Gouache study - two lemons and a half
Hope has dirt under her fingernails. Her broken foot trembles beneath her as she stands up, reading herself for another punch.
Faith clutches the rim of the sink, breath fogging up the mirror. Then she takes her meds and closes the door behind her.
Perseverance hands bribes to cops and takes the first cleaning job she gets, eyes averted as she gets slapped for tardiness.
Selflessness shivers on her bedroom floor, the memory of loosing a patient on the operation table replaying behind her eyelids again.
Love sits in the visitors hall of the hospital, waiting to replace the wilted flowers beside the coma patient.
Passion only leaves the house to go to therapy, the world too painful to look at for long.
Strength looks at the others and decides to make a home in their hearts.
If you still haven’t watched Dead Boy Detectives, I think you absolutely should watch the entire thing since the show embodies the all of these shows in one. It’s literally about two ghost ‘friends’ solving other people’s death because their deaths were never solved, it has the angst and so many laughs too.
And I know some people may be afraid about the show being canceled, but the only way to prevent a show from being cancelled is by actually watching it. Completion rates is how Netflix renews things, so please complete the show in its entirety. There is a mass watching event/watch party for old and new viewers from this Friday to Sunday, starting at 1pm EASTERN. Please join and help out.
If I haven’t convinced you, at least tell a friend about it who may seem interested in the show.
End the cancellation streak, allow queer/ya shows to have more than one season. Queer teens and just teens in general deserve more shows, the same shows we got.
ya gotta stop caring what people think and start being extremely weird. but never cruel. i think that might save you

“I know a bank where the wild thyme blows, Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows, Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine, With sweet musk-roses and with eglantine”
— Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, [Act II Scene I Line 249]
If someone would ask what my biggest need is I'd say touch. By Lord, please, pplesse I need to be touched. Right now. And if they raise their eyebrows and eyes flicker to my chest I will commit arseny. I need fingers pressing against my elbow as you pass. I need a hand at my back. The quiet presence of my friend appearing behind me. I can lean back. They have me. They gave me.
I need eyes. Eyes that meet mine and mean something. I need love. And by God isn't that a way to simple word. I want my friend to watch me turn away with a small smile before they continue their conversation. I want to elicit a warm feeling in a chest. I want someone to hug me and not as a goodbye.I need care. I need sustenance. Require it. Need your hand on my arm and need you to say hey, it's okay. How about a little walk before we continue this work, hm?
(She/her) Hullo! I post poetry. Sometimes. sometimes I just break bottles and suddenly there are letters @antagonistic-sunsetgirl for non-poetry
