So how are we feeling about the new chapter guys??

Gods, but with Aya getting the sword out, imagine Chuuya snapping back into reality, gunpowder on his hands, the muzzle still hot against his fingers. Waking up, his brain fuzzy, and looking down (and Dazai has always been taller but he looks so small) and seeing his partner (because he can pretend all he likes, thinking about betrayal and years apart and allegiances but they've never been anything but) and just knowing that somehow, this was his fault.

I bet Chuuya managed to control himself like how he held back while punching Dazai in Dead Apple and he slowed the bullet to Dazai’s head and that’s how he could still talk after being shot and why it didn’t pass through his skull

That’s honestly the only explanation I can come up with because there’s NO WAY Dazai is dead >:(

My absolute favorite flavor of skk is devoted head over heels obsessed skk. Like seeing them care for each other so much in their own way just makes me so happy in ways I can’t describe. Don’t really know what that says about me but I love them and I want them to be happy together bc they deserve it

Reasoning for dinosaur choices below :)

Chuuya - Spinosaurus

- My favorite dinosaur and my favorite character

- Strong boi

- I can make water jokes

- I thought it would be funny if the smallest guy had the biggest Dino

Dazai - Stegosaurus

- originally wanted him to be a carnivore but I wanted EVERY character to be a carnivore at some point so I had to change a bunch

- Honestly I just really like stegosaurus and he was the last character without a Dino

Atsushi - Dakotaraptor

- fast and strong

- Pack animal which I think fits with Atsushi’s need to belong

Akutagawa - Baryonyx

- Brain literally went: Rashomon -> Bite -> Crocodile -> Baryonyx

- I also like that it’s similar to Chuuya so I could have them bond at some point

- And it’s a strong and big Dino without going full apex predator

Yosano - Ankylosaurus

- Really difficult to kill

Kunikida - Triceratops

- It just seemed to fit?

Now I’m imagining what if Mer-Dazai was captured at some point? How guilty would Chuuya feel for not protecting him?

(Good news is he was always an escape artist, but Chuuya hasn’t thought of that yet)

Gin Akutagawa Reference

Parents die

Live on streets as thieves with Ryuunosuke

Gin bit by spider and they steals for the both of them (mostly trying to save their brother)

Dazai shows up trying to find the superpowered teen he kept seeing

he thought it was Ryuunosuke but he was very wrong

Gin kicks his butt when he intrudes on their place and he's surprised but not in a bad way

Dazai becomes the mentor figure of this universe who eventually dies (wow I’ve had to write that a lot and ik that’s the point but still)

Not sure who would die first, but both Dazai and Ryuu die at this point

Gin becomes Spider-Man and nobody knows who they are because mask+never speaks

Gin ends up dating Higuchi and Tachihara in this universe. I think Tachi will be some kind of law enforcement and Higuchi will be some kind of criminal just because I find it hilarious. Imagine some kind of

Ryuunosuke Akutagawa Reference

This Universe is a weird mix of Beast and Canon BSD

Lost Parents and lived on streets with sister

The two of them stole a lot bc food and Aku's illness

The two of them get split up somehow and go down very different paths. Should shin become a super villain in this one?

Bit by spider, Oda finds them (Aku tries to steal from him) which leads to typical mentor figure stuff before Oda dies

Aku becomes Spiderman

Additional notes:

Dazai and Chuuya are two of the main villains (Cuz Beast) in this one which makes things very awkward for Aku when multiverse stuff starts happening

Atsushi Nakajima Reference

Lost Parents and was in orphanage

Bit by spider and chaos ensues

Basically think of the typical chaos caused by a spider person figuring out their powers (I'm thinking lunchroom scene from Tobey Maguire spiderman one)

Runs away from orphanage and spends time on the streets being a thief

Runs into Dazai who is his mentor figure and takes him in

Dazai dies (not sure how yet but it leads to Atsushi becoming Spider-man)

Okay so I rewatched the first Divergent movie with my little sister because she needs to understand my middle school experience and I had an idea.

Of course my BSD brainrot kicked in and I tried searching for an AU but every time I searched something like “divergent au bsd” it would go canon divergent stuff.

But imagine Chuuya as someone in Dauntless and Dazai joining and immediately falling head over heels for him. He was originally from Erudite or however you spell the smart one and the newfound freedom is amazing for him.

Idk if I’ll ever expand upon it or not but if anyone knows of any divergent AUs for bsd id forever be grateful!

Osamu Dazai Reference

Past and Details below (some things may change)

This Dazai is the only exception to the multiversal Dazai rule

Parents died (Double suicide? Accident? Killed to cover something up?) and Dazai left, roaming the streets trying to find a painless end

Mori finds Dazai and saves him from a suicide attempt just like in canon

Dazai starts helping Mori in his villainous schemes (yes he's a supervillain in this one and like all villains he has some big company thing)

Maybe he actually gets a villain persona at this point with cool tech and stuff?

Not sure when he gets the spider bite but here feels like a good spot maybe kinda sorta

Taken in by Oda who is the city's hero currently. Dazai asks why he does that even with nothing in return and Oda says the great power great responsibility thing and says that he finds meaning in his life from it.

Mori causes Oda's death

Dazai figures this out and takes down Mori's entire empire of villains and takes the Spider-Man role

In the final fight with Mori, Dazai loses sight in his right eye (how did that end up opposite of canon?)

Chuuya Nakahara Reference

Past and Details Below!!! (Not all details are cemented so things might change?)

Parents die in an accident and kid Chuuya is in hospital 

       Decide whether stolen by an evil lab thing and proclaimed dead or if he escapes (if he runs away he’s older if lab route he’s younger) 

   Lab route: stolen by a lab that specializes in villain tech and making superhuman powers by testing on kids 

   Chuuya escapes and accidentally is bit by another test subject, the spider 

   [If not lab route continue here]

   Chuuya escapes and is picked up by the Sheep. He’s their thief and though he mostly hides his powers they do use him for his strengths 

   Chuuya is caught during a robbery and the sheep leave him behind 

   Murase takes Chuuya in and tries to convince him to do good. Chuuya says he’s full of shit 

   Supervillain Verlaine shows up and kills Murase. Chuuya remembers his words and becomes Spider-Man

   Chuuya is taken in by a group of heroes/vigilantes called The Flags who promise to give him a home and show him the ropes 

   They die from Verlaine as well (sorry Chuuya) 

   Chuuya defeats Verlaine and cements his role as the hero of his city 

   Decides to keep his distance from everyone because of previous losses 

   Meets a cute boy in a cafe and has a short conversation where they just click. They exchange numbers and Chuuya debates if he should make an exception to his rule 

   Before he can ever meet up with that cute boy again, he dies

       Decide if it should be a villain and Chuuya thinks it’s his fault, or if it’s something unavoidable like an undetected illness 

       Or maybe it’s a multiverses rule that this person dies??? Hmmmmm wonder who that can be???

Okay so for the Spiderverse AU im working on i decided to change the canon events every Spidey goes through.

- New Canon: Lose parents and spend time on streets, become some kind of criminal temporarily, whether by accident or not (can vary from thief to full scale villain), taken in by mentor figure who tries to turn them to good side and dies, they become Spider-Man at that point

- Rules for every universe: Oda always dies, usually by being a mentor to someone//Dazai always dies and/or becomes a villain (except for ONE)

- All the spideys have a life that is full of loss following that point and most have some kind of permanent injury that fucked them up for a bit that they had to overcome

- There’s less danger in traveling the multiverse bc I just want them to be buddies when I’m not tormenting them

I’ve always wanted to draw a Spider-Man kiss for SKK but I couldn’t because Dazai would nullify Chuuya’s ability

BUT I’ve been planning a Spiderverse AU for BSD and there’s plenty of SKK so it would work!!! :D
