Also rats didn’t spread the black plague flees did. Rats are extremyly social I had a hamster bite and hang on my finger for a solid minute one time. Where my rats would hestitate even nibling the finger that fed them. Last but not least rats have a lot in common with humans like behaviour which is why they’re used as test animals so much (also because they’re cheap but let’s gloss over that one inthis case). Ps: I you adopt a pair of rats don’t give them sawdust in their cage that irritates their noses.
