It hasn’t even been two weeks into the year, and you throw a wildfire into my state?!
This your way of saying “expect more of this to come?” because I’m barely tolerating it now.
To whichever God of any region is listening, I’ll praise you if you make this the most tolerable year we had since 2020 started, please don’t let Apollo hit this post with misfortune, civilization can’t take one more bad year it’s on rickety, crumbling ground already, another will collapse everything.
Something on my mind that seems funny to me is when any series has people making good ending AUs to offset the tragedy and then there’s a part where this one character that dies in canon still dies like,
“No no you in particular can’t have good things so you have to die”
Which would be funnier if there were others saved from their fate like it’s just you who has to suffer. Nobody else. Just that one guy in particular.
It’s even funnier if there’s no ill will in the AU creator’s eyes for that character, they just think that they HAVE to die or it feels wrong.

While lurking in the Twitter wasteland, I came across a few Japanese posts which talked about this guy.
A demon from the Dictionnaire Infernal called Yan-gant-y-tan and apparently he became something of a meme with either the pose or the demon being drawn.
If you want to see things, try using either of his Japanese translations

The Japanese don’t know how this trend started and honestly, most things don’t make sense nowadays but going with the flow seem to be the best way to live nowadays.

Like I know that it’s one of the new indie game hits, but when I first saw fan art of the game on Twitter, which would also be my first exposure to its existence, I was confused on why it was tagged mouthwashing, like to people like me who didn’t know it was a game, it felt threatening like what’s happened to the mouthwash, why are people drawing a man that looks like Joshua Graham, is this some kind of ad with the doctors approved thing and the one that didn’t approve was tormented or something, are the other people the other doctors, is this a trend, why is this so vague and why are people drawing it?
Like how was I supposed to know at the time that it was a game, I didn’t see anything on my recommendations or feeds about it, these game just pop out of nowhere from time to time.

hey! if you're not already aware, my favorite game ever, a boomer shooter called TF2, is currently facing a massive bot problem. bad actors are hosting bot players to farm items and take advantage of the economy, or to go out of their way to disrupt games with cheats like aimbot and wallhacks. an entire game can be put to standstill by 3 sniper bots, and Valve continues to monetize the game despite their several-year long stint of no communication to the community, and no action to stop the bots.

a lot of people have a deep love for this game, and it makes me sad that it's made to be as unapproachable as it currently is by people who choose to detract joy from the world because they cannot create it.
