i've been trying to figure out the reason for the very hollow feeling after last chapter and i think it's like -
before anyone gets on my ass, again, i think the past few chaps divorced from everything else were very well done, more so than many of the previous chaps. but in the grand scheme of the entire story i'm kinda like,
what am i even rooting for the villains' survival for?
i mean in a different sense than my pessimism about them either dying or ending up in prison, like, even if they got the best ending possible and escaped somewhere. because at this point jin IS dead and IF himiko is also dead (and possibly dabi idk) it's like,
why do i even WANT anyone to survive at this point
they've lost so much. the only things they had were each other to begin with. and now they don't even have that either.
i'm not trying to rail against people moving on and living a fulfilling life after losing loved ones, but these are characters, who aren't going to get that story, for one. for two, these are characters who had major parts of their growth and belonging hinge on one another, who emphasized feeling acceptance and camaraderie, often for the first time, when they came together. take that all away and it just feels so -
lonely.
why would i want the rest to survive to just be the Only One(s) left?
My deepest darkest fantasy is that I collapse on the street and I am rushed to the hospital. They perform a bunch of tests and find out I am severely deficient in some kind of vitamin. Then I start taking the vitamin and I become the happiest cleverest person alive because all my problems were caused by this one deficiency
My theory about what happened to Touya is pretty much the same as yours - he attempted to do something dangerous with his quirk and burned alive for it. As to reason for it, I don't know. I do think, however, that it WASN'T during training, and I don't think Endeavor trained him at all after it became clear that he was "defective" - what would he gain from it. From what we see of the flashbacks, Touya was a healthy kid that played with his siblings.
I agree. The timeline doesn’t seem to work out that way.
We know that while Touya had a powerful fire quirk, his body was too weak for it.
So Endeavor must have given up on training him already at a young age and went on to have other children: Fuyumi, (unless twin theory, which I think it’s quite plausible given Endeavor’s and the other kids’ age), Natsuo and Shouto.
Here is Shouto at five, pre-scar, not allowed to play with his siblings - and Touya is still among them. Endeavor clearly only training him.

I’ve never really put these two scenes together in my mind, but ya gotta love how Dabi criticizes how Shigaraki handled the attack on the USJ by saying that it would have been better to go with a small group of *elite* villains when the last time we saw Dabi, Giran was like “yeah, he hasn’t really done anything yet, but he likes Stain. So there’s that.” We stan a bitch with confidence
what is it with hori writing adult woman characters thirsting after childeren, jfc.
Idk if you’re referencing something that happened in the new chapter since I haven’t read it, but I’ll venture a guess in saying it’s probably because he thinks sexual harassment is funny and because he possibly harbors a mild kink for dominant women whilst being extremely scared of them and not being capable of respecting them as people
spinaraki e-couple discourse where shigaraki gets mad at his little kitty for not answering his 1am league of legends game request in the public LoL discord server 💔
(never thought I would actually see e-couples fighting on discord but I guess there's a first time for everything)
NO WAY NO WAAAAAAAYYYY ARE PEOPLE DOING THAT. DERANGED. anyways i do think it would be funny in a fucked up way if shigaraki tried to make it so that spinner conformed to his own wake-sleep-game schedule regardless of insomnia but he isn't subtly manipulative enough to trick spinner into it. luckily spinner has no friends who are capable of talking to him about red flags and also spinner thinks it's really romantic that shigaraki wants to spend that much time with him 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
