Inuyasha crying at Kikyou's final death is very moving but I think it's important to remember that by his own admission, he would not have been able to cry for her, before. It's only thanks to Kagome that he feels comfortable enough with himself to cry at all and show vulnerability to others. That's what really makes that moment beautiful to me. (Though in a bittersweet way, obviously.)

I also want to focus on the "What true strength and kindness is" line because to me this implies Kagome is the paragon of strength and kindness that Inuyasha wanted to model himself after. Obviously we all know that potential was already in him and Kagome coaxed it out and praised it from him, but I think it's really beautiful to hear Inuyasha thought of Kagome as his role model, in a way. After all, being brave in order to help people WAS one of the first compliments Inuyasha ever admitted to himself about her.

Chapter 12 is up! One reason for the long delay - moving all my worldly possessions from one location to another. Another reason for the long delay - the words coming out of my fingertips mutinied, would not do what I wanted, and had to be negotiated with in order to reach a mutually acceptable solution.

Lol I'm no good at writing summaries. I am back after a long hiatus! I fully thought I could keep a schedule writing this while dealing with some big life and work changes, but I was wrong! However, things have stabilized for me and now I'm writing again. I can't promise regular updates - but I do have most of chapter 11 written and chapter 12 outlined. Happy to be back and telling this story.

To everyone who’s read Eye of the Typhoon - I haven’t updated in a while. A few big changes in my personal life happened at once and I haven’t been able to do much more than lurk the past several months. Chapter 7 is up! Summary:  Kaede shows Kagome where to go where she WON'T get attacked by demons. Inuyasha does some errands for Totosai and finds something rather interesting.

I’d like to thank my writers block and upcoming professional examinations for making this a particularly difficult chapter to get out. Next chapter is gonna be a turning point :)

My first thought upon seeing this was that Kagome, like me, also has a pair of cowboy boots she’s only worn once. Did I also recently buy a big yellow backpack and think of her? Maybe...

One of the biggest reasons I decided to read the manga even though I've seen the anime a thousand times is because I wanted to see how the modern world was drawn. Look how cute kagome's outfit is here - a reward after all that intense emotional and physical action 💚

This is so amazing. Thank you so much to all the creators out there making amazing work to eclipse the confusing heartbreak that was yashahime.

I’ve always thought of how tragic Kaede’s childhood was, she lost her sister and Inuyasha all at the same time and had to grow up quickly to become the next village miko. Thinking about how she was probably lonely with her sister gone. And man I also think about how Inuyasha would always sit by her when she’s weeding or just sits in with her in her hut like that eats away at my feelings man.  Please do NOT repost on any other social media without my say so.

I took a bit of an unplanned hiatus while I visited family and family visited me. I don’t know why I thought it would be easy to write while seeing people every day.  Actually, I don’t know why I ever thought it would be easy to write an adventure romance scifi with world-building. I have felt very humbled by the experience of starting this story. Writing a story is so much harder than imagining it in your head. I have so much respect for all the fic writers out there. I bow to you! 🙇

I updated my story!

Thanks to everyone who read Chapter 1!  I had to build up courage to start writing and then to share this story online. I told myself, that even if no one reads it,  this is something I’d like to do for myself. LMAL was part of a prompt, so I didn't know about it before, and I am still reading it currently! (I am terrible at reading anything consistently atm!😩)

As for other fics, I haven't read many. There are SO many to choose from! I occasionally read some that are posted by people I follow here, or I will scroll AO3 and pick a random one. Apologies, I am terrible at keeping track what I read! 🙈

So honestly, if you or anyone have any good fics that YOU recommend, then I will read them! 😘
