despite the recent eviction record, I found someone willing to rent to my mom and me! i was getting increasingly afraid wed be stuck in a tent during winter. my partner is helping us to cover the first months rent + security deposit, but he can't cover all of it.. plus we still need to get electric and internet activated, and my mom needs a bed. shes a senior, sleeping on the floor is not a viable option for her, so I at least need to get her an air mattress. we'll worry about the rest in the coming months. If youre reading this, if youre financially stable, and if youre willing to donate 5 or 10$ to assist in helping us get into an apartment before winter truly arrives, then we would be very, very grateful for your help. the earliest we can move in is SUNDAY, 10/20/2024 so i'm hoping we can raise the ~850$ we need for rent, a mattress, and utilities by then. paypal.me/treesinspace / cash.me/$ggbwallac3

due to unforeseen circumstances, husb and I now have two (2) extra tickets to see the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Orchestra at the Altria in Richmond, VA (USA) on October 12, 2024. Chiune Sugihara. This man saved 6000 Jews. He was a Japanese diplomat in Lithuania. When the Nazis began rounding up Jews, Sugihara risked his life to start issuing unlawful travel visas to Jews. He hand-wrote them 18 hrs a day. The day his consulate closed and he had to evacuate, witnesses claim he was STILL writing visas and throwing from the train as he pulled away. He saved 6000 lives. The world didn’t know what he’d done until Israel honored him in 1985, the year before he died.
One of the biggest power moves I have here in the midwest when someone is being racist, sexist, homophobic is that I tell them that I’ll pray for them so that god can grace them with empathy, or that “I feel sorry the devil has made his home in your heart” cause you have not felt joy until you’ve flipped the script on a suburban house mom or an old racist white man. The joy of watching their face in shock and confusion while they’re called out in Christian Standards the same way they try to cover for their homophobia is amazing. 100% suggest it, at the very least it gets them to shut the fuck up.

What people think why i became a bookbinder: Oh she wants to explore her artistic horizon with those pretty leather bound books of hers. She even gives them out as gifts to her friends. It most likely helps her with anxiety or maybe she just wanted a more special costume made notebook.
Why I actually became a bookbinder: I just illegally downloaded and printed out several of my favourite fanfics and books and started binding them into books cuz I love reading them but looking at screens for too long gives me headaches.
