I haven't had many links to share in the last week or two because I've been reading from PDFs. The above link goes to an incredible LJ community, spnstoryfinders. It is, praise the fandom gods, still active after all these years. Admittedly it's quiet nowadays. As we know, much of fandom has moved on from that platform, so there aren't as many hands to help with every search, but it's still a wonderful resource, and every pair of dedicated eyes deserves thanks. 🙌

It's also heavily tagged (characters, pairings, themes, tropes, etc.), so even if you just wanted to go scrolling back through old searches to find fics to read, it'd be worth it.

But what I'm sharing today are the lists of deleted authors/journals/stories (there are two posts–don't miss the second one, linked in the first paragraph). Where available, the lists provide links to download the deleted fics.

Our fandom has lost a lot of fanfiction and fanart over the years, either by having it swept out from under us by platforms we trusted or deleted by the creators themselves. Having some of it recovered and shared like this is a bit like having a little treasure chest we can open any time we like. 🫶

Don't take it for granted, though. Save your favourites. Download the fics in your bookmarks. Back up your backups. Preserve yesterday and enjoy tomorrow. ✌️

I’m sorry

I really didn’t want to make this post, but I think I’m going to have to for my own mental and financial health.

I am unable to extend any financial support to any Ukrainians or Palestinians at this moment due to struggling a bit with money and bills. It’s not to the point where I have to post fundraisers, but I can’t spare any cash between said bills and saving for a potential emergency.

I only say this because I’ve been receiving a lot of pleas for help from Palestinian accounts in my messages, and it’s damaging to my own saving ability and finances. I understand that there are direr situations, but I just don’t want to disappoint people in need who are reaching out with legitimate emergencies expecting aid.

I try to keep this blog as a personal archive and safe space for my own achievements and things I’m proud of that I’ve made, so I’ve put off making this post, but I feel it’s gotten to the point where I have to. Again, I apologize for the somewhat entitled behavior here, and I hope those reaching out can understand.

Anyone is free to reblog this if they want to spread it or if they’re in a similar situation, J just wanted to put it out there.

Hi! Op Loki here in the explain-inator! Welcome those who are curious enough to step foot into the ‘keep reading’ box! I suffer from insomnia and occasional hallucinations during said insomnia episodes, which often can be somewhat useful in helping me pinpoint which part of my mental state caused this little bout of insomnia. Recently (for when I wrote this) I’ve been suffering from bodily autonomy issues due to my education’s strict policies and many people demanding my time and effort for their own conveniences. I usually have a hard time saying no to these people because they’re usually closer to me, and it got to the point where it was like ‘hold on a minute, this is *deadname*, not Legion/Loki’. When I thought about myself. And, well, the hallucination wanted to highlight the unstoppable passage of time, my autonomy issues, and the inherent dysphoria that comes with being LGBT in general. And, to do that, it chose time, mirrors, and vampires. But who am I to question- would this be Apollo? Thanks, Apollo, ik I’m still new to worship, but this helped. A lot. And Ares, for giving me the strength to fight.
