Joel Left The Series Spamming Ender Pearls And Zipping Around, Mad About His Trap Not Working? Guess

but

I’ve got a theory abt the whole invisibility thing tying into watcher/canary lore

He’s not the canary anymore bc he’s mastered the ability to go unseen by Them this season.

But he’s always had the ability. He’s just gotten better at it.

They’ve actually been targeting him, making him the canary, BECAUSE of that power. They wanted to give him less time to realize or use it. They hate those They can’t control.

Let me tie it into last life.

Last life was his second season; he knew how bad the first one went and didn’t wanna go through it again. He didn’t want to be targeted and out first again. So he tried to go unseen; maybe using powers he didn’t realize he had. Got overlooked by his whole team, never got a life when he started with two, no one even realized that bc they overlooked him. They didn’t even realize they were overlooking him until he acted out, confused on why even his allies weren’t helping him. They just… forgot he was there, and he didn’t realize he was causing it

Double Life, he didn’t use his power, bc he had tango and he didn’t want to be overlooked or invisible. He had a great time with his rancher, but the watchers were able to target him and cause very unlucky deaths

Limited, he was still figuring things out. Maybe he started to catch onto it when it came to Grian’s afk session, idk, you could probably do something with that. But he also didn’t really use the power much, resigned to his fate

Secret life he started testing it out again, mostly as a yellow. He wanted to be able to watch people without them noticing him, and the power started to get activated slightly. Watchers were already pulled thin with fighting the listeners; him unknowingly activating his power allowed him to slip through the cracks completely as things started going down

They were quick to rectify that.

But this season? He knows what’s going on. He knows how to use his power to hide from Them without hiding from his friends. Maybe he learned in Real Life, where Their eyes didn’t track him and everyone could mess around with their abilities without Their interference. Either way, he knows, now. He can start to *do* something about it. He can hide from them (and occasionally slip in a prayer or two, so they don’t get too suspicious of his absence. Oh, he’s still there. They’re listening to his prayers like, he thinks he can convince Them to leave him alone; how cute. Meanwhile he’s hiding in plain sight, distracting Them with prayers that are just an act)

And this session gives him invisibility and it just feels right, and Jimmy realizes just how useful it is to not be Watched.

Illustrations for my fic, Oh, brother!, in which Gem visits her brother Etho for the first time in a while. Oh, and she's also meeting his new partner, and doesn't quite know how to feel about that.

The BAMboozlers might be my favorite team this season, maybe in the entire life series tbh depending on how they end, and I think the main reason for it is how ride or die they all are with each other.

Jimmy wants to be BAM themed, Scar and Lizzie embrace it. Soon enough they're all enthusiastically saying BAM to each other when they start the session.

Scar suggests the BAMbunker offhandedly, Jimmy builds it a few sessions later.

Jimmy needs a kill, Lizzie builds a creeper spawner to get him TNT and eggs, risks her life to get him suspicious stew to keep him alive, and uses herself as bait against her own husband for his sake.

Scar trades a mace for friendship with the Spanners, asks about Grian's grudge against Jimmy, and offers the mace back so that they can all be friends.

When the Quizbot shows up, Lizzie dedicates herself to building an ender pearl stasis chamber so they can all summon each other and help on questions.

Jimmy accidentally hits Lizzie, leading to her death, and feels awful. She lets it go instantly in favor of protecting the both of them from the Warden.

Lizzie and Jimmy go red, Scar offers to go red himself without hesitation so that they can go on murder sprees together.

They all use the BAM HQ together routinely, calling meetings when anything massive changes to keep each other informed, and lean into their theming more than any other group has this season with their matching skins and rollercoasters.

They're also together all the time and constantly trust and build each other up, which is honestly refreshing to see with how toxic and faithless most if not all of the other groups have been to each other.

As someone who is deeply in denial a cis person, I can’t say I know what you’re going through, but please just know that I am just a single message away and am always there for you, no matter what. Don’t feel obligated to or not to reach out to me, just know that it is always an option, and I will always have time for you, no matter what.

My mom is generally super supportive of my being transgender, but a few weeks after I came out, she mentioned how all of my close friends were women. This made me super uncomfortable because they. Are. My. Friends. And my gender shouldn’t change who I’m friends with and also she followed it up with saying that this caused her to doubt whether or not I was really transgender. Like, okay I’m a guy now and I’m allergic to women and I can never speak to my closest friends very again and I can only hang out with bro men who have no personality outside of being sporty assholes. Great idea. Also, two of my three friends my mom was referring to, little did she know, were nonbinary. Don’t get me wrong, I love my mom and she hasn’t brought it up since but this still plagues me to this day. Whenever I make a new female friend, I’m scared as SHIT to tell my mom and I usually exaggerate the amount of time I spend with male friends. I don’t hold it against her, it just fucked me up on accident.

OK so I have. A headcanon that the previous winner will be the first to appear the most recent winner, in order to comfort them and calm them down and stuff.

Grian, the first, was all alone. But he knew what was going on.

When Scott won, Grian appeared to him. That makes sense, he's the administrator and the only player to win before.

When Pearl won, Scott appeared to her. Thst tracks, he had the most influence on her in that game and basically caused her death by killing himself.

Its around when Martyn wins Limited Life and Pearl appears to him that they realize the "previous winner" pattern. Because all they really had in common was going kinda insane towards the end. Fortunately Pearl is able to calm him down.

When Scar wins, Martyn clears his throat from behind him, raising an eyebrow. There's not a lot to say, they don't have much in common- but Martyn heaves a sigh and helps Scar stand up from his position kneeled in front of the Secret Keeper.

Scar is ecstatic when Cleo wins, jumping onto them a cheer and an excited yell. All of the bad feelings they had, if there were even any, melt away, and they are just happy.

Joel is clutching his head from the ender pearl death when Cleo appears in front of him, laughing so hard they keel over. Their laughter is infectious, and it takes a good twenty minutes for both of them to stop gasping for air.

I propose that whoever wins next nearly gets hit by Joel's car when he drifts into their world, and he rolls his window down, yelling for them to "Get in, we have so much to talk about!"

What I am gathering from current fandom discussion

Tfw your only true purpose in life is to be useful to those you care about and to make them happy in any way you can but you feel like you’re failing and there’s nothing you can do.
