I fucking LOVE vaccines, friends. Give me the science stab. I’m so ready. it’s a beautiful day to not die of a Bajillion and one diseases that carried off like half the population before they had even reached age 10, and a significant portion before they made it to old age, 150 years ago
I go to the old cemetery. I see the vast numbers of infant and child and young adult graves. And then I go to my doctor and get injected with Potion of Fuck That Noise. This is beautiful and miraculous and I do not remotely understand how some people can reject it – not just for themselves, but for their children
Some advice for when you’re writing and find yourself stuck in the middle of a scene:
kill someone
ask this question: “What could go wrong?” and write exactly how it goes wrong
switch the POV from your current character to another - a minor character, the antagonist, anyone
stop writing whatever scene you’re struggling with and skip to the next one you want to write
write the ending
write a sex scene
use a scene prompt
use sentence starters
read someone else’s writing
Never delete. Never read what you’ve already written. Pass Go, collect your $200, and keep going.
Ahhhhhhh! Mon as the footstool!!! And Tomura barely allows himself to use it as a footstool because he loves Mon so much and doesn't want to degrade her even if she has turned and wants to serve him in this form.
Also I can definitely see Hawks as Gaston and all.
Also are you perhaps taking a few recommendations? Because then I would maybe like Shigadabi or Floatyknife as "The swan princess" it is one if my favorite old movies that has such charm and so much sass.
And I think Kai as Ursula is fine and like some sidekicks as his servant fish.
So, recently I’ve been thinking about doing some MHA ship fics based on some of my favorite fantasy movies/stories
Current ideas are: Tododeku based on the Little Mermaid
Shigadabi based on Beauty and the Beast
And Togachako based on Labyrinth
Is this something you guys would be interested in? These fics will be on my AO3 btw
Tbh, I am very curious about the Floatyknife story. I mean, it sounds rather cute, and I am already very invested. They would be absolutely adorable. But maybe don't make the Yuri too doomed? Like very very angsty and doom like, but at the end, they undoomed Toga from the narrative and the wedding is back on?
Just like the Beauty and the Beast with Shigadabi. I can already imagine Kurogiri as the candle holder, very fancy. Very nice. And maybe Magne as the teapot? And instead of the teacups being her children, they are her little siblings? So, literal Big Sis. And Toga is a teacup as well. So adorable. And Toya and Tomura would definitely bond over being rejected from society.
But I'd be very interested in which versions of the stories you'll base this little Au thing on? Like the Little Mermaid can either be cute and all or very traumatic.

Tbh I first thought you posted about Shigadabi and not yourself. And now I can't get it out of my head. Like they get secretly married, and Tomura sometimes slips up.
Tomura: Oh, Dabi? Yeah, he is my boyfriend, you got a problem with that?
Dabi in the background now moving quickly to Tomura: You liar! You lying bastard! How could you!
Tomura: What!?
Dabi: Are you firing me! Am I worth that little to you? Do you even care about me?
Tomura: What do you mean? What is happening?
Dabi: You... bastard! *acts like he faints like those ladies I'm old Hollywood movies*
And Tomura has to catch him and Dabi is only awaked by true love's calling aka. Tomura apologize and calling him his husband.
Vice versa, it's just Dabi bot approving of Tomura or not being satisfied with something he did, so he calls him his boyfriend again. Tomura has been denounced a rank, and he is pissy about it. Because he's a gamer, and that is a direct attack to his honor and abilities.
Anytime me and my husband accidentally refer to each other as “boyfriend/girlfriend” the other gasps loudly and says “I’ve been demoted?” or “I dropped a rank?” or “Am I fired????”
My favorite ship AND favorite movie? As if you didn't already made me love your art! Now Tomura just needs to look/act a bit more like an absolutely hopeless loser and it's even more perfect. I love my loser Eddie.
But I absolutely adored how his scars are in the venom form as well. It suits him. And maybe wear like in ear headphones so he can talk to Venom/or whatever the symbiote is named in this AU without people thinking he is crazy and so he wears them all the time, just in case.
Or maybe he is already hunted for some crimes and all! Ohh I want more Lore!!
And maybe like my favorite scene with them as well? Like Tomura chilling at Toya's/Dabi's and some cops or special unit showing up and the symbiote is like, "We need to kill them all!" "No we are not going to kill people." "But... one pile of bodies, one pile of heads." "We are not going to kill them!" Or maybe they do want to kill, but Toya is around, and so he wants to appear cool and not like a serial killer.
I am very excited!! I am sure that idea has been added to the list of writing ideas!
The League of Villains, facing off against an enemy that can conjure up their deepest wants/needs.
Shigaraki, about to decay them.
Enemy: “Oh, look at that. A small corgi puppy.”
Shigaraki: “Mon-Chan?”
Dabi: “Don’t believe it. That’s not real.”
Enemy: “And what do we have here? Endeavor is near death?”
Dabi: “Knock it off.”
Enemy: “Oh? And he’s looking at you.”
Dabi: “… He’s looking at me?”
Spinner: “Don’t let them distract you, Dabi.”
Enemy: “And what’s this?? A kiss with Shigaraki—“
Spinner, knocking them out.
Everyone looking at Spinner.
Spinner, shrugging: “Who knows who could have wanted that?”

OK to reblog for funsies. No shame in the lower levels. all of us are different.
You have no idea how many people lurk on your work. No idea how many times people go back to revisit your work. How big they smile when they simply think about your work. How fast their heart beats, how excited they get when they see that you posted something.
People are shy with their feedback. Sometimes it’s because they’re simply shy. Other times it’s because they assume you already know how great and talented you are. Could be both.
My point is, even if you barely have any likes or reblogs, don’t get discouraged. You have a lot of silent fans, but they are still your fans. Keep on creating. Because there is always someone out there who will love what you have made.
I believe with my whole heart, I would have gotten diagnosed correctly as a child if the questions were better and there was no bias along mental illness and stereotyping everything. Like depression is not just a person dressed in all black or the content of who is more allowed to be tired. Or that Adhd is just a running around kid thag can't calm down or autism is just a little white boy who is great in math.
Also the fuck shit with control groups is insane. For example, if the question was if killing a cat was okay and the "healthy" control group was like yeah then it would be absolutely acceptable, and you are insane for not doing that. The concept of "healthy" control groups is sometimes insane to me when there is nothing "unhealthy" about the other group.
I feel like I would have been diagnosed with OCD a lot earlier if the vast majority of screening questions (for mental illnesses in general) weren't based on the person's perception of their own behavior, in isolation. and what i mean by that is asking someone with OCD "do you wash your hands excessively?" is not a good question.
a person with OCD believes they are washing their hands the correct number of times. it's not excessive. we believe we're exhibiting best practices and helping to keep everything clean.
better questions might be, "does it seem like you wash your hands a lot more than your friends or family?" "do you get dry patches or cuts on your hands from washing your hands?" "do you find it deeply distressing, more so than how you've seen other people react, when you get something on your hands that you can't clean off right away?"
being asked "are you overly preoccupied with bugs, symmetry, and contamination?" also got "no" responses from me years ago in my life. what they didn't ask for, and didn't know, was what *exactly* I was doing in my day to day life that genuinely ate up my time and mental space to a concerning degree, but I *didn't know* that other people don't do this.
"do you spend a lot of time cleaning?" -> no, it's not a lot. it's a good amount. why?
"do you become frustrated because it seems like no one else meets your organizational and cleanliness standards - do you often 'take over' for other people because they can't do it right - do new friends seem surprised by how strict you can be about your living space?" -> oh. yeah. yeah I get it now.
Hero ranking system implies Villain ranking system
So basically, skimpy hero/villains outfits? I feel like thaf would be somehow a challenge for teens. Like they go as slutty L.O.V and Dabi. I love the idea
I like imagining that the Bnha universe has their own version of Spirit Halloween where the shops randomly pop up and have Halloween costumes like “(Slutty) Hawks” or “(Slutty) Shigaraki” or “Dabi”
Average day at LOV headquarters
Imagine Tomura and Dabi swap bodies and the whole time Dabi is like “Why is everything so hard to do? I just decayed my fucking phone.” while Tomura is like “This body is in constant pain and I can’t even cry about it.” and then once they get switched back they both have a silent respect for each other.
I just felt like the ending was quite harsh and a bit unforgiving for all the build-up during the series. And it hit a bit too close to home along with the fact that almost nothing changes. And I thought the series would be about change and stuff.
But I can totally understand where you come from. They were broken people who had sad pasts, but they did harm. The past can explain why they are like that, but it can not excuse their actions.
But yeah, Enji dying would be a W
So I have a question for you as a Mha critical and probably a person that knows the Manga better than me. Because I woke up at 3am and I had a thought dinging around my head like the DVD logo.
Could there be a redemption for Dabi if he got to kill/defeat Endeavor?
That question started a train of thoughts that I would like to share and be judged upon by the critical community, either deeming me a feverish lunatic or a genius.
As far as I know myself, most of the anger or hate Dabi carries in him is directed towards false heroes or, better said, one false hero. Endeavor. He has an especially big hate for his father for not deeming his worthy, disgarding him later, and getting Shoto. We see that he wanted to apologize to his family when he woke up in the orphanage, this whole thing works based on that a bit. That he hates Endavor the most but hates his family less.
Basically, the idea would be that he got to fight his abuser and ended up winning. (Ideally killing him because I feel like that man would deserve it to be killed by the one he regarded useless. Very funny) and like after the fight, he, of course, is exhausted. It has also let go of some anger and hate. Storing anger and also not letting yourself feel feelings is bad and makes you unstable and easier to misinterpret feelings. So a huge portion of anger would be out leaving room for satisfaction and perhaps some mania like happiness.
Then some good heroes could swoop in and catch him. Not kill him because they are good heroes and want to save people and not kill them. And there would be a little0 fight, but ultimately, Dabi would be caught. I am not sure whether he would put up much of a fight anyway because the main reason he became the way he was is gone.
And them they could like put a quirk stopping bracelet on him and all and put him in a prison/mental health institute. Because he still has killed people and needs to stand up for that but then again Endeavor as a shit bag. And there he would get therapy and also his family would visit. And that is important.
First would be Natsuo because I feel like he would have the least hate towards his brother for killing their father, and he also had the closest bond to him prior to him being obducted and stuffed into the orphanage. So they would meet, and due to their shared hate, Natsuo might even give him credits for killing the man they both hate. Something like "Good job, Toya, I am glad that man is gone. He has ruined our family," and so on along with a heartfelt apology. The next would probably be Fuyumi because she is one hell of a pacifist and people pleaser (from what I remember), and she would want to play happy family again. And so she goes to him and apologizes and all that. She wouldn't give him praise for killing Endeavor.
I feel like only Natsuo and maybe maybe Shoto (very short and very much a "huh, guess you did it" type of praise would be given. [I don't know whether Rei would come before or after Fuyumi because she probably feels obligated to mourn for her husband and do fumeral shit, no matter how shitty he was. So she probably wouldn't be the first to show up even if she misses her eldest]
So now his healing journey comes because he managed to bring down the biggest hate in him and let that anger out. Of course, it could also happen that once the Pandora box is open, he directs his anger at everything and his hate because he never learned how to deal with emotions in a healthy way. And if you let your anger control too often and too much, you get issues and can no longer deal with the anger correctly. Something something about our brain being stupid and choosing the "easy" but wrong way.
And maybe a few years he would be let go and a given house arrest. There, we would be able to learn again to properly interact with his world again. Family stuff.
Now comes the fun part to me, we know that there is some sort of celebrity culture with the heroes. And if I know one thing from tabloid, then that the people crave drama. They want the dirty laundery of the gerona, they want the sex-scandals and the abuse allegations and the drug rumors. So I feel like he would get a side gig as a journalist for those tabloids under a different name. Exposing false heroes and writing articles about their abuse with photo evidence and video evidence. And he would be smart about it because he has the big brain energy. (This is mostly my personal thinking. This can be as wrong to canon as it is)
I think the Toga redemption is the easiest because she already has a great bond with a hero, aka Uravity. And Ochaco wants to save her as well. So she probably would go to a mental hospital as well [idk about jail because she was underage and all when she committed most crimes, but I feel like she would get just a few years]. There, Ochaco would visit her and talk about the hero stuff she does and Jada Jada they become really good friends, and Ochaco helps to bail her out so that she can live a more normal life. And like if she needs blood, they can just go to a blood bank and get some. So yeah, it's a pretty easy redemption if she manages to survive.
Next is Tomura. My thoughts are that he is basically non-redemption material until the fact that AFO admits to controlling everything in his life and that he never had his own choice. That he had always been a pawn/NPC/replaceable.
For his redemption to work, he first needs to survive, which means the hero Deku should be Izuku, like aka saving everyone no matter what. Which I would love for him to do since he would turn into the ultimate hero for that, and he derves that title.
This also only works if Tomura plays the main part in defeating his abuser aka Quirk Satan. Izuku can help him defeat AFO, but he needs to deal the final blow himself in an act of rebellion and freedom. His very first own choice.
After that battle, he first needs to go to the hospital but then jail along with a therapist. I feel like he would need a whole circle or therapist to hold hands and dance around him like a fire tower for him to get rid of all the years under Quirk Satan.
But it could be easier by 2 things, in my opinion. His connection it the League. He may not have been the best leader and a shitty one at worst, but I feel like he would still be somewhat happy to see them again. Because they are basically the only people that had been around him beside Quirk Satan. So the first would obviously be Spinner. And they would play some L.O.V. together and all. I don't know who will be next, but I feel like if he and Dabi would meet again under these circumstances, that man could give him some advice. I feel like Dabi knows a bit since he burnt down Toga's home to help her. But they could parallel one another yet again.
The second, in my opinion most important part, is a change in mind/ideology/goals. We know he is nihilistic, so I thought he could go through the same journey as me. Because nihilism almost killed both of us, he now needs to adapt a new life philosophy: Absurdism (it worked for me, and I feel like it could work for him as well) Basically: life has no meaning but so what? That only means you can life as free as you want and do everything you want. Your actions won't matter in the long run of the universe? So what, you are free to do whatever you want and to live happy because in the long run of the universe it doesn't matter.
So the first choice, aka Killing Quirk Satan, would lead up to other choices that are his first choices he makes that will be his alone to take. Maybe his Master never allowed him to play competitive games, so now he plays them as much as he wants. Or his Master never allowed him to cry, so now he finally does (it was weird anyway to know Tomura doesn't cry at all even if his name means mourning).
Of course, he is going to be in jail for quite a while since he doesn't have any family to bail him out of anywhere to go to get house arrest. But maybe Izuku visits him as well as he is Izuku's villain after all.
My personal utopia would be them sitting at a table and eating good food again while each talk about the non villany stuff they achieved. Dabi about how he exposed false heroes and Spinner wanting to join the newspaper, which is now serious. [Maybe either could work in politics as well but mostly Spinner to help remove the corrupt system and bring diversity and remove stigmata] and Toga could rant about her newest college crush and how she finally finished her education. Compress could talk about a magic show he has planned, and Tomura could talk about all the free choices he made aka, stuff AFO never allowed him to do and how good he is at taking care of himself. [Because AFO definitely neglected him to make him weaker to his manipulation and all]
So, Mha criticals, am I cooking, or has the fever cooked every viable thought in my brain?
It’s honestly a slippery slope when it comes to this discussion. In my personal opinion, I don’t think that Dabi would be capable of redemption because he still caused harm to people that didn’t have anything to do with his main goal.
He killed many innocent civilians, went after UA, caused intense harm to children, dragged Toga back into the war and roped Shoto into stuff that didn’t concern him. Same with Toga, Twice, Shigaraki and etc. They’ve had sad lives but they still did massive damage and harm to people around them. Which is why I can’t help but give a side eye whenever the fandom says they’re in the right.
Personally, I think that keeping the villains not redeemed teaches a lesson that not everyone gets a happy ending and that in order for society to change, we need to face the harsh realities of the villains’ stories.
But I’m all for Enji dying, that would’ve been amazing.
Idk, fellow critics, what do you think
the secret to writing good smut that doesn't feel like you're just repeating the same words for junk and fucking over and over is to spend your effort writing about everything happening around the sex and everything happening inside the heads of the people having sex and before you know it you have four paragraphs of introspection and two paragraphs describing the space and it's okay to use the word cock again
The league, all doing side jobs to save up money bc they’re broke.
Tomura: “Alright, everyone throw in what you’ve made so far.”
Spinner, who took up window washing: “I actually ended up making a decent amount, since I cut the cost of having to rent scaffolding equipment because of my quirk.”
Twice: “Me and my doubles mowed so many lawns! Weirdly enough, they paid more when I did it shirtless.”
Mr. Compress: “I did some street performances! I attracted quite the crowd with my magic.”
Toga: “Babysitting worked out pretty well and I only lost the kids a couple of times!”
Dabi, sitting down a massive stack of cash.
Tomura: “Where the hell did you get all of that from?”
Dabi: “I started an OnlyFans.”
I am doing it once I have done another more important task. And then another more important task...
WHAT ARE WE?!
WRITERS!!!
WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO?!
WRITE!!!!!
WHEN ARE WE GONNA DO IT?!
((Disgruntled muttering))
since the old version of this post was flagged for 'adult content'...
They are such a pretty wife and ugly husband due. But the titles get switched around like cards every day because neither have the energy to be the pretty wife constantly while also wanting their husband to get the pretty wife title. They are both the pretty wife in each other's eyes.
And also being covered by a fluffy Pokémon or L.O.V. themed blanket and eating the worst and most radioactive snacks together because they both act like they have a spare body in the closet.
I bet he would even rage in Mario Cart about losing or Animal Crossing because of the debt he is given. And probably simulation games too, he would also rage about his humans/pawns doing stupid shit or ang inconvenience like too little space but not enough resources to expand. And to get enough resources to expand, you need more factories to make those resources, but you don't have enough space. Or in like slime ranger he would rage when his slimes escape because of neglect. Like I fed you today already?! How are you so mad!! And he fed them once a human day but bot once a day in the game.
I bet at some point you could sit him before a dark screen, and he would rage out of habit.
AFO and Kurogiri trying to find a game that won’t make Shigaraki rage.
Shigaraki, smashing the controller: “WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE PRINCESS IS IN ANOTHER CASTLE???!?!?!?!”
AFO: “… Strike that one out.”
Kurogiri, drawing a line through Super Mario Bros.
Kurogiri: “At least that wasn’t as bad as when he tried Cooking Mama.”
Shigaraki's death would have indeed been better if he ended AFO in the end. I mean, when AFO went on a rant about how he controlled and puppeteered (is that even a word?) his whole life, I was half expecting him to fight back with utter destruction and anger. Because we know he can feel anger and hate (somewhat). But for it to be so anticlimactic and all.
I wasn't even mad about Izuku becoming a teacher. That was honestly a quite good call. To teach young and bring them on the right way... right into the manipulative and broken system, he fell into himself. Yeah, the last part didn't sit right with me. But for him never to speak uo about Tenko and just letting everyone believe he was a full on Monster, which had always been this hateful creature (he was evil, but I wouldn't call him a monster right away. AFO is a monster im my opinion)
Friendly reminder that Shigaraki being saved ≠ his actions being forgiven.
He still deserves to be saved from AFO and from himself, regardless of his actions. That doesn’t mean all is forgiven, though.
It would be so meaningless to just kill him, because what message would that send? It would be far more meaningful to save him.
One tried, didn't quite work out well for him. He tried but was killed by people saying his abuse didn't matter anymore, and he died in a tank to keep him alive long enough for his abuser to spout bullshit.
The other was too mentally ill, nihilistic, self-destructive, too much of a (more or less self-righteous) moron like lunatic, no goal/no grind, and groomed by the worst human being in the universe to know what proper feelings actually were. He died, too.

Dabi is AMAZING and RARE rep for abuse victims.
I'll say it once, twice, a million times. A lot of the time victims do want to hurt or even kill their abusers, being blinded by it and not caring who's hurt in the process, and that's something that's rarely acknowledged in media. More often than not we get character's who have been through therapy, they've made up and made peace with the people who hurt them, they're okay!! But we never get to see what happens when those people don't get the help they need, (well, sometimes we do, but usually we only get to see the madman that was formed by abuse, not the abuse itself. And it's even rarer that we get to see these characters cry or show empathy towards their own victims) which is why I think it's really important for it to be shown. Like, not as a warning, but more as a "yes, other victims think this way. You aren't supposed to be just fine after going through that. You need help, and that's fine."
I do see a lot of people think that abuse victims becoming killers/villains demonizes abuse victims and like,, I find that ridiculously stupid. If you go through heavy trauma, especially if it was inflicted by the people meant to love and take care of you, you will NOT be okay, no matter how okay you think you are, you're not. Victims often DO want to hurt people, they DO think about bad things and do bad things quite often, it's not normal but it's common. Hurt people hurt people sometimes!! It sucks, I know people hate to acknowledge it, but it's TRUE. You can claim that saying that demonizes victims, and maybe it does, but if you don't let people know that they're not alone, they won't even try to get help. And Dabi is a good representation of that no matter what you think. Throughout the show we see him express empathy through actions AND words on occasion (ex. Him crying, while saying he thinks about his victims very often)
Hurt people hurt people, but that doesn't mean they're not people. And Dabi shows that in a way that I haven't seen in any other character.
(I know I repeated myself a couple times but I am SOOO sick and tired. Like, as in, I am tired aswell as sick. Not as in I'm sick n tired of whatever)
Someone, please save Izuku. FandomWire released an article about how Horikoshi enjoyed working on Bakugou more than Izuku. 🥲🥲🥲
The only way we can save izuku now is if the fanfic writers team up and give him justice (some are already doing so!!!!).
I tried to find the article and the best I have gotten is to this 👇
I haven't fully read it but from what I have read I have to agree. We see Izuku a lot in the manga but dam it's just like we see him. We don't get to actually see inside him or what he is thinking and all like we used to.
Izuku in the beginning Vs izuku in the end are two different characters and a lot of people have described Izuku in the beginning as Izuku and the character in the end as deku (the hollow shell of izuku).
Izuku in the beginning would shout and rebuttal if he heard what spinner called shoji (he literally got all twisted up when shinsou called ojiro a monkey) but in the end we get nothing.
Izuku in the beginning would shout and be able to have negative feelings about people like bakugo and enji but in the end he defends enjis actions Infront of touya and doesn't even get any intropsection towards bakugos horrible apology.
Izuku in the beginning would do anything he can to be useful and be a hero but Izuku in the end gives up and doesn't do anything until he is given the tools to do so 8 years later
Izuku in the beginning and end still worships heroes and hasn't developed a well rounded world view even with the sliver of foreshadowing that he would from the begining of "not all are created equal"
Izuku in the beginning cried and prayed to have a quirk but in the end when he loses his quirk he is simply indifferent and it's bakugo whose doing the crying instead.
Dam too many of my favourite characters are going through character assassinations first Izuku now five whose next ?!?!?!
