Advice - Blog Posts

so a lot of artists talk abt same face syndrome and like yeah practice diverse faces but nobody talks about same body syndrome nearly as much like…if all you can draw are twiggy skinny boys with no variation other then height  and only draw hourglass girls with big boobs then like…you’re not a great artist and you really need to practice other body types because when i see a line up of characters that are all twinks and hourglass figure girls and theres no fat characters theres no muscular characters theres nothing but just skinny twiggy boys and girls with wide hips and big boobs then its like wheres the flavor wheres the variation not everyone looks like that and if anyone bitches and whines about “ohhh its hard to draw fat people” “ohhh its hard to draw big strong burly men” “oh its hard to draw a fat strong woman” “its hard drawing a muscular girl!” then fucking practice. you arnt going to learn to draw these body types if all you draw are skinny boys and hourglass girls and you’ll never improve and i dont feel any sympathy for you

Okay guys, here's the best drawing advice I can possibly give to someone struggling to find their "style" or is just a beginner in general. Now when I say this you'll probably think it sounds overly simple and stupid as shit, but please trust me on this.

Take your paper, take your pencil, a vague idea of what you want to draw, and just go fucking ham. Do not sit there forever slowly sketching and erasing every 30 seconds. Do not waste time second-guessing yourself. Draw something, and if you think it looks like shit, draw it again, slightly differently. Again, I repeat, don't take your time with this. Just go for it and don't stop. Now, that second drawing might still look like shit, but I bet you it's slightly better. Keep doing this. Whatever you liked about the last drawing, stick with it. Separate the aspects you like from the aspects you don't.

Now, every artist learns differently, but for me and many others, this simple trick works wonders, 'cause guess what guys, focusing too much on your little mistakes is what's holding you back. So stop it. I'll reword it one last time just to make sure you get it through your head. When you're just starting out, trying to find your groove,

don't 👏 overanalyze 👏 your 👏 mistakes! 👏

A couple art tips I wish someone had told me when I was starting out:

FOR ALL AGES BECAUSE YOU CAN START ART WHENEVER YOU WANT AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE YOUNG

If you want to draw people then one of the best ways to improve is to become a little narcissistic and repeatedly draw yourself. You are someone that you'll always have reference to and don't need to feel bad about lacking skill when drawing.

If you want to draw in a cartoon or anime style then first draw realistically so you can form a better understanding of proportions, movement, and perspective. This may not be true for or helpful to everyone but I know many that it has been helpful for.

Quit looking up poses on the internet and model your own poses, you coward! You can choose the angle of the camera and the exact position you want each piece of your body in!

Don't fully render an image in your mind. Think of one or two elements of the piece and let the rest flow for best results. Not many people can replicate what was in their head, you'll be less upset if you keep your ideas and inspiration vague.

“How do I become a better artist?”

By knowing what you want to become better at making art of and practicing.

”uh- that’s a really vague answer actually and [indignant response about how artists should be better at helping that hasn’t been original since that one post talked about it years ago etc etc]”

Okay and that’s fair but can I in response then request people ask less vague questions? Because, coming from an anonymous messenger, whom I know nothing about, not what their current level is, not what their end goal is, not what art style exactly they want to get better in… how are we supposed to help someone who seems to ask what the magic secret is to unlock their artist powers is? Which none of us know either! That’s something that’s deeply personal and subjective, something everyone has to figure out for themselves.

It’s completely different from when someone asks us for advice or tips on something specific, like how light falls on different objects, how to recreate that in different art styles and with different media. Or tips for drawings faces that are more realistic or more cartoony or more anime, etc. Or tips for drawing landscapes. Maybe a step by step guide of how a specific artist draws their specific style. What tips did we follow when we were starting out, what helped us to get to the style we use today. You can ask most of your favourite artists for any specific tips, and they’ll give them to you happily!

But this whole thing of artists getting shit because anons ask them vaguely how is become artist gooder…. We don’t know the secret either! We give you the secret we DO know: know what you want, do research, practice until it’s second nature. That YOU don’t accept that as a good enough answer is because you might not have been specific enough. And it’s unfair that artists have to take shit because of it.

short (kind of): there’s more to practice than doing something repeatedly, it’s also learning new things, problem solving, and honest critique. Each of those is its own skill…also be nice to yourself!

HELP NEEDED

I've accepted an offer from a UK university & it's a dream come true for me (and my family) to continue my study abroad.

But considering that our country's economy is SHITE, I've been trying to look up for ways to fund my studies. For right now, I have a potential loan I'm applying to which would go towards half of my tuition fees - unfortunate to have a loan but at least, there's something, you know?

Here's the thing though, I've heard of people being sponsored by goodwill people who are wealthy (and ig philantropic enough???) to do so - and I'm just wondering - where can I find these people. You might think I'm joking - I'm genuinely not.

I have some side hustles that can only pay me so much, so genuinely, where can I find sponsors? Honestly, of course, if it's not meant to be, then I can try next year's intake but I'm sl close - I already have an offer, I just need some financial help.

So please, good tumblr people, I need some advice or some pointers/leads I can try follow. Other than that, hope you have a blessed day regardless :D

Since I’m struggling

Financially at the moment, I decided that I’m going to open at least one Etsy to help bring money in. Since my fiancé and I are living on our own with four pets on one income. The one I’m starting with is a pet supply one, once I have it up and running I’ll link it if anyone is interested. Also if you have any advice on what to put in my Etsy or other ways to bring in more money it’d be appreciated immensely.

Yes I’m adding pictures of my cute guinea pigs to hopefully get more attention so I can get advice. Also just love sharing my adorable babies with the world. They’re amazing honestly.

I think I just need to vent or advice

I'm honestly terrified at the moment because my fiance and I moved out together which is amazing. But I quit my job before we moved, now the second month of rent is due. And guess what? I still don't have a job. My fiance can cover rent, and utilities, but barely. I have no source of income and it's scary. I'm trying so hard, but it just doesn't seem to be working. I apply to more jobs than I can count, but nothing. I'm gonna try to make an Etsy but last time I did it fell through I don't want that again. I'm so lost of what I should do. I need to get money some how to help us have a more suitable life. I want us to be at least a little above water. I don't expect us to be able to take exciting vacation within the next like three years. But being able to go out to eat once in awhile would be nice. Being able to definitely have food on the table and everything you need sounds amazing. I have no idea what to do from here. I'm trying so hard. I'm looking into cooking for people pet sitting and babysitting. But I just am struggling. It's making my anxiety and depression act up spectacularly. Which is scary in a whole other way. I just wish someone would help me figure everything out. I just wish I could find a way to make a steady income in the meantime. It doesn't even have to be an okay kind of income, just any extra money sounds amazing. Let me know if you know anyways to help me. Or what I could do. Or how I could make my Etsy successful if I do go through with it. Just any help would be much appreciated. Thank you for even reading this whole thing. It kind of helped my mind to write this all out.

Random pieces of advice

The world is less scary and chaotic if you lie down on the floor

Noticing different kinds of light (stars, candles, sunshine or city lights) can bring back the feeling of wonder and hope

If you can’t shower, washing your hands and face will help you feel better and cleaner

If you can’t clean anything else, changing and/or washing your bedsheets can do wonders

Fresh air and being outside in general can help with depersonalisation

Spending time around animals can help you recognise what’s important and calm anxious thought cycles

Techniques for emotional regulation in children can really help adults too

Putting random asortment of food on a plate without creating an actual dish still counts as a meal

Drink something warm

Delete that app

Treat yourself as if you were a kid. Buy yourself a toy, play around, learn about cool new things

Fast paced life isn’t morally better and it’s not good for everyone

There is no good reason to keep yourself hungry

Singing to your full lung capacity can be a great way to let out built up emotion

Tension in the face can cause headaches. Try to massage your face regularly

Nothing is as important as your health

You are a whole person on your own, you don’t need someone else to be there to deserve love and attention. Your life can be full as long as you are present

You should cry things out whenever you feel like it

Slow walks are still movement and they do count

It’s never as bad as you imagine it

Try changing your toothpaste flavor if you hate brushing your teeth

Anything can be a stim toy - one of my favourites is a heavy dragon necklace that has a complicated surfice. It’s fun to touch and hold and it’s not even “actual” stim toy

Procrastinating and feeling bad about it is true waste of time. Learn to truly rest. It takes the same amount of time but it is useful

Sometimes you have to force yourself to do the things that make you feel better

Don’t trust the thoughts you have after not sleeping for a while

Friendships don’t have to be forever to mean something

how to start reading again

from someone who was a voracious reader until high school and is now getting back into it in her twenties.

start with an old favourite. even though it felt a little silly, i re-read the harry potter series one christmas and it wiped away my worry that i wasn't capable of reading anymore. they are long books, but i was still able to get completely immersed and to read just as fast as i had years and years ago.

don't be afraid of "easier" books. before high school i was reading the french existentialists, but when getting back into reading, i picked up lucinda riley and sally rooney. not my favourite authors by far, but easier to read while not being totally terrible. i needed to remind myself that only choosing classics would not make me a better or smarter person. if a book requires a slower pace of reading to be understood, it's easier to just drop it, which is exactly what i wanted to avoid at first.

go for essays and short stories. no need to explain this one: the shorter the whole, the less daunting it is. i definitely avoided all books over 350 pages at first and stuck to essay collections until i suddenly devoured donna tartt's goldfinch.

remember it's okay not to finish. i was one of those people who finished every book they started, but not anymore! if i pick up a book at the library and after a few chapters realise i'd rather not read it, i just return it. (another good reason to use your local library! no money spent on books you might end up disliking.)

analyse — or don't. some people enjoy reading more when they take notes or really stop to think about the contents. for me, at first, it was more important to build the habit of reading, and the thought of analysing what i read felt daunting. once i let go of that expectation, i realised i naturally analyse and process what i read anyway.

read when you would usually use your phone. just as i did when i was a child, i try to read when eating, in the bathroom, on public transport, right before sleeping. i even read when i walk, because that's normally a time i stare at my screen anyway. those few pages you read when you brush your teeth and wait for a friend very quickly stack up.

finish the chapter. if you have time, try to finish the part you're reading before closing the book. usually i find i actually don't want to stop reading once i get to the end of a chapter — and if i do, it feels like a good place to pick up again later.

try different languages. i was quickly approaching a reading slump towards the end of my exchange year, until i realised i had only had access to books in english and that, despite my fluency, i was tired of the language. so as soon as i got back home i started picking up books in my native tongue, which made reading feel much easier and more fun again! after some nine months, i'm starting to read in english again without it feeling like a huge task.

forget what's popular. i thought social media would be a fun way to find interesting books to read, but i quickly grew frustrated after hating every single book i picked up on some influencer's recommendation. it's certainly more time-consuming to find new books on your own, but this way i don't despise every novel i pick up.

remember it isn't about quantity. the online book community's endless posts about reading 150 books each year or 6 books in a single day easily make us feel like we're slow, bad readers, but here's the thing: it does not matter at all how many books you read or what your reading pace is. we all lead different lives, just be proud of yourself for reading at all!

stop stressing about it. we all know why reading is important, and since the pandemic reading has become an even more popular hobby than it was before (which is wonderful!). however, there's no need to force yourself to be "a reader". pick up a book every now and then and keep reading if you enjoy it, but not reading regularly doesn't make you any less of a good person. i find the pressure to become "a person who reads" or to rediscover my inner bookworm only distances me from the very act of reading.

Also, my two cents, it's amazing what happens when I go and do a little light manual labor. Raking leaves, washing dishes, weeding the garden... and suddenly the ideas and solutions start moving again.

Hey, sorry if you’ve been asked this before, but I have ADHD and I’ve been following your comic for years and just now have started to write my own comic (partially because you really inspired me). But I’m really struggling with staying on the project even when it’s boring and getting myself to work on it in the first place. Do you have any tips on how to keep your brain invested or just to make yourself do the work at all?

I have excellent news, I literally just figured out something really important about this.

So when you're an ADHD kiddo or otherwise have difficulty staying on task in a structured environment where Task is the Priority, the main way people try to MAKE you stay on task is by removing your access to anything that is not The Task. No phone, no TV, no doodling, no going outside, etc. In practice, this just makes us miserable because it takes the boredom that's always simmering around a 2 or 3 and cranks it all the way up to 11. In the same way that you would have difficulty staying on task if you were in physical pain, this crushing existential monotony makes it very difficult to work. The work might get done simply because you have no other options, but it will not be done quickly or well, and it will take a while to recover from how much it hurt.

What I realized earlier this week is I caught myself doing this to myself. I had 42 pages of background colors to do, and I thought to myself "this sounds really tedious, but I suppose I have nothing better I can do." And I realized what I'd just thought, and got very alarmed.

Because back when I was an ADHD kiddo imprisoned by school scheduling and a million little factors that keep children immobile and restrained, I couldn't stop thinking about how big and exciting the world was, and how much I wanted to be anywhere but here. When I was feeling really crushed in I'd pick a random spot on the maps on my wall and just imagine being there instead of my bedroom. This was the impetus behind almost all of my creative energy. I've said it before - anything is a prison if you can't leave, and being in a prison makes it easy to imagine how amazing things could be outside of it. Aurora's initial worldbuilding was forged in the crucible of fifth grade misery. My enthusiasm for art and my creative drive are inextricable from my sense of wonder and yearning for excitement in the real world. Not escapism, but appreciation. Wonders unimaginable are out there, and I gain just as much joy seeking them out as I do conjuring them up in my head and sharing them with all of you.

So now that I'm a grown-up with actual freedom in every way I've been able to get, the idea that I was staying on task by making myself believe the world was small and not worth seeing was extremely alarming. It could keep me on task for an afternoon, but at the cost of slowly extinguishing the thing that made me want to make art in the first place - the hunger to experience and draw inspiration from all the myriad complexities in the world.

So what I've been doing is I've been purposefully and intentionally taking excursions whenever I catch myself thinking "I could take a break but it wouldn't be worth it, it's the same outdoors as always, I'll be uncomfy and unproductive and tired." Because that is never true. Every time I've put down the stylus and gone out, I've been renewed in one way or another, and when I come back to comfort fully recharged I get a lot of shit done. Because it is easier to work on anything if you remember why you wanted to make it in the first place, and it is self-defeating misery to just lock yourself in with it and tell yourself you're a bad person if you can't get it done.

I honestly don't know how widely applicable this is. I have worse wanderlust than anyone I know, so for me this has always been modeled as imprisonment vs freedom. I've also been extremely lucky to find myself in a profession that lets me set my own pace on literally everything I do. But I genuinely believe that when it comes to making art with ADHD, you need to give yourself freedom to move laterally, not just in the direction of obvious forward progress. We don't think linearly in any other part of our lives - art is no different.

depression tips™

shower. not a bath, a shower. use water as hot or cold as u like. u dont even need to wash. just get in under the water and let it run over you for a while. sit on the floor if you gotta.

moisturize everything. use whatever lotion u like. unscented? dollar store lotion? fancy ass 48 hour lotion that makes u smell like a field of wildflowers? use whatever you want, and use it all over.

put on clean, comfortable clothes.

put on ur favorite underwear. cute black lacy panties? those ridiculous boxers u bought last christmas with candy cane hearts on the butt? put em on.

drink cold water. use ice. if u want, add some mint or lemon for an extra boost.

clean something. doesn’t have to be anything big. organize one drawer of ur desk. wash five dirty dishes. do a load of laundry. scrub the bathroom sink.

blast music. listen to something upbeat and dancey and loud, something that’s got lots of energy. sing to it, dance to it, even if you suck at both.

make food. don’t just grab a granola bar to munch. take the time and make food. even if it’s ramen. add something special to it, like a hard boiled egg or some veggies. prepare food, it tastes way better, and you’ll feel like you accomplished something.

make something. write a short story or a poem, draw a picture, color a picture, fold origami, crochet or knit, sculpt something out of clay, anything artistic. even if you don’t think you’re good at it.

go outside. take a walk. sit in the grass. look at the clouds. smell flowers. put your hands in the dirt and feel the soil against your skin.

call someone. call a loved one, a friend, a family member, call a chat service if you have no one else to call. talk to a stranger on the street. have a conversation and listen to someone’s voice. if you can’t, text or email or whatever, just have some social interaction with another person. even if you don’t say much, listen to them.

cuddle your pets if you have them/can cuddle them. take pictures of them. talk to them. tell them how u feel, about your favorite movie, a new game coming out.

There's this girl I stalk in NYC. Her name is Bali. Sometimes I get nervous that we might run into each other in the city. She doesn't post on her Instagram hardly though, she's getting kind of boring.

if you ever do… ask if you could buy her a bouquet of flowers on the spot

friendly reminder for the new twitter refugees:

change your icon/pfp and put something coherent in your blog description or you're going to get blocked bcs people think you're a bot

this site is built around reblogs, so please actually reblog posts(especially art and fics!!)

you can set your likes and follows to private

checkmarks here are a meme and mean nothing

follower counts are private and we like it that way, so get used to not judging people by that metric

drama and discourse is boring, use your blacklist and block button liberally

DON'T CENSOR YOURSELF!! we can swear and say kill and make fun of corporations all we want, and if you tiktok-ify your tags people who have things blacklisted for whatever reason will still see them, and people who want to see that content won't be able to find it!! spell words out normally, you won't get in trouble!!

tumblr live is sketchy as hell and full of fake accounts, if you decide to use it anyway may god have mercy on your soul o7

How I Reprogrammed My Mind Within 6 Days / Shifted 4-5 Times Within 6 Days

i took a step back from shifting for a second ( though it was only an hour long break ) i sat with my thoughts and realized my doubts were very likely the problem.

how i discovered my thoughts were the problem

everytime i didn’t shift id get frustrated and everything like that, id be envious of the person who shifted before me and get frustrated. but also id try to jam pack my mind with unnecessary and meaningless information that was of zero help to me on shiftok.

i switched over shiftblr and that’s how i came to the conclusion my mindset was the problem.

what i did consistently for the next 6 days

all i truly did is sit down and think about life, i read a couple of blogs ( ill link the ones that helped me near the end ) and just kept affirming i DID and COULD shift. ive shifted 3 times before this, so affirming i could shift was simple but believing it was the biggest issue. so from day one, i just started acting like i was the shit, bc i was, i js needed to realize it. simple as that

guys pls pls pls

i genuinely need people to realise that when they shift they will be the person they scripted.

when you shift you will live out those experiences and they will shape you out to be the person you are in that reality. that person is actually you

there’s nothing inherently wrong with scripting you had a specific sort of life that’s nothing like your own now. big or small chances idc but istg sm shifters make ocs instead of an actual person

but for a second think about it. is that smth you actually, genuinely, whole heartedly want for urself?

ur drself ≠ an oc

decided to edit this and add some more

why do some people talk about their drselves like it’s someone else and why do some people post stuff about them like they’re a character😭 like pookie that’s you😃😄😃 you know that right?

maybe it helps people figure out stuff ig? idk but i always talk about me like im talking about me? IDK if ur the kinds person who does this pls explain☹️ i would like a more rounded view on things pls and thxs

I hate when ppl are like "You can't just say a couple affirmations before bed and go to sleep and expect to shift" because like, yes you can? People have shifted accidentally before, what makes you think that it's not gonna happen? If you're feeling really low energy, it's okay to just say a couple affirmations and go to bed or just skip that and sleep. Worst comes to worst, you don't shift. There's always tomorrow night though

how to make shifting process more entertaining & not loose motivation

How To Make Shifting Process More Entertaining & Not Loose Motivation
How To Make Shifting Process More Entertaining & Not Loose Motivation
How To Make Shifting Process More Entertaining & Not Loose Motivation

make dr playlists: this is genuinely so much fun. it helps a lot with setting the mood & you could listen to it when unmotivated.

spice up your affirmations: for example, instead of saying basic affs ("i am in my dr") you could be more deilusional & rant like if you were actually there, or highlight things about your dr to motivate you. e.g: "i am in my harry potter dr and omg why did i thought this was a good idea my butt is BURNING from all the walking... hogwarts is TOO fkn big, yesterday fred almost casually blew up a hallway n i had to run for my life. this is a call 4 help..." (directly copied and pasted from my friend's notion ☝️☝️). you can even create stories and use them as affirmations

create a shifting journal: TOP TIER TIPS. there you can write entries as if you were in your dr - not only it helps with visualizing and manifesting but also you can write down everytime you try, things you liked and disliked & symptoms you had to help you understand what works for you

pinterest wardrobe boards: self explanatory. this can also be made with your dr aesthetic in general

change methods weekly/monthly & try fun methods: in my opinion, the most fun methods are the lucid dream method, adhd method, and void state method, but that's up to you

bonus: try to shift during full moon. not because it increases your posibilities to shift (it does NOT, the moon phase has nothing to do with shifting unless you assume it does ofc) but because it's super cool as a concept, like "today's full moon so i can go to a paralel reality"?? IDK it just gives main character energy. i love shifting when it's full moon

if you know other methods or tips, reblog/leave a comment 🫶🏾

Use your limiting beliefs to your advantage!

You think a subliminal won't work if it's not downloaded in WAV/FLAC/ highest quality possible? Affirm/ Decide that listening to subs in that better quality not only guarantee but increase your subliminal results!

Are you complaining & overthinking a lot ? Affirm/Decide that you're only doing that with the things that you want, aka reverse psychology!

Same goes for reality shifting!! If you're someone always thinking negative atleast use it in a way it can benefit you and your manifestation/shifting journey pls! 😋

just a reminder that reality shifting is limitless. the possibilities are endless. there are an infinite amount of realities, and an infinite amount of potentials.

infinity.

a concept even we can struggle sometimes to comprehend.

there truly is nothing you can't do with shifting, until you start thinking there is. so don't limit yourself because we are quite literally, limitless beings!

The act of shifting isn't crazy. It's the fact that I'm a whole new place is crazy.

The act of shifting ain't nothing. Its AFTER the act of shifting that's something.

Shifting itself is nothing.

When I talk about scripting and shifting, I imagine scripting as being similar to vacation planning.

Scripting = Planning the vacation, researching where you want to go and who you want to meet. When you get there, you can do and see way more, you can even extend the vacation, but this is just to map out where you’ll be going and prepare for that

Shifting = Getting on the plane to get to your destination. If it’s a sleep method, then that’s just falling asleep on the plane and (obviously) waking up once the plane lands.

like …. my skin is GLOWING, I’m genuinely so at peace, and feel absolutely unshaken in the idea that I will shift. like I can and I WILL. like I’m actually getting so giddy for Friday like kicking my feet and everything like oh my god I can FEEL it like Friday is gonna be MY DAY !!!!

Before trying to shift make sure to remind yourself that what you're doing is a real attempt. It's easy to fall into going though the motions. Every. Single. Attempt. Poses are real feasible shot at shifting. There is a genuine possibility of you shifting every single time.

do you ever find yourself spiralling after every 'failed' shifting attempt? do you stress whenever you do your shifting method? or worry about what step is coming next, or worry whether you will shift? find yourself doubting your abilities?

shifting is supposed to be fun.

and this does not sound fun.

the number one thing i have been making sure to do when shifting, is to prioritise my comfortability and enjoyability when trying to shift.

i always try and make the process as enjoyable and comfortable as much as i can for myself.

shifting is supposed to be fun, right? it's exciting! shifting should be fun and enjoyable- heck, you're going to experience a whole other reality! a whole other life, a whole other self, experiencing your wildest dreams and fantasies!

how are you going to expect yourself to shift if you're still stressing over the process of shifting?

find or make a shifting method/process that'll make YOU enjoy shifting, and keep you motivated!

do things that you LOVE doing that will make YOU feel motivated to shift/more connected to your dr!

shifting should not feel like a chore. going to shift should not drain you. shifting should not be boring.

it should be a fun and exciting experience!

don't worry about what method is the most popular or most effective or easiest to the general community. ignore the trending shifting methods, subliminals, or guided meditations.

everyone has their own personal journey with shifting and there is no right or wrong way to shift.

focus on yourself first. work out what you like doing the most/what you enjoy doing the most, what your strengths and weaknesses are, and then work from there to find a method/process that works for you!

for example, whenever i shift, i always ensure that during my method, i:

a ) am feeling good! that i'm feeling excited, happy, good, comfortable and am enjoying the ride! i do not force myself to shift if i feel drained, tired, bored, or i feel that i am forcing myself to shift (you can still shift when feeling these things btw! but for me, i don't like to because personally i don't get good results when i do. however, remember that this is just a me thing!)

b ) that whatever method or steps i'm doing to shift makes me feel confident and assured that I WILL SHIFT. by the 'end' or at some point of my 'method' i truly feel that i am going to shift and i can shift, and this whole thing isn't just me 'attempting' or 'trying' to shift.

you love imagining random scenarios of your desired reality, but worried it's not 'proper visualisation' and you're just daydreaming or imagining? who cares! imagination IS reality and if it makes you feel closer to your dr, do it!

you hate visualising and you just want to say affirmations over and over again because that's what you're the most comfortable with and makes you feel confident, despite what other people tell you?

do it.

in my experience, all the times where i've just done whatever i feel like and makes me feel like i'm having the most fun, i end up feeling the most confident i ever will be in my shifting abilities! it's because when you're doing things you enjoy/love, naturally you'll shift to have a more positive and happier mindset!

it also helps me to stress less about the 'process' of shifting and rather, focus on the destination and anticipation of my desired reality!

however, this is just a small tip from me! please take this with a grain of salt 🌷

and if you've made it to the end, just know that YOU WILL SHIFT!

random shifting idea: buy/make a piece of jewellery that you would wear in your dr but not in your cr, like a friendship bracelet made by x character.

put it on before you go to bed (don't wear it in the day!!!), then when you're half asleep you'll affirm 'i can feel the bracelet from my dr on my wrist therefore i must be in my dr' and should shift.

this might help if you have difficulty visualising/imagining with realism or struggle with ignoring your cr body!!
