Summon Line: Top-class maisons and a premier event... This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I'll make sure to fully enjoy myself here in the Fairest City.
Groooovy!!: --LOCKED--
Home: A fine silhouette.
Home Idle 1: I'm elated to have been able to get my hands on some quality porcelain plates. It was a tad pricier than I would have liked, but this investment is a must for the Mostro Lounge.
Home Idle 2: I can't believe how easily he connected to the staff members at the high-end brand store... Ace-san's social skills are astounding.
Home Idle 3: Does it not seem as though Jamil-san is well-suited to be a manager to the stars? I'm sure he would be capable of attending to even the most freewheeling client.
Home Idle - Login: The Fairest City is a blend of long-standing traditions and recent trends. I'm sure there will be much for me to learn here.

Home Tap 1: I believe that branding is equal to building a fan base. It is vital to always be recognized by someone at all possible times.
Home Tap 2: My mother transformed a small trattoria into a famous restaurant. I remember there were often times that we would get to try her newest crafted dishes for dinner.
Home Tap 3: Every cosmetic that Vil-san purchased were extremely expensive. I suppose an actor of his talents would need proper self-investment of that level.
Home Tap 4: I do also have an interest in show business. I cannot act nor direct, but I believe I could be of good use as a producer.
Home Tap 5: If we are to try some sweets, let's look at that shop over yonder. Not only do they look tasty, it seems they are made with quality ingredients.

Malleus, Vil, Floyd, Jamil and Rook, please! Are waiting outside the building for (their crush) MC so they can walk together. They hear a BOOM and "AHHHHHHHHH" and suddenly they catch MC, who was sent flying out the 2nd story window by a misdirected spell blast. In thanks for catching her, she gives them a sincere and sweet kiss on the cheek? Thank you!!!!!!
Floyd Leech:
You are incredibly thankful you caught Floyd on a good day, as splatting on the ground would be preferable to landing on an already irritated eel. He tilted his head as he stared at the window you flew out of, asking with a pout why you were having fun without him. Once his questioning is over (he wanted to recreate the experiment gone wrong with his VERY lucky lab partner next period), he asked what his prize was for catching you. You ignore the devious pointed grin to give him a kiss on his cheek, a real mistake as he squeezed you extra tight until he felt he was properly compensated in kisses.
Jamil Viper:
Jamil thinks, at first, that he should’ve let you fall on your ass but his ‘don’t let the rich idiot die’ training kicked in automatically. He stared at you with a raised eyebrow, his disappointed mother look getting you to confess immediately to what had gone wrong. When you thank him he’s suddenly flustered, telling you not to bring him into your shenanigans unnecessarily as a real ‘thanks’. When you offered up a kiss on the cheek Jamil found himself thrown off balance again, doing his best to glare and cursing himself for only ever finding trouble.
Malleus Draconia:
Malleus caught you with total ease, looking at you in his arms with an amused smirk on his face. He asked if you were alright, giving you a once over before carefully setting you back on the ground (you don’t think you’ve ever been that high up). Before you’re down though you find yourself wrapped around his neck, your lips pressed hastily against his cheek. Your boldness had always amused him and this was no different, Malleus asking if he could get another if he continued to hold you.
Rook Hunt:
Rook thought he might’ve smelled trouble in the air then, lo-and-behold — a beautiful specimen was offered from the heavens above, falling directly into his strong arms within the blink of an eye. He is painfully curious on how you managed to get in a situation like that, having to compliment your ability to stay stunning even while wildly flying through the air in a panic. He insisted you invite him next time, even the sweet kiss on the cheek you give not enough as he refused to put you down until you agreed to bring him on your next adventure.
Vil Schoenheit:
You can’t help but note that, despite his slim, sleek physique, Vil is actually quite strong. He doesn’t have any trouble holding you in his arms, sighing and asking what caused such a scene. He takes it in stride but you can see he wants to give a thorough lecture (and perhaps a much less elegant ass-kicking) to the person who almost caused you harm. Now, if you were the culprit behind your own almost demise you’d be on the receiving side of his withering glare, no kisses able to save you from the scolding he delivered.
(This was originally an ask received through Twitter)
"Back in GloMas (on JP), I think I remember there being a lot of madness surrounding Idia being close to Yuu. I think it’s because he referred to them as ‘Yuu’ rather than ‘Yuu-shi’, but I still don’t quite get it??"
Yes! Honorifics as a whole have already discussed more in-depth here, but Idia does drop his honorific for the prefect once in Glorious Masquerade.
Quick overview for those who may not know: when you don’t use an honorific with someone (-chan / -kun / -sama / etc), this is called yobisute (呼び捨て), written with the kanji for “to call” and “to throw away,” and the word might just not exist in English. It means “to refer to someone without an honorific."
Twst uses honorifics (and yobisute) to track the evolving relationships between the characters.
Deuce, for example, has a line about how he used to yobisute his teachers (i.e. he refused to add “-sensei” to their names) in middle school. To compensate for his past rudeness, Deuce now refers to every single upperclassman by “lastname-senpai.”
There is even a cute scene during New Year’s where Deuce greets Jamil by calling him Viper-senpai, but after Jamil feeds him an egg salad sandwich he changes—just once—to Jamil-senpai.
Epel is another character whose use of honorifics is significant: Epel is under order from Vil to always use honorifics with everyone. During Book 5 we see him using “-kun” with Deuce, up until Deuce refuses to let Epel fight the bullies trying to steal their blastcycle.
Deuce says that he is the one who took Epel out of the school and so he will be taking responsibility for his actions, and we get Epel’s first “Deuce” yobisute.
Cater might be the character who weaponizes honorifics the most.
He seems to be using honorifics as an over-familiarity-buffer-zone, as he is actively trying to avoid becoming too close to those around him (re: “Cay-Cay doesn’t really do long-term friends or found family").
There is one exception to Cater’s rule of honorifics: Trey.
During Book 1 Cater refers to him as “Trey-kun” for the majority of the story, until Riddle’s overblot makes things serious enough for him to drop it and call him “Trey” (even during these scenes, however, he keeps his honorifics for others).
The novel even comments on this directly, saying, "Usually, Cater does not ever yobisute anyone. When he calls to Trey, he always adds ‘kun’ to his name. This is probably one of his skills as a good-natured person. When Cater uses Trey’s name like this, it is only when he is really serious. Only when it is important."
This is all to say that, depending upon the character, yobisute can be a huge deal. It isn’t a black-and-white rule, of course—it varies by each character and their personality.
Kalim, for example, refers to everyone with yobisute, possibly because his status back home meant that he was simply never taught to defer to anyone, and/or because he legitimately considers himself to be close, personal friends with everyone he meets.
Idia is one of those characters like Cater and Deuce for whom yobisute is a big deal. There is exactly one person he refers to without any form of honorific, and that person is Ortho. Much like how he uses his tablet to avoid talking to people face-to-face, he is possibly, intentionally keeping up an over-familiarity-wall like Cater.
The English-language adaptation has translated his honorific of “-shi” as “Mr.,” but it’s actually gender-neutral, which may be why the English-language game’s continuity is so inconsistent, and why the moment of Idia referring to the prefect without an honorific did not make it to EN: while the honorific disappears and reappears in English, he actually uses it to refer to the prefect in Book 6, and it is otherwise in 100% of all of Idia’s dialogue in the original game.
With one exception: Glorious Masquerade.
This is why JP lost its collective mind when it happened (the fan-art is delightful, like this short comic of the characters pointing at Idia and chanting "yobisute"), because it is something Idia had never done before and has never done again, and it was with the prefect.
Yobisute is usually very significant in the game, like during Book 6 where Azul, who uses the “-san” honorific with literally everyone except Jade and Floyd, uses yobisute with Riddle when he is in danger, and when Riddle uses it with Leona just before his overblot in Book 2.
Which means it will be interesting to see if Idia is going to continue with this yobisute-ing of the prefect outside of Glorious Masquerade! (which would be great for confirmation that it wasn't just a proof-reading error ww)

Summon Line: Do try not to completely lose your heads... Is what I'd like to say, but it's difficult to not feel excited at an amusement park.

Home: A show? How fascinating.
Home Idle 1: Anyone can easily become a star? What a thing to say, Fellow. You know nothing of the efforts that people will single-mindedly put forth for that chance.
Home Idle 2: I see they have a haunted attraction here as well. Let's head there, I may be able to find some good inspiration for movie makeup or props.
Home Idle 3: Just as I thought, Leona sticks out like a sore thumb at an amusement park. He seems more suited to be the uninterested parent who was dragged to chaperone.
Home Idle - Login: I've been to an amusement park many times for work, or photoshoots, but it's been many years since I've been to one for leisure. Come now, let's get a move on.

Home Tap 1: I have a traditional jacket paired with more modern boots. The tulle accentuates my silhouette. What do you think?
Home Tap 2: I used waterproof makeup today. So, we should go and line up for a water ride!
Home Tap 3: They have an attraction where you fly through the air in a bug-shaped cart? I feel as though if Jamil were here, he would be screaming even before the ride started.
Home Tap 4: The cricket mascot is dressed like quite the gentleman. That badge on his chest is nicely stylish, as well.
Home Tap 5: You want to ride the roller coaster? Alright then, I don't mind. My hairstyle today is set so as to not be tousled by the slightest bit of wind.

Thinking about Chilchuck recommending his daughter replace him. Thinking about Marcille's fear of outliving everyone. Thinking about Marcille staying friends with Chilchuck's family for generations and generations.
okay but if you ever see a male creative who had a string of great work and then everything else he did was dogshit, go to the "personal life" part of his wikipedia and look at his relationships. you'll either find a major tragedy he didn't recover from (completely understandable) or, more likely, there was a woman in his life doing uncredited shit editing his stuff or contributing generally and she's not there anymore.
I told a friend about this phenomenon in literature and he called me weeks later like, I remembered what you said about women doing uncredited work when tim burton came up. he made a string of bangers then everything else just was nowhere near as good. the timeline matches perfectly to when he was with this german visual artist (lena gieseke). he's done some good work in collaboration, but if things were dug into I suspect we would find she did a lot more than people realise.
so yeah whenever you look around like wow women didn't work in history, or, women aren't auteurs, or, there just aren't as many great female writers - societal reasons for that aside, half the time they absolutely did.
