Trying her best to ignore the smell she turned back to the screen. Cooper’s character was also smoking, taking long seductive drags as he flirted with the love interest in the film. The way he did it was exactly the way the Ghoul just had. As Lucy turned back to look at the Ghoul she realized both he and Cooper were holding their cigarettes in the same way. Taking puffs at the same time. And when Cooper reached for his beer, the Ghoul took a sip of his Cola. They were in sync, their reactions and mannerisms were the same. And when she compared his face to the one on the screen, even with all its burns and scars, and ugliness, she had a horrifying realization. They were the same person.

“God! Why are you bringing that up? Do you think I don’t feel terrible about all of that? I feel like in some way everyone who died, everything that happened, is my fault. I haven’t gotten a second of sleep since we left the observatory! When I close my eyes I see the bombs, I see my father, and I feel Monty’s hands against my throat. I carry the burden of my father's sins because he has no humanity to do it himself. I don’t need you to pile whatever two hundred years’ worth of hate you have onto me too”

Either way, he took a hit of his inhaler before continuing, “How do you know about that movie?!” “My dad used to show me holo-tapes of Cooper Howard's films!” Oh god, she was a fan. “He said he got them from Vault 31, but he probably kept them wherever Vault-Tec stored his body for the last two hundred years. I enjoyed watching them! I had a bit of a crush on Cooper, especially in ‘A Man and His Dog’ he was really cute when he was younger-”
