how valentine’s day was in my better cr : a novella, a fever dream, an aesthetic experience, a love story to end all love stories

monday, tuesday : civilian behaviour. school, the humdrum, the daily grind, except coryo is the chauffeur of my suburban dreams, picking me up in the mornings like a perfectly curated boyfriend playlist, and we drive to school, me, unbothered, in the passenger seat of destiny. i love hiiimmmm. but wednesday. wednesday !!!

5pm. the text : pack some things. vague, thrilling, mysterious ???? like a mission briefing, but sexy. i throw my essentials into a bag because intuition tells me that valentine's day will be an event. at 7pm, he picks me up. drives me to the airport. his jet. HIS JET. no hints, no peeks, just the casual absurdity of a seven-hour flight into the abyss of love. i fall asleep on his shoulder like a tragic heroine, a modern-day sleeping beauty, only to be carried (yes, carried !!!!!!!! he's my prince charming) to the car when we land at 4am in paris. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.

the ritz. the hemingway suite. i mean, come ON. i am in sweats, barely lucid, but my god, does he know me. paris at 4am is a whisper, a love letter, an empty museum of its own beauty. we sleep another six hours in the kind of sheets that feel like being swaddled by luxury itself. then, valentine’s day begins.

10am . . . breakfast in bed : croissants, honey, mimosas, little tea cakes that taste like poetry. he gifts me a heart-shaped pandora charm with diamonds, and i think, ‘sweet, simple.’ except, no. there is more. I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM.

12pm . . . musée d'orsay, because of course he knows me. at a cafe, he sneaks another charm onto the coffee plate. a beauty and the beast rose. i stare at him like he invented romance. i am giggling. i am twirling my hair. i am about to FAINT from love.

1pm . . . rue saint-honoré. he drags me into miu miu (i want to sob), buys me the little nappa hair clips, and then clips one into my hair outside before kissing my forehead. this man is a disease and i am not looking for a cure. I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM. he's almost about to drag me into louis vuitton and i'm making a run from it because i'd marry him. which is bad because we're 17 !!!!! no marriage !!!

2pm . . . ilang. my favourite restaurant. a shrine to my good taste (no, seriously, if you're in paris...go there ASAP. they have the best best bessssssstttttt korean food).

then, the champs-élysées, where pda levels reach new highs, where he buys me a box of ladurée macarons and matching love rings. this is sickening. i have to reciprocate. i buy him an acne studios scarf to match his coat and my miu miu bag, because symmetry is key in love and fashion. i love hiiimmmm. i can barely stand it.

4pm . . . we share airpods, clairo’s ‘juna’ plays, he spins me around on the street, and at this point, i am beyond salvation. send help. (don’t send help.) I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM. he takes like 100 pictures of me, and i swat him a few times. like....tenderly.

dinner : a boat restaurant, eiffel tower views, romance so potent it should be illegal. dessert comes with a love letter. this man. this fucker. i hate him. i love him. (six times over.) actually, seven. i love hiiimmmm.

by the time we're walking back to our hotel, he wraps his scarf around my hair like i'm a 60s french heroine.

11pm . . . we get back. and.

morning. . . i wake up : first, kiss him on the cheek, shift back.

et voilà. a love story, a weekend, a work of art, a religious experience. i will never be the same. i love hiiimmmm. endlessly.

when shifting, your physical senses are the last to shift! when you’re hyper-aware of your body, you could be anchoring yourself to your current reality.

let go.

detach from the need to feel immediate sensations and trust the process. you are in control.

focus on your intention, not on whether you ‘feel’ it happening. this is why i like to make it clear that not everyone feels physical symptoms, and that is okay!!! shifting is about aligning your consciousness, not forcing physical proof.

remind yourself: you are already shifting. every thought, every visualization, every moment spent in alignment with your desired reality brings you closer.

release the need for validation. your experience is valid, whether or not you feel tingles, heaviness, or detachment. trust in your mind’s power.

shifting isn’t something you have to ‘catch’ happening - it’s something you allow to unfold.

you are still connecting yourself to your current reality.

how?

you perceive your desired reality as secondary and your current reality as primary, but in truth, that distinction doesn’t inherently exist.

for example: “i can’t do/be ____ in my dr because in my cr i’m ____”

but this limitation exists only in your perception. your current reality does not dictate the possibilities of your desired reality - one does not inherently hold more weight or truth than the other. the only thing making your desired reality feel secondary is the belief that it is.

when you see your current reality as the default and your desired reality as merely an alternative, you reinforce the illusion that one is more “real” or “valid” than the other. reality is shaped by perception, and the only reason your current reality feels primary is because you’ve conditioned yourself to believe it is.

if you remove the mental hierarchy between them, you’ll realise that your desired reality is just as accessible, just as legitimate, and just as real. the only thing standing between you and fully experiencing it is the belief that it’s separate from you.

NOTE: i´m not a scientist nor a physicist. This essay is based on self interpretation of information and things i´ve learned about consciousness, quantum physics, nature of reality, etc.

We´re four dimensional beings, meaning we´re composed of both physical and non physical (intangible) things. We have three layers: body, psyche (alias consciousness) and soul. Our bodies are just the envelope, the vehicle our consciousness occupies in order to live a human experience. Accordingly, our true self is not our body, but the consciousness that occupies it. Having that in mind, we´re able to move to the next point.

Everything — and this is scientifically proven — is made of energy. Vibrating energy makes matter, and consequently both matter and energy have frequencies. Every single thing has a different frequency: objects, sounds, emotions, etc. Therefore, reality as a whole, with all of its elements combined, vibrates at its own frequency.

Thanks to quantum physics, we know particles of energy can be in different states and multiple places at the same time in superposition when there isn't a conscious observer. While being observed, energy/particles behave differently, being perceived at one state and place. This experiment shows the same particle can and does exist in many states/places at once, but we´re only able to perceive one state/place at a time.

ENERGY → MATTER → REALITY

We can only perceive one reality (state of energy/matter as a whole) at a time for the reason the human experience we're living limits us to do so. Although, like energy is coexisting in many places/states at once, and we know for certain that energy composes matter, which makes the (physical) reality, we can affirm there are many other realities besides this one, but we´re not able neither to perceive nor interact with them.

Summing things up, there are many other realities coexisting in the very same space as this one, but each reality exists in different frequencies, so realities never interact with each other. That said, we are able to introduce the main character: shifting.

Shifting doesn't happen in your consciousness, shifting happens with — and thanks to— your consciousness. Your body is trapped in this reality because it's part of this reality, for the reason bodies are physical things that can only exist in one state. Your consciousness, on the other hand, contrary to your body, can shift because it's not something physical, it's not made of matter. Consciousness doesn't belong to any reality, it just experiences them. Consciousness cannot die, so when your body faces death, your consciousness continues existing in other realities. This can explain both reincarnation and heaven, since your consciousness shifts to a reality that fits what you expect/believe you´ll experience after death.

With shifting, we´re doing the same but intentionally, choosing the reality we want to experience,with the difference our Cr body is still alive, so we can come back.

By shifting, we´re changing the frequency of our consciousness — which is the same as our Cr— to match the frequency of the reality we want to become aware of. You have to shift your inner world in order to shift the outer physical world (the 4d and the 3d).

— many people have experienced symptoms when trying to shift, however not everyone does! when i had began my shifting journey, i used to always get symptoms, but now it’s very rare that i do. maybe i’ve become so used to it that it doesn’t correlate, or maybe it just comes that natural to me, either way i still shift. don’t give up because you can’t feel any symptoms, everyone is different.

— the first shift isn’t shocking. you ‘wake up’ and it feels natural. there’s no confusion, maybe a calm acknowledgement but that’s it. you won’t need a minute to compose yourself, or get so overwhelmed you can’t speak. you will remember all the events before you shifted, and it will feel like a natural continuation.

— when your dr self’s memories come rushing in, it isn’t that noticeable. it takes a split second for your memories to, let’s say, ‘update’. you don’t realise until you have to recall something, like remembering where your keys are or the password to your phone.

— doing things in your dr that you do not do in your cr comes naturally. for example, if you are an f1 driver in your dr, you will still know what you are doing. your brain holds the information you need.

— you are not the main character. istg if someone acts as if the whole world revolves around them in their dr one more time i will actually lose it. every single person in your dr has their own lives, their own feelings, etc. just like your cr. you are not special.

🌟 You heard that right. This is a method I'm sure someone else has thought of already, but I'm putting it into words for you guys.

Now, this method is weird and can even be scary to some. I recommend it to those who have gotten SP before or just aren't afraid of anything. But anyone can do it, really!

This is my favorite method, I've been able to shift multiple times with it. My little brother also uses it to lucid dream :)

1. How does it work?

It's very simple. Have you ever tried shifting through a lucid dream, only to end up waking up in your cr bed, not being able to move? You might even see or hear things, what some people call "Sleep paralysis demon"

Now, here's the thing: sp demons don't exist.

🗣️-"But Dolly, why do I see, feel and hear things when I'm in sleep paralysis? It freaks me out!"

🐇- Sleep paralysis is a state, during waking up or falling asleep, in which a person is conscious but in a complete state of full-body paralysis. During an episode, the person may hallucinate, which often results in fear.

It happens when you pass between stages of wakefulness and sleep.

(If you're interested in the science behind it)

During REM sleep the body enters a state of temporary paralysis called muscle atonia. This state is likely a mechanism to prevent sleepers from injuring themselves by acting out their dreams. That's why you can't move!

Many experts believe that hallucinations during sleep paralysis occur when people experience the vivid dreams of REM sleep while they are awake.

So, don't worry about this so-called demon. It can't hurt you. Its just your half-asleep brain!

PRO TIP: When you find yourself in SP, don't open your eyes. Just relax, and remind yourself it's just your body being half asleep. If you have scary thoughts, shake them off. Sleep paralysis can even be fun if you learn how harmless it is.

2. And how can you shift with it?

Because SP is a state of half-sleepiness, it's the perfect time to manipulate your consciousness into being somewhere else.

I'll separate this method in two parts:

1.How to get sleep paralysis?

I've always gotten SP when my sleep is disrupted. That is, if I go to sleep at my usual time, like 10pm, and put an alarm to wake up at 2am (3-4 hours after falling asleep is perfect), and stay awake for a few hours, then fall back asleep, my brain will be all like: whaaaat?

My little brother also uses this method to lucid dream, and it always works for him. So, in steps:

Go to sleep when you're comfortable. Put an alarm to wake up 3-4 hours after falling asleep.

Wake up with that alarm, and now chill! Go to the bathroom, watch some youtube videos, read a book, wake yourself up, and wait until you're sleepy again. This usually takes me 2-4 hours awake. It's best to do it in weekends, please don't do this on school nights 😭

Fall back asleep. This might be hard, but just spend some time in the darkness, daydream about your dr, just relax and let your body slowly fall asleep.

You might wake up paralysed. That means it worked! (Scroll down a bit to see what you do at this point)

There are other methods to get sleep paralysis. This is just my personal favourite, but everybody is different!

2. I'm in sleep paralysis! Now what?

Now, just relax. Calm your mind, remind yourself: this is just my brain half-asleep.

Keep your eyes closed. Take your time to affirmate. My personal favourite is "I am shifting" because it's easy to remember.

Try to visualise your desired reality. Imagine you're already there. Because you are.

You might feel really strong symptoms, but I personally find them fun.

If you're very scared, don't worry. You can always wake up from SP. Just try moving a bit, and after a few seconds, you should be back to normal.

shifting for romantic love is awesome, but so is shifting for platonic love. for friendship, family or whatever experience it is you wish for.

i have to admit, i used to fixate so much on my s/o that i lost sight of other things. but i long to be with my brothers, my best friends. i'm looking forward to the time i get to spend by myself. i long for the happy and exciting moments as well as the sad, the scary and even the boring ones.

my s/o will always be the reason i'll never give up on shifting, but there is more waiting for me. and i welcome it with open arms and an open heart.

creative, fun, and motivating activities to do besides scripting:

: ̗̀➛ make digital scrapbooks - it could be about a fun day you had with your friends or maybe a significant moment in your life. if you have a pinterest board dedicated to your dr, i recommend scrolling through it to find pictures that you can include in your scrapbook. add in some stickers and maybe a short paragraph of what you did that particular day (treat it as if you're writing in your journal). use an app like canva and get creative with it.

: ̗̀➛ make music playlists about your dr - i always do this because it's simple and therapeutic, especially when you're feeling really demotivated and want to do something that requires the least amount of effort

: ̗̀➛ plan outfits for a day in your dr - ask yourself what you're going to wear tomorrow. for this one, i recommend using an app called combyne or shuffles (if you're willing to put extra effort into it).
