Lactarius Deliciosus or Saffron Milkcup - my most favourite mushroomđ§Ą
Beautiful, tasty, crunchy - this is what lizards think about when they see Saffron. No one knows exactly what kind of slugcat he is, but for some reason he attracts more predators than any other ones. Bad for him on one hand, but good for everyone else on the other. Thatâs why he is always ready to take the hit and lead the danger as far away from colony as possible. Even if it means he might need to be saved afterwardsđ
He didnât have any sort of special abilities or poisons like many other slugshrooms. So he can only rely on his strength and agility. And after years of training, he really became a good guard, although his work still sometimes leaves scars on his body
Saffron also loves to cook and even has his own secret recipes. With secret ingredient⌠Very special ingredientâŚ
Yeah, he uses his milk sweat for cooking. It gives dishes a richer, sweet and spicy flavor and, as he believes, makes the dishes much tastier. But, for some reason, other slugcats didn't really appreciate his idea, and now he is not allowed to cook for everyone
However, Saffron continues to cook for himself and create new recipes. In a portable pot made from a snail shell, he always carries some of his signature soup, which he is ready to share with tired and lost travelers)))
just wait a little bit more and I'll make him an iterator with predacon lizard

Well, I did it
Megatron - I love his tfp design. Probably one of the best iteration of Megs. He is huge, heavy armoured, his face covered with scars⌠He doesnât looks like an ordinary military leader who is only capable of giving orders, but like real warrior who can destroy any enemy with his bare hands.
So, in the WOF version, he definitely shares some features with Princess Burn, not only because of his might, but also because of his horns shape and dirty-dark scales (that absorbed blood of his enemies)
Starscream - Boy, I hate him so much đ¤ŁâŚ but in the good way, trust me! In my opinion, when the show's creators make you feel such strong negative emotions towards a villain, it means they've done a great job. Also, I think that his animation in the show was absolutely incredible, because even though he's a 3D model, he still manages to move like a 2D character, which is amazing!
I feel that in my design he still looks more like a skywing, than an icewing (which is kinda logical)
Soundwave - This one was tricky. I couldn't figure out what his mask would look like, so I just made his face a really dark color. I think Soundwave has both gifts of the nightwings, and heâs equally great at telepathy and a future vision. So he doesn't really need equipment to predict enemy movements, which makes him an ideal communicator in the WOF setting. His Laserbeak is part of the armor enchanted by Shockwave, and it might also allow him to open portals (but I'm not sure with this one)
Shockwave - My favourite evil genius. He would definitely have animus magic and mind reading. I think Shockwave is the only one who has advanced the study of magic so far, precisely because he combined it with scientific knowledge and created safer methods of using it, that don't damage the mind. It's like if a Mastermind got animus magic in books.
I also like to think that he didn't heal the damaged part of his face just so that his enemies would fear him more)
Dreadwing - This man deserved better! It's really a shame that he was removed from the show so quickly due to financial problems. It would be great if his arc got a proper conclusion in season 3.
Considering that I didn't want to make him a hybrid, it was difficult to choose a suitable color palette. So letâs just say, that I tried my bestđ
I donât think that he would have any nightwing powers, but honestly it doesnât even matter - this guy can make a bombs, what else does he need to be cool
Arachnid - Did anyone even doubt that she would be a hivewing? Damn, she even got her own âOthermindâ virus. Her design was the easiest to work with - just a little poisonous ass (suspiciously similar to Maleficent).
Just like Starscream, I hate her, but in a good way. She's one of the creepiest characters in the entire series, whoâs acting like a fucking heartless monster, especially with Arcee, but even so, there's always was something mesmerizing about her. I just really like strong female villains
Knockout - Wery bright and charismatic guy, definitely one of my fav cons!
I tried to draw him as handsome as possible. Worked a lot on the face shape and coloring, and as for me it turned out pretty nice (finally).
Most decepticons think Knockout is as stupid and lazy as all the other rainwings. And it's not like he completely disagrees with that. Of course heâs not stupid and lazy, but if itâs means less dirty work on the battlefield, well, heâll continue act like a tipical rainwing
(I also believe that Megatron keeps him as an âartâ)
Breakdown - Fun fact: "Operation Breakdown" was the very first thing I saw in this series. And it was an interesting experience for 8 year old me. Maybe that's why I'm so scared of eye gouging scenes in movies nowâŚ
I think that he didn't have any siblings initially due to his parents nature, and even after meeting Bulkhead, he felt uncomfortable among the other mudwings. And this is why he later chose the side of the decepticons. And maaaaybe because of one cute rainwing influence)
P.s.
I think that, being mostly nightwings and icewings, the decepticons are much more concerned about purity of their blood and rarely accept half-breeds into their ranks.
During the war, there were many animus dragons among decepticons, which is why they have so many artifacts that allowed teleportation and communication at a distance. But, honestly, I still can't imagine what Nemesis would look like in this AU

The sandwing fits him nice, with this black eyes and pinkish-yellow scales. In some ways he even reminds me of Princess Burn

Hunter!!!!!! I made him a sandwing. His name would be flamingo. "But Thunder, that doesn't follow naming conventions!" Actually, *pushes up my nerd glasses* there is a species of flamingo that makes occasional stops in the desert! So take that!!!
I made Hunter a sandwing bc skywing was undoubtedly taken and I didn't have one yet. Also he deserves a tail barb :3. His colors were terrible to figure out. But I came up with the loophole that NSH just gave him a little pink spice to help with identification.
He's easily identifiable due to his pink sail so he usually stays away from populated places. Otherwise other dragons might be mean to him because of his connections with an iterator.
He is an excellent flyer and fighter, aided by the gifts given to him by NSH.
He's traveled far and wide and has now settled down to live the rest of his days with the growing rot inside of him. That's when a young yellow rainwing seeks shelter in his small hut.

I think that being a half-sea, Smokescreen can't change colors as well as normal rainwings. His primary colors are always shades of blue and gray, with brighter colors only appearing locally.

Monk's rainwing name would be sunshine. They can't fly very well and mostly rely on gliding. They absolutely love to sun bathe with their sibling. SO many rainforest friends. makes jewelry from flowers and hands them out in free time. Pretty much refuses to spit venom after accidentally hurting Surv just a bit.

As I said, I like Smokescreen. It's really ironic how he spent the first half of season 2 talking about his destiny and heroic future, and when he was actually told that his destiny was to become the next Prime, he refused, learning what a huge responsibility it was
After rewatching the series I fell in love with them again )
I think Jackie, Bulk and Miko are one of the best group of characters in the whole series. They act like a small weird family, and this is very cute

Well, this was a big piece of work, hah
I took a break from RW and decided to draw something nostalgic
Actually I've been stuck with this idea for two years now and I'm glad I finally found the strength to do something about it. Thanks for inspiration from one good man)
Long story short
In this AU autobots and deceptions are two unions of different tribes: mudwings, seawings and sandwings for the firsts and icewings, nightwings, rainwings and Pantala tribes for seconds. Skywings doesnât exist anymore (because we need someone who takes place of predacons).
People are just people or scavenger if you prefer. And instead of whole cosmos itâs just two mainlands.
- Optimus Prime - I kinda like tfp Optimus. So formidable, powerful and mysterious but really gentle at the same time. And mud/sea combo works here in the best way. As the representation of two main tribes union and strong father/brother figure for team members.
I also think he might be an animus (but donât use his magic often, especially for killing someone)
- Ultra Magnus - Pure Icewing already will be great for him, but I gave him part of seawing so he could be more like an Optimus. But instead of being softer and warmer, Magnus is more cold and pragmatic version of him. A character who sees other dragons not as close allies and friends but as ordinary soldiers.
- Ratchet - Yeah, the seawing would fit him better, but i just donât know how to make the colors work here sooo⌠heâs a weak-fire mudwing. Like a skywing, but mudwing. Why not. Make sense with his lack of guns in origin. I think heâs design can be better, and maybe Iâll remake it.
I love his arc of recognizing people as equals and especially his interactions with Raphael. I think Ratchet often read him scrolls about history and magical artifacts.
- Bulkhead - No surprises here - mudwing fit him perfectly. I think that the Wreckers could been a big and strong mudwing troops, and Bulkhead was a bigwings in such a one. He is lost a lot of his siblings during the war, and therefore tries with all his might to protect the new members of his family. I absolutely adore his relationship with Miko and Jackie, so for me heâs one of the cutest character, and I tried to make his forms round and soft.
- Bumblebee - I know that majority draw him as a hivewing, but in that case the most logical for him will be a night/sandwing. Literally, autobots get their own Sunny)
I think in this version with his lack of a voice he could communicate using sign language or some variation of aquatic.
- Arcee - Also nothing special - she is a seawing. I originally wanted to give her a helmet but it was too hard to draw. Just like Sunny she was born pretty small and now even younger dragons can be bigger than her. Iâm pretty sure she is old enough to have seen Bumblebee when he was a dragonet, so she's literally like an older sister to him.
Actually she really gives me a Queen Glory vibes with her sarcasm and dangerous beauty, so rainwing might fit her as well.
- Smokescreen - I used to think he was just a cringe, but now I realize he's a pretty interesting and realistic character. Like Ultra Magnus, I wanted to make him look like Optimus, only this time Smoke is more of a younger and much more irresponsible version of him. I think in this version (being part rainwing) he's trying to mimic Optimus's coloring using same red, blue and pale-gray shades.
- Wheeljack - The scruffy boy! I think in this version he could be Bulkhead's "adopted sibling", so they are really close to each other. And, because he spent most of his life with Bulkhead, it's harder for him to get close to other tribes and dragons.
Painting scales to keep canonical colors is kinda cheating, but for this dude it totally works. He should have a pretty bright appearance with all those scars and bright spots.
Cliffjumper - Ohoh⌠this poor guy. I didn't even think of putting him here, but I like his smug face too much. Even making his scales darker than the original, it's still too brightly colored for mudwing. He probably jokes about it a lot, saying that his ancestors were skywings.
I really like his dynamic with Arcee, and it's a shame we haven't seen much of their relationship. I think I need to do something cute about that.

I run this blog mostly for fun
as i promised: something i drew a while back
i got very attached to scavs i found SO now they're ocs i don't care.... they're a part of a tribe of scavengers using 'pearl language' - different pearls can mean different things when scratched carefully, when they are differently-coloured, when they are mixed in a specific way (you can think flower language) the tribe also uses pearls to indicate their names, scratching them on pearls and hanging them on their necks. i assure you a lot of iterators and scavengers alike could say they're really just ruining those pearls...
all three of them come from metropolis, with grasshopper being older than leap and collector. very unfortunately, she is the only one of them to witness the raging scarlet slugcat in action.
grasshopper is the best of them in combat and an incredible jumper, leap is the fastest one of them and collector has a veeery specific love for collecting spears, but not using them. you can always trust him to have at least one on him if you need one.
i tried to come up with symbols for their names and i am really sorry if they're bad!!

actually, how do you go about drawing scavengers and lizards? really curious about how you figure out their shapes and anatomy
Ohohoho, this is a good question)
Tbh there is nothing specific here, mostly just a simple rules about shape language, poses and colors
If i dont use references for creatures, i simply think what sort of amotions i want the art to evoke. It's pretty easy with lizards especially. I have some kind of two extremes in their image. Depending on what kind of creature I want to draw, I choose something in between - less or more big and scary
And with scavs it works pretty much the same way
