day 1 of 30 days of code
honestly don't know if i can do something every day for a month, much less post about it on here regularly but i'm going to try. no pressure though, if i'm ill or super tired i'm allowed to skip a day or two. but i'm going to give it a go, even if some days it's like 10 lines that i write on my phone on my commute home. and i think it'll be easier to post on here because i just have to take a screenshot of my code.
anyway tonight i focused on user input validation because it's something i kinda forget about when working with functions.
kinda forgot about this blog but here's some pictures from the last few weeks. it's midterms season and i've been focusing on studying for exams instead of on programming practice, which i don't like. i'm thinking of doing sth like 30 days of code so i don't fall behind on my c++ studying, even if it's just a tiny bit done each day.
hope you're all doing well!
it's over!! 2/3 exams weren't bad and I really really hope I pass the third one (pray for me). but that's the end of second year. this blog will go back to being an actual codeblr during the summer because there's a lot I want to learn by myself without the pressure of uni.
day 17-19/30 of productivity
only a month till summer break. I'm exhausted but we shall finish strong 🧘🏾♀️

day 27/30 of productivity
today was the last day of class. I sincerely hope I never see these teachers again. didn't study because I had a headache (when do I don't) and I was on campus till 1pm and also because I just couldn't make myself study. spent an hour in the morning preparing for an evaluation for our assembly language class so I'm considering the day productive. the teacher actually changed his mind about the evaluation tho and I'm pissed off I wasted that one hour. Also: I dunno how people in med school and other more intense degrees study for long hours everyday I feel like I'm losing my mind and I've only been doing it for two weeks. this caption is long lol it got away from me but it's my blog and I can write a paragraph complaining about uni shit if I want to
day 14 + 15/30 of productivity
calc II mid exam prep. i am scared but I'm doing my best 🧘🏾♀️ first two photos are a cappuccino my brother brought me and a trip to the park a few days ago.
Hi! How did your final go? Btw what app are you using in your 11/30 dop?
hi, it went well thanks for asking :) and the app is siyuan-note. it's like notion but better in my opinion cos it's available offline too.
so the 60 days of productivity challenge did not work out and that's fine we can always start over. but I've realized the way I've been studying is fragmented and all over the place so I've decided that I must do the following things:
1. Learn java
2. Then finish the kotlin course
3. Then make an app
4. then study more c++
5. then do a project in c++
and this seems very ambitious but I'm not planning to be an expert in these languages anytime soon, just know enough to make stuff and grow my knowledge through practice. ideally I'd like to do all of these things by mid to late October. And I'll do projects throughout the year so I don't forget and can improve :)
I'm starting java today, I'll post a lot here to keep myself accountable and I hope I can do it. I'm excited to learn new languages and build things!
