At this point I just refuse to believe Charles is not inlove with Edwin.

Like besides the fact he looks at him like he's the sun and stars and everything in the universe and all of that; it's so in character for Charles to fall for the first boy that ever showed him kindness. The first person that was ever nice to him, made him feel safe, cared for him as he died. After the way they met?? Of course Charles will bloody fall for Edwin, how couldn't he?

Last song I listened to: Boys Don't Cry by Oliver Cronin (I listened to it for Charles Rowland inspiration for the fic I'm writing). Also Punching Bag by PALAYE ROYALE (also for Charles inspiration).

Currently watching: Dead Boy Detectives, I'm emotionally incapable of moving on from this crazy good show at the moment. I have waited for it for years and it did not disappoint.

Sweet/Savoury/Spicy? I don't know. I can't handle spice although I like the taste, I really like both sweet and savoury but at the end of the day it's probably sweet for me lol.

Relationship status: single and confused as fuck about who am I attracted to/ how my attraction works (aro ace specs) so there's nothing to even talk about at the moment. Much like Edwin, I have no riz, unlike him, I don't have tons of people attracted to my autistic swag.

Current obsession: Dead Boy Detectives all the way baby. This hyperfixation is going strong. Also DC trans characters (Xanthe Zhou, Jules Jourdain, Galaxy, Aerie, etc. Mostly the Spirit World comic of Xanthe and John Constantine). And a few other vertigo characters (Tefé Holland John Constantine Madame Xanadu Lucifer and etc). Yeah I'm mostly a DC person.

Also Sandman! Specially Delirium. Delirium the love of my life I love her so much and I'm so excited for her to appear. Also Death Destruction and Desire but mostly Delirium (Del my love).

Charles Rowland and Edwin Payne are so real, I too would've avoided understanding my sexuality or confronting with my trauma for decades.

The fey canonically exists in the Sandman Universe.

Their lore wasn't deeply explored in "The Dreaming: Waking Hours" where a major part of the plot took place in their realm, but they did seem to follow the traditional versions and go by the same rules.

Let's examine this:

Magical tricksters.

Blur the lines between good and evil, morally grey beings.

Time passes differently on realms of the fey.

Luck of understanding of boundaries. They'll get involved in your drama, they'll push you and invade your privacy.

Able to shift their appearance, wear disguise. The fey were shown to do that in the comics.

Why do people behave like Edwin is the main character and Charles is just there to be his "bestie" low key making him "sidekick"??? Because it's starting to feel racist.

They go through the same amount of development throughout the show. Both of them have major story lines.

Just watched an interviewer introducing George and Jayden as "George, who plays Edwin. Jayden, who plays Edwin's best friend Charles."

I NEED YOU TO SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU WHITE BOY. THEY BOTH BELONG TO EACH OTHER EQUALLY.

I love Edwin. But Charles is not his accessory. Treating Charles as anything less than equal feels racist.

Finally finished my Dead Boy Detectives fic!

It's just fluff about Edwin and Charles. The boys took control over my head I can't write or read anything else.

Warnings: none. It's just fluff.

Word count: 2,000 words.

Relationships: Edwin Payne/Charles Rowland, Edwin Payne&Charles Rowland.

Summary: After the hell confession, Edwin tries to refrain from touching Charles, to not make him feel like he's overstepping the bounds of a normal friendship.

Charles, that loves touch, is sick of it. And confronts Edwin what's going on?

(Including kissing and cuddling later).

Or basically just Edwin tries to stay away and Charles pulling him close.

(Very fluff no plot).

Conclusions from watching Doctor Who so far:

The Doctor is a jellyfish. To be specific the immortal jellyfish, a special jellyfish that never dies, it just regenerates again.

Edwin probably had a deep technological shock when he came back.

I imagine myself Charles the 80s boy is teasing him for not getting along with technology well (teasing affectionately, of course).

My deepest apologies for my followers that followed me for other stuff like bat family or hell-verse content and all I talk about is dbd now.

(This show is so good just give it a chance).

I know most of the DBDA fandom probably thinks at paineland at the trope of "x fell first, xx fell harder" is Edwin falling first and Charles now falling harder; because Edwin was obviously shown first to express his feelings.

But consider this-

Charles falling in love with Edwin slowly a little more every day, falling a bit deeper for him every day they spent side by side.

And at some point later- Edwin is crushing hard. Realizing "oh shit, I love him-" and falling hard in a chaotic storm of feeling he doesn't know how to deal with, he's a complete mess.

Idk, I personally prefer the second version more but both options can be great interpretations of their dynamic.

A conversation I had with my friend while they were watching dbd ep 4:

My friend: (learning about Charles' backstory) oh god did that boy ever had a happy day in his life?

Me, meaning it with all of my heart: anyday that Edwin was there.

Me realizing a few moments later: oh wait in his life? So no.

Dead Boy Detectives's fanarts artists- where are all the fanarts of Charles wearing a skirt?

How did people got "a straight guy rejecting a gay guy" from "I can't answer you right now but we have forever to figure it out" Charles Rowland I'll never understand.

A call for attention!!

Guys, the numbers for "Dead Boy Detectives" are bad, which puts us in the threat of cancelation.

This is a show with primarily non-white cast, of various identities with explicitly queer storylines. No queerbaiting or "maybe we can hc them as x or y". Real stories.

It's a fun show, too, to say the least. I know it is discouraging to keep talking about numbers, but the reality is that we need them.

Binge the show, tell your friends, tell your family, play it in the background as noise, let's rack up those numbers.

We and every queer kid after us deserve to see stories about them told in the most fantastical, spooky setting.

It would also be a wonderful plus to see Desire and the Cat King together, would it not?
