Simple Self Love Potion -Moon Water -Rose Petals -Rose Quartz -Black Tea Light
Hi! I was wondering if you could tell me a bit more about your 'getting to know you' spread for a new deck? It probably sounds silly but my new deck feels a bit 'reluctant' compared to my previous one, if that makes sense, and I was wondering if you had any pointers đ
Hello! First off, you donât sound silly at all. Some decks, just like some people, are a little shy or reticent when they meet someone and need a prompt to open up. Which is where Deck Interviews, like my Getting to Know You spread, come in.Â
The standard deck interview, which I first came across quite a few years ago, is a six card draw. However, as Iâve worked Iâve expanded on that and my current spread is a nine draw. Yes, this is because Iâm quite attached to the magical significance of 3x3 but also because Iâm one of those people who canât resist tinkering to make things personal.Â
Caveat at this point to say everyone should please feel free to change this in anyway that feels right to you.
So, the spread itself:
The five cards in the bottom row focus solely on the deck:
1. What is your nature? Basically tell me about yourself, give me an idea of your character.
2. What are your strengths? Tell me what type of readings youâre going to excel at.
3. What do you like doing best? Which may at first glance look like a repeat of question 2, but it isnât. I have observed that, again like people, some decks may not always enjoy doing the thing they are best at - Iâm brilliant at maths but I get much more joy out of reading tarot and writing (which Iâm good at but not as good as I am at maths).
4. What are your weaknesses? Tell me what type of readings youâre going to struggle with.
5. What do you not like doing? Again, like people, the thing your deck might like least may not correspond to what it is weakest at.
The three cards in the middle row focus on the immediate relationship between you and the deck:
6. How do you feel about me? (no explanation needed)
7. What do you think I need to learn? Tell me what youâve come into my life to teach me/help me understand.
8. How can I work to achieve that? Tell me what you want us to focus on first.
The final card on the top row is looking ahead at the relationship between you and the deck:
9. Where do you see us going together? Tell me which path weâre on, in this journey weâre about to take together!
I hope that helps. If you do use it, or create your own deck interview spread from this, please do share the results!
Not sure when you posted this but I am sending you some calm and healthÂ
xoxo -N
I am in desperate need of some healing in my right shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. All the moving and cleaning that we have done has left me bruised, internally and externally, and with me not being able to lift my arm very far.
We still have plenty to do and I am sick of being made to feel guilty due to my pain. I am the unemployed one, so Iâm doing most of the work alone / with a 3 yr old in tow.
I beg of you all, please hold me in your prayers, or spells, or whatever you specialize in. Iâd also appreciate spells that I could perform myself if anyone has them to offer.
Thank you in advance. â¤â¤
Just as the title suggests, this is a very simple spell to garner truth from the one who conceals it. This is very straightforward and requires few ingredients, though if you wish to delve deeper and put forth a bit more work, I recommend appealing to Rahab, who can find truth in any matter or a Pomba Gira Cigana.
Salt
White Fabric
An envelope (or bottle)
Solomon Seal Root
Violet Stems
Take your white fabric and cut it into a shape vaguely resembling a tongue and mark thereon the above symbol. While performing the following, proceed chanting the following incantation:
Through the mirror I see â Through the cloud I see â Through the mask I see â Speak it.
Place half of the violet stems horizontally upon the symbol side of the tongue and the root atop the stems, then roll the tongue into a âscroll.â Tie it up and place it into a small envelope that has been primed with powdered Solomon Seal and violet stems as well as enough salt to cover the scroll once within. Allow this to âmarinateâ for 3 days, as which time retrieve the âscrollâ and wear it about the neck as a visible charm. Use the remaining powder to dust the tracks of he/she you wish to be honest with you.Â
A pampering spell to help bring out that self-love and confidence for my lovely single witches this holiday
By Rainy-Day-Witchcraft
Pink, red, and/or white candles
Sea and/or epsom salt
Lavender, Lotus, or Rose scented essential oil
Ginger
Cinnamon
Food coloring (optional)Â
Rose Quartz
Paper pad & writing utensil
Step 1. First things first, mixing and preparing materials! I recommend beginning this step the night before you plan to perform the spell.
In a small bowl, mix together your carrier salts with the oil of your choice, a bit of cinnamon [love and success], some ginger [love, prosperity, success, and inner strength], and - if youâd like to add a bit of color - a few drops of food coloring. Once youâve thoroughly mixed the ingredients to create a magickal body scrub, hollow out a small hole and place a rose quartz stone in the middle ~ Leave the mixture to soak up energy from the rose quartz overnight or for 8-12 hours.
(Note: If you already have a body scrub that you prefer, feel free to use that instead! Or, if youâd rather buy one than make your own, that is perfectly alright too)
Step 2. Once your mixture has sat for awhile, gather up all you need. Because you will be scrubbing your body with the salts, prepare a nice warm bath or shower for yourself ~ Decorate your bathroom with the candles, dim the lights, and light them. Begin the spell by stepping into the bath or shower (Tip: make sure your salts are within reach, so you donât have to get out to grab them!)
Step 3. Perform your normal bathing routine, imagining a shining light that flows with the water as you do, cleansing your body of any negativity or âdirtâ; physical, mental, spiritual and magickal. Towards the end, scoop out a bit of your scrub and begin scrubbing it on your body ~ Visualize the salts buffing off the remaining metaphysical dirt; revealing a shining aura and leaving you feeling less heavy. Remind yourself of how lovely and wonderful you are as you do, or take the time to say a chant for beauty, confidence, and love!Â
Once youâve finished, wash the salts off and end your shower or bath.
Step 4. Pamper yourself! Wear a fuzzy robe, soft pajamas, a blanket, or any clothes that make you feel especially comfortable. Then, blow out all but one candle from your bathroom and carry it over to wherever youâd like to sit along with the rose quartz you used for the scrub earlier. Placing the candle beside you, pick up your paper pad and write down at least 20 things you love about yourself⌠and more, if you can! Write what you admire, write down some accomplishments you recently made that you are proud of, write what you enjoy about your appearance or personality ~ anything and everything. If youâd like to go a little further, write down some activities or hobbies that you especially enjoy.
When you feel youâve written all you can, fold up the paper and store in a safe place for later. Whenever youâre feeling upset, anxious, or doubting yourself, take it back out and reflect on just how glorious you are âĄ
Reserve the rest of the day for doing things that make you feel good ~ And remember, itâs Valentineâs, so -Â
