It's reassuring to hear this from one's sub. To be reminded that what we do - and possibly feel guilty for enjoying doing - is received happily, even gratefully.

Many masochists NEED the level of release that comes from a properly-outlined session, and if we are not by nature abusive, it can be a shock to the system.

Take heart in knowing that you're providing them release, comfort, and that glorious endorphin rush that they need. And if it doesn't click immediately, keep at it!

Who's to say that you, yourself might not take pleasure in wielding the implements of their satisfaction. In ensuring that you take their measure correctly, apply juuuust the right amount of swing, or squeeze, or bite. It's a fine line to walk, but the look of agonized thanks on their face is so worth the effort.
