Icewings! My style!
Ive finally settled on giving them dark limbs and reindeer antlers but I’m open to suggestion!
I gave them thick fur that protects them from the cold and harden into quills on their backs, necks and tails like porcupines! I also love giving them serrated claws and teeth, which are used for gripping slippery ice and prey! They would mostly use their serrated teeth to tear through the thick blubber on most of their prey, like seals and walruses! And I love them having really dark blue eyes like their blood from cannon!
This was really fun to do! Hope you like it! How do you like to draw icewings? I’d love to hear all about your headcannons! ^^

Ooooooooo ok so lower rank icewings are more like seals in body types bc they have to fish more than hunt openly and they need more body fat to stay in the freezing water and seawings who live most of their lives in flowing bodies of water tend to be more long and streamlined like eels!!! Like Tsunami bc she lived in the cave for the first 9 years of her life and her only water source is a river with relatively fast running water!!

I also gave them a more bottom heavy build like a velociraptor so that they can stand/run on their hind legs! ^^

I headcannon that seawings have black blood which means they have copper based blood. Copper based blood Is more efficient in transfering oxygen when under cold or low oxygen conditions which would allow them to travel the ocean depths easier. Creatures who can breath on land and in water all thave frilly gills, and it makes sense why seawing would have frilly gills. This would make them able to be on land for far longer if they just had regular gills.

What if skywing were coloured based on the hotness of their fire?
Darker and red skywings are looked down upon and lighter yellow/white sky wings are treated better.
Blue skywings are treated almost like royalty and light blue ones are extremely rare.
Lighter white blue skywings are often mistaken for icewings by other dragons.
There hasn’t been a white blue skywing born in centuries, and they are talked about like angels.

Imma make new designs for the wof tribes. I might switch between designs every once in a while for a more "cannon" design and my wof character series will be in that style because it's more book accurate (yes I'm still working on it) but otherwise I will be using the new style from now on/until I make new designs. If you guys have any design ideas to include for the new designs feel free to comment them! I hope you guys like the new designs as much or more than the old ones. I love showing my work to you guys and I hope I could have the privilege to have you guys continue to support me. Thank you all!

My beautiful baby boy Charlie! He purrs at the drop of a hat (read: when you pick him up/pet him) and he's over all a cutie patootie. Ok but you know what my issue is with queen glory making rainwings take care of their dragonets is? The fact that they probably evolved this method of keeping the eggs in large groups with no specifc caretakers for many, many years and she's trying to reverse it in one dragon lifetime. Rainwings most likely have to mature early due to their hostile and potentially dangerous environment. Giving them specific caretakers also might not make them less independent over time, and less mature which would make the rainforest a even more dangerous place for an inexpirienced dragonet. She doesn't understand why rainwing dragonets are hatched in groups with no specific parents because she wasn't raised in one. Rainwings probably don't have specific parents because they learn from the accounts of other older dragons and use that as reference in their own life, instead of only having one account to go off of they determine themselves what accounts to use and which ones not to. And because of their likely faster maturity it wouldn't make sense to have a specific caretaker when they would fully mature in 3-4 years and would be independent enough to care for themselves possibly even younger. And yeah the rainwings aren't taking care of their eggs but that is a very easy fix, rather than assigning specific caretakers to each dragonet they could, you know, just make them actually take care of them?? I don't think having glory push her ideals upon the other well cultured dragons because she doesn't like them is extremely unnecessary and a bit egotistical. She should be able to learn about the tribe she's ruling and fugure out the traditions and reasons behind each one, and then figure out how to ethically go about changing their ingrained behavior because that's what a good queen does. That my issue with glory being queen, especially two tribes. Because she has no experience with either of them, or at leat not enough to properly rule them. Not to mention she's barely just reached full adult hood. Just because she's fully mature doesn't mean she's an adult with experience. Not to mention she quite literally been living under a rock he whole life.

But my point still stands. I don't think that rainwings being responsible of their dragonets would be reasonable or good for both the parent and the dragonet considering their history of slacking off. And rainwing dragonets presumably are able to care for themselves despite being so young, which would explain why no dragon was worried when dragonets were going missing. While they are lazy they still have feelings and it would make sense if rainwings could care for themselves at a young age and having the ability to help themselves. I feel like if any dragon knew what was going on in the night kingdom they would be horrified and would want to help. Just because their lazy doesn't mean they don't care for eachother, they just don't know how to help other in that sort of way because usually everyone cares for themselves without any help. Why would you try and take over another dragons free will when they can do so much by themselves?
