Mer Prompt #104

A cave mer, friends with the bats that frequent their home. And with a spinal fin so large the tiny critters hang themselves on the fin without worry.

A few of the bats even hang onto the fins that are situated at the sides of the mer’s face/head.

this day has lasted eons. i have become an old god. 

“The cops don’t bother me anymore,” they said, grimly, looking out to the violence one street down. “Not after the incident.”

“It’s a little too late to be doing that, isn’t it?”

“It’s never too late when you’re absolutely jacked up on caffeine.” They pointed to the empty mug beside them and smiled wide, their eyes strangely wild.
