Mahmoud Almadhoun and his family run a soup kitchen that feeds thousands of starving people for free. Acquiring in bulk means they can get more food for less and giving the food away alleviates the control food scalpers have over the market.
Please send them any money you can spare, especially if you have anxiety over picking between individual families that need help. The soup kitchen having more resources means they can feed more families and be bigger competition to food scalpers, driving down food prices over all.

I support my family of 15 after my father was martyred in the cursed war that destroyed everything, but it seems that I will not be able to achieve my dream due to the brutal war on the Gaza Strip that completely destroyed our home, and despite the cruelty of the war, we did not leave North Gaza under inhumane conditions. This is Ashley, my old blog was palentonga. My blog was terminated a few weeks ago, almost certainly due to the rash of falsely reporting Palestinians and their supporters as being scammers. I asked my friend Lauren (me) to post this while I'm off tumblr. I'm making this post on behalf of @lailashaqoura and her family, whose campaigns I had been trying to support before my blog was terminated. Laila's fundraiser is listed as number 152 on the vetted fundraiser list, under the name Bassam Shaqoura. Laila is an eighteen year-old girl who is attempting to survive the ongoing genocide with her siblings and her pregnant mother. Her cousin, Tala, whose blog has been terminated, is also struggling with her siblings and her cancer-stricken mother. Their campaigns have been lagging severely lately, and need all the help they can get to continue. Border crossings are rare, but things still cost money in Gaza, and they need to be able to support themselves + have some money saved up in case they get the opportunity to escape. Conditions in Gaze have been getting worse and worse, and I fear every day for Laila and her mother.
I and several other artists, including @mimibayra , @theflowerpaw, @worthyofmygrace, @soapfriendotake2, and @rebecca-levin-art, are offering commissions in exchange for donations to Laila and Tala's campaigns, examples linked HERE. i actually really enjoy when people leave random objects in art galleries and people start treating them as if they're art. I think it puts people into a headspace where they start looking at normal objects differently and its an opportunity for them to realize that they can do this too outside of a gallery setting. You're not dumb or tricked for seeing something on the floor of a gallery and trying to figure it out or appreciating it as an art object. The world is full of beautiful and interesting objects even some random garbage on the street is worthy of that same level of examination. Theres art everywhere if you're primed to see it.
So I didn't get into the first art fest I applied to BUT applications go up the 30th for another one and I'll apply to that one too. And I've got the go ahead to table at a monthly drag show in town as well! I'm putting some event tabling items on my wishlist also there's still a rollator on there I've been trying to get to help me out as well physically.
