male civility is a facade.
We are statistically more likely to have a rapist or a child molester as pope than we are to have a female pope.
it’s crazy how every 2 years there’s a new misogynistic hate campaign against a woman in entertainment started by some man and people eat it up every time and then 2 years later are like wow we were lied to and deceived :-( but THIS woman is definitely a manipulative bitch this time
"it''ll be a statue of a woman, like a beautiful statue of a woman, and it'll be like...she helped lead the way for so many refugees or she was a nurse or she was this and she was that. She was just this pillar of society in her time. She was such an influential and powerful woman.
And they'll zoom in on her face, and they'll zoom in on the plaque, and they'll zoom out and show a full body...and it’ll show that one of her breasts has been basically rubbed off and it’s so shiny because all the tourists and, you know, whoever, has touched her breast and that's her legacy now.
[…] and you walk up to it and it’s just… through all that, through all the effort, through all the care and all the legacy she left behind, the only thing that she is now seen for is her breasts. That's gonna make me actually sick."

some people are just fucking rotten on the inside.
Someone here could make a post like "kicking a baby is never ok", and one of you nuance-snorting enlightened intellectuals would barge in like "but what if it's a genetically bioengineered chimera baby who has been spliced with the DNA of a football, who will get rubber bone cancer if they don't get kicked around regularly. you can't ever just make a generalised blanket term statement ever that doesn't consider every single outlier possibility that may hypothetically exist. uwu."

i really like the definition of “adult human female” because it says “thats all it is. its not femininity, makeup, submissiveness, softness, anything. all it is is biology. the rest is up to the individual”
I don't want a baby. Well, you have one.

Next time a trans advocate tells you transwomen have to use women's facilities because they're fearful of being harassed by men, just say "are you saying all men are violent rapists?" #notallmen
white het boys are evolving at a rapid rate
i low key love it when women straight up go “i wear makeup because i feel ugly without it and people treat me better when im more feminine” or “i shave before going to the beach with my family because i’m not ready to defend myself against them”.
admitting that your actions are influenced by patriarchy is so much better than pretending it’s your own unique feminist girlboss impowering choice. i’m tired of “if a woman chooses to do it then it’s feminist” bullshit.
@ terfs and radfems who are pro-gender abolition but don’t believe in nonbinary people, why?
Reclaiming these words is a male supremacy linguistic trick to make women participate in their own humiliation.

Two people are standing in front of you. One is male, and says “I want to share a space with her”. The other is female, and says “I don’t want to share a space with him”.
Think: Which person do you listen to? Which person’s desires do you care more about? Which person’s preferences do you think are more important? Which person’s boundaries do you think are less important? Which person do you think is more important, and which person do you think is less important? Why?

The Connection Between PTSD and the Menopausal Transition
I used to love drawing women years ago (especially as fairies) because the female form is beautiful. As I got older and saw how women are so sexualized in EVERY image, I began to feel uncomfortable drawing them with visible breasts because I felt subconsciously that even acknowledging that part of female anatomy was sexualizing them, so the breasts got smaller and smaller until they were pretty much flat chested and the women were androgynous. I am pretty sure this was a microcosm of what happens to women who feel dysphoria over their own breasts because of discomfort being sexualized, and just want them to go away. I understand it entirely. A sick culture that warps and makes a perversion out of natural things will make you eventually feel an aversion to those things.
Getting very sick of trans-identified men making creepy, voyeuristic media about the violence and suffering that women and girls experience at the hands of men.
This is precisely what white feminism is about - wasting sanitary pads that could have been donated to shelters when there are so many homeless women who can’t afford to buy them + excluding transgender women from their feminism by writing “No pussy no power” on a pad. This is wrong and disgusting. If your feminism doesn’t include trans women, then your feminism is rubbish.

being a girl and hitting puberty is so traumatic. you go from being a genderless little free thing to being hit with shaving and makeup and growing breasts and skincare and menstruation and suddenly being sexualised when like a few years ago you could take your shirt off to play in the stream and trade yugioh cards with the boys and come home covered in mud and not even think about it. and then you spend years hating being a girl and hating everything puberty did to you and wishing you could be a boy or be completely genderless again and it takes you Many years to come to terms with yourself Or you simply try to Lean In to everything and do makeup tutorials on YouTube and claim it’s for fun. like how can this be treated as normal

the concept that privilege on one axis can “cancel out” oppression on another axis is such a prevailing idea among this generation. it’s led to so much damage within social justice movements, and i think it directly contributed to the rise of identity politics, “oppression olympics,” and the obsession with listing every detail about your mental illnesses, race, and disabilities online. it’s a constant battle to prove that you’re oppressed, that you have the least amount of net privilege. it’s not factual, and it has no bearing in the real world. oppression and privilege on different axes can’t be added and subtracted from each other. they are different variables.
"We're born alone and we die alone" You weren't born alone!!!!! Your mom was right there!!!! How could you be born alone??? HOW
most female pop singers are a face used to market songs written and produced by men, styled and choreographed and directed by men, dressing men's thoughts up as women's thoughts and then convincing the world this is how women think and feel because men's words are coming out of a woman's mouth
Imagine that when you were born your entire family celebrated. "It's a girl! How wonderful, just like we hoped for! A perfect baby girl!"
Imagine being bounced on your mother's knee and her cooing, "what a strong girl you are! You are going to grow so big! You are so brave, your grip is so strong, and your voice so loud!"
Imagine being dressed up for practical, comfortable clothes and having your hair out of the way, and then told to run wild. Imagine being given complex toys, a tool kit, toy swords and shields, mechanical toys, building blocks, kids' science and story books. Imagine being told, "she's so creative and innovative! She knows what she wants. She's always so curious and inventive."
Imagine all your family, relatives, babysitters and teachers describing you as a leader type, a moral guardian, a responsible and promising young girl, creative, strong, opinionated, intelligent. A future leader, an organizer, someone whose voice is loud and clear as it should be.
Imagine your maturing being a source of joy. You are getting taller, bigger, stronger and sturdier. You have a healthy appetite of a growing young woman. Your body is a powerhouse of survival. You get your period and it's celebrated, you are entering womanhood and showing the power of a lifegiver. Period is a sign that you are strong and healthy, your body is amazing. You get to decide what's for dinner at home because your growing body is a priority for all and you need to care for it.
Imagine respect of your peers and security among you. Imagine relying on other women like you without insecurity. Imagine being fearless, proud, content and limitless, full of promise and possibilities.
Now, I know that none of us got to live like that. But for a moment, imagine that you did, and then try to imagine the woman you would be today. What kind of a person is she? What does she want? What are her dreams, her possibilities? What limits and fears have been completely banished from her life?
How does she see herself?
You might not be her, but once you imagine that woman in your mind, she becomes real, and you can become her.
