the important thing to know about a gender swapped mob psycho is that nothing actually changes at all

So I've been meaning to comment on this for a long while, but I haven't for whatever reason. Does anyone else find the Bakugo and Todoroki friendship absolutely forced and fake? Because Bakugo is way too much like Endeavor, especiallyin the beginning. If anything, I find it way more likely that Todoroki would be triggered by someone like Bakugo since he acts and behaves so much like Endeavor. And please don't come at me with that whole "Bakugo has changed and grown" crap. That apology he gave in season 6 was manipulative at best! It was a bunch of excuses, and the fact that he ended it with that whole "this doesn't change anything" just made me hate him more, if anything. But yeah, I just find the whole Todoroki Bakugo friendship wrong. Especially since Todoroki is so close with Midoriya, and he grew up in an abusive home. He may have been sheltered, but I doubt he'd be able to ignore the red flags in Bakugo and Midoriya's relationship, especially after the sports festival.
MHA Volume 33...not going to enjoy most of this I bet
Why does Bakugou get to have an opinion about Izuku? Many of Izuku's issues are Bakugou's fault! Society as a whole bears some responsibility but for real...Bakugou was the on-site bully...and not only toawrds Izuku.
Also...trying to bring Izuku in by attacking him? Way to make him feel "loved". Maybe it's not the "right" call for him to be a loner, but it's Izuku's choice.
Plus this whol series has been a confusing mass of "don't rely on others" and "rely on others" with Izuku forever being the one punished for not picking right each time.

This is Kaori, she’s the Hidden Wood (Kobayashi clan) village doctor and the first wife to the clan leader Jiro Kobayashi. Her personality is quite timid but she is very stubborn when she wants to. Her work with medicine and herbs is unmatched to anyone, her passione to help people comes off as healing to the point the marking on her forehead appeared after her patients are properly nursed back to health.
But due to her patients being healed from even the most life threatening condition she was seen as a witch in her old village and was treated so poorly that she was banished from the village. When she stumbled upon the Hidden Wood village she healed an injured bear and it guided her into the village. The elders saw that she was no threat and had them tended to an injured Jiro. Once nursed back to health they fell in love and got married. He gifted her that hair pin she wears.
Jiro also has two other wives, after marrying Kaori he marries Tenshi who was a fellow hashira that he met through his sister Akira and lastly the women he was formerly engaged to named Ares. Who unfortunately got married by Tengen after Jiro called it off due to a family crisis.

Aaaaa I wish I could make some art to accompany this post, but I can't do so in the moment and I really want to express my "post-epilogue Mob and Tsubomi friendship" thoughts. LONG text below.
They start talking some time after Confession Arc, but their bond actually begins after Tsubomi moves from Seasoning City. She enjoys having someone to tell her how things are going on her hometown, as she didn't keep in touch with all of her school friends and misses how life was in Seasoning. This helped her to get more used to this drastic change on routine.
It was... awkward on the start. Mob had to process that Tsubomi was nothing like the perfect concept that lived on his head, besides the fact that she was upset by people idealizing her (its not nice to know you're part of the problem). Tsubomi on the other hand needed to shut down her slight suspicion built with the experience of bad rejection aftermaths and trust in Mob's intentions. After all, he was her good childhood friend
It doesn't take much for them to get over this, though. Mob comes to care a lot for the real Tsubomi and makes an active effort to know her better. This flawed, human Tsubomi was different, but she was a dear person to him and so it wasn't an issue. Tsubomi is relieved to see Mob's desire to become her friend was genuine (and feels a little bad for doubting). She was glad to get back in touch with him after so such a long time and got impressed with how much he had matured without her noticing. In a way, she also used to see him as that little boy from years ago...
They talk to each other by phone almost daily, speaking of how was their day and sending random stuff. If anything happens, they sure would inform the other.
Mob discovers she likes the yellow cat plush and keeps showing her cats he saw. Tsubomi tries to read some of his favorite manga to understand what he is talking about.
Tsubomi got overwhelmed with how much her school life changed in her new city. She was very happy to not being treated as a deity, but also wasn't used to being a common student. Mob helps her to become adjusted to a normal life and stop wearing the mask she was forced to use in Salt Mid. He understands how weird it is like to be your own vulnerable, true self next to others.
In exchange, Tsubomi's experience proves to be very valuable when Mob gets more attention from his peers and has to face social situations he never participated of before. Parties are stressing. She too recognizes he is still learning to express himself and is happy to see how he opens up with her.
Althought Tsubomi learns to be more authentic over time, she still struggles with demanding too much of herself. She panicked after thinking she didn't do good in her exams, and Mob spends an hour explaining that she isn't special and how its bad to expect she'll be flawless all the time. Besides that, her skills shouldn't define her worth as a person, as she is much more than her results. Tsubomi remembers this.
Mob often asks for Tsubomi's opinion. Sure, Reigen is still his go-to for advice, but some topics are more comfortable to talk with someone his age. Mob really values Tsubomi's confident honesty and her practical, direct solutions. He also feels safe talking with her because he knows that despite being blunt, she wouldn't say anything to hurt him.
They visit each other occasionally when they're on high school! The train rides are quite long, though, so most times it's more practical to invite more people and have a sleepover. Mob and Tsubomi's respective friends know the other pretty well.
Chapter 9 Highlights
///
>“I’m sorry.” Nanami felt fatigue sweep through him, anticipating Tiana’s next words as he immediately gripped her hands into his. “I’m sorry, I am. Really.” His eyes searched for hers. “Please…just don’t…” He sounded so pathetic, like a beggar on the chilly winter streets of Shibuya, and Tiana’s heart swayed like a nimble branch in the wind.
Got the man wrapped around her finger crying like a dog 😭 damn boy. But aweee I feel bad for the two
>“No more special favors. Or treatments that may be interpreted as special favors. Treat me like everyone else.” Tiana squeezed his hands as reassurance that she wasn’t angry anymore. She was a bit torn. She wanted Nanami to care for her in his own way, that’s where she screwed up before. But even still, there were limitations and boundaries that shouldn’t be crossed.
Possessive / Protective!Nanami AU be like: Hmm, Hmm, let me just nod and pretend to agree while I’m planning the next 48 ways to spoil her.
>When Nanami’s breath tickled the tips of Tiana’s ear, scorching it, she suddenly realized where she was and who she was. As quick as a bullet, she straightened herself out, the back of her head butting into Nanami’s chin so hard that his neck was thrown backwards.
DOINK!
>. What she really needed was some- “Water.” She practically yelled, causing Nanami to jolt. “Water?” He repeats looking down at her “Water. I need it.” She said sitting up abruptly as Nanami’s arm limply fell back to his lap. “I’m kind of thirsty, are you thirsty?”)
Oh Tiana’s thirsty alright….but then I’d argue Nanami’s also hungry. A meal deal indeed
>Nanami’s face was stone cold as he glared at the TV trying to withhold his laughter, unbeknownst to Tiana of course.
HELP THIS IS HOW I IMAGINE NANAMIS FACE TO BE: 🗿🗿🗿🗿 And I rarely say these type of things but hes probably mogging
>“That…” Tiana felt her own jaw ache from how slack it hung on her face from Nanami selling the food’s taste so well, “looks so good…” “I told you to order what you wanted.” Nanami hums as he takes another bite. “I know, I know, but…” She pouted a bit, eying her soup. Suddenly, it didn’t seem as appetizing. It looked inferior. “Just…one bite…” She leans forward, inching closer to his plate. Nanami looks at her with feigned indignation.
AWEEEEE SO THEY ARE DATING!! YESS!! YESS!! YEEESSSSSS
>With that, Tiana becomes hyper-aware of their points of contact. How his leg was positioned behind hers, causing her to feel his knee prodding her body. The way her butt pressed into his hip, narrowly missing the front of his body by a centimeters. How her shoulder rested on his chest, a steady rhythm coming from it, compared to hers which was threatening to erupt from her chest.
OOOUUU 👀👀👀👀👀NOW WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE???
>Today, she thought. Today I’ll be normal. I won’t be weird. Her door clicks open, and she jolts as Nanami stands there with a raised brow. “I kept calling your phone?” He said, his voice a bit concerned. “You still need more time?” “No, no…” Tiana blushes, fixing her discarded throw pillows and then smoothing her hair which definitely looked wild from rolling around.
GIRL STOP TRYING TO FIGHT IT!! STOOOOP
>But when Nanami flipped the hospital lights on, she twisted her lips.Everything was gray.
The walls? Gray. The furniture? Gray. The counters of his kitchen? Granite. The only other color was the accents of black; picture frames, nobs, handles, and some floating shelves that had books with spines that were…gray.
Oh lord. Bring that Mr.Logic man some goddamn colour. The way how youre describing his house you’d think Tianas being transported to a psych ward. JKJK its his preference who am I to judge lol
>Tiana growing up was labeled as a nosy child, a little girl who was always in the midst of grown folks conversations. But even now after being given permission to snoop, she tried to keep it in check.)
Heeheehee I can almost imagine that
>She caught a whiff of incense, and it tickled her nose. She hesitated, tiptoeing closer. She didn’t know why, but something told her not to disturb that place, so she trotted up the stairs after a moment.)
Maybe a shrine of some sorts? A homage to his deceased loved one? Ill admit I dont watch JJK but I do know he used to have a bestfriend that died in some battle at a young age I think
>It's a shrine.” Nanami speaks so quickly that Tiana barely catches it.
Just got on this part. I knew it! Bless his heart man
>”I’ve never been a religious person.” Nanami sighs. “The one thing everyone who has ever lived has in common is that we will all eventually meet our end. Death doesn’t play favorites when it comes to that, and he can’t be cheated. He doesn’t favor a specific denomination, so it’s shed along with the flesh. We can’t hold onto either in death.”
Damn, harsh but I respect his way of viewing death. (Quick side note as a non practicing spiritualist I find myself being more empathetic with atheists and satanists view on life.). I wonder what you headcanon Tiana to be. Agnostic perhaps?
>The size of an inflated basketball but holding the weight of a growing child and her immeasurable guilt. “Three months.” She whispered, dabbing at her eyes. “Just three more months.”
Aweee Charlottee. Please do tell Tiana :((
If you have been keeping up with my Tianami Fic MISTY (AND YOU SHOULD BE, NO PRESSURE THO), please take the time to vote. I am having a bit of a battle on where I want the story to go, so a certain situation will now be put in your hands. You are responsible for Tianami's fate. Don't worry about what the numbers mean! Heh heh...
Tianami drabbles are also otw. Could be read as standalone or fic-continuations.
Lastly, please feel free to ask questions about the fic or the world they reside in. I will be answering them soon enough.
Thank you all for the support! Enjoy the new chapter!
Hey, I saw a fic of redemption Toga fic (with a good dash of time travel) and all fine and good, not here to talk about the fic but...
Have you noticed how the entrance exam makes no sense? I meant the scores and how the teachers (dont recall in canon, but fics love to say "oh those teachers were fascinated by student X and Y" I think it isnt canon) were watching.
Its a school for heroes so why have "villain points"? If a person has villain points shouldn't she or he be expelled (unless the villain points is fanon)
And say it has an explanation. Ok, why the students have to fight a giant robot? Again, assuming it has an explanation...
We are never given any reason for how the students are graded and selected in the classes. What is the big deal on class A1? Shinso seems to think they are the best and resents not be there....why?
Hori never developed the academy part of a story called MY HERO ACADEMY.
Hi @mikeellee 👋,
I think the entrance exam was meant to test a couple of things -
How good are you at beating up things? Bakugou obviously excelled at this, he's been practising beating people (mainly Izuku) up all his life 😒
How resourceful are you? See Toru who even with just invisibility managed to score enough points to get in the hero course.
And - the hidden point of can you put aside the competition to save someone? Here Izuku did and at great detriment to himself for the sake of Uraraka - this obviously singled him out as having great heroic spirit.
I have no idea why class 1A were given all the hatred / ire when 1B as a fellow hero class were right there as their equals.
With Shinsou - canonically he seems to have a victim complex, he seems sour he couldn't just skate through to the hero course with his powerful quirk in that entrance exam. Let's use the ideas I just mentioned for a second with the entrance exam
1) he's at a disadvantage of not having a naturally combative quirk like Bakugou.
2) he obviously isn't resourceful or clever in battle like Toru since he didn't score enough points to get into the hero course despite this.
3) he obviously didn't try to use his quirk to save someone like Izuku did (maybe there just wasn't someone to save in his exam) or maybe he saw someone in trouble and didn't help them.
These are all things I thought of and established in 10 minutes when Hori never bothers to explore any of this. Despite being called "My Hero Academia " Hori never bothers to explore the academia aspect of the series which is a massive waste.
A few more accurate names for this series have come to my jaded mind (please forgive the bitterness.)
"My Hero Kacchan" - all the Bakugou simping make me think Hori would prefer him instead of Izuku as the MC half the time.
"It's ok if we do it! A stunning story of hero hypocrisy."
"Our Abuser academia" - not where Abusers learn to be better and to stay the fuck away from their victims but where the other characters learn to forgive the abuser if they cry.
First attempt at drawing him
