I have only three things to point out, Rue and Jules' relationship doesn't seem toxic to me. They are just two messed up girls trying to stay together while trying to handle their shit situations in life. Just like any other relationship, people have problems and these problems always interfere in a relation. What they have is very beautiful, they only need to figure out how to solve their own problems first so their relationship can be better and way healthier.

2. When Jules hallucinates about Nate in the club that was not actually Nate but Tyler, the guy she thought she has fallen with, then she realizes that this guy doesn't exist so she gets angry at him (Nate) for doing such things, at the same time she has an inner fight with the feelings she had for the person she thought he was.

3. By the fact Jules was high as fuck and hooked up with a stranger she doesn't even have feelings for while she's thinking about Rue, only made it clear how much she actually loves her. And that scene when she's imagining Rue's there and then has a breakdown on Rue's arms just shows how much she feels safe and at home with her in the middle of all that mess. That being said, I think she'll be back in town with a very opened heart and things with Rue will now only grow bigger and stronger.

you can never escape that camera she's gonna make sure everyone knows you're there

"y'all, look who it is!" she says excitedly and turns the camera towards your direction as you're in the middle of doing your hair in the bathroom mirror. you pause and look at the girl annoyed before attempting to shut the bathroom door, but kk's quick to open it again and she enters the bathroom to set the phone down on the counter. kk knows she can be a lot but she also knows deep down that you still love her regardless of how many times you're telling her to "go away" or "be quiet"
