How appropriate.
Kyojuro if he would have survived
I decided to do this solely based on canon, except for F which are so bad that they transcend the rule. I also put this in the lens of do I enjoy watching them, or do they infuriate me. Most of the ones in G are there because I can't tell who they are from the picture, or are so minor I don't get why they were on the list to begin with
Hawks was the hardest to place because as I've mentioned before I love villain fanon Hawks, and hate Canon for all the missed potential and the guy being shit.
Before the last arc, Deku would have been in C, and I felt most criticisms of him were undeserved. I still feel a lot of them are dumb, however, he's canonically a hypocritical, suck-up to labels, abuse apologist, idiot, etc. As much as it feels like character assassination it's canon, same with Shoji. I also just don't care to read fanfiction of him, and feel he takes a lot of roles where other characters would make more sense. If I'm not already following someone I'm not going to read fanfiction with him in it
Most of E I hate as much if not more than F but the fandom either doesn't write about, or treat them like the pieces of crap they are, looking at Mineta of course.
Fun fact Edgeshot is in E for bringing Bakugo back, and causing me both meta and dramatic issues for me. What the fuck was the point of killing Bakugo to immediately bring him back. How the fuck did Edgeshot know he could do this? How the fuck did he know how to do this? Why the fuck is he doing this for some random teenager he has never interacted with before, in the middle of a war? And now why the fuck does this fucker get to live, no one gave a single fuck about Edgeshot but he gets to live!
Centipeder would have been in E if not for the fact I know what my ringtone for him would be, Red Flags by Tom Cardy
Uraraka owes her rank in B for her arc with Toga, otherwise, she would have been in D. For the plot forgoing her original motivations so they could turn her into a generic love interest. Toga tried talking crushes with her 'twice' everything else regarding that shit, which started before they ever met, is on her
I actually love Endeavor fanfics as most of them either a treat his abuse for what it is, or b I view them as an own on canon Endeavor and his incredible laziness and selfishness. But Twitter exists and they flock to him and his bullshit so to F with him.
Speaking of Fs, Bakugo is a whiney spoiled rotten brat with a silver spoon shoved into his mouth since birth. I hope he never breeds. Damn near every shit thing that has happened to him, was either brought on by himself, literally applied to everyone, he literally doesn't care, and even with the two exceptions I'd give this, the Sludge guy, and being chained up at the sports fest (he should have been disqualified), do not justify his shit
Congrats to Dark Shadow and Tokoyami for being the only hero (student) to make it past B
Needless to say I love villains, Dabi is by far my favourite, followed by Himiko, they are way more engaging and convincing than the heroes. And by convincing I mean it actually feels like they are going to put in effort to make their goals happen, not just wish really hard. I truly wish we could have seen how Shigaraki's goals shifted during his reign over the PLF. We had already seen how he wanted the League to be happy and an exception to his goal of destruction
if you have the Honey browser extension installed, uninstall it immediately. big big story broke on youtube today strongly indicating that Honey has been massively defrauding basically everyone who does any business with them at every level, including influencers, customers, and actual retailers.
the short version of ONE of the alleged crimes is that they've been hijacking referral links and codes. if you have honey installed on your browser at all, and you use any referral code from anyone, there is a high probability honey will swap out the referral link identifier for their own even if they don't provide a coupon at checkout.
they also are just lying to you, and hiding coupons that very much exist. they're completely fraudulent
paypal bought honey in 2019 for 4 billion, so paypal has been strip mining the influencer economy for 5 years now. the amount of money that's been essentially stolen is unfathomable
Remember those jjk crack ships?
I made legit ship Childs of them lol guess who is the parents of who lol
Kaminari and Tsuyu’s underutilisation really grinds my gears because they had SUCH potential to be really interesting characters who would have fleshed out areas of the story that were otherwise lacking. Like just off the top of my head:
Kaminari has a pretty high social intelligence. He’s generally pretty good at diffusing stressful situations, handling difficult people, and connecting with others regardless of their origins. All of which are skills it would have been REALLY useful for Deku to develop if the end goal was for him to save villains. Additionally Kaminari’s struggle to control and utilise his very destructive quirk, which effectively damages him if he uses it too much, could have acted as a more open, smaller and closer to home comparison to Dabi’s situation, providing the main cast with a starting point for understanding some of what he went through.
Tsuyu is really the person who should have been given the mutant plot line. Unlike Shoji, she was a character we’d actually spent time with, and even if the plot line was last minute, Tsuyu had in text things that could be built off, like her difficulty making friends due to her appearance, and the fact she’s shown to be hesitant of using certain powers (like regurgitation) because she feels they’re gross. Additionally, Tsuyu internship seemed to be setting her up to be a sea based hero, an environment that people often (famously) need to be saved from, but also an environment where heroes will always be needed even if their jobs lack the glamour of villains to fight.
Yeah, I agree.
Tsuyu was an early favorite of mine, so I was really sad to see her fade into a really lame storyline where she could add nothing.
I think both Tsuyu and Shoji could have been used in the mutant plotline (and Tokoyami + Kouda), but it also should have been built much earlier - showing microaggressions, slowly weaving in the type of discrimination that heteromorphs face. And it should have been resolved better than telling heteromorphs to be "good victims" and solving it by giving Shoji an award.
And yes, Tsuyu absolutely should have been a sea-side water-based rescue hero and not continue to exist to be Ochako's emotional trashcan in a wildly imbalanced "friendship" well into her late 20s.
Kaminari to me actually had some nice highlights in that he was one of the only students ever showing emotions like fear in battle situations (like he did in the PLF War). What I really wanted is a pay-off for his friendship with Bakugou. I think it would have been awesome to see him defend Bakugou's body when the Twice clones swarmed Floating UA and restart his heart in the end, instead of the self-exploding sweat nonsense.
Part of why I love Muzan in KnY is because I relate to him. While his objective actions in the story are obviously evil, I think he’s a lot more sympathetic than the writers want him to be. This essay explores Muzan’s backstory, his treatment by the narrative, and my feelings toward the use of his character. As such, it contains MAJOR MANGA SPOILERS. THIS IS YOUR WARNING. This piece is not trying to “cancel” KnY for ableism or to say anything about the views of the mangaka/anime screenwriters/etc. I enjoyed KnY, and if you’re thinking about giving it a shot, I do recommend it. This is just a self-reflective piece that I wrote to process my own experiences with chronic illnesses in my own life and analyze the nuances of a piece of media that I love.

Bruh, I haven’t used this account in forever 💀. Tbf, I’ve been way too focused on other things that I haven’t even thought about MHA since it’s ended.
Anyways, reason I’m making this post is to highlight that people on Twitter are waking up to the fact that Katsuki’s poorly written, so it looks like the honeymoon phase of MHA is coming to an end. Obviously he’s still got his stans, but the fact people are feeling more comfortable with pointing out his flaws is a victory in it of itself. Probably also helps that most of them have grown up. Also, keep in mind that the account I usually browse Twitter casually with hasn’t interacted with any MHA posts, so it’s not like I’m being recommended these posts due to prior engagements. These were found completely in the wild. I thought sharing this might cheer some of you up. With the crazy world we live in, sometimes the small and petty victories are worth celebrating 😂.
In other news, I thought I’d let you all know that I do plan on eventually writing one big, final review on Katsuki and MHA in general, but that’s something that’ll happen in the future when I get the time to do so. Same goes for answering all the asks that have built up and will continue to build up over my absence (sorry for that).
Hope y’all stay safe and healthy until then 😊🙌
If you were to ask me how would I describe Bakugo’s development in short words, it would come across as being boring and predictable. Let’s start with the fact that despite being a secondary character, Bakugo has no real purpose/contribution in the main story line. His involvement with Deku and OFA doesn’t amount to anything other than mindless yelling, guilt tripping, and just him treating it as a competition to try and surpass Deku when he unlocks his other quirks. The only reason he’s involved in a lot of what’s going on is because of his popularity. He started gaining popularity when he won the Sports festival and because everyone like the stereotypical angry rival trope. He can be replaced by literally any other character and nothing would change.
It’s basically a pattern whenever Bakugo is involved with something.
- Bakugo will treat others beneath him and continue to call the extras.
- Whatever is going in the story if it’s a fight between the villains or something school related, he’ll treat it as a competition.
- He’ll either verbally attack Deku and everyone around them or get physical to get what he wants.
- Deku won’t see this as an issue and continue to gush over Bakugo about how he’s a good friend and the idea of him being the symbol of victory
-Anyone that calls out his horrible behavior will do a complete 180 and talk about how whatever he said either makes sense or to give some baseless excuse about how he changed
- Aizawa, All Might and or anyone in UA will make some claim about how his some kind of an inspiration for 1A and Bakugo is trying harder than everyone else(completely ignoring all of 1A’s accomplishments and improvements throughout their first year)
- After winning or coming out on top whatever Bakugo will take his win for granted and will act like it doesn’t mean anything while acting aggressive when someone compliments him
- What ever punishment or consequences he gets(not matter how fatal is) will be minor and the story will find to way to have him come out at top without any struggle
- The story will have characters feel bad, guilty for Bakugo for something so minuscule and or try to punish them in a similar manner like Bakugo (A recent example of the story punishing characters because of Bakugo’s actions is in the Card OVA. I didn’t bother watching it because I knew it was just a product plug for training cards but from what I viewed from other people’s discussions, the match between Deku and Bakugo ends with a tie. Apparently Bakugo threw another hissy fit and not only destroyed the card game but blew up the dorm with everyone inside. Instead of punishing Bakugo for destroying public property and potentially injuring his classmates, Aizawa decides to punish all of Class 1A and ban them from playing any other games in the dorm.)
I know everyone has their own interpretation on how they feel about Bakugo and that’s perfectly fine. I don’t have problem if you like him, but Bakugo is written as if everything he did or stood for never mattered. Izuku, Class 1A , UA and by extension Horikoshi, wants the audience to believe that all the positive aspects about his character somehow outweigh the negatives and we’re supposed to accept that Bakugo has fully grown while at the same time instantly forgiving him for being a spiteful and petty bully. No matter what happens to him, he’ll still come out on top as if what he went through wasn’t consequential or lethal. He’s constantly giving wins and random asspulls to favor him despite either doing the bare minimum of his supposed development or not doing anything at all. Bakugo in the eyes of others will always be seen as the true MVP and is the one that always has to win. He’s nothing but a pet under the care of his creator who will go out of his way to make every other character look bad and pathetic than they already are; including the main protagonist.
