Subject: Green IQ Topic: #Propagation Hello everyone, the weather is just amazing and while busy going through the garden I noticed that there are valuable plants that can be preserved for a long term, but currently not in good condition so I thought hey, why not propagate them?. So I went ahead and googled a bit on propagation techniques, and seeing that I have the best evergreen throughout the garden and other plants with medicinal properties, I just couldn't wait to get started and as you can see there's "Aloe Vera" amongst the collection, followed by "Jade plant"; "Lavender"; "Christmas Cuctus" and others... So next on my list is to try propagate "ROSES", OMG!...I am so looking for this one, but you see I want get everything right and not rush the process as I'm still learning a lot about this new found passion of mine. Multitude of Microscopic Wonders Discovered in the World’s Oceans
““This is the largest DNA sequencing effort ever done for ocean science: analyses revealed around 40 million genes, the vast majority of which are new to science, thus hinting towards a much broader biodiversity of plankton than previously known,“ explains Patrick Wincker, from Genoscope, CEA. EMBL’s high performance computing was essential in compiling this comprehensive catalogue, which is estimated to be derived from more than 35 000 different species whose genomic content had been mostly unknown to mankind until now.” – http://oceans.taraexpeditions.org/en/m/science/news/first-scientific-results-from-the-tara-oceans-expedition/

How about that!
By now you’ve probably heard the news that gravitational waves have been directly observed for the first time ever. Are you excited?
Our friends at PBS Space Time are pretty excited about it too, and they’ve put together an awesome video explaining the physics behind this discovery and why it’s so important.
