hogwarts band dr lore drop: except it’s just that half my band’s discography comes from me crashing out weekly over my two boyfriends (when they aren’t my boyfriends yet)

Like seriously— George, Ginny, and Fred are gonna hate to see me coming to band practice like “hey guys I’ve been writing this new song—“ and it’s just me being down bad and insane.

But holy hell do we come up with some bangers. Just three gingers and my neapolitan dyed hair ass in the room of requirement using my absolutely diabolical feelings to create masterpieces— and also their stuff too like Ginny’s shitty exes and George’s constant ability to find himself in a situationship.

God I love my silly little band and our silly little songs.

I totally intend to post our albums and stuff because yes I have stolen every song from this reality and that’s okay— I’m sure we’ll write our own stuff too. But I’ve scripted so much I’be basically planned two eps and six albums 😳

“I didn’t shift, what did I do wrong?”

I feel like that’s something most of us have thought about at least once. waking up and immediately trying to figure out what we did wrong.

today, I woke up here again and the first thing I thought about was exactly that. because tell me why this keeps happening over and over again? why am I against myself? what’s not working? but thankfully (!!), I clocked myself with “if you keep looking for mistakes, that’s all you’re gonna focus on instead of just moving forward.” and that literally made me stop in my tracks.

it’s very easy to spiral over what went wrong, to repeatedly look for mistakes within ourselves, as if it has to be a reason why you didn’t shift those times. but what I realized is that when things don’t go as planned, our ego steps in and starts to analyze what went wrong and trying to find solutions.

“if we find the problem, we can fix it!” but here’s the issue. the more we look for mistakes, the more we focus on the past, replaying what didn’t work, instead of just simply moving forward. it’s like driving a car while only looking in the rearview mirror instead of at the road ahead. if we keep searching for what went wrong, we might completely miss what’s actually going right.

shifting was never about how hard you tried, how strongly you believed, if you let go enough or whether you had the right mindset. it never was. so, if there’s anything I can tell you (and myself) is this: keep going. yes, keep going. you probably expected something more fun than that but honestly, you already know everything. you know how to shift. there’s nothing more to say.

the only, only and ONLY thing you need to do now is to keep focusing on your goal, because please tell me what happens when you keep going? yeah, that’s right. you succeed. you shift. not because you figured everything out or stepped up your game, but because you simply refused to stop.

your goal is the only thing that matters. not the doubts, not the (what it feels like) failures and not how you feel in certain moments. just your goal!

and, remember: looking for mistakes and wondering “what went wrong” only keeps you trapped in the same old cycle you’ve been in this whole time.

it’s time to let go of the past and focus on your true goal: your reality. <3

you don’t repeatedly check with the chef to see if your food is done yet. you don’t repeatedly check the oven to see if your cookies are done. you don’t repeatedly check your seed to see if it’s grown. you simply trust that it’s being taken care of. so, just because you’re not seeing your shifting progress does not mean it’s not happening, even when it may feel the opposite.

EMMA, MY BELOVED, I DEVASTATINGLY NEED YOUR HELP. So nowadays when I wanna shift I do my thing and then fall asleep and wake up and go back to sleep again hoping to shift then wake up and this cycle continues. Then I realize I've wasted my precious time here and haven't shifted and just fall behind things in life in general. (I try to shift around the afternoon because I usually fall asleep at night) What do I do to end this cycle? It's become very unhealthy and I can't seem to stop because I have hope to shift.

you need to stop using sleep as a trapdoor. like i get it. i get it so bad. you're clinging instead of claiming. shift awake. shift before sleep. shift while brushing your teeth. shift while doomscrolling. shift before you even think about sleeping. you're not stuck, you're just trying to break through a door that was never locked. stand up. you're allowed to choose it now. you're allowed to shift in the middle of being alive

I put so much thought into my discographies— not just for my hogwarts band dr but wherever I write songs, which is more often than not. So, yeah.

the idea that belief is the key to a successful shift is nothing more than an assumption. a useless limitation someone made up. yes, straight to the point. how do I know this though? because I’ve gotten my desires while holding on to hope with barely any belief that it would work. the only thing I did was persist, no matter what I felt about it.

if you have trouble believing you’ll actually shift, that is not the end of the world. in my opinion, the only thing that actually matters is your desire and decision to shift. like. that’s it. allow yourself to hope, wish, even be desperate and still be successful in the end, because tell me why the simplest desire to shift wouldn’t be enough?

the reason you’re not shifting is not because you don’t believe in yourself. it’s because you believe you can’t shift if you lack belief. that mindset keeps you stuck, not your doubts. there’s a difference.

people treat belief like it’s some magical requirement, but that’s honestly so limiting. belief isn’t something you need to succeed. in fact, I’d argue that belief comes after you’ve done it a few times. just like anything else in life you once doubted, but did anyway. remember, you’re not waiting for belief to appear — belief grows through experience.

I’ve seen countless people say things along the lines of, “hope won’t get you anywhere.” or “you need to believe you already have it.” and it genuinely makes me frustrated. I get that it can be helpful for some, but to claim that belief is needed just sounds so wrong to me. everyone loves to throw around the word assumption, and this is a perfect example of one. it’s not a fact. it’s not a rule. it’s just someone’s assumption that belief is required for them to shift.

some of us have been here for years with little to no success, and I think I can speak for many of us when I say that it’s really not that easy to walk around full of belief and confidence every single day. and you know what? that’s okay. it’s okay to hope. it’s okay to want something without fully believing it’ll happen right at that moment. personally, I know I’ll shift eventually and that alone is enough for me!

the idea that you need belief is what complicates it, but shifting isn’t reserved for those with strong beliefs. shifting is for anyone who wants it, and if you want to shift, that’s enough!! I promise you, it really can be as simple as a single desire. you’re allowed to want it and let that be enough. end of story.

you decide , not in the hallmark way. not in the "i believe in myself <3" way. i mean you decide. like a court ruling. you don't wait for the "symptoms." you legislate the outcome. this is not poetry . . but policy. you assume , belief is nice. like good weather. but irrelevant. nobody asks the pilot if he believes in turbulence. it happens anyway. what matters is assuming. and you already do. the way your body knows how to flinch before the slap. the way dogs know when someone's evil. you don't have to "believe to assume" in the shift. you are the shift. ignore the 3d , as in: pretend the world is on mute. your current reality is not real if you think it's not. the 3d is just a reflection of your mindset. a card deck. shuffle. you shift because you said so , that's it. no further verification required. you don't need binaurals or scripts or a bedtime routine you just do it.

Just because you haven't shifted yet doesn't mean you can't Will you trust in what I'll tell you? Just for the duration of this post? You are not broken, not doing it wrong. There isn't anything like "not spiritual enough" or "not aligned enough", "not ready enough" or any of the crap that your inner doubts viciously whisper into your ear at 3AM. You are just a person, just human. Someone trying something so weird, hard, strange and yet something so beautiful like shifting, and something most of the world doesn't even believe in. That takes guts. Shifting isn't a linear, one-size-fits-all thing. Shifting isn't a video game you master by leveling up and spending thousands of hours on it. There is no test, finish line, invisible scoreboard you need to glance at. Just because you haven't shifted yet doesn't mean you are failing. Doesn't mean that you aren't trying hard enough or that you are missing something. Just means your 4D and your 3D haven't lined up yet. But that doesn't mean they never will. Honestly said, you could shift tonight. Tomorrow. Next week. In six months when you least expect it. You could shift in the middle of doing something completely unrelated. The nature of shifting seems to be unpredictable, personal and unproveable until you experience it yourself. Should I tell you something else? Nothing you ever did to shift was wasted. Not the time you spent scripting, visualizing, hoping, crying, failing and trying once again. It all matters in the moment, but once you reach your goal, it will not matter any longer how long it took you. You are not running backwards. There’s something I see often, and maybe it’ll sound familiar.

You try to shift. It doesn’t work.

You meditate. Your mind drifts.

You try to manifest. You spiral into doubt.

And you end the night scrolling through pages of people who make it look effortless. And you sit there and wonder, perhaps with tears in your eyes: why am I the exception?

You’re not.

You’re overcomplicating something so simple.

Shifting, astral projection, manifesting; all of that? It's simple.

It’s not about effort.

It's not how many times you can do xyz until you're bored to tears.

It's not about methods with 20 steps.

It's not about any of that.

The internet has oversaturated your mind with ideas disguised as aid. In the name of help, it throws a thousand posts, methods, and ideals at your face, but all it really does is confuse you.

So what is manifestation/shifting/APing about then?

It’s about remembering your native state.

Presence. Power. Confidence. That knowing.

The part of you that doesn’t need the script. The part of you that doesn’t need 5 hours of affirmations. The part of you that just knows.

It’s buried under the noise, but it’s still there.

You knew it as a child.

You felt it when you talked to the sky and expected a reply.

If a fairy cast a spell over you so that thinking as if something was true = it being true, would you be saying that's too hard? Would you seriously be like "Fuck you magical fairy, you can't possibly expect me to think something that's not true" ?

Because that's what half of you are doing now. "How do I think as if when the 3D says otherwise" You say the words in your head. You repeat words in your head.

Your thoughts are not chained to the physical world and there is no material consequence to thinking contrary to the 3D in the privacy of your own mind.

Changing your beliefs is uncomfortable, accepting that you are literally all powerful is uncomfortable, growth is uncomfortable. You have to choose between the pain of everything staying the same and the pain of growth.

Would you go to a fairy and be like "your spell doesn't work. No I didn't think about it as if I had it, why would I do that if I don't have it??" That's how you sound.

If you Google law of assumption it'll tell you that it's literally just thinking as if you have already manifested it. If you don't want to do that then why ask me how to apply the law of assumption? The law is the law, if you ask me about the law I will tell you to think as if you already have it.

I’ve mentioned this before, but I used to be very attached to the idea of being me in my drs. I mean like same interests same personality same look same trauma same everything—

but recently i’ve embraced being me, in essence, just different variants.

And it’s fun as hell.

I get to make playlists for my drs and fill them with the artists I’d listen to most in my dr. Mazzy Star fills my Hogwarts Academia playlist, I’m currently adding Paramore’s entire discography to my Inheritance Games playlist. These aren’t artists I necessarily gravitate towards here, but they resonate with the version of me in that reality.

I change my name, I change my past, I find new ways to be who I am without living the same history over and over again. The essence is there, and that is what truly matters to me. It was never about my life experiences, it was about my soul.

I can change my hair, my aesthetic, my interests— but nothing will change my heart.

Not your fave manifestation coach, not your astrology mutual, not the girl on TikTok with the aesthetic affirmations, not the blogger who is giving you reality shifting advice, not the void success story post you reblogged twelve times. Just you. You are the operant power. You are the one choosing the assumptions. So if you’re not deciding the story you want, you’re just letting your subconscious run wild off old patterns and nonsense.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎You wanna change your life? Change the narrative. Talk to your subconscious like it's your easily influenced little sister. Be like, “Hey babe, we’re rich and loved and everything is working out perfectly the way I want it to be, okay?” And it'll go, “Ohhh okay girlie, got it.” That’s it. That's quite literally it.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎So go crazy. Be dramatic. Be annoyingly certain. Persist. Command it. Whatever you tell it as your truth, your subconscious is listening—and it's ready to believe whatever you say next.

i love you guys. seriously. but no matter how many times we tell you how simple the law is, that everything and anything is possible, you still find some way to question the smallest things that don’t even matter.

“did you believe your affs?”, “did you affirm 24/7?”, “was it instant?”, “how long did it take?”, “but i feel like people still look the same even though they-“, “your success stories are fake and you know that the law isn’t all that”, “i’m really trying to believe in the law but i-“, “you’re avoiding my asks. are you sure the law-“, “please tell me the law is real, im-“

if you’re so logical, ask yourself if 200+ manifestation blogs would spend hours on long informational posts just to LIE? do you see the tip button? do you see that they plugged their venmo, paypal, kofi? offering coaching? do you think THOUSANDS of people would be on anon sending in success stories talking about how much they struggled and finally manifested their dreams? if you’ve been on tumblr long enough, you know that the likes to reblog ratio is insane, so don’t you think liars would be better off on tiktok or twitter?

i don’t think i’ve ever seen a community that devoted so much time into posts and answering many many long asks as much as loassumption tumblr. it’d be hard to still think it’s some kind of hoax after considering all that.

i know that all this logical thinking and anxiety stems from fear and all that we were taught growing up but it’s UP TO YOU whether or not, staying in one place, scared of the what if’s and failure is going to GET YOU WHERE YOU WANT. STEP. UP from your limitations. GAIN COURAGE. it’s now or never. literally what are you waiting for?

you know it makes sense. you know it’s possible. you know you don’t have to believe your affirmations. so it wouldn’t hurt to try the law even if you suspect it so much. what’s the worst that can happen by saying beneficial affirmations everyday?

i’m so happy that you discovered the law of assumption and the fact that you can live your dream life, my love but that won’t change if you worsen your mental health, reading so many posts a day when you know what to do. don’t just abandon common sense. if you know that your mental health is at risk but you’re constantly scrolling on your phone, beating yourself up for “not being able to manifest correctly” take a step back and reflect on your actions. don’t you see you’re only doing more damage?

with love, i advise you to take a step back, get off your phone, stop wallowing in the things you can control. take action to better yourself and take the time you need. take deep breaths and tell yourself everything is okay.

from personal experience, you really don’t need to have the belief OR the feeling of already having your desire in order to get it. you can hope, wish, even be desperate and still be successful in the end. because genuinely, in what world wouldn’t you be able to shift or manifest with JUST the thought of wanting it? because to me, that’s just a useless limitation and that’s not something I’m going to hold onto!

I just needed to get this off my chest because I’ve seen an unlimited number of blogs saying things along the lines of, “hope won’t get you anywhere.” or “in order to get what you want, you need to believe that you have it.” and I call that B U L L S H I T. like, what the hell guys. 😭😭

STOP TRYING

Look, there's nothing to manifest, because it's already yours. You don't have to try anything, I say it in all my posts, decide that what you want is yours because it is. I know it seems too easy to be true, but it is. And it pisses me off when you demand bloggers to explain things more, because there is nothing else to explain. Stop trying, stop looking, relax, it's yours.
