i was reading through all the asks of reg surviving the cave and like y'know there's a bunch of fics where he and sirius meet up and they try to get horcruxes safely or whatever but I'm just imagining regulus keeps on doing the most wild stunts and lighting things on fire and going wild and everyone keeps thinking he keeps dying but somehow he's never dead and no one knows what's happening because I saw him die but I also just saw him on the news setting fire to the church of england and i also got a call that the malfoy estate was burned down moony what's happening help

regulus: you should have killed me when you had the chance.

Sirius: I do love my brother.

AU where Regulus is a natural Legilimens. He just doesn't react to reading people minds and stay silent most of the time. He get overwhelmed easily in crowded so he avoids them. Not to mention everyone is thirsty for either him or his brother and he CAN HEAR ALL OF IT.

Seer!Regulus where the first thing he ever Sees is his death in the cave. He feels apathetic towards most things because he happens to have foresight and feels as though it’s all set in stone already. Everything he interacts with is an omen (his wand is cypress wood and thestral, every time he drinks tea the leaves seem to spell something out, he dreams of Sirius running away despite him not showing any signs at home, looks into a fire and sees the Dark Mark). He goes into the cave and drinks the poison, gets dragged underwater, but in the middle of drowning has a vision of Voldemort having made other Horcruxes, and he’s like oh shit, I refuse to die now. So he gives Fate a big ol’ middle finger and manages to gtfo (maybe through some weird apparition clause or whatev) and for the first time, he has no idea what the future holds.
