fanfic writing culture isn’t “oh dang! I wanted to write about this prompt with this character but someone else already wrote it, so now I can’t”.
fanfic writing culture is always “two cakes is better than one. the more the merrier. there can ever be enough fics of this character with this prompt!”
thank you for leaving kudos!
You already left kudos here. :)

does o’hare get a new design in this because he stole edna mode’s in the illumination film.
also imagine the once-ler starting off with his whole face showing, but as the musical goes on he starts to cover more and more of his face: first a pair of sunglasses, then a thneed as a scarf, but as the valley gets more and more polluted he starts to use it to cover his nose and mouth, and somewhere along the way his shades get replaced with goggles to keep the smog away from his eyes. like that would be so cool
This is my rough outline of a stage musical based on The Lorax, the book, special and movie. It’s heavily inspired by and will include these demo songs on the film soundtrack that were cut from the final product, so please listen to them before reading.
I think the 1972 animated special is a pretty perfect adaptation of the book on its own. Here I aim to preserve its strengths and redeem the elements with potential that the painfully shallow, mediocre film added, fumbled and wasted, because my obsessive, autistic brain couldn’t pose the question “But what if The Lorax (2012) was good?” without attempting to answer it.
Comments and questions about the outline and my creative process are incredibly welcome!
Miles Edgeworth singing ‘My Past is Not Today’ from My Little Pony while alone in his office, almost about to throw his cravat on the floor during the second verse but not properly doing it because no way is he going to wear a cravat that he once threw on the floor in a moment of (un)necessary emotional intensity.
I made these as a way to compile all the geographical vocabulary that I thought was useful and interesting for writers. Some descriptors share categories, and some are simplified, but for the most part everything is in its proper place. Not all the words are as useable as others, and some might take tricky wording to pull off, but I hope these prove useful to all you writers out there!
(save the images to zoom in on the pics)
