i keep thinking about how we got dan and phil games back but they are both out and ready to be gay as shit now, without having to worry about hiding a big part of themselves. and we got a tv show with a big fandom revolving around a ship and we can all gif it and do fanart and have fun but it’s not queerbait this time. instead, there are middle aged gay pirates kissing on screen and the cast joyfully embraces the fandom without an ounce of judgement. this is like my teenage years but better, more comfortable, more open. we can just enjoy things, be comforted, share our love, but we don’t have to lie to ourselves anymore. sometimes growing up can be lovely
