him?” Shancai asked.

“I…don’t think so…he really wants to be alone” Nya answered.

“We know about his relationship with Garmadon” Willow whispered just loud enough for Nya to hear, but not Jay. The water ninja looked surprised hearing that and looked back at Jay before turning back and exiting the room and closing the door slightly.

“He told you?” Nya aksed, as the two nodded, “I…don’t know if I should tell you…” she sighed.

“Please we’re begging you” Willow begged.

“I…fine” Nya sighed, “Garmadon…wants a break from their relationship and Vinny isn’t taking it well…” she confessed, causing Willow and Shancais’ eyes to widen.

“H-how was he when you checked on him?” Willow asked, concern etched on her face.

“He…looked like he’d been crying” The water ninja spoke quietly as she looked at the ground.

“He wishes to be left alone?” Shancai questioned, receiving a nod for Nya, “Would checking on him be fine?” He asked.

“Should be…from what I’ve seen he enjoys both your company, might be sleeping maybe” Nya answered.

“R-right…” Willow sighed, “Thanks for your help” she added as she smiled softly.

“No problem…if anything happens, please tell me if you can…and I’ll tell you whatever I can” Nya answered.

“We will, I swear” Willow spoke.

“Bye…” Nya spoke softly as she watched the two leave and wave. The water ninja sighed to herself and rubbed her temples before going back into the room.

Willow and Shancai began making their way to Vinnys’ room, “Well he’s definitely gonna be quiet” Willow spoke.

“As expected…he didn’t seem to expect this to happen” Shancai answered.

“Enji’s…taken a toll on him…” The nature elemental spoke her voice quieter than before, Shancai stopped in his tracks and let out a shaky sigh.

“I know…” He spoke as he stared at the ground, Willow put her hand on her brothers’ shoulder.

“I know it’s hard…” She spoke softly, “Vinny’s gonna find out sooner or later…if you don’t tell him Enji will” she added.

“How am I meant to tell him?” Shancai asked, distress in his voice, “How would he react when he finds out?” He added.

“Shanni…he’d understand…and plus this was when we were kids, you didn’t know what would happen” Willow spoke in an attempt to comfort her brother.

“I could’ve stopped it though” Shancai retorted.

“You and Enji were kids, dumb kids…as much as you hate Enji now you still have some care for him, because he was your friend” Willow spoke her voice more harsh but still caring, “You can’t change the past…” she spoke quieter.

“Don’t remind me…” Shancai mumbled before walking ahead, Willow sighed and went quiet. They walked the rest of the way in silence before reaching Vinnys’ room.

Willow gently knocked, “Vinny? You in there?” She asked, no answer, she knocked again and waited a while, “I’m gonna come in” she called our, before opening the door and looking around.

“Where is he?” Shancai asked, as he stared at the empty bed and empty bathroom.

“Maybe he went for a walk? We can ask a servant if they saw him” Willow suggested receiving a nod for her brother, “I’ll go one way you go the other” she spoke as she exited the room and closed the door.

“I’ll see if his friends have seen him” Shancai spoke as he walked one direction while Willow went the other.

As Willow walked near the exit to the garden, she saw a group of servants, “H-hey, sorry for bothering, but have you seen a man here?” She asked one.

“Uhh yes yes, he was staring at the garden” one spoke with brown hair.

“And someone we didn’t recognise spoke to him, she had bangs that covered her eyes” Another spoke with blonde hair spoke, Willow’s heart dropped.

“D-did he go in the garden?” Willow questioned.

“Yes, he’s been there for a while, is everything alright?” Another with black hair spoke.

“Y-yea…everything’s fine…” Willow replied, “C-can you make sure no goes in the garden at all for me?” She requested.

“Of course” they spoke in unison.

“Thanks you” Willow spoke shakily, before bolting off towards the direction her brother went, she went down hall after hall, before finally spotting her brother, with Kai, Lloyd, Zane and Pixal. “Shanni!” Willow called out as she ran towards her brother.

“What? Did something happen? Are you hurt?” Shan is asked with worry as he made sure his sister wasn’t hurt.

“I-I’m fine” Willow spoke as she began to catch her breathe.

“Then what happened? You look like you ran across the whole palace” Kai spoke.

“I-I think he went into Rushifa’s part of the forest!” The nature elemental blurted out to her brother, her face was red from the running, she was taking deep breathes and she looked scared really scared. As Shancai heard those words his heart dropped. “I-if he went in there h-he might die!” She added.

“Who’s Rushifa?” Lloyd asked.

“In short words a serpentine with a hypnotic voice and invisibility” Zane spoke, receiving a nod from Kai and Lloyd.

“Are you sure?” Shancai asked.

“Y-yes, I asked people a-and they saw someone they didn’t recognise t-talk to him a-an-and-“ Willow was hyperventilating and Shancai noticed this.

“Calm down…we’re gonna go check…” Shancai spoke softly as he attempted to comfort her.

“What’s going on?” A voice spoke as Wu, Garmadon and Cole entered the same hall as them.

“Vinny might be in danger…” Lloyd hesitantly spoke as he braced himself for his fathers’ reaction.

“What!?” Garmadon hissed, they may he having a relationship break, but just as he said he still loved him.

“He might’ve went into the part of the forest I told you all about” Willow spoke to Wu and Garmadon, “And if Rushifa gets her hands on him who knows what might happen” she added, as she allowed her brother to lead them all one way towards the garden.

“Are we all coming?” Cole asked.

“If you want” Shancai spoke, as he summoned his spear.

“I’m gonna go get Nya and Jay” Kai spoke up as he ran towards his sisters’ room in a different hall.

“If he has a scratch on him then so he-“ Garmadon grumbled.

“Calm down…he’s still upset from the your conversation before, seeing you overprotective might upset him more” Wu whispered the his brother.

Kai came back with Nya and Jay, “You’re sure he’s in there?” Nya immediately asked.

“Yes” Shancai spoke, as he went down the pathway into the forest. Willow was terrified.

“She’s relentless…might toy with him till she’s bored and kill him” Willow whispered to her brother.

“Don’t dwell on those thoughts…he’ll be fine…I’m sure” Shancai whispered comfortingly.

As they stopped at torn away vine and shrubs from darker side of the forest, Willows’ heart dropped, “There…we’re wolves too…” she spoke shakily as she observed the bites and tears of the vines.

“There’s no blood though? Meaning he couldn’t be hurt?” Jay spoke up.

“Yes…but he didn’t go back into the palace either…” Willow added as she controlled the wines to create a bigger opening.

“It reeks…” Kai muttered.

“That’s the smell of rotting bodies…” the nature elemental admitted, “If you see one don’t touch it” she added, as she entered.

“T-this Rushifa…is there anything else we should know?” Lloyd asked.

“She had a stinger at the end of her tail…how? I don’t know…but it’ll paralyse you and in rare cases kill you, her having the voice of a siren she can control animals too…more specifically the snakes” Willow answered as she remained on guard leading with ever brother.

“Wow…I wish I didn’t know that…” Jay whined.

“What are the chances he isn’t hurt?” Cole asked, receiving glares from everyone, “N-not badly hurt, maybe a scar or something…he’s a guy with a broken arm…he’s only weapon is a dagger that we don’t even know he has” Cole added.

“Best we don’t think about it, and make sure he comes out alive” Shancai spoke up.

“Uhh guys…” Kai spoke shakily as he picked up torn fabric off a jagged tree branch. “This is definitely new…” he added.

“At least we know he’s here” Pixal spoke, it was true at least they knew he was in the forest and not blindly walking.

This was gonna take some time…

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 72

Vinny walked and walked through the halls he couldn’t stop, he ignored the stares from some guards and servants and opened the door to his room before closing it before breaking down. His legs gave out as he slid down the door, he couldn’t even get to bed if he wanted too.

Tears streamed down his face as he pulled his knees to his chest and sobbed. Why was it every time he grew somewhat better, something ruined it? It was just a break…right? Why was he making such a big deal about this? Garmadon was right, he needed space, everything’s taken a toll on his mental health.

Fuck…how badly he wanted to kill Enji…how badly he wanted to use the very dagger his hand was stabbed with to gouge Enjis’ eye out…Vinnys’ eyes widened at his thoughts, what was he doing? He couldn’t do that…he would never get close enough to Enji…but how badly he wanted to make him cry in pain…

The cameraman rubbed his eyes as he tried to stop himself from crying, he shouldn’t have walked away like that, someone must’ve saw…Shancai and Willow might’ve saw and they might ask questions, he didn’t want to see anyone, he wanted to be alone, he wanted to scream and cry…but he couldn’t…he wasn’t in control, his body felt numb, he didn’t want to walk off like that, but he couldn’t stop…

Vinny continued to sob quietly as he itched his hand and rested his face on his knew. He breathing quickened as he held onto his clothes tightly, he couldn’t think properly, couldn’t see properly, and couldn’t move properly. He dug his nails into his skin, hard enough to cause pain and draw blood. His body screamed at him to stop, but his mind didn’t listen.

Though there was the faint sound of knocking which caught Vinnys’ attention, he didn’t want to check who it was…but as there was another knock the longer he sat against the door. His body finally listened and allowed him to stand up, he rubbed his eyes with his sleeve before taking a deep breath and opening the door…Nya…

“Hey…” the water ninja spoke softly as she looked at Vinny worriedly noticing his state.

“H-hey” The cameraman replied quickly as he avoided eye contact with her.

“Did something happen? I-I noticed you walk off when Garmadon spoke to you…” Nya asked, her voice soft and caring as she took note of Vinnys’ puffy eyes.

“N-no…nothing happened…” Vinny answered shakily as he held onto the door tightly and tried holding back tears, he didn’t want to think about it.

“Hey…I don’t expect you tell to me about your attitude change recently, but I want to know about your relationship, because it clearly hurts you the most…you can trust me…” The water ninja spoke in an attempt to comfort him, Vinny stated at the ground, before moving to the side allowing Nya to enter the room, which she did, and the door was closed.

“He…he wants a break…” Vinny managed to confess, as he faced his back to Nya and began itching his hand again.

“O-oh fuck…” the water ninja whispered quietly before putting a comforting hand on his shoulder, “Any reason…?” She hesitantly asked.

“H-he said…we-I need space…” Vinny answered, his voice barely audible as he rubbed his moist eyes, “Don’t cry…” Vinny constantly thought to himself.

“It’s a break right? And he still loves you?” Nya asked softly, the cameraman nodded slightly, “Maybe once whatever is bothering you is over, it’ll go back to normal you’ll both be back together…” she added, as she hugged him.

“I-it was just so s-sudden” Vinny whimpered out as he wrapped his trembling arm around her, returning the hug, “I-I started feeling better…” he added quietly.

“And you will get better, he’ll know when you’re better…he’s just doing what he thinks is right…” Nya spoke softly, her expression was soft and understanding.

“D-did anyone see me walk off?” Vinny quietly asked.

“Lloyd and Master Wu…Wu went to ask Garmadon what happened…” Nya confessed, at least it wasn’t anyone else, as much as he liked Willow and Shancais’ comfort he needed some alone time. “If…Garmadon doesn’t tell them what happened can I?” She asked, as she allowed Vinny out of the hug.

“Yea…” Vinny replied, as he sat on the bed, “Just…don’t tell them about how I reacted” he added, Nya nodded in response.

“You want some alone time?” She asked, receiving a nod, “Hey…we’re all gonna explore later, you wanna come?” She added.

“I’ll…think about it” Vinny answered.

“I’ll come tell you when we’re about to leave…” Nya spoke before going towards the door, “Try to relax…get your mind off it…I’ll tell the others you were tired” she added before opening the door.

“I will…bye…” He answered as he watched her waved goodbye and leave, closing the door. As the door was shut, he instantly laid down on the bed and groaned. Man his life sucked…

Garmadon said he still loved him…that’s all that mattered…they didn’t break up at least…Vinny stretched and stared at the roof, maybe he should go to Deity…she seemed busy, maybe not.

He laid in bed and slept for like an hour before waking up disheveled, puffy eyes, messed up hair and red eyes. Vinny went to the bathroom and splashed his face with warm water, “Go take a walk…” he spoke to himself which he did as he took a drink from his water bottle before leaving the room.

As he walked down the hallways, he noticed Willow and Shancai, he quickly walked by not wanting to talk. Vinny exited the palace now in the garden, he did realise that the carpets had pictures of the places which was useful. “Where are you off to?” A unfamiliar voice spoke which instantly caught his attention as he turned to it, a servant.

“J-just going out for air” Vinny answered awkwardly as he stared at her.

“The pathway leads to a area, quite relaxing” the servant spoke, “There is a dark area you have to pass though” she added.

“Right…” the cameraman answered nervously as he stared at the pathway.

“You should go” the servant spoke, as she rested her arm on Vinnys’ hip.

“I’ll think about it…” Vinny responded as he slid away from her touch, it felt weird, he didn’t like it. He quickly walked off into the garden and sat down on the edge of a fountain. He was tempted to find that area she was talking about.

Vinny looked back, the servant was gone, which was relieving he didn’t really like her. He worked up the courage and began going down that pathway. It was fairly nice large flowers and tall trees, but then it cut off into a darker area…she did say to go through it but he didn’t want to…he didn’t really have to check out the place, and it was blocked by vines.

He turned around ready to leave, but heard a howl. “Fuck…” he muttered to himself as he began to run, but his direction was cut off by a wolf and so was the other pathway. “Just my luck…” Vinny grumbled, before he fumbled for the dagger in his pocket, it wouldn’t do much, but at least he had a weapon.

A wolf lunged forward, Vinny managed to get out of its’ way in time, but it tore away some of the vines that blocked the darker area. As the wolves prepared to attack the cameraman managed to squeeze through a small gap in the vines and quite literally ran. It was a mess and it reeked. He turned around, the wolves were still chasing him.

Vinny continued to run, running into vines and flowers, occasionally tripping over roots, till eventually the wolves were gone. “Fucking hell” Vinny hissed to himself, he was in a forest, was just chased by wolves and has a broken fucking arm. This day just kept getting worse…

The sun was blocked out, by large trees and the place reeked like nothing he’s smelt before. He tried making his way back, but had no ideal it was like he was going in circles. Vinnys’ heart stopped as he heard soft hissing and slithering…please no snakes…

“You must be Rida’sss new plaything…” a feminine voice spoke, it sent chills down his spine, must be a Serpentine…but which one? He tried looking around desperate to find where the voice was coming from, but it echoed and came form every direction.

“I-I don’t know what you mean…” Vinny finally answered, he tried to sound intimidating, but it sounded like he was intimidated. Who knew Rida? Why was he called Rida’s plaything?

“Yessss you do ssssilly” the voice spoke again, this time directly into Vinnys’ ear, he instantly whipped around…there was nothing…

“I-I clearly intruded…I’ll l-leave…” Vinny spoke shakily, he didn’t want problems with whoever the fuck this was.

“No no no no” the voice spoke, this time Vinny felt something wrap around his legs and he looked down at it…a tail…it had a…stinger at the end of it…

“W-who are you…?” Vinny managed to squeak out.

“Rushifa” She spoke as she appeared behind Vinny, placing her hands on his shoulders, “I’m here to make your life worssssse than Enji” she chuckled, Vinny couldn’t speak he felt like his voice was gone, this snake, a dark purple, wearing a veil, contrasting between anacondrai and hypnobrai colour pattern, she seemed to be wearing some sort of…crown..made of bones…?

“W-what?” Vinny managed to stutter out, before he felt her tail warp around him, squeezing him tightly.

“Is there a training grounds here?” Nya asked, Shancai nodded in response.

“We could use some training…fighting against someone we don’t know due to our new threat” Lloyd spoke.

“New threat?” Willow muttered to Vinny.

“Enji…” The cameraman whispered back, Willow made a ‘oh’ sign with her mouth and nodded.

“How about we finish eating then we can go?” Wu asked, receiving nods from the others.

“Where’s your mother?” Jay blurted out to Willow and Shancai, they both shrugged.

“I saw her earlier…but she was busy with something…” the nature elemental spoke, Vinny and Shancai exchange worried looks, wondering what was up with Deity.

They all finished eating and began making their way to the training grounds. When they went by Deitys’ room Vinny paused, he wanted to see her. “Everything alright?” Kai asked the cameraman noticing he stopped walking.

“Uh…yea, go on without me I’ll catch up, just gotta do something” Vinny answered receiving nods from the others as they began walking again, Willow and Shancai staring as him curiously, Vinny pointed to Deitys’ door and they both realised what he was doing and nodded, then walked off.

Once he was alone, he worked up the courage to gently knock on the closed door. He didn’t hear anything and waited a bit more, thankfully the door was opened and Deity stood there. She looked overworked…was that chest Enji took worrying her that much?

“Morning dear…” Deity spoke softly as she gave him a small smile, it was obviously forced and didn’t carry the same comfort of one true smile.

“Morning…” Vinny replied, “Sorry…for bothering you, I just wanted to check on you” he added, Deitys’ expression softened hearing that.

“I’m well dear, did you rest well?” She questioned.

“Yea…I wanted to thank you too, talking to you helped…” Vinny spoke to her, when he spoke to her, he felt like the weight of the world was lifted off his shoulders.

“It’s no problem dear…talking to you helped me as well” She answered, “Is everyone awake?” She added.

“Yep, we were going to the training grounds, Willow suggested Shancai spar with the others and he took up on the idea” Vinny replied.

“That’s good…” she sighed, “I checked up on you early this morning…you weren’t in your room, but then I went to Shancais’…I was surprised seeing you all bunched up together…” she chuckled.

“I wasn’t planning on it…me and him were up and we must’ve woke Willow up, but she came in and suggested a sleepover…it was really nice” Vinny answered, his expression softened at the thought.

“I also happened to check again and find Willow purring makeup on you two” Deity teased, causing Vinny to blush.

“Y-yea she did…but it was funny…” Vinny spoke through embarrassment.

“Best you be off, before you lose your way” she teased.

“R-right!” The cameraman laughed out as he looked back in the hallway, “I’ll see you later” he added, Deity waved goodbye and watched Vinny run off into the hallway and try to catch up with the others.

Vinny was out of breath as he finally made it back to the others, “Look who decided to grace up with his presence” Kai teased as he allowed Vinny to lean against him and catch his breath. Garmadon looked at the cameraman and sighed, he wanted to talk…but how…?

“Those…” Vinny panted as he pointed to the halls, “Are some long ass hallways” he breathed heavily.

“That’s why you walk in them” Shancai spoke as he summoned his spear and gently bonked Vinnys’ head.

“I had to catch up!” The cameraman answered, “And I was not going to talk to someone to find you all!” He added.

“Idiot” Nya teased, as they all exited the palace into a large area.

“Here we are!” Willow spoke joyfully as she pointed to the area, it had archery targets, hay targets and all types of training equipment.

“Sometimes I forget we’re in a huge kingdom…” Cole spoke as he stared into the large area. They went down the stairs and designated one area to their training.

“Shall we warm up?” Zane questioned.

“Stretch” Shancai spoke, “You two may not pull a muscle” he pointed to Zane and Pixal “but they will” he added as he pointed to the rest who are not nindroids. “You’re not fighting I take it?” He asked Vinny.

“I would pull a muscle with or without stretching” Vinny chuckled, and sat down where Shancai pointed. Wu and Garmadon sat on the side.

“Shanni! Take off your armour, you’re sparring!” Willow begged her brother, Shancai rolled his eyes, before taking off his top armour piece, he was wearing a black compression shirt underneath. Goddamn did he have muscles.

“I do not want to fight him…” Jay muttered to Kai and Cole.

“Agreed…” Kai and Cole spoke in agreement, Shancai rested his armour piece next to Vinny, who just stared at it and tried poking it…never again…that’s heavy…

“How about we just do weapons first?! Then we can have on with you all using your powers!” Vinny suggested.

“That’s wise” Zane spoke.

“Very well” Shancai answered as his eyes scanned his spear for any damages, the other ninja nodded in agreement.

As the ninja finished stretching and warming up, they debated who was sparring Shancai first, “I say Jay goes first” Kai suggested.

“W-what why me?!” Jay answered, clearly offended.

“Cause if you can beat him we can” Cole teased, he was just playing along with Kais’ teases.

“He won’t kill you!” Willow called out from next to Vinny in an attempt to comfort them, “Not sure about hurting though!” She added, she wanted to mess with them.

“He’ll hurt them?” Vinny asked her.

“Nah, I’m just messin’ with em’”Willow answered, causing the cameraman to snicker. “How about you all go at it?!” She called out.

“What?” Lloyd asked curiously.

“You all attack him with weapons!” She answered.

“A-are you sure? Maybe that’s too much” Nya questioned.

“What’s that meant to mean?” Shancai questioned, to him it sounded like he was being underestimated.

“N-nothing!” Nya spoke immediately.

“Sure…we can do it…?” Lloyd replied, causing Willow to smile happily.

“You sure this is good?” Vinny asked.

“I know my brother and his limits…and he knows them too” Willow replied to Vinny.

They all positioned themselves, Shancai in the middle surrounded by the others, Vinny, Willow, Garmadon and Pixal all sitting out. Kai attacked first, lunging forward with a sword, the prince dodged with ease, moving with grace. He used the blunt end of his spear to knock the others away.

As Jay attacked with nunchucks Shancai used the spear head to lodge it in the chains of the nunchucks and pull it out of Jays’ hands throwing it to the side. “Cocky” the prince spoke as Kai attacked again, “Slow” he spoke to Cole, who was using a scythe, “Aggressive” he said to Nya, who growled at him.

“I’ll show you aggressive…” Nya grumbled, Cole managed to grab Shancai from behind using the spear to keep his arms back, while Lloyd put a sword to his neck, they seemed to have let their guard down slightly.

Shancai jumped off the ground and used Zanes’ chest for power as he knocked off it, freeing his arms from Coles’ grip and landing behind him, “Save your celebrations till after all escapes are blocked” the prince spoke as he knocked Jay to the ground and held the spear to his throat.

“Geez okay!” Jay spoke with fear, he didn’t like this, Shancai sighed and got up.

“You spend too much time calculating every possible outcome, remember you don’t know your opponent you’ve never fought me before” Shancai spoke as he used his spear to point to Zane.

“I like him…” Wu muttered to Garmadon, Wu clearly liked his teaching style and how he critiqued their flaws.

“You put too much power in your hits and that slows you down” Shancai spoke as he pointed to Cole, “Too confident in yourself…you don’t know your limits” points to Kai.

“He didn’t kill them…but he killed something” Vinny muttered to Willow who laughed.

“Aggressive, something spoken that you dislike you’re triggered” Shancai spoke and pointed to Nya, “And you’re not confident enough” points to Lloyd.

“Geez…harsh much” Kai spoke, with fake offence.

As Shancai began helping better their techniques Wu got up and began helping as well, they did get along quite well. Pixal joined Zane in seeing how she can better her techniques.

“Gonna go see what he says about me” Willow spoke to Vinny as she got up and went to her brother Vinny nodded. Now it was just Garmadon and Vinny sitting out.

The cameraman tried to ignore Garmadons’ presence and focus on what Shancai was doing, but it failed…because Garmadon sat next to him, “Hey…” the oni spoke quietly.

“Hey…” Vinny replied bluntly, he didn’t want to talk, but he missed him.

“I…need to talk about something…” Garmadon mumbled, his voice becoming quieter and sadder.

“If it’s about my health then no we won’t talk about it…” Vinny sighed as he looked at the ground.

“It…isn’t…” The oni whispered, Vinny looked at him curiously…what could it be about…?

“Alright…I’m listening…” the cameraman sighed.

“I understand…the past few days haven’t been the best for both of us…” Garmadon began, Vinny nodded in following, “I love you…I really do…” he added quietly, the cameraman looked at him curiously…where was this going…?

“What’s wrong…?” Vinny asked, he was impatient, he was scared, nervous and terrified…

“A break…” Garmadon confessed quietly, Vinnys’ heart dropped.

“A-a break? What’s that meant to mean?” The cameraman asked, he needed to make sure it wasn’t what he thought it would be…

“We need a break Vinny…” Garmadon repeated as he stared at the ground, he couldn’t bring himself to look at Vinny.

Vinnys’ heart dropped heading those words, his mind just turned off, “I-is it me…?” He managed to whisper out.

Garmadon immediately panicked seeing Vinnys’ reaction, “N-no…it’s not…we just need…some space from each other, you need space…” Garmadon answered, as he looked at Vinny.

“R-right…just a break…” Vinny breathed out sharply.

“I…I still love you…I do, though having a relationship at the moment isn’t working for us…” Garmadon confessed, it clearly pained him to say all this.

Vinny just nodded, he couldn’t speak, he couldn’t think, he couldn’t move…what was happening…?

“Are you a-“ Garmadon cut himself off as Vinny got up and walked away. He really didn’t know what he was doing…he wanted to keep Vinny safe…but nothing was working…

Vinnys’ mind and body worked in auto pilot as it just walked back inside the palace. Nya, Wu, and Lloyd noticed this and turned their attention to Garmadon, who was looking at the ground rubbing his temples and stroking a hand through his hand.

Vinny just kept walking and walking…where was he going…? No idea…did he want to know? No…all he knew was that his life just collapsed in the span of 3 minutes…

As the night went by Willow stirred awake, she quickly remembered what happened last night and sat up, one of her legs were sprawled across her brothers’ body while Vinnys’ arm was sprawled against Shancais’ chest. Shancai just had his arms wrapped around the two in a comforting way.

“He’s still sleeping…that’s a first…” she chuckled to herself quietly as she looked at her brother. She turned her attention to the window and squinted her eyes as she was hit with a dull ray of sunshine. She quickly turned away and rubbed her eyes. Willow grabbed her phone and checked the time, “8:53…” she muttered before working up the energy to get up.

She made sure to be careful not to wake up the other two, as she made her way out of the blanket fort. She stood there for a moment wondering what to do before a devilish smirk appeared on her face as she ran like a gremlin to her room and gathered a bunch of things into her arms.

She rushed back to her brothers’ room and closed the door behind her. Willow threw the stuff she grabbed into the bed and picked something up…lipstick…she sat next to the two, moving Vinnys’ arm from Shancais’ chest. She did their makeup…being extra cautious on her brother due to his cautiousness.

As the Shancai began to stir awake, he attempted to sit up, but was weighed down by Vinnys’ leg. He looked around and noticed Willow awake on her phone, “Morning” the prince spoke to his sister.

“Morning sleepyhead” Willow replied, “You slept in, it’s 9:45” she added as she teased her brother.

“It is…?” Shancai looked surprised hearing that.

“Yep, no one else is awake though, other than mama though she’s busy with something” Willow replied, as she smiled at her brother.

Vinny began to stir awake, his eyes fluttering open as he stared at the blanket roof and blinked. “Morning…” he spoke as he continued to lay there.

“Morning, sleep well?” Willow asked, Vinny nodded.

“Yea….” He answered, “Sorry…” the cameraman spoke to Shancai as he moved his leg from his body, allowing the prince to sit up.

“All is well…it was fairly comfortab-“ Shancai cut himself off as he looked at Vinnys’ face, Willow however was biting her lip holding back a laugh.

“What…?” Vinny asked curiously, as he looked back at Shancai and his jaw dropped.

“Your face…” Vinny and Shancai spoke in unison, the prince immediately looked at Willow, who was snickering to herself. Vinny however grabbed his phone and went into the camera.

“Holy shit Willow…” Vinny laughed out as he saw his face, Shancai looked at Vinny, who turned the phone towards the prince allowing him to see his face.

Shancai took a deep breathe as he looked at his face, “You can’t deny it’s funny” Willow laughed out.

“It definitely is funny” Vinny confessed as he held back laughter.

“How much did you put on?” Shancai questioned as he touched his face, only to have some foundation pressed onto his hand.

“I have no idea! But you were sleeping so I did it” Willow admitted as she fell back onto the makeshift floor bed and laughed out, kicking her legs.

“Can we take it off?” Vinny questioned.

“Yep! I already took a photo of both of you” Willow teased, causing Shancai to sighed and Vinny to chuckle. “Off to my room!” She added as she stood up, the two men stood up and followed her out of the room.

“You both gotta admit that was a hell of a good sleep” Willow spoke.

“It was unusually comfortable…” Shancai confessed.

“Definitely, it was so comfy an-“ Vinny was cut off.

“What the fuck?!” It was Nya who was bursting in laughter as she saw Shancais’ and Vinnys’ face.

“I-I can explain?” The cameraman spoke awkwardly, Shancai however immediately went into Willows’ room and dragged Vinny in.

“I have pictures! I’ll show you later!” Willow called out to Nya, who gave her an approving nod. The nature elemental went into her bedroom and laughed seeing her brother, he was clearly embarrassed by this.

“Did you use all that?” Vinny questioned, as he noticed a bunch of makeup products scattered on her bed.

“Obviously” she spoke as she playfully rolled her eyes and pushed the two into the bathroom and handed them a bottle. “Wash that on your face, scrub it in like really really well” she added.

Shanghai and Vinny nodded as they turned on the water, wet their faces and began using whatever cleanser they were given. “Never do this again…” Shancai sighed.

“Normally I would agree, but it’s fucking hilarious waking up and seeing my face covered in makeup” Vinny spoke.

“See? Someone gets me” Willow spoke as she wrapped her arm around Vinnys’ neck.

“Yes yes…” Shancai rolled his eyes, “We’re all getting dressed…correct?” He added, receiving nods from the other two.

“Then we’re eating, I’m starved!” Willow spoke, “Then I have pictures I need to show Nya” She teased the two.

“She’s never gonna let me live that down” Vinny whined, as he dried his face with a towel he was given by Willow.

“Neither will I!” The nature elemental teased, as she watched the two begin to leave her room, to change their clothes.

Shancai sighed as she closed the door, “She’s nice” Vinny spoke to him.

“Yea…” the prince admitted, “She is, isn’t she…?” He added.

“You two balance each other perfectly…” Vinny replied, receiving a nod from Shancai. “See you for now…” he added as he went into his room, the prince just waved goodbye and went into his room.

Vinny closed his door and stared at the closest, there was a bunch of clothes. The kingdom must’ve had guests a lot, he didn’t really know what to wear, everything was so modest. Maybe the others were wearing clothes that modest? He saw Nya wearing something definitely from here.

He eventually settled on something, it wasn’t too complicated, but it was blue, his favourite colour. And to say it wasn’t comfy would be a lie. All the clothes were so soft and flowey. Vinny was happy when he realised it had pockets and he shoved the dagger into there, then he put his shoes on.

He looked in a mirror and sighed in relief, he was looking so much better. He liked it here…

Vinny took a sip of water from his water bottle which was given by Shancai the previous night. He eventually left his room and saw Willow and Shancai leaning against the wall. Shancai was wearing his armour and his hair in that singular bubble braid while Willow was a shirt with shorts and her hair in a loose braided bun. It was a clear contrast between them all.

“Looking good” Willow spoke in a singsongy tone as she ruffled Vinnys’ hair.

“So are you both” Vinny replied as he laughed and tried fixing his hair.

“I suppose your friends are waiting for us” Shancai spoke to Vinny.

“Would be a shame to keep them waiting” Willow teased.

“I know…” Vinny sighed, he wondered how Garmadon was doing at the moment.

“Oh right! Forgot to tell you, I saw mum talking to your lover yesterday afternoon, after she spoke to you” Willow spoke, as they all began walking.

“T-they were? Did you hear anything?” Vinny questioned, he desperately wanted answers.

“Not really, though I heard love in their conversation” Willow smirked as she nudged Vinny, causing him to blush.

“That’s…sweet?” Shancai spoke awkwardly, causing Willow to laugh.

“What’s funny?” Vinny questioned.

“Sunshine here doesn’t know anything about relationships, he knows basic stuff, but can’t take hints!” Willow teased her brother, “He’s never dated someone, hell he’s never kissed someone!” She continued to tease as she poked her brother.

“Seriously?” Vinny asked, Shancai reluctantly nodded, “How!? Everyone should be fawning over you!” He added, the prince looked a little surprised.

“That’s what I tell him” Willow said, “It’s so painfully obvious when someone flirts with him, he’s smart, but not relationship smart” she added, a hint of sympathy in her voice.

“Enough you two…” Shancai sighed as he rubbed his temple and walked ahead.

“Hey! Slow down!” Vinny called out as he caught up with him, followed by Willow.

They continued to walk down hallways before entering what was most definitely a dining room. Vinny smiled to himself as he saw his friends all sitting there. Most waved, other than Garmadon who just gave him a nod of notice.

The three sat down, Vinny next to Lloyd on one side and Shancai on the other, while Willow was next to Shancai.

“Who cut your hair?” Kai spoke up to Vinny.

“Is it that obvious?” Vinny chuckled, quite literally everyone nodded, “He did” he added as he pointed to Shancai.

“Well you look so much better than recently” Lloyd spoke, Nya however was smirking at Willow who was signalling for her to come over. The water ninja sat next to Willow and laughed out as she saw a photo of Vinny and Shancai, sleeping with makeup on.

“What’s up?” Cole questioned, Vinny and Shancai stared at the table with pure embarrassment as Willow held up here phone. Everyone burst out laughing, hell even Zane and Pixal let out a small snicker.

“That was this morning?” Lloyd asked, receiving a nod from Willow. Garmadons’ expression softened as he saw the picture, it was weird…Vinny was so close to Shancai…he felt weird…he didn’t like it…Wu seemed to have noticed his brothers’ distress.

“Were you all sleeping in the same room?” Wu spoke, but silently speaking on his brothers’ behalf.

“Yea, we were all awake in like the middle of the night, and I suggested we have a sleepover! So we did!” Willow answered, Garmadon felt a little relived hearing that…Wu let out a sigh of relief noticing his brother.

“Any plans for today?” Nya asked.

“Might show you all around the kingdom” Willow suggested, “Though maybe you can spar with my brother? I’m curious about your powers, I haven’t really met another elemental” Willow spoke, it was partially a lie with Enji in the question.

“I don’t see why not” Wu spoke.

“Sounds like a plan” Vinny spoke up, receiving nods from the others.

(Just so everyone knows, Willow is dark-skinned and has white hair like her mother, while Deity is extremely pale and has white hair as well, Shancai is a mix of both, his vitiligo is dark-skinned and pale-skinned with black hair)

As Vinny finished getting dressed he wondered if Shancai was still awake. He hesitated for a moment before leaving the room and going over to the princes’ room. The cameraman stared at the closed door before taking a deep breathe and gently knocking.

He heard some rustling from inside the room and the door opened, Shancai was awake. “Is something wrong?” The prince questioned, there was no annoyance in his voice.

“Just wanted to check if you were up…” Vinny spoke awkwardly, Shancai nodded in understanding before moving to the side offering Vinny to enter the room, “A-are you sure?” The cameraman questioned, the prince nodded. He didn’t talk much, unlike Willow they were like polar opposites, but they were both likeable.

The cameraman entered the room and looked around, it was more decorated than his room, which made sense he was in a guest room. Vinny noticed that Shancai had a shit ton of hair products, some organised while others just put on the dressing table. The prince pointed for Vinny to sit on the bed, which he did.

“Did you bathe well?” The prince questioned as he went to the dressing table and took off the bonnet, placing it to the side, he made sure to hold up his hair so it doesn’t reach the ground. Vinny pulled out the dagger and began fidgeting with it.

“Yea…it was really relaxing…how about you?” Vinny responded, as he watched the prince start to put other products on his hair, Vinny suspected that Shancai didn’t put them in before, because he had to make sure the cameraman didn’t die in the bathtub.

“It was well…do you like your hair?” Shancai questioned once more, he didn’t seem the best at conversing with others.

“Yep, it’s nice, I was gonna get a haircut later this week…but then I ended up here and it just slipped off my mind…” Vinny chuckled awkwardly, the prince nodded in acknowledgment and continued fixing his hair. “You’re hair’s really nice…” Vinny blurted out without thinking.

Shancai paused for a moment, “Thank you…” he finally spoke up, cussing Vinny to let out a shaky breathe he didn’t even know he was holding.

“Do people normally compliment your looks?” The cameraman hesitantly asked.

“Occasionally…not necessarily my body marks, but mostly my hair and eyes…” Shancai answered.

“R-right…so your body marks…not the vitiligo, the patterned ones…where are they from?” Vinny asked.

“I am…unsure, my mother said I was born with them…I’ve never really…believed it…” Shancai replied, his voice becoming quieter as he looked at his arm covered in those patterned marks.

“Should I not ask these questions? I don’t wanna press on if you’re uncomfortable…” Vinny spoke as he looked at the prince worriedly.

“You are free to do so…it’s not often I’m questioned about myself” Shancai spoke as he looked at Vinny.

“Alright…you don’t have to answer everything if you don’t want to” Vinny spoke before taking a deep breathe, “Was it…hard growing up with those marks? I don’t know much about the kingdom and it’s people…but back in Ninjago people are really judgy…”he asked.

“It was…though I had a friend, he assured me of everything…and he was the closest I’ve ever been with someone I wasn’t related to…. Shancai confessed, the cameraman looked at him curiously.

“What happened?” Vinny asked.

“He…disappeared…” Shancai sighed as his eyes flicked down to the dagger that was in the cameramans’ hand.

“Oh…” Vinny spoke, he was about to say something, but was cut off by the door opening.

“Are you seriously still awake…?” A familiar tired voice spoke as the two turned their attention to the door. Willow…wearing a shirt and shorts as she rubbed her eye from exhaustion.

“Yes I am…” Shancai spoke to Willow who blinked for a couple of seconds before turning to Vinny.

“Are you having a sleepover?” The nature elemental spoke, “I’m hurt I wasn’t invited” she added as he made a dramatic pose, Shancai rubbed his temple while Vinny chuckled.

“We’re not…we were just talking” The cameraman spoke to Willow.

“We should have one, all three of us!” The nature elemental spoke, her exhaustion disappearing.

“I wouldn’t want to intrude and this is your brothers’ room” Vinny spoke, as he looked towards the prince who was putting his hair back in the bonnet.

“It is fine with me…as long as someone actually sleeps” Shancai spoke as he looked towards Willow who smiled sheepishly.

“I’ll sleep I swear!” Willow laughed out as she closed the door.

“Alright then” Vinny spoke as he smiled, Shancai nodded in agreement.

“Shanni! Please I am begging you can we make a blanket fort!” Willow begged her brother.

“Seriously?” Shancai sighed, the nature elemental nodded desperately.

“He wants it” Willow spoke as he pointed to Vinny who was silently laughing at the two siblings.

“Fine fine…” The prince answered, Willow immediately jumped towards the bed and grabbed the pillows and blankets.

“Help me you two” she spoke, the two nodded and did as they were told. Setting the blankets and pillows in ways that made a roof and and soft makeshift floor bed. It took around 10 minutes and then they laid in it.

“I haven’t been able to convince Shancai to do this since we were kids” Willow told Vinny as she relaxed in the blanket fort.

“That’s because it’s childish” Shancai spoke.

“Childish? This will never become childish!” Vinny laughed out, he really enjoyed their company, Willow was the perfect amount of fun and childish while Shancai was the perfect amount of mature and serious.

“See? Even he gets it!” Willow said to her brother who rolled his eyes playfully. “Admit it! You’re having fun!” She begged her brother.

“Alright…” Shancai sighed, “Maybe I am enjoying this a little bit” he added.

“A little bit?” Vinny teased as he laid on his side and stared at Shancai.

“Maybe a lot…” the prince looked at Vinny and corrected himself.

“Yes you are!” Willow laughed before she playfully ruffled her brothers’ hair, only to have her hand knocked away.

“This is the best I’ve felt in a while…” Vinny sighed as he relaxed onto his back.

“With the whole Enji thing?” Willow asked.

“Yea…you two really make me feel better…” the cameraman sighed.

“Well I knocked two birds with one stone!” Willow teased Vinny and Shancai, “You’re both so moody” she laughed.

“Yes yes…” Shancai sighed as he bit back a smile, “Now sleep…mother doesn’t like us staying up” he added.

“Correction…she doesn’t like you staying up” Willow spoke, “Me and Vinny are fine” she added.

“Yea, I slept before” the cameraman teased Shancai.

“Well if we don’t sleep then how would we be able to show Vinny around the kingdom tomorrow” The prince spoke, clearly knowing his sister well. Willow put her hand up to retort, but stayed silent.

“Fine, you win!” She laughed out as she playfully punched her brother.

“Who’s turning off the light…?” Vinny asked.

“Shanni…” Willow instantly spoke, Shancai looked at his sister, before sighing and getting up then turning off the light and laying back down.

“Now we sleep…” Willow yawned as she rolled to her side, the other two nodded and Vinny hugged a spare pillow. “Night everyone…” she added.

“Goodnight…” Shancai spoke in response.

“Night…” the cameraman yawned in response.

Silence filled the room, it was a comforting silence…the sound of the wind gently howling from outside as it entered the room and gently hit against their bodies. Willow was first to fall asleep her soft breathing, then it was Vinny and finally Shancai…

Vinny liked this…he liked this kingdom…he liked everyone he’s met here…they make him feel safe…

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 68

Vinny began to stir awake mumbling incoherent words as he did. As his eyes fluttered opened he stared out the window, it looked late maybe 11pm or something. Why was he up? How did he get to bed? Where’d Deity do? When did he sleep? Questions ran through his mind, but it faded when he realised how fucking thirsty he was.

The cameraman sat up in bed and brought his arm up to rub his eye, but as he did so he realised he had the cast on. “Forgot about that…” he spoke to himself before stretching and getting out of bed. Maybe he could find a servant and ask for water, he put his shoes on and left his room, the door clicking as it was shut.

The halls were lightly dimmed and isolated, just the faint burning of some candles and the wind blowing outside. Vinny began walking down the hallways, dehydration continued to catch up to him as he licked his chapped lips. As he continued walking he began admiring the paintings on the walls unaware of what was in front of him.

He let out a grunt as he bumped into something, more someone. “Sorry…” Vinny apologised as he realised he bumped into someone, his gaze going up as he went to look at the person, Shancai? Why was he up? The prince looked down at Vinny, he was still wearing his full suit of armour and had his spear out.

“Why are you up?” Shancai questioned the cameraman who was just as confused as he was.

“Uh r-right, I’m thirsty…was trying to find some water…” Vinny replied awkwardly as he balanced on his heels, “What about you…?” He added, he wanted an answer, but didn’t make it seem too forceful.

“Just returned from patrol as well as my room being this way…and as for your thirst I can guide you” Shancai replied.

“Thank you” Vinny spoke with full joy, “Patrol? It’s late, are you usually gone this long?” He questioned, as he began following the prince who walked down the hallways.

“Depends…I usually have shorter patrols, but when I found you all it cut it short…and since you mentioned Enji, I wanted to make sure he wasn’t going to attack the kingdom! Shancai answered as he closed his hand tightly on his spear and it disappeared.

“R-right…guess that makes sense, how does your spear…do that?” Vinny questioned once more as he pointed to the princes’ now gone spear.

“Enchanted…my mother said it belonged to my father” Shancai answered, “Unlike my sister, I’m no elemental and unlike my mother I’ve never taken interest in learning magic” he added, Vinny nodded in understanding.

“Did Willow come to find you?” The cameraman questioned.

“Yes…did my mother tell you?” Shancai sighed.

“Sort of…Willow took me to your mother and she just told her to find you” Vinny replied, receiving a nod from the prince.

“Did you and my mother speak? She helped your arm, correct?” Shancai questioned as he went down a shorter hallway into a larger room which seemed to be a large kitchen.

“Yea…we spoke for a while, she’s really nice…” Vinny answered as he watched Shancai grab a glass cup from the cupboard, “I think I fell asleep there and she took me to bed” he added.

“Any reason you slept?” Shancai questioned as he filled the glass cup from a tap, more specifically a filter.

“I opened up a bit…must’ve started crying…” The cameraman sighed as he gave the prince a small smile as he was handed the cup of water.

“Your friends are elementals, correct?” Shancai asked, receiving a nod from Vinny, “Are you not one?” He added.

“Thankfully no…I would never be able to handle that…” the cameraman confessed as he drank the water quickly.

“Then you and I are alike…” Shancai spoke.

“Not really…you seem like really fucking good at fighting and really brave” Vinny replied awkwardly as he filled up his glass again after Shancai allowed him.

“Skills don’t determine one’s alikeness” the prince spoke, “You’re brave for putting yourself in the frontline of death with Enji” he added, that’s what Vinny constantly heard…but it sounded different from everyone…Shancai’s was a praise, Willow’s was a comfort and Deity was lovingly, he loved it all though…

“It’s…just what I need to do…” Vinny sighed.

“You’re in a relationship with one of the, correct?” The prince asked.

“Willow told you?” Vinny chuckled, Shancai nodded, “Your mother asked me the exact same thing…and I’ll give you the same answer, yes I am…the last one that was with me” The cameraman added, pain constantly tainted with his voice.

“I’m not one well with relationships…he worries for you?” The prince asked as he grabbed a spare metal bottle and filled it up from the filter.

“Yea…so does everyone…” Vinny answered, he’s had this conversation like two other times with Willow and Deity.

Shancai just nodded as he closed the metal bottle and handed it to Vinny, he didn’t seem to press on with questions. “Best we off to bed?” The prince spoke, receding a nod from Vinny as he took the bottle.

The two silently walked back to their rooms, before they stopped at the doors. Vinny was relieved they were right next to each other and that Willow was there as well. “You are aware the closest contains clothes?” Shancai questioned as he pointed to Vinnys’ messed up hair and clothes.

“T-they do?” The cameraman spoke, clearly surprised.

“Yes…go have a shower, I can bring you something to cover your cast” Shancai answered.

“Ohhhh thank you thank you” Vinny repeated, “You’re the best…” he added, he was really grateful, Shancai seemed surprised by the comments.

“It’s…no problem…” the prince spoke awkwardly, he didn’t seem used to to praise, but he quickly went in his room and grabbed a plastic bag of some sorts and came back out. “Would you like help putting it on?” He questioned, Vinny nodded happily and Shancai quickly put it on.

“Thank you…” The cameraman sighed once more before going in his room.

“I’ll most likely be awake once you finish, you may come see me if you need anything” Shancai spoke before walking into his room, Vinny waved bye and closed his bedroom door.

He stated towards the closet and opened it, there were different types of clothes, more modest ones for going out, cozy ones and then there were silk pajamas that looked so fucking comfy. Vinny had never worn silk before so when he felt it he immediately was gonna wear it.

As he entered the bathroom he was jaw dropped, it was huge. A large bath and a sheer with a rainfall shower head and a normal one. What else did he expect? It was a kingdom after all. He stripped, making sure to take the dagger out of his pocket and put it on the sink. He then spent the next 5 minutes debating if he should bathe or shower…the bath seemed so fucking comfy….

“Screw it…” Vinny chuckled to himself before turning on the bathtub. He was gonna spoil himself he fucking deserved it, anyone that disagrees is an ass. As the tub slowly filled up, Vinny stared at the different bath salts and oils. When was the next time he was gonna get an opportunity like this? He read the instructions of how much to use of the lavender oil and bath salts and put it in.

He got into the bath and almost let out a soft moan at how relaxing it was. If he ever done this again it probably wouldn’t feel the same…cause hopefully he wouldn’t have fallen out of the sky, had a broken arm, and was being haunted by some man.

Vinny made sure to keep his broken arm out of the water, it was a shame he would’ve loved to have his whole body in the water, but beggars can’t be choosers. He cameraman shut his eyes and inhaled the soft comforting scent of lavender.

He jolted up by knocking against the door, his eyes were droopy, did he fall asleep? “Who is it?!” Vinny called out.

“Shancai…wanted to make sure you didn’t drown” the prince spoke from the other side of the door.

“I’m fine! Thanks for checking!” The cameraman called out.

“May I come in?” Shancai requested, Vinny was weirded out by this request, but sighed.

“Uhh…sure?” The cameraman answered awkwardly as he sat up properly and closed his legs

The door opened and there Shancai stood…he definitely showered as well, he was wearing dark emerald green silk shorts and button shirt. Vinny noticed how much of his vitiligo trailed across his body…but he also noticed other marks, patterned marks that moved all over his body. The patterns were like flowers, but very intricate designs.

“My apologies for the intrusion” the prince spoke, Vinny looked up at him and had to hold back a laugh, he was wearing a bonnet…not that it was bad it was really fucking funny.

“N-no problem” Vinny answered as he stared at the prince.

“You are aware you’ve been in here for an hour and a half” Shancai added.

“W-wait really?” The cameraman answered, he was clearly surprised maybe he did fall asleep in here.

“Yes…your hair’s a mess…” the prince sighed as he grabbed the dagger from the sink, “Would you mind if I cut your hair a little?” He added.

“Uhh…not really? I doubt it can get worse than this…” Vinny replied awkwardly, the prince nodded and came over turning Vinnys’ head to the side as he used the dagger and cut of pieces of hair.

Vinny was nervous, but his hair was an overgrown mess. Before he could think of anything else, Shancai was done, he put the dagger back on the sink, “Finish up…I would let you stay in here longer, but if you fall asleep again I don’t trust you not to drown” the prince spoke as he left and closed the door.

Vinny nodded even though Shancai left, he quickly washed up and got dressed and damn were those pajamas comfy. He looked in the mirror, Shancai did a good job cutting his hair. Vinnys’ body hurt less, his muscles ached less and everything seemed better.

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 67

(With Garmadon, this is after Deity and Vinny spoke)

Garmadon couldn’t get Vinny out of his mind, his concern just etched itself into his mind. He laid on his bed thoughts plaguing his mind as this whole situation grew more bizarre by the day.

Maybe he just needed some fresh air…and that’s what he did. He got up from the bed and left the room, closing the door behind him. The halls were fairly quiet, other than the few occasional chatters of the servants, discussing their guests.

The oni walked down the long hallways, strangely he didn’t receive any weird looks. Back in Ninjago people would stare at Garmadon with fear and disgust…here though, they seemed used to it…it did made sense, Deity, Shancai and Willow had unique appearances not that they were bad.

As he strolled down, he was trying to find his way back to that garden from before, but it was difficult the halls led in all sorts of directions, not that he minded it was nice exploring more of the palace.

He paused as he saw Deity walking by herself down the halls, “Should I approach her…?” He thought to himself, but before he could decide on anything she noticed him and gave him a soft smile before walking over. It was weird…seeing someone taller than him…

“Hello dear, are you looking for something?” Deity spoke softly, Garmadon shook his head, “Ah, so just wandering?” She added, receiving a nod from the oni.

“Just needed some air…I was trying to find the garden” Garmadon spoke.

“Walk with me” She spoke as she began walking, the oni nodded and followed after her, he didn’t know if he should trust her, but she seemed kind so far.

“How are you and your friends faring here?” She asked.

“Well from who I’ve seen” Garmadon spoke, “Mostly surprised by this place” he added, causing Deity to chuckle.

“The kingdom is a bit exotic” She answered, receiving a nod from the oni, “Say, I have a bit of a question…my daughter brought it up before and I was just curious” she added.

“Go ahead” Garmadon replied, he was curious as to what was brought up.

“You and…Vinny, are you close?” She asked.

“I…I thought so…but now…I don’t really know…” He confessed, his voice becoming quieter as he looked at the ground.

“Oh…did you two have something going on?” She questioned, there was hesitation in her voice clearly not wanting to overstep boundaries.

“Yea…” Garmadon sighed, he didn’t know why, but he trusted Deity…everything about her was comforting, “We’re dating…” he reluctantly added.

“Willow was right” She chuckled, receiving a confused look from the oni, “She told me that she thought there was something going on between you two, guess she was right” she added, clarifying it more.

“Is it obvious?” Garmadon questioned.

“A little…but she’s good a spotting things out like that…I spoke to Vinny not long ago” She replied.

“Is he alright…? His arm?” The oni questioned, concern etched on his face.

“His arm’s broken, but I put it in a cast and now he’s sleeping…we spoke for a while” Deity replied, Garmadon let out a shaky sigh of relief, at least Vinnys’ arm was cared for and he was resting.

“Did he eat?” The oni questioned.

“Yes, gave him food while I checked his arm” She answered, this really comforted Garmadon, knowing Vinny was being taken care of.

“Thank you…for taking care of him…he hasn’t been well lately…” Garmadon spoke as they continued walking.

“It’s no problem dear, I noticed he wasn’t well…I’ll make sure to take care of him for you and Willow and Shancai are making sure he’s well as well” Deity answered.

“Is…there any reason for how he’s acting?” Garmadon questioned, he desperately wanted to know what was happening to Vinny.

“I am unsure at the moment…” she lied, “But I’ll tell you if I find out” She added, this was also a lie. She would only tell if Vinny let her.

“Am I…doing something wrong…? At first I didn’t think much of his attitude change…but then he had a stab wound on his hand…he was physically and mentally drained…” Garmadon began speaking as they exited the palace and into the garden.

Deity’s expression softened, “I understand your concern…I’ve seen my fair share of lies in my kids…though I also understand the pain of love…scared of everything that could happen to them…” she spoke softly, “And I’ll speak to you not from my mother side…but the part of me that was the wife to someone long ago…” She added.

“I…” Was all Garmadon could say, no one’s really opened up to him before other than Vinny.

“Seeing someone you love suffer silently is terrible…the best you could do is make sure they don’t die…” Deity spoke softly as she stared out from the staircase onto the garden and saw Willow there laying in the grass.

“Your husband…you lost him?” Garmadon asked hesitantly.

“I…I don’t even know, he just disappeared he’d show up with bruises and one day I went in our room…it was a mess…the window was open and everything had been thrown around…that was 7 months after our kids were born…” she sighed.

“I’m sorry for that…” Garmadon spoke.

“You and Vinny are alike in many ways…” Deity chuckled, Garmadon stared at her curiously, “One day you’ll understand…if you wish to talk you know where to find me” she added before walking back inside the palace leaving Garmadon outside.

The oni stared out into the sky, the Sun retreating beneath it’s covers while the moon slowly awakened, he turned his attention to Willow who was still laying in the grass, looking quite peaceful.

He looked back up at the sky and sighed the wind hitting against his face was comforting…make sure they don’t die…those words rung through Garmadons’ ears, it was smart…Vinny clearly wasn’t going to say anything anytime soon.

The oni rested his head against the railing, hunching his back as he stroked a hand through his hair and groaned, why does everything just get worse…? What was he meant to do? They have a new villain and potential allies here and whatever seemed to be happening was dangerous.

Everyone seemed concerned about Vinny and could you blame them? His mental and physical health declined in the span of like a week, “this idiot…I love him…” Garmadon thought to himself.

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 66

Vinny laid on his bed for a while before there was a knock at the door, “Come in!” He called out before sitting up as the door creaked open, Willow was there.

“Sorry for the intrusion! But, Shanni had to go on patrol again, he told me leave you for a while before coming to get you, so my mum can check on your arm…she also wants to ask a few questions about Rida and Enji” Willow spoke, her voice wasn’t as happy as before, it was clear she felt bad for Vinny.

“Patrol? It’s getting dark though” The cameraman spoke, as he got up from the bed and looked out the window.

“Trust me, I know, but he’s just like that” The nature elemental spoke, as she wrapped on arm around Vinnys’ neck and walked him out of the room closing the door behind her.

“Is…everyone else settled in?” The cameraman questioned.

“Yea, they’re all doing well, can I ask something?” She replied, Vinny nodded in response. “Y’know the tall one? Garmadon was his name? Are you and him dating?” Willow questioned.

Vinny blushed, “I-I uhh, where’d you get that idea from?” He asked awkwardly as he looked away.

“Aww! You are! That’s cute, but did you two have a fight?” She questioned once more.

“I…yea…my attitude started changing after I met Enji…he noticed and constantly asked me questions and then we had a small fight…” The cameraman replied, his voice hinted with sadness.

“Oh…” She spoke, “Hey, don’t worry! We’re gonna help fix this” She spoke as she tried to comfort him.

“How…? I’ve constantly lied…and hell I’m the reason we’re here!” Vinny replied, Willow turned her head to the side curiously.

“How exactly did you get here?” The nature elemental questioned.

“Yesterday, Rida accidentally left an enchanted mirror shard, when Enji came to me, I asked him about it. He said it was faulty and didn’t work properly and then this morning I was looking at it and then the ground warped and we ended up here…” Vinny sighed.

“Oh wow…you’ve got it bad…my mum’s knows more about enchanted objects then me, be sure to ask her anything you’re curious about” Willow spoke as they stopped outside a room.

“Yea I will…and, can you tell me where you’ll be…I might wanna come find you after” Vinny spoke, she smiled to him.

“I’ll probably be in the garden, it’s just down that way down the stairs” she answered happily, as she opened the rooms’ door and waved to Deity who was on the ground.

Vinny nodded in response before walking in, “Willow, if you’re brother’s not back in an hour go get him for me” Deity spoke softly, Willow nodded in response before closing the door and leaving.

Deity patted the floor, signalling Vinny to come and sit next to her. The cameraman did as he was signalled and sat down, “She told you why I needed to see you?” She questioned, Vinny nodded in response.

She held out her hand, silently asking for permission to see Vinny’ arm. The cameraman carefully extended his arm to her, wincing as he did, he couldn’t really straighten it. Deity gently took off the makeshift jacket arm sling and put the jacket to the side.

“It’s swollen…” She spoke softly as she gently squeezed the swollen arm, Vinny nodded in response, “Here…” she added as she handed a plate of food to him.

“N-no I’m not hungry really” The cameraman spoke, he was lying he was really hungry, but it was just how he reacted he politely rejected.

“I have kids, I can tell when they’re hungry” she chuckled as she offered the plate once more, this time Vinny took it.

“T-thank you” The cameraman sighed, as he rested the plate on his lap and ate with one hand while the other one was observed. It tasted delicious, probably, because he hasn’t eaten all day, but it was still delicious.

Deity moved his arm in a certain way that made him wince, “Sorry” she apologised, with slight guilt, Vinny gave her a soft smile in return.

“It’s broken…” She spoke.

“You can tell just by looking at it?” He asked curiously.

“I have a unique ray of abilities alongside my magic” She chuckled before she began putting something on his arm, most likely a cast.

“Can I ask some questions dear?” She asked softly, Vinny nodded.

“Willow told me…that Enji took a chest and key, can you describe it for me?” Deity questioned,

“Yea…it was a small chest, armoured too, it had a flower design? Like the kingdoms’ one and some did the key” Vinny replied, causing Deity’s breathe to hitch. “Is something wrong?” He asked worriedly.

“That chest is hidden for a reason…” Deity sighed, stress evident on her face.

“Is it dangerous?” Vinny questioned.

“Not to others…but to the kingdom yes” She replied, the cameraman looked at her with confusion evident on his face. “You can’t tell anyone till I’m cause what it is…” she added, Vinny nodded.

“I swear I won’t tell anyone” He spoke.

“Good…the kingdom’s life force is in it…if that force is destroyed then so is the kingdom…” Deity spoke, her voice dropping to a whisper just as loud as Vinny could hear.

“O-oh…” the cameraman spoke, his eyes widening, “What could they want with it…?”

“Just Rida…He’s been trying to destroy the kingdom for years…” she replied, “Though unlocking the chest is interesting…”

“How?” He questioned.

“Rida already knows how…but you need the family blood…mine, my kids and…” she voice abruptly stopped as her expression saddened, “and…my husband…” she eventually continued.

Vinnys’ expression softened, he hadn’t heard any mentions of her husband before, Willow and Shancai never mentioned their father before either. “Your husband…is he-?” The cameraman hesitantly asked, but didn’t finish the sentence.

“I…I don’t know…my kids don’t know him…” Deity confessed as her voice broke.

“Was he…nice?” Vinny questioned.

“Nice…he was more that nice…he was an angel, I loved him…” she spoke quietly, Vinny put a comforting hand on her shoulder.

“What was he like…?” He asked as he relaxed next to her, wanting her to become more comfortable.

“He was brave…a lot like Shancai…except, he was more lively…Shancai got his vitiligo from him…” She spoke, she seemed to love her husband a lot.

“He sounds nice…” Vinny spoke.

“Enough about me…what about you and your friends? What are they like?” Deity questioned, seemingly wanting to get her mind off her husband.

“They’re nice and outgoing, brave too…I wish I could tell them about all this…” Vinny sighed.

“I understand dear…I keep secrets from my kids…ones that would possibly ruin our relationship…though yours is a different case…they’ll probably find out eventually…” She spoke.

“I-I know…but I c-can’t not yet…I don’t want them getting h-hurt…Enji…he always threatens them, and it’s k-killing me…” Vinny whimpered as his voice broke, Deity’s expression softened as he pulled Vinny into a hug.

“I know dear…I know…” she spoke in a comforting tone as she affectionately rubbed Vinnys’ back…her touch was motherly…

“I-I…wanna keep them safe…but it’s ruining me…” He whimpered as he held onto her tightly.

“And it would’ve kept ruining you if you were alone…” She spoke, as she stroked his hair, “You have me, Shancai and Willow…you don’t have to keep secrets…we won’t let anyone do anything to you or your friends…” she added, her voice was so comforting…she didn’t sound like there was a double secret in her words like Rida…

His tears began to stream down his cheeks as he began to cry, he was a broken man…his sanity slowly deteriorating away the more he saw Enji…

“You’re tired…rest dear…” she comforted him, letting him let our choked sobs before his eyes drooped down and he passed out.

She sighed softly, “Rest now…you deserve it…” she whispered as she stood up and picked him up, taking him to his room and gently putting him on the bed.

“You remind me of my kids….” She whispered to herself as he looked down at him before leaving and closing the door.

As they walked and walked they eventually followed the nice pathway, “How far is it?” Pixal questioned.

“Just down this path, then we’re in the palace gardens” Willow replied happily as she walked down, vines that protected pathway were retreated by Willow as she kept walking.

As the pathway came to an end they found themselves in an large open area, bushes nicely trimmed into stars, roses, violets and all types of flowers were bloomed around.

Their attention was stolen from the garden as a staircase led up to presumably the entrance to the palace. “Is this the kingdom?” Wu asked, receiving a nod from Willow as he went up the staircase followed by the others.

“Fascinating” Zane spoke as he stared at the interior, they continued to walk, but stopped when they saw a wall, with colourful glass mosaic art, Willow realised they stopped and looked back at them.

“Something wrong?” She questioned.

“Who’s in this?” Wu asked.

“That’s my mum, me and my brother…it’s old” Willow replied, as a small smile appeared on her face as she looked at the mosaic. It was a woman holding two babies.

“It’s nice” Garmadon spoke as he looked at it, before they began walking again.

“It is” Willow replied, joy tainting her voice as she went down a hallway.

She entered a room and was a bit surprised when she saw her mother and brother with a bunch of other people in the room. “Are these your friends?” Willow asked, receiving nods from Zane and Wu. The ninja let out a sigh of relief as they saw Wu and the others enter.

They all bunched together Vinny stayed next to Shancai, “Introductions would be nice, I’ll start I’m Willow” Willow spoke.

“Oh right! I’m Lloyd that’s Kai, Jay, Nya, Cole, and Vinny” Lloyd spoke to Willow as he pointed to each of them, before turning to Shancai. “That’s Garmadon, my dad, Master Wu, my uncle and Zane and Pixal” he added, receiving a nod.

“This is Shancai, my brother I was telling you about” Willow spoke to Wu and the others she was with, they nodded as they studied Shancai’s unique appearance before Garmadons’ eyes landed on Vinnys’ arm and his eyes widened.

“And this is our mother” the nature elemental spoke happily as she pointed to her mother on the ground who gave them a soft smile.

“What happened to his arm?” Garmadon questioned Lloyd quietly, discreetly pointing to Vinnys’ arm.

“We fell out from the sky” Lloyd replied bluntly, receiving a worried look from his father. “It isn’t bothering that much, he might’ve fractured it” he added, receiving a nod and sigh from the oni.

“An explanation would be nice…” Deity spoke, her voice soft and sweet like honey as she stood up from the ground, the scrolls scattered around immediately rolling up and being placed neatly on a shelf.

Their jaws dropped…she was tall…taller than Riad taller than fucking Garmadon. She would be shorter than Garmadon with 4 arms though, but she was still tall…everyone was surprised other than Willow and Shancai, seemingly used to their mothers’ height.

“You’re tall…” Jay spoke bluntly, causing Deity to chuckle slightly. No one could really protest with his statement. She was at least 6’8 to 7’0.

“I get that quite a lot” Deity spoke softly before she settled down on a large flower, Willow formed behind her. “Now then…what can I do for you?” She questioned.

“I-uhh right…” Lloyd spoke as he stuttered out a bunch o incoherent words, trying to recover from this.

“They need help getting back home” Shancai spoke, Lloyd just nodded a little relieved he didn’t have to handle the embarrassment of stuttering more.

“Where is this home?” Deity questioned.

“Ninjago, you’re highness” Nya spoke, she didn’t know what to call Deity, she was the empress after all.

“Please call me Deity dears…Ninjago you say…I’ve been there before, though at the moment my magic ability is a little limited at the moment, I can get you home just not yet” Deity spoke.

“We don’t wish to strain your abilities” Wu spoke, receiving a soft smile from Deity.

“It might take me a week or so” Deity spoke.

“That’s alright, we’re just thankful for your aid” Wu spoke, his voice relieved they were able to get back home.

“In your time being here, you’ll be treated as guests, any questions you have, you are free to ask” Deity spoke.

“W-we wouldn’t want to intrude” Vinny spoke up, receiving a sigh from Shancai.

“Not necessarily intruding anymore, if you’re considered guests” Shancai spoke.

“Well then it’s settled, Shancai and Willow can show you to your rooms, and if you’re hungry you may ask anyone here, they’ll assist you” Deity spoke.

The group thanked her and they were sent off with the siblings to be taken to their rooms. Vinny was practically stuck to Shancais’ side, there was something comforting about him. Sure he looked cold and intimidating, but he seemed to know about Enji and Rida and despised them.

“Soooo, is Shancai older?” Kai asked.

“Hah! Nope, we’re twins and I’m a minute older!” Willow boasted smugly, Shancai rolled his eyes.

“Older than me, but still act like a child” Shancai spoke, it was clear who was more mature.

“If you’re mother’s that tall why aren’t you?” Jay asked Willow.

“I-I’m not that short!” Willow defended herself, as her face flushed in embarrassment.

“Yes you are” Shancai muttered as he kept walking, Willow just pouted.

One by one, they were given rooms, now it was just Vinny and Garmadon that needed one.

“You okay…?” Garmadon asked Vinny.

“Yea…” the cameraman replied, Willow and Shancai let the two walk as they went ahead.

“There’s something going on between them” Willow whispered to Shancai.

“They’re just talking?” Shancai spoke with confusion.

“My love meter is tingling, they’re definitely dating” the nature elemental spoke once more, causing her brother to sigh.

Garmadon and Vinny asked each other a bunch of questions, making sure they were safe and unharmed.

“Do you two want to share a room?” Willow eventually asked the two, causing Shancai to rub his temples in annoyance.

“N-no thanks…” Vinny spoke as he looked away awkwardly.

“We’d prefer to be separated” Garmadon added, receiving a nod from the two siblings.

Eventually Garmadon was given a room, “I’m staying for the night, the Grove can last one night without me” Willow spoke.

“Mother would be happy to hear that” Shancai spoke, “Now then, I would like a truthful answer from you” he added as he looked a Vinny, the cameraman took a sharp breathe.

“Did I miss something?” Willow asked with confusion.

“He has Enjis’ dagger for some reason” Shancai replied plainly.

“Really? How’d you get that buddy?” Willow asked worriedly.

“I won’t inform your friends, but I could recognise that dagger in a row of a thousand copies” Shancai spoke.

“Geez, bragging much” Willow spoke, “But really bud, how’d you get it?” She asked, Vinny was really nervous.

“We’re not working with them, quite the opposite” Shancai spoke, causing the cameraman to look at him curiously.

“Enji and Rida are the kingdoms number 1 enemies…more specifically Enji, he attacks most, Rida plans” Willow sighed, and Shancai nodded to confirm it.

“Listen…whatever they want with clearly will affect the kingdom in some way…we just need you to tell us anything they do” Shancai spoke, as he put a comforting hand on Vinnys’ shoulder.

“I…they both showed up one night…Rida was messing with my dreams, I went to the bathroom and Enji, he used some illusions to transform into me and haunt me in the mirror, one time he stabbed my hand and foot and he keeps threatening on hurting my friends” Vinny confessed, slightly hysterical.

“They play mind games on you…have they done anything else?” Shancai asked, Willow had a worried expression.

“Y-yea…yesterday, Enji went on a mission, he got some chest from there, though Lloyd and the others got a key from there…” Vinny replied, “And well…he came to me at night and made me get the key for him…” He added, guilt in his voice.

“A chest? I can ask mum if she knows anything about that” Willow spoke.

“Strange…those two have never involved themselves with others unless they didn’t have a plan…Enji would, but not Rida, he’s too cautious” Shancai spoke.

“That day as well, I went out and stayed alone, Rida hanged out with me saying how Enji was getting something that was rightfully his…” Vinny added.

“Wow, this is weird…they definitely are planning something…” Willow sighed receiving a nod from her brother.

“Enjoy stabbed you with the dagger?” Shancai questioned.

“Yea, then another time he was about to hurt me again, but Rida came, he helped me bandage my hand then gave me the dagger” Vinny replied.

“Willow, go tell mother…” Shancai spoke, Willow nodded and ran off, “If there’s anything else I should know then tell me” he added as he looked at Vinny bending his knees to be closer to Vinnys’ height.

“I-I will…I swear…” The cameraman replied, his voice breaking.

Shancai opened a bedroom door for Vinny letting him look in it, his voice hitched as he looked at the mirror, “He can’t get in through the mirrors, I made sure of it” Shancai spoke, causing Vinny to let out a breathe he didn’t even know he was holding.

“My room’s next to yours and Willow’s next to mine…if anything happens come to us or my mother” the prince spoke, Vinny just nodded and watched Shancai walk away.

The cameraman sighed and went in the room, closing the door behind him before dropping on the bed.

Was he meant to trust these people…?

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 64

They all just followed Willow, she occasionally brought down tree branches and ate fruit from them. Her was a white and silver like colour with black tips.

“The Ivory Kingdom has never been mentioned in any of my scrolls, it sounds a lot like Shintaro” Wu spoke, as he broke the deafening silence.

“Shintaro? I think I’ve heard that before…but the Ivory Kingdom’s is in it:s own secluded area, my mum’s said it’s been a secret place for years” Willow replied as she looked back at them.

“Your mother…she sounds like an important woman, and you said she could get us back, does she possess of any powers?” Garmadon questioned, he did seem quite curious about this place.

“She’s amazing! Power wise she does magic, and it’s where me and my brother got our eyes and the mark” Willow replied happily, she seemed to love her mother a lot.

“Magic? Dark magic?” Zane questioned.

“No silly! Normal magic, she doesn’t do anything bad unless it’s for a good reason” Willow laughed.

“What’s her and your brother’s name?” Pixal questioned.

“My brother’s Shancai while my mum is Deity” The nature elemental replied as they all continued walking.

Wu and Garmadon were exchanging thoughts through their expressions, still silently talking about the magic part.

A shiver ran down their back as they passed a darker area of the forest…vines blocking the entrance…dead shrubs and trees while a repulsive smell caused slight nausea. It was like night and day between the sides…the lush and lively side compared to the dark, and rotten side.

“What’s…there?” Wu hesitantly asked as he pointed to the area, Willow’s expression hardened as she stopped walking and stared into the dark side. Vines began to cover more of the entrance as she let out a shaky breathe. The change in her behaviour created uneasiness in the others.

“That…is where my enemy lives…” Willow eventually replied, her lively and friendly expression gone replaced with a cold, and fearful expression.

“Your enemy? What’s this enemy like?” Garmadon questioned.

“A snake…part anacondrai and hypnobrai…but she’s blind so can’t really use hypnotism” Willow confessed, her voice feigned with malice and annoyance for this snake.

The rest of the group looked surprised, anacondrai and hypnobrai…that’s a dangerous combo…”This snake…is there anything else important about her?” Zane spoke.

“She has the voice of a siren…listening to it is basically just as worse as a hypnobrai…” She grumbled, “Blind as a bat…her name’s Rushifa…”

“She sounds…interesting…” Pixal spoke.

“But don’t worry! All you have to do is stay out of that area and cover your ears if you here singing…she will eat you” Willow spoke a little awkwardly.

“She doesn’t come out from there?” Wu questioned.

“Not really…she stays in the forest that’s for sure, but there’s idiots so she gets a free meal…” Willow spoke before she began walking again, expecting the others to follow. The others did follow and quite quickly as well.

“I don’t know how I feel about this place…” Garmadon whispered to Wu.

“Me neither…on one hand it seems nice and then there’s places like that…” Wu responded.

“Let’s just hope the others landed somewhere safer than us…” the oni sighed as he thought about Vinny.

“Agreed…I’m sure Vinny’s safe, the others have taken quite a liking to him” Wu spoke in an attempt to comfort his brother. It was true though, the ninja really did like Vinny, who could blame them?

(With Vinny and the rest of the Ninja)

As Vinny trudged next to Shancai, occasionally looking back at the others, who were staring at him worriedly wanting to pull him away from the man, but didn’t. Shancai seemed like a strong person, one that they didn’t know the full potential of yet.

“I’ll have a look at your arm at the palace” Shancai spoke to Vinny, there was no emotion in it, he seemed good at remaining stoic. The cameraman just nodded, he seemed a little relieved to have his arm taken care of.

“Lloyd tell me you have a bad feeling about this guy…because if you had a bad feeling about Vania and not him then there’s something up with you” Cole shouted in a whispered.

“Geez okay, I really don’t like him…” Lloyd confessed quietly.

“He scares me…” Jay whispered.

“He looks…very unique…in a good way” Nya spoke, “But what does he want with Vinny?” She added.

“How are we meant to know? Vinny happens to have the worst luck ever…” Kai sighed, looking at the cameraman with sympathy.

“Which is sad cause he’s a great guy…” Cole chimed in, receiving nods from the others.

They continued walking down a path before entering two large gates…made out of an interesting stone. “Woah…” Vinny spoke quietly as he stared at the gates that towered over them.

A man looked over the gates, “You’re back early Shancai!” The man spoke from above as the gates began to open.

“There’s some people that need to see my mother” Shancai plainly replied as he walked through the gates followed by the others.

“Must be important if you decided to accompany them” Another man spoke from above the gates as well, Shancai just nodded before he continued walking.

They walked through an area which seemed to be the slums, young kids and elderly people waved towards Shancai, and he gave them a warm smile and nod, the only emotion he seemed to show so far.

“So he can show emotion…” Jay muttered, receiving a gentle hit on the head from Nya.

Vinny seemed surprised as they walked through most likely the markets, stalls upon stalls stood next to each other as people held out their merchandise while buyers attempted to bargain with the owners.

Everyone seemed to have some jewels with them, whether it be diamonds, emeralds, sapphires or rubies, everyone in the market seemed to have one…though there was something that was used to buy merchandise…is was a red gem…not quite a ruby. But it was a currency, and it seemed familiar reminding Vinny of the gems on Shancais’ spear.

The cameraman was a bit surprised as he bumped into Shancai’s arm which was in front of him, stopping him from walking. Vinny was going to question him before he saw a bunch of kids run by with what seemed to be a new kite.

“This place is amazing…” Cole spoke happily as he laid his eyes on a food stall, only then did he realise how fucking hungry he was, so did the others. Especially Vinny, he regretted skipping breakfast this morning.

“Once we get to the palace and inform my mother of your predicament, I’ll have some food prepared” Shancai spoke as he continued walking.

“A-are you sure? We couldn’t possibly, it’s nice enough you’re helping us” Lloyd spoke, as Cole, Jay and Kai glared at him, they really didn’t want Lloyd ruin their chances of food.

“It isn’t necessarily a problem” Shancai spoke, “I am unaware if my mother can even help you get back, though the palace would be open for you all to rest” he added.

“T-thanks…” They all spoke.

Shancai reached a palace…and hell was it pretty…large black tinted windows occasionally placed, multiple guards protecting the place and as they entered long hallways, with white and red curtains draped across the windows while the same colour palette for the carpets. Rooms upon rooms, as what seemed like servants chattered happily as they worked.

“This place is huge…” Kai spoke in amazement, his voice echoing in the halls.

Vinny was just as amazed and occasionally looked up at Shancai, he would sometimes receive a nod of acknowledgment before his eyes flicked back down to Vinnys’ arm.

“Does it hurt?” Shancai questioned Vinny as they walked.

“A little…only when I move it, I can’t really straighten it without pain…” The cameraman responded.

“Most likely a fracture then, keep it still just incase, if it snaps then it’ll be much worse” Shancai responded, receiving a nod from Vinny.

As they entered a room…a woman…sitting on the ground…scrolls thrown across the floor as she read over things. She was quite beautiful…floor long white hair that flowed down before fading away at the ends, black scleras and silver irises just like her son, she had the Yang sign on her right cheek, while she worse a robe with clouds and stars on the end of it as her hair covered her body.

“Mother…”Shancai spoke softly, affection and worry tainting his voice as he bowed down.

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 63

They all walked through the forest, Vinny avoiding eye contact with everyone. The guilt he felt knowing he was the reason they were all was overbearing, to him he deserved whatever happened to his arm.

Kai seemed to notice the cameraman who was trapped in thought and walked next to him, wrapping an arm around his shoulder. “You look blue buddy, what’s on your mind?” He questioned.

“Of course he’s upset Kai, his arm’s probably broken” Jay spoke, as he rolled his eyes.

“Shut up Jay” The fire ninja replied bluntly. It was a normal response to Jay, he would randomly tell Jay to shut up even when he wasn’t talking.

“Enough you two” Nya sighed as she watched her lover and brother squabble like toddlers.

“Alright alright…back to the questions, is anything on your mind?” Kai as Vinny who was looking away, avoiding eye contact.

“I…not really…just worried about the others…” Vinny spoke timidly as he looked at the ground, it wasn’t really a lie, he was concerned for the others, but he was mad at himself for being an idiot.

“They’re strong, if we managed to be safe this long, they’ll be perfectly fine” Lloyd spoke, “They have most of the brains of our group, other than Nya” he added, causing the water ninja to smile at the compliment.

“We can be smart” Cole spoke, Jay and Kai nodded in agreement.

“Sure you can” Nya spoke sarcastically as she rolled his eyes, causing Vinny to chuckle softly.

“When we get back we’re playing video games…” Jay spoke.

“Definitely” Cole and Kai spoke in unison.

“I still need to reorganise my side of the room” Nya groaned, causing Jay to snicker.

“Should’ve got it done when I did” The lightning ninja teased, receiving a glare from Nya.

“I swear whoever that guy from yesterday was in already a p-“ Kai was cut off as a spear flew by his face, narrowly missing him.

“What the…?” Vinny muttered as he and the others turned around to the spear which was lodged in a tree. Before they could say anything, there was two bangs on the ground that sounded like metal, and the spear exploded.

The cameraman stumbled back and fell onto the ground, his dagger falling out of his pocket, down next to him. The others managed to stay standing. Lloyd crouched near Vinny, holding his arm to help him stand up.

“Who’s there!?” Cole shouted as he banged his fists together, triggering his earth punch. Kai formed a fireball while Jay and Nya pulled out their swords.

As Lloyd began helping Vinny up, he was cut off by a harsh kick to his chest as he was knocked back into Nya, she thankfully caught him and lessened the impact. The cameraman stared back at Lloyd worriedly, but was given a thumbs up from in for comfort.

Vinny looked back in front of him, he took a sharp breathe as he felt cold metal pressed against his neck. It was a spear, which led up to a man…a cold, emotionless expression on his face…

The man was intimidating…black scleras with silver irises that pierced anyones soul just by looking at him, in this case…Vinnys’ soul…scars across his face…not as much as Rida though…a yin sign on his left cheek,…two different skin tones…vitiligo…as well as floor long, fluffy black hair that was tied up in a single bubble braid.

He wore balloon harem pants, with a short waist cloth, armour that looked like it weighed a ton, hardly any of his body shown other than his face. His armour had a flower like insignia which no doubt held some meaning. The spear had some gems scattered across it’s handle as well as the armour. His appearance was interesting…his most striking features, his hair, eyes and vitiligo…

Vinnys’ trembled as the blade of the spear was kept against his neck, he gulped, his adam apple bobbing as he done so. He noticed the mans’ eyes flick down to the dagger which was laid across the ground, a flick of recognition was no doubt in the mans’ expression, before his expression darkened.

“Where’s the dagger from?” The man spoke, it wasn’t a choice to answer he had to. The ninja watched from behind, Nya working up the courage to walk over and crouch next to Vinny knocking the mans’ spear away from his neck.

“He doesn’t have to answer you” the water ninja hissed as she grabbed the dagger from the ground and gave it to Vinny.

“N-Nya it’s fine, honestly…” the cameraman replied a little touched at the care from Nya, considering they’ve only been close friends for a few days, “I-I brought it from somewhere…” Vinny replied to the mans’ question, it was a lie, but it was what everyone believed.

The mans’ eyes sharpened as he grabbed Vinny by the collar of his shirt and pulled him up, “Lying won’t do you any good” He spoke, his voice hid no malice, no threats…no emotion and neither did his expression.

“What would you know?” Kai hissed from the back, clearly ready to fight whenever anything bad happened, the man just ignored Kai.

“I-I’m not lying…” Vinny spoke, his voice was shaking, did the man know Rida and Enji? Did he work with them? Was all that was going through his mind, he couldn’t deal with another like Enji. He looked up at the man, his expression begging for him to stop with the questions, he didn’t want the others finding out he lied.

The mans’ monotone expression faded for a second into realisation, before he sighed and let go of Vinny, and backing away. When this happened the others immediately bunched together. The cameraman let out a shaky breathe one he didn’t know he was holding once he was let go.

“Who are you?” Lloyd questioned,

“Shancai, prince and sworn protector of the Ivory Kingdom” the man spoke before he helped Vinny get up from the ground.

“Hah…that’s nice, but why’d you feel the need to attack us!?” Jay questioned, his rage not well hidden.

“You aren’t from here, technically trespassers” the man spoke bluntly, as he closed his hand around the spear and it disappeared into thin air.

“Ok cool, so where are we?” Kai questioned, as he rubbed his temples.

“As of now, Ivory Kingdom, if you were further into the forest would be the Grove where my sister protects” Shancai spoke as he dragged Vinny to follow him, making sure not to hurt his arm.

“Where are you taking us?” Lloyd asked.

“My mother, she can most likely take you back to wherever you’re from” Shancai replied as he continued walking, he kept Vinny close, glancing at him every now and then, the cameraman stuffed the dagger into his pocket.

“You’re helping us?” Cole asked.

“For now…if I find out you’ve caused trouble in your time of being here I won’t hesitate to change my mind” Shancai replied, as he gave the others a glare.

They continued walking, “I expect a truthful answer when we’re alone…” Shancai whispered quietly to Vinny causing him to take a sharp breathe and nod slightly.

This man definitely knew who Enji and Rida were…Vinny could only hope this man wasn’t working with them…

(I UNDERSTAND VINNY AND SHANCAI HAD A ROUGH MEETING BUT TRUST ME!!! IT WILL GET BETTER IT WILL GET BETTER!!! Also I love Shancai more than all my ocs…he’s so pretty🥺)

When the ground warped beneath them and they fell through, Garmadon was quick to act and almost immediately transformed into his oni form, with the fours arms. He flew and caught Pixal, Zane and Wu.

They were lowered to the ground and he dropped them there before looking around, “Thank you brother” Wu sighed as he dusted himself off, the oni was given a nod of gratitude from both the nindroids.

“Where are we?” Pixal questioned as she stared at ether surroundings, overgrown plants everywhere, no mountains insight like Vinny and the others, not that they would know. Large flowers, and trees stretched on for miles.

“Bigger question is how did we get here and where are the others?”Garmadon spoke, he noticed intricate markings on the trees, they looked like flowers and had definitely been carved there.

“They must’ve landed somewhere else, as for where we are is unlike anything I’ve seen before” Zane spoke as he turned his attention to the markings on the tree.

“Shall we search around?” Wu suggested and the others nodded in agreement.

“It would be wise that we stay together” Pixal spoke.

“Agreed, there’s only 4 of us, who knows what lurks through this forest” Garmadon spoke, they nodded and began walking one way. Garmadon stayed in the front leading them, it was definitely safer that way, he was stronger than them.

They walked for ages till coming across, what seemed like a living space. Large flowers were placed around like couches, and vines lead up to trees while hollow trees had vine beds.

“Someone comes here often” Zane spoke.

“Then we be on guard” the oni spoke as he stared at the same flower like insignia on the ground. As they observed their surroundings, Pixal jumped slightly as vines began wrapping around her legs.

“I fear that someone is here” she spoke as she attempted to shake the vine off her, Zane however used his sword and cut it.

Garmadons’ ears twitched as he heard rustling from above in the trees. “Don’t let your guard down…those vines can come from anywhere” Wu spoke, as everyones attention darted towards the noise.

More vines wrapped around Zane and Pixal stringing them up, while it began going after Wu. Garmadon attempted to fend the vines off, but was strung up as well.

Once they were all strung up, a large flower came down as it opened, a person came out? She looked interested, as the vines on them loosened.

They were shocked…her appearance…black scleras with a dark emerald irises, she had a yang sign on her right cheek and she had elf like ears with tons of piercings. She had her hair in two twin buns and some of it out, while she wore a black body suit with low rise jean shorts, she seemed quite short too and was a little on the chubby side.

She smiled to them, “Hi! Nice to meet you, I’m Willow!” She spoke energetically as she lowered them from the vines.

“H-hello?” Zane spoke awkwardly as they all dusted themselves off.

“Sorry sorry, that was such a bad introduction! I’ve never seen you all around here and definitely not in the kingdom, maybe my brother did, I’ll ask him later” She spoke really fast, only Pixal and Zane could understand.

“What’s your names?” She questioned.

“I’m Zane, this is Pixal, that’s Master Wu and this is Garmadon” Zane introduced everyone.

“How’d you all get here?” Willow questioned as she lifted up Pixal arms curiously, she clearly was intrigued by, as of everyone that saw the two nindroids.

“We are unsure, can you tell us where we are?” Wu spoke.

“This whole forest is called Grove, while the kingdom is well the Ivory Kingdom” She replied as she laid back on one of the flower seats, sinking into it.

“Ivory Kingdom? I’ve never heard of something like that” Wu spoke, Garmadon nodded in agreement.

“If I may ask, how do you do that?” Pixal questioned, signalling to her ability of controlling plants.

Willow smiled and chuckled, “Elemental of nature!” She spoke happily as she used fines to push all of them onto the flower seats, it was fairly comfortable.

“Elemental? When did you discover this?” Garmadon questioned, as he sat up properly on the seats.

“Around…” she counted on her fingers, “Seven years ago!” She spoke.

“You mentioned you have a brother…is he an elemental?” Zane questioned, she shook her head.

“This…Ivory Kingdom…what’s it like?” Garmadon spoke.

“Really nice, I don’t spend a lot of time there, but I got there occasionally, my brother on the other hand stays there a lot! He’s sworn protector of the kingdom, and well since my mum’s the empress we don’t have much responsibility, but I protect the forest” She spoke, it was clear she tired slowing her speaking down a little.

“So you’re the princess?” Zane questioned, she nodded. She seemed laid back, but also very aware at the same time. Anytime there was a noise from the distance she would react quickly.

“Is is just you four here?” She questioned as a tree branch lowered near them and she grabbed an apple, “Want one?” She asked, but they all shook their heads.

“As far as we know, the rest of our friends are probably lost in the forest as well” Pixal spoke.

“How many?” Willow asked.

“Six” Garmadon spoke, the worry he had for Vinny at the moment was overwhelming, but he tried his best to hide it.

“I can search around the forest, but if they were lost in the kingdom then they might’ve met my brother…” She spoke, slight worry in her voice.

“Is something wrong with your brother?” Wu questioned.

“Not really…but he takes protecting the kingdom seriously and if there’s people he doesn’t recognise…cause trust me he knows everyone in that kingdom, and if he finds your friends he’ll see them as trespassers” Willow spoke as she got up and stretched.

“Is there any chance you can take us to the kingdom?” Wu asked.

“Yep! My mum can probably get you back to where you’re from” Willow spoke, the others stood up.

“Thank you” They all thanked her, she gave them a friendly smile and began walking one way, they realised she wasn’t wearing shoes.

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 61

Vinny turned his attention to the door as Pixal walked out, Zane quickly noticed her, “Is something wrong?” The ice ninja asked, as everyone came around,

“Sadly yes…the key from yesterday is missing, I’ve checked the cameras and the man you all met as well as a masked accomplice were on it” The female nindroid spoke, Vinnys’ eyes widened hearing that, they were bound to find our eventually, but it still scared him.

He did feel some relief when Pixal said to was a masked accomplice, that meant Enjis’ illusion worked. “How’d they get in? The scanner only has a few people registered” Nya spoke as worry creeped on her face.

“I am unsure…perhaps a mask or some sort” Pixal replied.

“Well this is great…we have to deal with that guy and someone else” Kai groaned before receiving a comforting pat on the back from Cole. The cameraman felt terrible, but he constantly reminded himself this was to protect them.

“Did the cameras show anything else?” Wu questioned, the others looked at Pixal, curiously.

“Yes, the man seemed to have vanished after he used a mirror of some sort” She spoke, causing everyone except Vinny to turn their heads in confusion.

“A mirror? Most likely enchanted then” Garmadon spoke, hearing this made Vinny take a sharp breathe. He knew the others were smart, but he didn’t want them to guess it so accurately.

“That would make sense” Pixal replied.

“What time was it when it happened?” Vinny questioned, he needed to ask questions, would be less suspicious that way.

“Around 2:30” The female nindroid replied.

“I got up for water around that time…didn’t see anyone” Lloyd spoke, catching the attention of the others.

“Perhaps they hid” Zane spoke, receiving nods from the others.

“This sucks…” Jay groaned in annoyance.

“Agreed…as much as I enjoy battles, this is too much, that chest and key seem pretty dangerous” Cole added.

“Pixal, is there any chance you could track the energy signal of the chest again?” Wu asked.

“I have already started that, though the odds of finding it again are low” The female nindroid reply.

“I say we train…nest time we see that guy we can defend ourselves better” Kai spoke as he formed a fireball in his hand. Wu nodded and pointed the ninja to the training course, they all went back to training except Lloyd, he sat next to Vinny.

The cameraman let out a shaky breathe he didn’t even know he was holding, when he saw the others leave. Though anxiety returned when Lloyd sat next to him.

“This is a bit crazy, eh?” Lloyd spoke as he leaned back, Vinny just nodded. “Man…this guy’s annoying me…” he added.

“Agreed…causing problems for everyone…” The cameraman replied.

“I’ll go train a little then come back, alright?” Lloyd asked, receiving a nod from Vinny.

The cameraman was left alone again, he reluctantly took the wrapped mirror shard out of his pocket and observed it again. He made sure Wu and Garmadon weren’t looking, they seemed more focused on criticising the ninjas fighting ability and seeing what they could work on.

He continued to stare at the shard, turning it to stare at its sides, it was definitely broken off something due to its sharp and jagged edges. Though it did have a nice colour tone to it, a extremely light orange and red with a sort of metallic finish.

He took a shaky breathe as it began to warp again, the orange and red becoming darker as it spun around instead turning to a blue and purplish colour. He was curious as to what would happen, when it happened last time he dropped it on the ground and it went back to normal.

The warping continued before it zapped Vinny slightly causing him to drop it in the ground…but when he did…it didn’t stop like last time, it kept going causing Vinny to throw the cloth on it to try and hide it.

To the cameramans’ surprise…the ground beneath everyone turned the same purple and blue colour…“What the fuck!?” Kai shouted as he stared at the ground, everyone was confused and slightly terrified, Vinny was freaking out. If the others found out this was his fault he was fucked.

Without warning…they fell through…they all shouted as they fell from the sky…Garmadon, Wu, Zane and Pixal weren’t there…but they did fall through…that was the least of his worries as they free fell from the sky, Nya managed to hold onto a tree branch before she plummeted towards the ground.

She caught Jay’s hand and held him up, while Cole formed a rock ledge beneath him and Kai…Lloyd on the other hand got it easy and just landed in a bunch of vines.

Vinny however was not so lucky…he wasn’t close to the others so he just fell…and fell and fell…hitting against tree branches as he groaned and winced in pain, before he got stuck in some vines.

“Holy fuck! Vinny are you alright!?” Cole called out from above as he stared down from the rock ledge at where Vinny fell. The others were just as worried as Nya pulled Jay onto the tree and they slowly climbed down all together.

“Yea…” was all Vinny spoke as he just laid in the vines…his left arm hurt…Kai immediately ran over to Vinny as they made it to the ground. He and Lloyd began tearing the vines that trapped him away.

“What the hell happened!?” A very confused and pissed off Jay spoke as he clutched his shoulder which was just hit very hard.

“You okay?” Cole asked the cameraman, he just nodded as he winced and clutched his arm.

Nya gently grabbed Vinnys’ arm and lifted up the jacket sleeve. All their clothes had cuts in them. “If you broke your arm, then so help me” The water ninja sighed, as she squeezed Vinnys’ arm causing him to wince.

“Take off your jacket…we don’t know if it’s broken, but we can make a temporary sling to somewhat help it” Lloyd spoke, Vinny nodded and took off his jacket. Lloyd carefully wrapped it around the cameramans’ neck and kept his arm in there.

“Now we have that done…” Nya spoke, “Where the fuck are we?” She questioned as she and the others looked around, trees and mountains stood tall around them as birds flew by.

Vinny couldn’t careless where they were…he wanted to know if Garmadon was safe…

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 60

(DAMN! CHAPTER 60 ALREADY!!)

Vinny stirred awake the next morning, he laid in bed for 20 minutes after his eyes opened before eventually sitting up and sat there for 5 more minutes doing absolutely nothing.

He eventually picked up his phone and checked the time, “10:27…fuck that was a good sleep…” he thought to himself a little surprised at how much he slept. And he honestly felt refreshed compared to the previous days.

The cameraman got up from his bed and went to the bathroom, brushing his teeth. He wasn’t really hungry after all he did have a sandwich before. He looked at himself in the mirror and sighed before grabbing a razor from the drawer and some shaving cream.

Better now than later…he doubted Enji would come just yet, so he wanted to make the most of his time and properly care for himself. He carefully glided the razor against his skin, careful not to cut himself. He didn’t have much of a beard, but the stubble was getting a bit out of control and made him look unkept and exhausted.

“I should probably get a haircut soon…” he muttered to himself as his brushed his hand through his hair which was longer than usual. “That can be a problem for another day…I should just brush it though” he added once more as he continued to shave.

Eventually he finished and let out a sigh as he looked at himself in the mirror. He looked better than usual, the dark circles under his eyes were still there, but had lightened slightly and after shaving he looked less sleep deprived.

He splashed like warm water across his face before leaving the bathroom and putting on his jacket, “Maybe Nya has a spare hairbrush…” he thought as he shoved the dagger into his pocket and gently wrapped the mirror shard in a cloth and put it in his pocket as well.

Vinny looked around his room one more time before leaving and closing the door. He didn’t have much plans today, he’d probably watch the ninja train or play video games.

He came out and saw Lloyd and Jay talking about something, a comic. “Morning Vinny” Lloyd spoke first as he waved and Jay did the same, the cameraman waved back as well as he walked up to the two. Both of the ninja seemed to notice Vinnys’ refreshment, the clean shave and lighter eye bags.

“Morning…do you know where Nya is? I need to see if I can borrow a hairbrush” Vinny spoke.

“Yep, she should be in our room” The lightning ninja replied as he pointed down the hallway.

“You hungry? There should be some omelettes in the kitchen” Lloyd asked, Vinny shook his head.

“I woke up and ate a sandwich early morning” The cameraman replied, receiving a nod from the two ninja.

“We’ll if you’re hungry you know where it is” Lloyd replied.

“Thanks you two” Vinny spoke before walking down the hallway to Nyas’ room. He gently knocked on the door.

The water ninja opened the door curious as to who it is, she looked a little surprised when she realised it was Vinny, “Morning, is something up?” She asked, clearly curious as to the cameramans’ visit.

“This is a little random, but do you have a spare hairbrush? My hairs a bit of a mess” The cameraman asked as he pointed to his hair.

Nya smiled, “Yep…let me just find it…” she spoke as she looked at her room, she looked like she was in the middle of reorganising it, Jay and her stuff were a little bit clattered.

Vinny nodded in response and watched as the water ninja dug through drawers before holding up a hairbrush, “Here it is! I think I never used this one either” she spoke as she handed the cameraman the hairbrush, it was a dark blue one and as Nya said it looked like it was never used, no hair on it at all.

“Thanks…you’re a lifesaver” Vinny spoke gratefully as he took the hairbrush.

“Is everything good with you?” She questioned, Vinny looked at her and sighed realising she just wanted a little bit more knowledge about him and Garmadon.

“I guess…we haven’t spoke much, but we speak…he asks me ifI’m taking care of myself” Vinny replied.

“That’s good, I think you’re taking care of yourself though…you look like you got a heavenly sleep last night” Nya replied as she gently nudged Vinnys’ shoulder.

“I did…I slept so well” The cameraman responded as he remembered how he slept like an infant.

“Well then that’s good…me and the others have some training later then they’re gonna play games” She spoke, Vinny was thankful he wasn’t being bombarded with questions.

“I’ll probably come and watch” Vinny replied before turning around, “See you, thanks for the help” he added.

“Bye” Nya replied as she watched Vinny walk away.

The cameraman went back to his bedroom and looked in the mirror as he gently brushed his hair, groaning every time he found a knot. He finished that pretty quickly and left the brush there before leaving the room once more.

He heard some clanking and grunting from outside, realising that it’s probably where Kai, Cole and Zane probably are. He was right as he opened the door and saw the three ninjas sparring. He put on his shoes and waved back to Cole who pretty easily noticed him.

Kai and Zane waved not long later, “Someone’s looking fresh!” Kai called out as he blocked an attack from Cole.

“I got a good sleep last night” Vinny chuckled in reply, was it really that recognisable how much better he looked? He sat on the floor and watched them spar. And slowly one by one the rest of the ninja came, Nya was last to come though.

They sparred for hours Vinny often conversing with one or two of them when they took a break. To the cameramans’ surprise Wu and Garmadon joined as well, watching them train. The oni didn’t say anything to Vinny, and Wu just gave him a nod. He was thankful he didn’t have to answer questions.

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 59

(SOMEONE’S ON A ROLLLLL!!! Second chapter today btw, if you haven’t seen it I uploaded chapter 58 as well)

“Hey…what’s up?” Vinny asked awkwardly as he looked at Garmadon, he really hoped he wasn’t spotted by anyone.

“I heard someone up…wanted to see if it was you…” Garmadon replied as his eyes looked at Vinny, seemingly trying to find anything suspicious.

“Hmm? I just woke up” The cameraman lied as he turned his head sideways faking a confused expression. “You didn’t have to get up to check on me…”

“I heard a bang too…just wanted to make sure you’re here…” The oni replied, slight suspicion tainting with his voice, as he reached he hand and caressed Vinnys’ cheek.

“No…I’ve been sleeping the whole time” the cameraman replied as he instinctively leaned into Garmadons’ touch. Just, because they had a fight didn’t mean they still couldn’t show affection to each other. They loved each other after all…

“Did I wake you up?” The oni asked, guilt tainting with his voice.

“Yea…” Vinny replied as he stared at the other, noticing the guilt, “But it’s no problem! I’m a little hungry” he added, he’d already upset Garmadon more than enough.

Vinny came out of the room and closed the door, “I’m gonna find something to eat” he spoke, the oni just nodded in response.

“Do you…do you want me make you something?” Vinny questioned, Garmadon just shook his head in response, he wasn’t hungry.

The cameraman just nodded and took a deep breathe before walking to the kitchen, Garmadon didn’t follow thankfully, he watched Vinnys’ figure slowly disappear into the hallway.

The cameraman made it to the kitchen and let out a sigh of relief before realising that the kettle was on, someone else was awake, probably Lloyd from before.

Vinny ignored the kettle and made a simple sandwich, nothing too special, he sat at the table and ate in silence, his eyes landing on a stab in the table, he cringed from the memory of him stabbing the table.

As he continued to eat in silence as teacup was put in front of him as Wu sat down next to him. “Bit early to be up?” Wu asked Vinny, in a soft tone drinking from his own teacup.

“Could say the same for you…” the cameraman replied as he gave Wu a grateful nod for the tea.

“What woke you?” Wu asked as he looked at the stab in the table before ignoring it,

“Garmadon heard something and thought it was me…he came and checked on me…” Vinny replied, guilt beginning to creep up his back for worrying the oni.

“Ah…did he go back to bed?” Wu questioned once more.

“I think…I asked if he was hungry and he wasn’t so I just came here…” Vinny replied as he continued to munch on his sandwich.

“Is something on your mind?” Wu spoke.

“Something on m- N-no…I’m fine…” Vinny replied, it was an obvious lie and Wu wasn’t buying it.

“Has things gotten worse between you and my brother?” Wu questioned, Vinny paused before sighing and shaking his head.

“I don’t think so…last night he asked me a couple questions…just making sure I was taking care of myself” the cameraman responded as he rested his face on one hand and drank tea.

The tea was oddly calming, it was warm and comforting and the aroma was amazing, it was chamomile tea…Vinny was sure if it, he drank it a lot when he would have restless nights back at the apartment, mostly before Garmadon came along.

“That’s nice of him” Wu spoke, he made sure not to cross the imaginary border, he didn’t want to stress Vinny.

“Yea…it is…” the cameraman responded softly, not realising that the bandages on his hand was beginning to fall off.

“Were those stitches from the razor cut?” Wu questioned, noticing the stitches through the bandages, Vinny just nodded plainly. He had a feeling if he said anything, Wu would be able to ask more questions.

“I’ll give you some alone time now…if you want to talk you know where to find me” Wu spoke as he drank the rest of his tea and got up, walking towards the doorframe.

Vinny nodded and waved slightly before sighing to himself once Wu left. He needed some alone time…none of the ninja, no Garmadon, no Wu, no Enji and no Rida…he wanted to lock himself in a room peacefully.

As the only sounds heard was the buzzing of the fridge and Vinnys’ quiet chewing. Only one subsided as the cameraman finished his food and tea, he cleaned the plate and cup before going back to his room.

As he dropped back down on his bed he looked at the time on his phone. “3:27…” he spoke to himself, it’s been a little over an hour, but Vinny could still get more sleep. Though he’d doubt it’d be as good as the one before.

He stretched as he laid down on the bed, his arms wrapping around one of the pillows while his head was rested on another, the blanket was awkwardly sprawled over his body as his thoughts disappeared one by one till he fell asleep again. Not as well as before…but good enough…

(Someone’s been blessed by motivation)

As Vinny and Enji walked in the hallways, Vinny couldn’t shake his anxiety, on one hand he wanted to do everything to protect his friends, but on the other hand he couldn’t help, but think this was also a mistake…a fork in the road each with their own problems…

“Why’d you cut Cole…?” The cameraman asked quietly, breaking the silence as they walked.

Enji chuckled, “Because I just had to be safe…I wasn’t taking risks with the chest” he replied to the cameraman arrogantly as he wrapped a arm around his neck.

“Rida said that you were finding something that belonged to him…was the chest it?” Vinny questioned once more as he tried avoiding the other mans’ touch.

“Yep, and he’s going to get his way one way or another” Enji replied as he tied up his hair using a hair tie on his wrist.

There was that awkward silence again, it was taking longer to get to the elevator mainly, because they didn’t want to risk waking anyone.

“Do you-“ Vinny was cut off as Enji pulled him into a different corridor and covered his mouth. It was clear Enji didn’t want to get caught. The cameraman stared at the other, confusion evident on his face until he heard soft footsteps.

Vinny peaked slightly and saw Lloyd going towards the kitchen, once he was far enough Enji dragged the other quickly to the gaming room. “Thanks…” the cameraman mumbled, he knew he shouldn’t be thanking him, but if Lloyd saw him and the key was missing there would clearly be some suspects.

“I take my work seriously” Enji spoke, still sounding as arrogant as ever as he pushed Vinny, pressuring him to use the elevator. The cameraman rolled his eyes before carefully putting three shurikens in the dartboard causing the TV to lift as a elevator with a scanner was revealed.

“I think there’s cameras down there…” Vinny spoke as he looked at Enji.

“I’ll deal with them” he spoke before pushing the cameraman in front of the scanner. Vinny looked at the scanner and the elevator opened.

“Ladies first~” Enji teased as he bowed and signalled for Vinny to enter the elevator. The cameraman groaned in disgust as he entered the elevator.

Emoji entered after him, and Vinny took a sharp breathe as the door closed, “No going back now…” he thought to himself as he anxiously itched his hand.

Before he could take another thought the doors opened again as they made it down. Enji walked our first, strolling in like he owned the place, Vinny hesitantly followed behind, slightly sweating due to how nervous he was.

“Where is it?” Enji asked as he looked around.

“N-not sure…I put it there before I left” Vinny replied as he pointed to the table. The other man sighed before going through drawers, cupboards and anything that you could hide a key in.

Eventually his eyes landed on a small compartment in the ground, it was a loose slab, “Bingo~” Enji spoke as he crouched in front of the slab and lifted it, there it was…the key…

“W-what about the cameras?” Vinny asked, he was terrified of being caught, who knows what they all would say about this.

“Relax~! I used my illusions to change how you look to the cameras…so everyone just thinks you’re some random accomplice of mine” Enji chuckled, “You’re so tense” he added as he cupped Vinnys’ cheeks.

“Oh…let’s go back up…” The cameraman replied, as he pulled away from the others’ touch and began walking to the elevator again.

Enji rolled his eyes before grabbing the enchanted mirror from his pocket and grabbed Vinny closer, before throwing the mirror in the air. The cameraman helped slightly and saw the mirror came back down, it expanded and closed around them, he shut his eyes tight quite literally wondering what the fuck is happening.

Vinny opened his eyes and looked around, they were in this room? More so a tunnel…different mirrors, tall, long, short, small, all types of mirrors.

The cameraman hunched over once Enji let him go, he felt a wave of nausea wash over him, whatever that was, messed with Vinny.

“W-Where are we?” Vinny asked the other man through heavy breathes as he looked around the purplish, blue tunnel.

“I don’t even know what it’s called…but it’s how I get around” Enji replied as he dragged Vinny down the tunnel.

“If you just used the mirror, why couldn’t you use it to get down here?” Vinny questioned, annoyance evident as he was dragged by the other.

“Because there’s barely any mirrors there…and any in the vehicles are covered” Enji replied before he threw Vinny through a mirror, one identical to the one in he bedroom.

The cameraman yelped as he was thrown through, expecting an impact he shielded his face. He wasn’t greeted by the cold mirror glass, but instead the floor.

Vinny winced as he sat up on the ground, a hand on his head due to the impact. It wasn’t a hard impact, but it still stung. He looked back at the mirror and groaned as he saw Enji smiling at him devilishly as he waved.

“See you buddy!” He spoke to the cameraman.

“W-wait!” Vinny called out, he had a question about the mirrors, Enji groaned as he heard the others’ voice and reluctantly stuck his head out of the mirror.

“What?” Enji asked, clearly wanting to go to bed right now.

Vinny got up and rushed to the bedside table grabbing the mirror shard that Rida had accidentally left behind the previous day. “What’s this?” He questioned.

Enji took it from Vinnys’ hand and observed it, “A shard like my mirror…this one doesn’t word properly though and it’s old, I used it one time and I fell from the sky” Enji replied as he handed it back.

“You’re not gonna keep it or anything?” Vinny asked as he took it back.

“Rida would’ve came back for it already if he thought it was important and I quite frankly have had my share of bad experiences from that” Enji replied before retreating further into the mirror.

“Alright then…you can go” Vinny mumbled.

“Bye buddy~!” Enji said happily as he tugged on Vinnys’ hair pulling him to the ground before disappearing all together.

The cameraman groaned and winced in pain as he put his hand on his head, “Asshole…” he spoke out loud, just in case so Enji could hear.

He sat back on his bed, putting the shard on the bedside table. He could only hope no one would find anything suspicious about himself.

He was lost in thought before being snapped out by a soft knock, Vinny immediately got up about to open the door, before stopping. He should wait a little before opening it…whoever’s there won’t know he was awake…He also messed up his hair a bit more.

The cameraman waited at the door for a moment, two more knocks heard, he opened the door as he heard the third knock, he stared at the person who knocked with a fake drowsy expression.

Garmadon…great…just what he needed…

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 57

As Vinny got up from his bed, he reached for the dagger on the bedside table, he cursed to himself realising he left it in the bathroom.

It was too early for this, but he got a decent sleep at night. As he went over to the mirror he noticed the window was slightly open…when did that happen? Never mind, maybe that’s what pushed the jacket onto his bed.

He rubbed his temples as he groaned to himself, as sat back on the edge of the bed about to lay down…the air thickened in the room as his heart quickened.

“Morning buddy~” a familiar voice whispered into the cameramans’ ear as a head rested on his shoulder. Vinny cursed to himself once more as he reluctantly turned his head around

Enji…just what he needed, must’ve jinxed himself before. Except Vinny was a little surprised to see the menace not wearing his normal attire and certainly didn’t look the same.

He looked just as tired as Vinny, droopy eyes, wearing a dark grey compression shirt and loose black shorts. His hair was out, some of it draping over his shoulder.

“What do you want?” The cameraman spoke, malice evident in his voice.

“What do I want?” Enji replied, chuckling softly, “Must I have a want? Can’t I pay a visit? After all I didn’t see you yesterday” he continued as he leaned back onto the bed, resting against the backboard.

Vinny rolled his eyes and grumbled in annoyance as the menace relaxed. “Get your feet off” he spoke, it sounded more like a request than an order. He was still scared of Enji after all.

“Nope” Enji teased, “Now then…what’s with covering the mirrors?” He asked the cameraman causing his breathe to hitch.

“I just don’t like mirrors…” Vinny replied plainly, it was partially the truth. “Now answer my question…why are you here? You clearly didn’t plan for this based on how you look” he added as he stood up from the bed, distancing himself from the menace.

Enji rolled his eyes and chuckled, “I was planning on do this tomorrow, buuuuut Rida wanted to be extra safe so I’m doing it now”

“That answers on thing” The cameraman sighed as he looked in the dresser mirror. “And what do you need to be extra safe of?” He questioned once more.

“A few things…and as for the reason I’m here…” Enji spoke, Vinny shivered and looked at the ground as he was hit by something cold, not quite wind though…he looked back at the mirror, his heart aching. “I need a favour….” He continued as he was now in the mirror, those eyes staring directly into the cameramans’.

Vinny hardly processed what was said to him as he was caught off guard by Enji going into the mirror, “A-a favour?” He managed to stutter out as his mind finally processed the words.

“Yep~! Nothing too big” Enji replied with a devilish smile as his hand reached from in the mirror and he grabbed Vinnys’ cheeks harshly. The cameraman sucked his teeth, but kept his mouth shut. Anything could piss off Enji, and he clearly wanted to get over and done with this quickly.

“What is it…?” Vinny grumbled, he wanted to get rid of Enji so badly, but he needed to know what the favour is.

“You need to help me get that key~!” Enji replied as he released Vinnys’ cheeks.

“The key…? Y-you can’t actually believe I’ll help you get it?” The cameraman replied as he stroked a hand through his hand and put his other hand on his hip.

“I don’t need to believe…because you’re helping me whether you like it or not” Enji threatened as he climbed out of the mirror and sat on the mirror stand.

“C-can’t you get it yourself? You’ve managed to sneak in here multiple times!” Vinny replied, anxiety creeping up his back.

“If it was that simple I would’ve done so already!” Enji hissed before taking a deep breath, “Now all you need to do is get me down to that god forsaken place…that stupid elevator has some recognition thing and my illusions aren’t working” he sighed, annoyance evident on his face,

Vinny rolled his eyes, “What if I don’t?” He asked, wanting to see how far he could push this.

The menace grumbled, “If you don’t fucking listen then I’ll take your friends one by one and gouge their eyes while you watch” he threatened, he really wanted to get this over and done with.

Vinnys’ breathe hitched as his hands trembled, he clenched his fists and took a deep breathe, “Can’t you…just make a copy of the key…?” He asked hesitantly.

“That key is special, because it’s magical now hurry up before someone wakes up” Enji replied impatiently, he was more pushy than usual.

“Anything’s better than him hurting them” the cameraman thought before he reluctantly nodded to Enji.

Enji gave him a sinister smile before jumping off the mirror stand, “Lead the way my friend” he teased as he bowed down.

Vinny grumbled to himself, “Wait…I need to get something…” he spoke as he went to the bathroom and came back with the dagger.

“I see you enjoy the dagger” Enji spoke, but the cameraman ignored and walked out of the room, he was followed by the other man who closed the door behind him.

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 56

As Vinny went up the elevator and paced to his room, he was grabbed by his jacket, he let out a small yelp before he looked up at who grabbed him, Garmadon…Just what he needed…

“Why were you out so long?” The oni asked as he squeezed Vinnys’ cheeks.

“Told you…work…” The cameraman replied as he grabbed the wrist of Garmadons’ hand that was squeezing his cheeks.

“You don’t work for that long…I’ve lived with you long enough” Garmadon answered as his pupils sharpened. He didn’t want Vinny to lie about something so insignificant.

“I stayed at the apartment for a while, happy?” The cameraman replied, he wasn’t lying, just telling half the truth.

“Alone?” The oni asked, Vinny nodded and rubbed his cheeks as Garmadon released them. “Your hand…” he added, as his eyes widened noticing the bandages and visible stitches through it on Vinnys’ hand.

“Told you this before…accidentally cut myself…” The cameraman mumbled, as he stuffed his hand in his pocket, flinching slightly as he his hand on the sheath of the dagger.

“Who stitched it?” Garmadon asked.

“Zane and Pixal this morning…” the cameraman replied, he wanted to be truthful with Garmadon, say things that would make him think he wasn’t blocking everyone out.

“You going to sleep?” The oni asked, receiving a nod from the other, “What are you doing tomorrow?” He questioned once more.

“Nothing much” Vinny replied, as he held onto his bag strap tightly.

“Have you eaten?” Garmadon asked, he was worried…he didn’t want to ask too pushy questions, he just wanted to know if Vinny was taking care of himself.

“Yea…one of the reasons I came late too” The cameraman responded, he was keeping secrets, just not those secrets…he didn’t want Garmadon worried out of his mind.

“Alright…best you rest now…” the oni replied, “Goodnight…” he added, worry evident in his voice.

“Night…” Vinny replied quietly as he walked away quickly to his room, shutting the door behind him, Garmadon watched as he did this…guilt haunting him for not taking care of Vinny.

The cameraman let his bag drop to the ground as he laid on the bed, stuffing his face into the blanket as he let out a muffled groan.

Fuck….this was terrible…if Enji wanted anything to do with the ninja then Vinny would be fucked…he’d have to explain all of this when he didn’t even understand it himself.

He sat up and took off his hat placing it on the bedside table as he grabbed his bag off the ground and rummaged through it…picking up the mirror shard Rida accidentally left behind.

Memories from the day flashed back…Rida talking about how Enji was getting something that was rightfully his…the chest…then what about the key…?

The chest looked reinforced…you certainly needed the key to open it…maybe Enji didn’t know about it…

“What is so significant about that chest…?” Vinny spoke to himself out loud as he brushed a hand through his hair and put the mirror shard next to his hat.

He stood up, his muscles were sore…and his chest was aching slightly… “Probably from Enji…” he thought as he remembered the event of Enji stepping on his chest.

“What did I ever do to deserve this…?” He sighed before going to the bathroom and closing the door behind him.

His breathe hitched as he stared at his reflection in the mirror…he looked miserable….hair poking in random directions, bags under his eyes, and he looked like he was about to collapse any moment.

It was a miracle no one has pointed it out before…especially Kai, Cole and Jay.

The more he stared in his mirror the more it reminded him of Enji..l how he could appear at any moment…kill him at any moment…he was waiting on Rida’s word….

“Fucking hell….” He grumbled to himself before he took off his jacket and covered the mirror using it, as much as he needed to shave a little, he couldn’t stand mirrors at the moment.

He stripped the rest of his clothes and went in the shower turning it on. He jumped slightly from the cold and turned the hot water higher, jumping once more when it became too hot…eventually he got it the right temperature.

Fuck…this felt like the best shower in his life…it was nice without seeing Enji for a day…listening to his insufferable voice…

Steam clouded up the small visible parts of the mirror as well as the shower screen, he washed his hair and rested his head against the shower screen, and he brushed his teeth.

He felt like the moment he hit the bed he would’ve passed out, which is why he showered pretty quickly, wanting to sleep as soon as possible and not risking falling on the shower.

He put on some clean clothes and used the same jacket to cover the mirror in the bedroom.

“Why’s there so many mirrors…?” He sighed to himself before dropping himself on the bed.

It felt like heaven…comfier than when he first came in the bedroom…his thoughts quickly disappeared as his eyes fluttered shut and his breathing slowed.

In just a few moments, he was under the blankets, sleeping like a baby, he didn’t toss and turn like the previous nights…

As the hours went by Vinny stirred awake to soft clattering and mumbling, he sat up and rubbed his eyes, grabbing his phone from the bedside table and checked the time, “2:18…” he thought to himself tiredly as he squinted trying to make sense of the room and what woke him

There was strangely no one…but Vinny couldn’t careless about him being awake…those few hours of sleeping were blissful…his find was calmer and he felt refreshed…

The cameraman continued to search around the room, his eyes darting to everything in the room…his eyes widened in fear as his breathe hitched…

The jacket on the mirror was gone and was instead on the bed…”That’s not good…” he thought to himself…sure it could’ve fell, but how did it get on the bed…?

Overwhelmed (Vinny x Garmadon)part 55

The ninja looked around the cavern for a little longer, Cole sat out, his arm was cut from the mysterious man. “Hey guys! I found something!” Jay called out as he held up a key with intricate patterns that looked like spikes on the top.

The lightning ninja went back to the group and handed the key to Zane who began scanning it. “Dragon bone and Ivory” The ice ninja spoke.

“Dragon bone and ivory…weird” Nya spoke, “Let’s go back to the monastery, we need to stitch Coles’ arm” She added as she pointed to the earth ninja who had his ninja hood tightly wrapped around his arm like a tourniquet.

The group nodded in agreement as they began going through the catacombs again, it took a while but they managed to get back out. “I have never missed the sky so much” Jay whined as he looked up.

They all got into their vehicles and drove to the monastery. “Who the hell was that guy though?” Kai spoke over the comms.

“No idea, but I hate him already” Lloyd replied, they spoke about the man till they made it back.

“Welcome back, did you find it?” Pixal greeted them as he turned towards them.

“There were two things, a chest and key, we have the key…but some weird man took the chest” Lloyd spoke.

“And he cut Coles’ arm!” Kai added, Pixal turned her attention to the earth ninja.

“Best we stitch it up” The female nindroid spoke as she pointed to a chair which Cole sat on. The elevator beeped as Garmadon and Wu came down.

“Vinny’s not back?” Nya asked, clearly surprised, the spinjitzu brothers shook their heads as they walked over.

“Should I call him?” Lloyd asked, but was cut off by the ping of his phone. He looked at it, “Nevermind…he said he’s like a minute away and asked if we’re back”

Garmadon looked slightly relieved that Vinny was coming back, he wanted to keep watch on him as much as possible. Cole winced slightly as Pixal disinfected his wound and began stitching.

“Did you retrieve anything?” Wu asked.

“Yes, a key, we also found a chest but a unknown man took it” Zane spoke.

“Unknown man? Strange…and I take it he done that?” Wu asked as he looked at Cole, they nodded in response.

There was an awkward silence before Nya spoke up, “Did you use that this morning? There’s a roll of bandages missing” the water ninja spoke as she looked in the first aid bag.

The two nindroids locked eyes with each other, they both had a promise to keep.

“Yes…the postman injured himself this morning” the female nindroid spoke.

“Really h-“ Jay asked but was cut off by the beeping of the elevator, Vinny was here.

“Welcome back” Nya spoke her voice slightly teasing, the cameraman smiled, he still had his bag on his shoulder.

“How was it? And what happened to him?” Vinny asked as he joined the group and pointed to Cole, he also hesitantly looked at Garmadon and gave him a small smile. It was the least he could do to show some recognition.

“We found a key…and some guy took a chest and cut Cole! Kai spoke, he was sitting next to Cole watching Pixal carefully stitch him.

“A guy? Really? What’d he looked like?” Vinny asked as he looked at the curiously.

“I can upload it from my memory onto the monitor” The ice ninja spoke as he grabbed a long cord and attached it to the back of his head and began typing things on the keyboard.

The group watched in anticipation, and Pixal finished the stitches. The screen loaded and a very familiar voice played, a voice that sent shivers down Vinnys’ spine as he stared at the man.

“Enji…” Vinny thought to himself as his hair stood up on ends, his hands trembled as Enjis’ voice played in the background from the video, this was bad…the one person he didn’t want anyone know about was getting involved.

The cameraman didn’t seem to notice the bright red eyes staring at him worriedly, to Garmadon he saw fear pure dread, he didn’t want to bring it up, but this man…Vinny clearly knew him.

“How does he make clones?” Jay asked as they continued to watch the videos, “It’s all fake” he added.

“It’s like illusions…” Vinny spoke, he wasn’t technically telling them anything revealing, he was helping his friends.

“That does make sense” Wu spoke.

“Where’s the key you found?” The cameraman asked, Zane handed the key to Vinny you looked at it.

“Best we don’t overthink it now…rest and talk about it tomorrow” Garmadon spoke, the group nodded, it was pretty late.

One by one they slowly left, Garmadon was a little stubborn, but Wu everntually managed to convince him to leave, now it was just Zane, Pixal and Vinny. “Are you alright Vinny?” Pixal asked, the cameraman nodded.

“You’re anxiety levels spiked when you saw the video” the ice ninja spoke, Vinny put the key down.

“Just a little worried about who this guy is” the cameraman spoke before he left, leaving the two nindroids very confused.

(I just had the biggest spark of motivation for this, I don’t know where from but it’s welcome, I hope you enjoy)

Overwhelmed (Vinny x Garmadon)part 54

As the ninja made it to their location they stared at the entrance. “That shit looks creepy…” Kai spoke as he created fire in his hand lighting up the cave.

“We’re getting lost…” Jay added as he took a sword from Nya, the group all nodded in response with what he said. They all entered the cave and began searching for this strange energy source. Zane had a sensor to track the energy source.

“Not necessarily…I’ll trace our exact steps and turns” The ice ninja spoke as they walked into the caves. The group let out a sigh of relief hearing that as they followed Kai who was leading the way with fire.

After a while of walking Jay yelled causing the group to instantly prepare their elements as the lightning ninja hid behind his beloved water ninja. “What is it!?” Nya asked, Jay pointed to a wall, there was a skull lodged in it.

“Fucking hell Jay! You trying to give us a heart attack!?” Kai asked annoyingly as he and the group groaned in annoyance due to the overreaction.

“We’ll excuse me for being in a creepy tunnel and seeing a skull!” The lightning ninja replied.

“Enough you two…let’s keep going…I wanna get out of here as quick as possible…” Lloyd spoke as he pushed Kai to keep walking, which he did.

After a while later of following Zane, the tunnels opened up to a massive cavern, ledges and other tunnels surrounded the walls and roof of the cavern.

“What we’re looking for better be in here…I don’t wanna go in those…” Cole spoke as he pointed to the other tunnels.

Zane looked over the place, “It should be…the energy signal is strongest here though I can’t find the exact signal” the ice ninja spoke, earning a sigh of relief from the group.

“Should we just search around here for a while?” Nya asked, the group nodded as they split up and began lifting rocks, searching small holes and checking out the ledges, with the help of Cole, who controlled the rocks to help them up.

There was a crash, and the group all darted their attention to a high ledge, there was man…he seemed to have accidentally pushed a rock. “Whoopsie!” The man spoke in a playful tone. Seeing the man the group instantly rejoined each other, staying close together.

“Who are you!?” Lloyd shouted as he pulled his sword out.

“Wow! That’s not how you greet someone!” The man spoke as he climbed up to another ledge. Lloyd rolled his eyes hearing that and Cole formed rocks beneath the group, lifting them up to the same height as the man.

The man chuckled as this happened before he disappeared and reappeared right behind the group. Jay jumped and hid behind Nya again. “You’re a jumpy one…say! You wouldn’t be looking for someone?” The man spoke.

“In fact we are!” Kai responded as he stood in front of the group, distancing them from the man.

“Ohhh…in that case…we can’t be friends!” The man chuckled as he grabbed a dagger from his waist belt seemingly getting ready to fight.

The man grappled to another ledge this time beginning to break rocks. Just as the group was about to follow they were attacked…by clones? Identical copies of the man occupied the group as he broke the rocks.

They fought back, every time they ‘killed’ one it would disappear into dust. “Y’know you all seem like a lively bunch…buuuut I enjoy messing with you and I have a mission to do!” The man spoke in a cheerful tone.

Zane managed to make it up to the man and held out his sword. The man sighed, “Really? Gotta make everything hard for me? I know I’m gonna get away…” the man paused and grabbed a small chest that had jewels and seemed to be locked pretty well. “With this either way” he spoke.

Zane scanned the box, it was the energy signal, and it seemed even stronger now that it was out. The ice ninja tried knocking the chest out of the man’s hand but failed instead he dodged and pushed Zane, but instead of letting him fall he held onto his hand. “C’mon! Give me a real fight!” The man asked.

“Zane! Just keep him occupied!” Lloyd called out from below as he continued destroying the clones.

“Keep me occupied? No no no…I told you I want a real fight!” The man spoke sadistically as he jumped down, after he pushed Zane. The ice ninja managed to land without any injuries.

“Now then! Let’s play…” he spoke as he lunged towards Cole, slashing his arm with a plain dagger. The earth ninja hissed in pain and Kai instantly came closer to him and held his arm. “Nice arms~? I wonder how they are in bed~” he spoke in a low voice as he attacked Nya.

The water ninja reacted quickly instantly splashing the man with water. “Fuck that’s gross!” Nya spoke clearly disgusted at the implications of what the man said to Cole. “No one flirts with my brothers’ boyfriend!” She added, Kai and Cole blushed slightly, not knowing to be thankful or embarrassed.

“Goddamnit! I just cleaned this!” The man groaned before he got onto another ledge, Jay following after. “Y’know! I would really love to stay and play! But this thing is really important and if I lose it, I’m gonna get my ass handed to me!” He added as he spun the chest on his finger.

The man grabbed the grappling hook from his waist belt, as this happened Jay lunged forward only to be kicked down by the guy. He was thankfully caught by Nya.

“I’ll be seeing you!” The man called before the hooked the grappling hook and was lifted up to a high ledge, he disappeared into a high tunnel.

“Who the fuck was that…?” Kai asked.

“I have no idea…but he’s definitely gonna be a problem…” Lloyd replied.

(With the Ninja before Vinny slept)

"Has anyone noticed Vinny's been acting strange over the last few days...?" Kai asked as he played Prime Empire with Jay and Cole while Zane, Nya and Lloyd were watching.

"Yea...he looks like he hasn't slept properly for a while and I feel like something happened between him and my dad cause the two were barely talking to each other" Lloyd spoke as he looked at Nya who nodded in response.

"Maybe they got into a fight or some shit" Cole suggested as he continued playing. Nya and Lloyd looked at each other knowing they did have a fight.

"About what though? And why would Vinny get in a fight with him?" Jay asked as he paused the game after they finished the level. The three put down the controllers and began paying more attention to the conversation.

"Zane, have you picked on any emotional signals from the two?" Nya questioned the ice ninja who blinked awkwardly, he wasn't meant to tell anyone, and definitely not about the stab wound on Vinnys' hand.

"I have picked on on signals of sleep deprivation, sadness and slight anger from the two" Zane spoke as he tried to lie to the group. They sighed hearing that obviously not liking the condition of the two.

"Why'd he leave so-" Just as Lloyd was saying that Pixal came in. "Oh, hey Pixal" The green ninja spoke instead, Zane looked happy seeing her.

"Hello, are you talking about Vinny?" She asked, Jay nodded. "I must interrupt this conversation, but I have discovered a powerful energy source and Master Wu would like you all to check it out" Pixal spoke softly.

"A mission? Finally! We haven't had a good mission in ages" Kai spoke happily as he immediately stood up and stretched.

"A powerful energy source? Do you know what it is?" Lloyd asked as he looked at Pixal curiously.

"Despite my efforts to discover what it is, they have remained futile for the time being" Pixal replied.

"Strange...then we shall leave immediately" Zane spoke as the others nodded and stood up.

"I'll prepare the vehicles as you all get ready" Pixal spoke before she left the room.

"This is gonna be so fun!" Kai exclaimed happily as he grabbed Cole's hand and ran out, Cole didn't have time to react he was just dragged out leaving the rest of the ninja laughing.

"I bet it's an artifact we're gonna find" Jay spoke as he stood up as well and stood closer to Nya.

"Probably...hopefully it isn't as dangerous as the scrolls of spinjitzu" The water ninja replied to her lover as Zane left the room as well.

"Hopefully...those scrolls were a pain..." Lloyd replied as he began walking out, followed by the other two ninja.

"We should go get ready now" Nya spoke, the others nodded in response and they all parted ways off to get ready for their mission.

After a while all the ninja were gathered in the secret part of the monastery, Garmadon and Wu were there too. "So then, where is the place we're going?" Cole asked as he looked at Pixal who was clicking on a keyboard.

"A place called the catacombs, it's far from here and is like a maze, twists and turns everywhere" Pixal responded as she brought up pictures of the catacombs. The ninjas looked a little surprised seeing the place they were going.

"If we get lost I'm blaming it on Jay..." Kai spoke as he pointed to the lightning ninja, Lloyd and Cole snickered while Nya sighed and Jay looked offended.

"W-What why?!" Jay whined as he pouted, Kai stuck his tongue out, Master Wu sighed.

"Everything aside...you all have a mission, find the energy source and bring it here if safe while not getting lost" Wu spoke, the group instantly paid attention to him and nodded.

"Pixal, are the vehicles ready?" Zane asked, Pixal nodded as she pointed to the different vehicles.

"You all shall get going now before it gets late" Wu added, the group nodded and began getting into the vehicles.

"I'm gonna call Vinny real quick, just so he knows where we are" Lloyd spoke to Wu, Garmadon, who was standing next to Wu seemed to have reacted in some way to Vinny being mentioned. He missed him, and was worried, poor Vinny. Wu nodded to Lloyd who then took out his phone.

A quick phone call later, the group were ready to leave, with one last check of the mission and vehicles they drove off.

Out of all your ocs who do you love the most? I love all of them even if they all haven't been introduced before

Shancai....no doubt....I love this man so much...he has a grip on my soul....also I think of him, Willow and Vinny as a sibling trio....don't worry Vinny isn't secretly related to them or any of my ocs.

If I were to rank my ocs from favourite to least favourite it would be: Shancai, Enji, Rida, Deity then Willow. That doesn't mean I hate Willow I love her, I just love the others a bit more

Overwhelmed (Vinny x Garmadon)Part 52

(I suggest you check out parts 1-51 if you haven't already also if you've seen my other post about my own characters,Deity, she hasn't been added yet, but I changed my mind, she isn't 45 and Rida lied about his age in the last chapter, their ages will be revealed in future chapters)

"S-so anyways...what does Enji want from me? He appeared one day and turned my life into living hell" Vinny spoke as he avoided eye contact with Rida, clearly a little startled from his words before. "I think I mentioned this before...but you'll find out in due time...we don't plan on hurting you as long as you don't mess with our plans" The orange eyed man spoke as he returned to his calm state.

The cameraman sighed, "What happens if I do tell someone? Does the ninja know about you two? What about Garmadon or Wu?" He asked Rida, who chuckled softly at the questions, "No no...the ninja don't know about us...and I'm not sure about the other two, they might've heard about me before but not Enji" the orange eyed man replied as he and Vinny continued to walk.

"Why wouldn't they know about Enji?" The cameraman asked as he looked at up the taller. "I have a few things written about me in scrolls" Rida spoke causing Vinny to look at him in curiosity and surprise, "Why? He asked Rida, who chuckled in response and put a finger on his lips, "There is a limit to what I can say" The orange eyed man spoke in a singsongy voice as he gave Vinny a big smile.

The cameraman now confused, whether he should or shouldn't trust Rida. On one hand he seemed kind and trustworthy, but on the other hand...if he didn't want Vinny ask anyone about his past then there clearly is something to hide. "Anyway...should we go to my apartment? I've had enough outside for one day" The cameraman asked, in which Rida nodded.

The two walked to the apartment and made it there eventually. Vinny sat down on the couch and so did Rida. "Nice place you have" The orange eyed man spoke, Vinny smiled in response, before his phone started ringing and he picked it up. "Hey Lloyd...something up?" The cameraman asked.

"Uhh yea... so me and the others and going on a mission, Pixal discovered a high energy frequency so we're all going to check that put, Pixal, my dad and uncle are both staying here in the monastery" Lloyd said over the phone, the cameraman's expression softened hearing Lloyd mention Garmadon. "Alright then...I'll see you later" Vinny spoke before hanging up the phone.

"What did he need?" Rida asked curiously as he looked at the cameraman observing his behaviour. "They're just going on a mission, found some energy frequency" Vinny replied as he fidgeted with the dagger in his pocket. Hearing this caused Rida's behaviour to change, "Energy frequency..." The orange eyed man spoke quietly as he thought.

The cameraman looked at him curiously, "Something up?" Vinny asked, noticing the change in Rida's behaviour. "Nothing...I need to go do something...I'll see you later..." The orange eyed man replied as he got up and left the house, leaving Vinny confused. "Weird...I really shouldn't trust him..." The cameraman mumbled to himself.

Vinny sighed and leaned back against the couch, before looking back down to where Rida was sitting before and noticed a shard...a shard of glass, the cameraman remembered once that Rida told him that he gave Enji a mirror shard that teleported him anywhere. "What the hell...?" The mumbled to him as he looked at the shard and noticed trees in the background.

The cameraman caressed the shard before it starting to swirl. Vinny jumped slightly and dropped the shard, he looked back down on it before picking it up again. He grabbed the dagger from his pocket and carefully attached the shard to it. the shard definitely had some significance and could maybe give some answers later on.

He relaxed slightly and stared at the roof for who knows how long before drifting off to sleep.
