i never talk about these things but i can’t remain silent.
i know tumblr doesn’t give a SHIT when things happen in countries outside the “most popular ones” (such as the usa & england). it’s true, don’t lie to me. y’all don’t give A FUCK. not every issue and problem in said countries gets the appropriate exposure but in general shit shows up on the news WORLD FREAKING WIDE. you set up donations, you help out, your spread the word, you say “pray for x”……
southern europe is burning.
my country is burning.
people are dying - at home, on the road, trying to run away, in their cars.
yesterday my country had 300 active fires.
people are losing EVERYTHING they own.
i have a friend that is on a train right now passing through places that have been burnt to the ground and she says the smoke is so intense it’s getting inside the train and she can barely breathe.
and yet, even though several people (myself included) have been trying to bring awareness to what has been happening in southern europe… what we get from most of you, those not part of the countries suffering, is silence. we don’t ask for money, we don’t ask for shit other than a reblog to spread awareness… something you can delete in 24/48hrs if you wish.
i don’t know what to tell you. i’m angry. i’m frustrated. i’m disappointed. i feel like i’m screaming into the void. “a reblog does nothing” - you know that’s a damn lie, you know exposure always helps, you know people start paying attention when posts on social media become popular. my country in particular is a small one, we get ZERO exposure. y’all are only starting to figure out we even fucking exist bc of the shit we’ve been winning lately.
but hell, if the EU doesn’t give a shit, why should some user on tumblr dot com?
again, i don’t know what to tell you so i’ll let the images speak for themselves:
An image captured by a Nasa satellite shows a thick plume of smoke blowing southward from the Greek island of Chios over the island of Crete
Torneros de Jamuz, Spain
Duca, Croatia
A helicopter from Italy’s civil protection service drops water on a fire near the railway between Venice and Trieste
Residents take refuge on the beach as a wildfire burns on the mountain next to the village of Lithi, on the Greek island of Chios
Men gather cattle during a forest fire in Vieira de Leiria, Marinha Grande, Portugal.
Charred trees are seen on the hills above the Cloister of Thivaidas on Mount Athos, a World Heritage Site in Greece
Portugal
anyway this is your periodic reminder that self-medicating hrt is epic and you should do it
‘boy i sure wish i was asleep,’ i whisper, clicking Next Chapter fourteen fucking times
If you can’t reblog this, unfollow me now.
Yeah, there’s a reason for that.
It’s called: antisemitic caricature.
basically what i n a lotta other bi ppl have desperately been trying 2 make ppl understand is that bisexuals r real, actual ppl. u cannot build ur idea of what bisexuality is like off ur imagination based on like, what privilege boxes u think we do or dont tick n just decide that this imaginary bisexual life uve created on ur own is the reality.
this is why yall r obsessed w bisexuals having “straight passing privilege” n shit like that, why u wont acknowledge biphobia is a real problem n not discourse, why u constantly act like bisexuals oppress u n ur punching up somehow by shitting on us… bc yall have NEVER ever looked @ bisexuals as real n wondered what our community ACTUALLY is like.
over n over again ppl paint bisexuals as primarily cis, white, middle class oppressors, even though the numbers show that bisexuals r more likely 2 b trans, more likely 2 b ppl of color n more likely 2 live in poverty. despite this, bi-specific spaces n resources r gravely lacking, n bisexual needs receive a fragment of the funding that the lesbian, gay, n transgender communities receive. in lgbt organisations, 7% of board members identify as bisexual, as opposed to 59% being gay or lesbian. this is despite bisexuals being the largest part of the lgbt community.
throughout all this bisexuals constantly talk abt feeling unwelcome in lgbt spaces, feeling we have 2 hide part of our identity, that we cant b out as bi in lgbt spaces, that were only welcome so long as we dont contribute n dont disagree..
bisexuals r constantly walking on thin ice in our own community bc of the biphobic image others in the lgbt community have built of us, an image that is provably contrary 2 reality. this needs 2 b a big deal. this cannot b discourse or “opinions”. this is real life n yall NEED 2 shake up.
ik only bisexuals r going 2 rb this post, bc its always only bisexuals talking abt biphobia. but i wish the ppl who r going 2 see this post frm a bi person they follow n not reblog it would @ least think abt it.
Repost to spread. (Not really humor)

But what if the princess was in the tower because she was the dragon?
Like the queen gives birth and oops it’s this adorable little scaley lizard with tiny wings that she can never quite seem to fold right
None of the King’s advisors or doctors can explain it, no one can remember anyone who might have cursed the royal family, plus sire she’s clearly yours still I mean look at those eyes
They just kind of accept it and keep her in a tower so no one tries to slay her
The queen or castle servants reading bedtime stories to the toddler princess, who’s made a nest of her favorite toys and some jewelery she stole off her mother, and when she laughs little puffs of smoke come out of her mouth
The king being so proud when she flies across the room for the first time
And once the princess comes of age, confused knights breaking into the tower to find a twenty foot long dragon sitting at the vanity getting her horns polished by her handmaidens

Exclusionists/Acephobes do not interact.
Edit; Acephobes/Exclusionists who have replied to this post anyway, obviously unable to read… I am not here to argue with you. This isn’t about discourse. Fuck you.
Our identities have been discourse topics for too long. Not this week. This week is about celebrating ourselves. This week I’m done with you. I’m no platforming you.
This is the week we block on sight.
thursday needs a meme, here’s my attempt to contribute. it’s thursday and i’m here to help. thanks

The speech included a rousing call to action before the newly formed Congressional Caucus On Black Women & Girls. And her words were incredibly resonant, even if you think you know the whole story.
