It's so very important to me that Charley and Wally very much are just like "yeah man you're hot as hell. Love you" because Wally is. From the 80s. And very masculine. He's a football player for fucks sake, just calling his male friends hot and telling them he loves them would get him similar if not the exact same treatment that the rest of the football team gave that unknown name guy at the memorial but he just says this stuff to Charley.
