𝐋𝐄𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐔𝐍𝐆 he doesn't know much about love, he's never really experienced it yet. he has fallen for conventional and unconventional things, things that compliment and things that complete, he's been through the good phases and stuck through bad ones, he held on to things he shouldn't and let go of things he should. there are a lot of lessons he has learned along every relationship he has been in the lines of yet lee heeseung doesn't believe he's ever been in love until he has been with you. it wasn't something he knew he felt, but it was surely something he realized in the spur of a moment, in a split second of epiphany. he knew what he felt for you was something deep when he realized that yes he wouldn't hesitate to die for you, but what he wants is to live for you. it's easy to be the first to go but to hold your strength through everything and survive for someone, that is definitely love is what heeseung believes.

"baby, baby calm down i'm okay," he reassures your crying and frantic figure as you scan his injuries, ones he got from trying to protect you from a fatal fall. perhaps it was the situation or perhaps it was realisation of it all. when he jumped to saved you all he could think about was he'd give his life if it meant you lived, but in this moment he cannot bear to see you so devastated, to think he could've left you like this? no, he's decided he is never going to do it until he can't help it and even then he'd fight to stay with his love.

“jakey,” you called out before smirking mischievously, “wanna have a staring contest?”

your boyfriend looked at you, amused as he let out a playful chuckle, “y/n, be honest. i know you just want an excuse to stare lovingly into my handsome eyes.”

you laughed sarcastically at his joke, “as if. i just wanna see who can last longer without blinking, that’s all.”

milan’s note: kind of inspired by calm down by rema & selena. when i was thinking abt this fic i was thinking abt that song (made this fic for u guys but a lil for me cause im a bit stressed myself)

heeseung always took good care of you. especially the times you were stressed and today just so happened to be one of those times. he knew that everything you had going on was a lot on you even when you tried to hide it or mask your real emotions with a smile and an ‘it’s fine’.

he didn’t need much of an explanation from you in words but could always tell from your body language. how your shoulders were higher and more tense. the way you’d stop eating and/or drinking normally. even how much more you stared off in to space when he was talking.

he knew it all. which is why even after he came home prepared for cuddles and a relaxed night, he decided to take you out.

this landed you at the nearest park by your shared apartment. you both walked side by side up to a steep hill where you could see the sun setting behind the nearly bare trees. his arm was tucked tightly around you, pulling you into him every time you took a step. he pressed kisses on your temple, whispering ‘I love you’s’ and how much he cared about you.

once you got to the edge of the hill, you stood with your hands shoved in the pockets of your coat, looking out at the setting sun. heeseung moved to stand behind you, arms wrapping around your torso as he placed more kisses to your temple and cheek. he nuzzled his reddish nose against the side of your neck.

“you mean the world to me, you know that?” he mumbled close to your ear. you nodded at his comment, knowing he was about to go into one of his mini speeches that he always gave you when you tried to hide your feelings from him.

“i don’t want you to ever feel like you have to hide the fact that you’re simply tired or overwhelmed. i wanna be there to take care of you when you can’t calm down.” he said, the last part referring to when you cried in his arms before you both left for a walk. your eyes still slightly red after the sobbing fest.

you sniffled, nodding once more. he continued to talk to you, making you promise to talk to him more. after the sun had mostly gone down, you turned around with heeseung’s arms still wrapped around your waist. your slightly warm hands came up to his pink cheeks, pulling him down to meet you halfway with a gentle, but deep kiss.

your lips moved in sync for a bit, his grip on you tightening. his eyebrows furrowed as he deepened the kiss, putting all his love for you into one smooch.

you both pulled away slowly, resting your foreheads against each other’s but not before leaving one more peck on his lips.

“i’ll always be here for you, sweet girl.”

He would be busy playing his game before finally closing his laptop to call it a day. A small smile made its way to his lips as the sight of your head hanging down, sitting across from him with your hands still glued to your keyboard. You had told him that you’ll be doing some work but never would he expect to find you dozing off. He would definitely stare at your sleeping face, admiring your beauty and peaceful face, before deciding to wiggle you lightly and telling you to sleep on the bed. You would whine and give him a sleepy blank look which only made his grin wider at how adorable you look. He would end up pulling and leading you to the bed, tucking you nicely and kissing your forehead a goodnight rest.

Fancy dinners were quite often with Jay and the both of you would find yourself enjoying the date until late night. Jay had promised to pick something up from a friend while you waited for him in the car after the said dinner. He would apologize to you when he opened the door, hurriedly placing the item at the back and wearing his seatbelt. When there was no response, he noticed your already sleeping figure, your head slightly tilted to the headrest. Picnics with Jake happen very often when the weather is nice. Sometimes, he would bring Layla with him and you would watch them run and play at the field of grass with a big grin. Today, it was just the both of you, laying down and watching the clouds from below. The sun was slightly sunny but the cool breeze made up for the temperature. Jake would talk and talk while spotting different shapes of clouds in the sky but when he turned, you had already closed your eyes in a deep sleep on his arms. He gets all giddy at how precious you were and would slowly face you, stroking your head lovingly. He closed his eyes in content, feeling your healing presence before he himself would slowly drift into dreamland with you.

The sensation of his legs becoming numb began creeping but Sunghoon tried his hardest to not move as your head was lying on his lap. He called out to you, asking what you’d like to eat for takeout while focusing on his phone. When you don’t answer, he looks down to see you fast asleep. Sunghoon would go rigid, confused on what to do next. But seeing you comfortably sleeping, he can’t help but smile, slowly moving your phone away so that you’ll rest better. He would cringe at how you would stir when he did it but glad you had moved to snugly move closer to his lap. Though he enjoys it, he begins to contemplate whether to let you sleep or wake you up before his legs go numb.

The both of you would be cuddling on the sofa, watching a comedy movie together. Blankets and snacks well prepared with the lights off makes the perfect atmosphere for a movie night as well as inducing drowsiness. Sunoo would laugh at a scene, turning his head to see your reaction only to find you already asleep, your head resting snuggly on his shoulder. He would not miss this opportunity and took a picture of your sleeping face, sneaking a little selfie of him with you as well. He would place the picture in a dedicated folder in his gallery on his phone. He would giggle to himself while staring at the picture at how cute you were before proceeding to let you rest, pull the blankets closer to you and lower the volume of the movie.

He suggested that the both of you should study at the school library for the upcoming exams. Jungwon was so focused on his readings that he failed to notice that you had dozed off, arms folded over the table facing him. When he turned to ask you a question, he was surprised to say the least but a small laugh made its way at the way your mouth was slightly agape, eyebrows furrowed together. He decided to lay down as well, arms folded and facing your sleeping face. He would trace his fingertips over your features. it's not the first time you walk across jay's workplace during one of shifts, and neither the first time you call him to tell him about. given the fact that you walk by his office's window, he often tells your he waved at you and you can do nothing but believe his words as you don't even today. today, however, he tells you to stay a little longer.

“look at your left,” his voice rings in the phone you hold so dearly against your ear, you do as he says: wiping your head to your left impatiently, you see no on except a mother holding the hand of her little girl. jay's chuckles makes you stop staring at the little girl's hello kitty plushie. “your other left princess”

you look at your so called ‘other left’— that is basically just your right— and doesn't see your boyfriend in sight, only a cute couple walking hand in hand and you think it could be you with your boyfriend if he could differentiate left and right properly. you start looking around, from your left to your right and from your right to the left— you even twirl on your feet a couple of times, but still see strictly no signs of the man across your phone.

sighing, you speak again, “are you—” you interrupt yourself when you look at your right again, eyes landing on someone running dangerously fast to you. from the way he runs and the shirt you watched him wear this morning; you can tell who it is.

your eyes grow wide, with the hands that come right under your armpits and lift you up to the sky you know it's too late to run away. the yelp you let out doesn't stop him from turn all around like you did earlier, making you do so too— you feel so light, with the sun right behind you. jay gives up his hold on you, making you land directly against his body, he wraps one of his hands arms around your waist on the other against the back of your head.

you giggle as you hug his neck. jay doesn't let you go and it has been a while since your feet touched the floor, but you don't complain. “i finished earlier today, let's go home, okay?” he tells you and you nod.
