Usually I just reblog, but this is a question that’s been burning in my head.

What were people’s first exposure to the Akira Slide *tm? The animation where the character skids their bike sideways with one foot close to the ground.

I know it’s been replicated countless times, but I am genuinely curious. I’ll go first, my earliest exposure to this homage was in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003) theme song.

If you can think of any specific usages, please let me know

GIF’s are so fun like why does nobody use them anymore. If you use them your seen as cringy and old school. LIKE BRO, THEYRE SNIPPETS OF REACTIONS. I’d rather get a GIF than a text. If someone’s happy I want:

not: “I’m thrilled!”, “I’m so excited!”, or “I’m so happy!” I WANT A GIF. PLEASE.
