“I have an idea, but you’ll have to trust me,” Dazai said, his voice suddenly serious. He pulled Chuuya close, and the other boy flushed at the contact.

“What is it?” Chuuya asked once he finally found his voice. The approaching vehicles seemed to fade to the back of his mind. Dazai was the only thing his brain could focus on.

“Well, you might not like it if I tell you. It’ll either work beautifully, or we could end up a tragic double suicide that is told for years to come!” He swayed, a hand resting on his forehead as he spun Chuuya around dramatically. “So, do you trust me?” He asked, eyes shining as he tilted his head at the other boy.

Chuuya nodded, and only a moment later Dazai tugged him and tumbled back, pulling both of them over the edge of the tracks. Chuuya could barely hear the shouts and gunshots from the ensuing fight between the pirates and the military over the wind whistling past them.

 After meeting a boy being hunted for his magic, Dazai Osamu's boring existence is flipped upside down as he discovers that Chuuya is the key to finding a mysterious floating castle said to contain the power to control the world. (SKK Castle In The Sky AU)

Meister Albatross and Weapon Chuuya!

I’ll go more into the details of Stormbringer in this AU later, but in Chuuya’s first year at PM Academy he met the Flags, who he ended up teaming up with quite often! (At least, when he wasn’t with Dazai.)

concept: ADA!Chuuya, but All Men Are Equal gave him total control of his ability by stabilizing it and getting rid of his permanent singularity, so he reverted to his original power: enhancing others' abilities.

Bonus:

Here are the designs for the weapon forms of the ADA and PM! Some of them are going to be changed later and I still haven’t made Mori or Higuchi’s weapon forms, but this is what I have for now!

(I also love Yosano’s even though I changed her to a Meister)

I figure after Dazai left PM Academy, Chuuya would fight solo for the most part. I like to think that he would team up with others on occasion, both as a Meister and a weapon, but now that he’s a professor and he doesn’t have his usual partner, he tends to fight alone. Plus, corruption is an issue and only Dazai was able to handle it.

So, Corruption was a fun element to play with in the Soul Eater AU. Since Chuuya and Dazai are both weapons and Meisters, I had to go back and forth for a while deciding which form Chuuya could use corruption in. I finally decided that he could use it in a weapon state. Dazai is the only one compatible enough that this doesn’t kill him, but it still causes internal bleeding and knocks both him and Chuuya out of the fight once they go back to normal.

Chuuya never really wears the jacket part bc his blades come out of his forearms, but he probably just hangs onto it or drapes it over his shoulders

Double Black Reunion in the Soul Eater AU

I love how their outfits have some parts that fit the other one’s eyes! Especially in wan where Dazai’s eyes are redder

Atsushi and Akutagawa for the Soul Eater AU!!!

In this pair, Atsushi is the Meister and Akutagawa is the weapon. In PM Academy, Akutagawa primarily fights solo, materializing blades from his body. Atsushi on the other hand is a versatile Meister who wields several of the weapons in the agency. The most common ones are Dazai, Junichiro, and sometimes Kenji. I haven’t decided if Kyouka is a Meister or a weapon, but if she’s a weapon she’d likely team up with Atsushi a lot because she’d trust him not to use her for evil.

These two both dislike how Dazai paired them together, but they’re a strong team once they get past their fighting and actually work together. Maybe they’re like the second coming of Double Black?

Dazai for the Soul Eater AU!!!

I wanted to give him more of a “professor” look so I swapped the trench coat out with a sweater vest and I gave him a scarf. I don’t like how the scarf reminds me of Beast, but I think it looks kinda good on him so I’ll leave it for now.

Dazai is both a weapon and a Meister like Chuuya, and during their double black partnership they would effortlessly swap roles mid-fight. He has only revealed his weapon side to the agency as of now.

Back when Double Black was still partnered up, he and Dazai would be able to trade off who was the weapon and who was the Meister flawlessly and they were the perfect team. Dazai was also the only Meister who could handle Chuuya’s corrupted form.

Chuuya now fights solo for the most part and is a professor at PM Academy.
