Characters: NRC students

These are my Race Headcannons for the NRC men. Some of these I just went by feeling a lot of these I did research about the movie setting although with the fishes + beast men I went by geography.

Some of these I'm unsure of (Heavy on Sebek) If anything is incorrect or you want to share your thoughts go ahead I'm always open to corrections and hearing others. (PROOFREAD FOR ONCE)

Riddle (British)

I don't really have an explanation for this one other than the Red Queen in Tim Burton's version she was British and had a big goofy forehead (I have not seen the animated one help)

Trey (German)

Would you believe me if I told you I whipped out a map closed my eyes and threw a dart and it landed on Germany??

For this one I went with somewhere in Europe and I picked Germany because it just made sense to me I was gonna say Polish, but his Green hair was telling me German.

Cater (Scottish)

It's his ginger hair tbh.

Ace (Japanese)

A lot of people headcannon him as Filipino, but me personally I wanted to be quirky and different /j

This one doesn't really have any evidence I just went by feeling. I also headcannon it that he would love Jojo and Junji Ito.

Deuce (Mexican)

As a fellow Mexican I KNOW ONE OF US WHEN I SEE ONE OF US. He is Mexican and I WILL DIE ON THAT HILL.

Savanaclaw

Leona (Kenya)

I actually googled it and Lion King takes place in Kenya which is a country in the eastern part of Africa. For obvious reasons since he is based off Scar it made sense to make him Kenyan.

Ruggie (Multiracial)

I may get a lot of heat for this one, but this man got blonde ass hair and blue eyes, HOWEVER for the geography of spotted Hyena's I feel he is light skinned. He's got some Kenya in him but he also got some white genes. Geography wise I believe he is also part Arab since there are Arab countries in Africa. So therefore I believe he is white, black, and Arab.

Jack (Bircial)

Another one I may get a lot of heat for.

From what I remember Jack is from the same country as Vil? So, I believe Jack is part black, but also part European. It also isn't explicitly stated what movie he is from we just know he is a wolf.

Octavinelle

Azul (Cuban) + The Twins (Filipino)

I googled Coral Sea locations and I came to these conclusions.

There are different Coral reefs going from Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, and Maldives. With the Twins I thought how funny would it be to make them Australian, but Filipino just kind of felt right like a gut feeling. The Carribean sea also has coral reefs so I made Azul Cuban. I was going to make him Venezuelan however I ended up going with Cuban, but I feel like both fit him in a way.

Scarabia

Jamil + Kalim (Arab)

I don't really think this one needs an explanation Aladdin quite literally takes place Agrabah which was based off of Baghdad, Iraq (source: Google)

HOWEVER

There is an article that says the Architecture is based on the Taj Mahal which is Indian.

There is also a mention of Allah in the animated version BUT because I don't fully understand religion in general (And also Disney back then was kind of racist) I don't want to use religion as a justification to where specifically they are from. So I will simply just say they are Arab.

Pomefiore

Vil (German)

Snow white was based in Germany. (I have nothing more to say :Skull:)

Rook (French)

Epel (Sami)

The Sami People are people who are indigenous to Sapmi which is in Northern Europe. (Todays Russia, Sweden, Finland, and Norway).

From doing a bit of research the Sami people seem to be dying out and their language too. (If you want to feel free to Google the Sami people there's a lot to learn about them and it's really interesting. There was basically a bunch of policies put in place to kill them and mistreat them it's really sad)

So in short Epel is Sami Indigenous (If I'm correct he's the first Indigenous character we got so far which is nice representation) (I also hope my research was correct please correct me if not)

Ignihyde

Idia (Greek)

Based on where Hercules takes place and because Hades is quite literally Greek Mythology he is Greek.

Ortho is just a robot, but when he didn't drop dead he was Greek.

Diasmonia

Malleus (German/French)

I am not really getting a clear answer as to where Sleeping Beauty takes place so I made him a French German. He slayed tbh

Lilia (Romanian)

Dracula's castle is in Romania that is the only explanation you are getting

Silver (French/German)

I am being told he is based off Sleeping Beauty so I am making him the same race as Waka Sama.

Sebek (Biracial)

When I first was thinking of a race for him I was thinking Slavic kind of fits him (atleast to me) or possibly Asian. However I had a really hard time guessing so I made him SlavicAsian. Maybe possibly Slovakia and Vietnam?

↠ Part 1

Ace

Ace felt a bit hurt by your last encounter. Grim was hurting his feelings and he genuinely wanted to tell Yuu how he felt. Even though most of the time he may seem mean he can have his vulnerable moments where he just truly feels. And he truly felt for Yuu. Although it surprised him a little when Yuu approached him without Grim.

"Where's Grim? You normally have him around you." The red head asked.

"Don't worry about it. I just wanted to apologize for Grim's behavior I don't know why he's acting like that. I hope I can make it up to you." Yuu spoke

"It's fine. I'm used to him being annoying. Plus you can make it up to me by going on a date with me." He flashed his charming smile.

"Sure." Yuu spoke as Ace slightly turned red not expecting that response, "I was going to ask you out as well that's what I wanted to talk to you about."

Ace bragged to Deuce about the encounter and how he's now dating Yuu.

Cater

After cancellations of hangouts Yuu suddenly out of the blue asked him to hangout. Cater wanting to see his friend of course said yes. Although when Yuu showed up he was surprised Yuu dressed up a little.

"Yuu!! You look nice let's take a pic." He spoke as you two took a selfie together.

Yuu and him both went on their walk and finally caught up after while.

"I'm so sorry about that. Grim has been making me so busy I don't know why he's doing that, but I got some alone time for a bit." Yuu spoke

"It's no biggie! I totally understand he probably just wants you two to succeed." Cater spoke

"I was also hoping you'd maybe want to go out with me? like on a date." Yuu asked

Cater's face turned into a smile a genuine smile. He's been waiting for this moment.

"I'd love too. If you want, we could also consider this our first date." He spoke

Floyd

Yuu had to wait till Floyd was off his shift. When he finally was Yuu approached him and his eyes searched for Grim before he ran at Yuu squeezing them.

"Shrimpy. Took you long enough to see me. You didn't bring baby seal with you right?" He asked

"No, I didn't I actually wanted to talk with you. I apologize about Grim he's been weirdly defensive lately, and I'm hoping it's just an animal thing for him and will go away." Yuu spoke.

"He hasn't scratched you, has he?" Floyd asked. He already knew Grim's tactics and why he was acting like this.

"No, at least not yet. But I have a question for you actually. Would you like to go on a date?" Yuu asked

Floyd didn't even answer he just picked up Yuu threw them over his shoulder and is now going on their date to the pool in Octavinelle.

(We all know damn well he was manifesting this via making an Eel and Shrimp plush kiss)

Rook

Rook was in the middle of writing poetry. This time he was going to assure he finds a way for Yuu to receive his letter. While in the middle of writing he got a knock on his door and thinking it was a Pomefiore student, Epel, or Vil he was surprised to see Yuu at his door.

"Oh, Trickster what a lovely surprise." He spoke

"Hi Rook. Can I come in?" Yuu asked

"Oh, most certainly." Rook spoke as he let Yuu in closing the door. Yuu sat on the edge of his bed as Rook sat in his chair looking at Yuu with the biggest heart eyes known to man kind.

"I wanted to apologize for Grim's behavior I would love to read whatever you are giving to me however he has been acting weird. Again, I do apologize on his behalf." Yuu spoke

"I'm sure he's just worried about you he does seem to care about you." Rook spoke

"Maybe. On Another note would you like to go out on a date?" Yuu asked.

"Oui." Rook spoke as he is staring with a beautiful smile and the biggest heart eyes known to man kind he is so in love with Yuu.

You asking him out? He assumed you were engaged already and has the whole wedding planned. Lilia is the officiant, Silver is the flower boy, and Sebek is the ring bearer.

Hello! I don’t know if you write this kind of thing, but could I have a silly little crack fic about Grim sabotaging different boys’ attempts at flirting with the prefect? Little guy has gotta look out for his henchhuman, y’know?

↠ Part 2

Ace- He nitpicks at his attempts/ruins them

After the events of Riddle, Leona’s, Azul’s, and the Jamil overblot he wasn’t present for. Ace had started taking a liking to prefect they were close after spending so much time together and he liked Yuu however a certain cat had other plans. Ace was always worried that he wouldn’t date anyone especially after what happened with his ex-girlfriend he was worried he wouldn’t be able to date the prefect, so subtle hints of flirting he gave to the prefect. However Grim started taking a notice to Ace’s behavior towards his henchman and didn’t really like that. The next time Ace would try anything Grim would try and stop it. 

“Henchman, can you get me some more Tuna?” Grim asked

“Grim I just got you some Tuna we barely have the expenses to get you more. I still need to eat as well.” Yuu spoke as Grim sighed, mumbling something. 

“Yo prefect.” Ace’s voice was heard as the Prefect turned to look at the red head who was jogging over.

“Hey Ace. What did you get on the test yesterday?” Yuu asked

“I got a 100%.” He crossed his arms proudly

“In your dreams you did.” Grim spoke 

“What! No, I totally got an A.” Ace defended himself

“It was an easy test so I would hope you get an A.” Yuu spoke giggling a bit.

“Anyways. Prefect you wanna grab some lunch? I’ll pay.” Ace offered flashing a cheeky smile.

“Yeah I.” Prefect was cut off by Grim, “Actually we were going to the library to study.”

“It wouldn’t hurt to have some lunch Grim.” Yuu spoke

“Yeah I can totally help you guys study as well.” Ace spoke

Grim gave up as Yuu started walking with Ace to the cafeteria. Grim was obviously annoyed. He needs his Henchmen to not dally off with boys that will distract them from him becoming a great mage.

“You had a basketball game recently, right? You were pretty amazing.” Yuu spoke to Ace

“I have to do well, so I won’t be benched. You should come to my games more often. It would help if you were cheering me on.” Ace nudged Yuu

“If you want a personal cheerleader you could just hire one y’know.” Grim crossed his arms

“I didn’t mean it like that.” Ace rubbed the back of his neck

“I don’t mind going to your games, in fact I really like seeing you do something you’re passionate about.” Yuu spoke which made Ace turn red a bit.

“Can we go back to studying? You two are getting off track.” Grim spat

“Jeez Grim, it was just some small conversation.” Ace spoke

It went silent as the air felt heavy. The only sounds of pencil writing and pages of textbooks flipping. Eventually it was almost time to go to class.

“We should probably get to leaving class is going to start soon.” Yuu spoke

“Yeah. I’ll meet you at class.” Ace spoke feeling defeated by Grim’s tactics who felt quite proud of himself. Maybe Ace will have another chance to tell Yuu how he feels.

Cater- Ruins photos/Justs gets in the way

Cater enjoyed hanging out with Yuu a lot and he always tried to find a way to hang out with Yuu. Taking photos while hanging out to save for memories incase Yuu ever decides to leave this world he has something to remember Yuu. Whenever Yuu needed help or needed something he was always offering just to spend time with Yuu. However as of recently due to Halloween being at the end of the month and midterms coming up Yuu hasn’t had a lot of time to spend with Cater not to mention Grim is also finding a way to try and keep Yuu busy. Grim didn’t want his Henchman to get distracted by one of the coolest and chillest third years. Cater started picking up on Grim’s behavior but just pushed it off as he just wanted the both of them to work hard so they don't get expelled.

“Hey Yuu.” Cater walked up to the Prefect.

“Hey Cay. Sorry we haven’t been hanging out a lot, just been so busy.” Yuu spoke

“It’s no biggie. We can find a way to hang out soon.” He spoke

“Do you have any unbirthday parties coming up soon? Maybe I can attend.” Yuu spoke

“We do actually I was going to see if you can come anyways. It’s on Friday at the usual time.” Cater spoke

“Yeah I’d love to come.” Yuu spoke

“Henchman.” Grim’s yell was heard as he came running up to the prefect. Jumping on them, climbing on them to their shoulder.

“Hey Grimmy.” Cater greeted Grim.

“Can we go to Sam’s please?” Grim begged, ignoring Cater.

“You aren’t going to get 20 cans of Tuna are you?” Yuu asked

“Please.” Grim started begging gripping Yuu’s shoulder.

“Okay we can go. I’ll see you later Cater.” Yuu spoke as Cater waved and they both left.

Cater felt sad. He wanted to hang out with his favorite freshman, but of course they got caught up with something. Cater would also feel upset seeing the message Yuu sent the very next day saying they can’t make it to the birthday party another hangout ruined.

Floyd- He ruins any food/gets defensive whenever Floyd gets too close

Floyd liked his shrimpy, he loved the way Shrimpy hung out with him, he loved the way he got to squeeze his shrimpy. However Floyd’s been noticing the baby seal has been passive aggressive to him recently. He’s also been noticing food he makes for Shrimpy also gets ruined. Floyd has done many checks no one in the kitchen is messing with prefects food, and it’s certainly not Jade or Azul doing it. Azul started complaining Floyd is spending resources on food that doesn’t get paid or eaten so eventually he had to stop the free food for his shrimpy. Jade has pointed out it could be the doing of Grim, but Floyd isn’t hoping Grim would go that far. Would he?

Prefect decided to pay a visit to the Octavinelle trio mainly to check up on everyone and see how they are doing. Grim was getting antsy because he wanted to go back to ramshackle to take his daily nap. Floyd was working a shift, but decided he was going to take just a small break to go see his shrimpy.

“Shrimpy.” Yuu heard Floyd’s voice as he came from behind them and squeezed them. Grim got fed up from wanting to take a nap and Floyd so he did what his instinct told him to do.

“Grim.” Yuu called as there were lines that started to bleed on Floyd’s arm. Grim had scratched Floyd and he didn’t look pleasant with that. Yuu pulled Grim away as Jade looked shocked watching the interaction.

“Brother let me go get the first aid kit.” Jade spoke walking off as Floyd exhaled and walked away. Baby seal is getting a talking to tomorrow and not a fun one.

Rook - He destroys love letters & poetry

Yuu had caught the eye of Rook. Naturally from not being from his world he took interest in the Prefect and fell for their beauty. Rook is a gentle poetic lover meaning the Prefect is his muse. Rook has definitely caught on that Grim does not like him, but would never think Grim would go as far to destroy his pieces of work to protect Yuu. Rook would send letters and Poetry to Yuu every day, and even went as far to handing the letters directly to Yuu before grim threw them away, not caring about either one’s opinions. 

Rook deemed it as a challenge and decided he would use any means necessary to make sure the prefect knows they are valued and appreciated. Rook is simply a poet and Yuu is simply his muse; he wishes to know every bit of them if they decide to leave his world.

Even if Yuu decided to leave in a poet's eyes the muse lives on forever.

I personally LOVE this theory once I read a post about it I was in love and now it has me gripped by the neck.

The Leech and Ashengrotto family are DEFINITELY business partners. I will die on that hill

When it comes to the TWST universe I believe there is a black market (just like IRL) and well the black market is shady because you can quite literally SELL BODY PARTS. So I think you can do that with the non-human people in TWST.

I feel Mer-folk people are highly targeted victims of this especially since you can eat fish as well.

There is a mention that Floyd doesn't like shackles and I think that when he was younger he was kidnapped by hunters trying to sell him.

They obviously lost because it has been mentioned that their parents have a lot of connections, so they definitely did not get far.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe it was mentioned somewhere that when the twins were younger they started self defense classes I feel like their parents would be afraid if they were to go on land they would probably get jumped by some of their families enemies and also of course so they can protect themselves from harm.

Their dad most likely is the head of their buisness/mafia/mob whatever you wanna call it and their mom probably helps with deals and whatnot.

After NRC they most likely will help with their parents with the Mafia business and if Azul and his parents are involved they could probably dominate the whole world /hj

I feel like also because of their Mafia scheme they were probably exposed to murder and violence at such a young age which is kind of sad.

Like imagine 5-year-old Jade and Floyd wanting a goodnight kiss and going to their parents to see their dad beating in the face in of someone. Kinda traumatizing.

They probably also represent their parents a bit. Like for example Floyd might be more like his dad and Jade more like his mom.

Their mom definitely has a garden full of poisonous plants for their enemies and talks with Jade a lot about plants and mushrooms.

Their dad definitely roughhouses with them a lot maybe with Floyd a bit more. Like Floyd could be minding his own business staring at the wall thinking about what he wants to eat and his dad will just tackle him to the ground.

They tend to 'drop' people if they find them boring and won't hesitate to do so. This probably came from the fact that clients or potential business partners try to do business but their tactics are boring so they get dropped easily.

In theory Mafia Leech family is cannon in my heart <3

You were late, and Azul was panicking. Why were you late? Did you just not want to see him? Were you just blowing him off? Azul as terrified of you not coming, not wanting to see him.

Upon seeing the doors open, revealing you, in a dress similar to that of the Sea Princesses, Azul's jaw dropped. He straightened his back upon seeing you come his way.

He gave a small laugh, "well.. you look.. wonderful." You couldn't help the small laugh that came from you, "Thank you. You can blame Vil, he wouldn't let me come in a normal outfit." You laughed.

Azul gave a laugh in return, holding his hand out toward you upon hearing a slow song start overhead. "May I.. have this dance?" He asked, obviously nervous for your response.

You gave a smile and took his hand, "You may." Azul smiled and led you to the dance floor, one hand gliding toward your hip, and the other taking your own hand.

As you danced, he cleared his throat. "If I may, I have something to tell you." You nodded, motioning for him to continue. He gave a small, nervous chuckle. "I think I... No, I know that I love you." He said quickly, before giving a sigh. "That.. wasn't as bad as I'd suspected." He said with a nervous laugh, awaiting your response.

With a small laugh and shake of your head, you responded. "I love you too, Azul."

Jade Leech ;; Octavinelle Vice-Housewarden ;; Second Year

You hung out with the tweel, not exactly fond of the dance floor, especially while wearing heels and a puffy, long dress. "Hey, Jade. Are you good at dancing?"

Jade gave a chuckle, "Why, I'd say I'm all right, but I wouldn't say I'm the best." He admitted, "Although, Floyd is a much better dancer than myself." Jade gave one of his normal, light chuckles.

"Despite how good my other half is at dancing, he finds it.. boring and uninteresting." Jade hummed, taking a sip from the punch he held in his hand.

You gave a laugh, "yeah, that sounds like Floyd." Jade simply nodded in response. "Say, may I talk to you after the ball is through? I have something to tell you." He told you, finishing off his punch.

Your brows furrowed in confusion, but you nodded nonetheless. After some more conversation with the eel, the ball was over and Jade guided you outside to somewhere quiet and concluded.

Jade turned to you, "I must admit to you that you are quite entertaining. Assuming you know my brother and I as well as you do, you know that we are very fond of those who are entertaining."

You listened, giving a nod toward the end. "Which is where I'd like to tell you that I-" A shout was heard from a tree, looking over, a fallen Floyd laid on his back at the bottom of the tree. "Oh, just tell 'em, stupid."

Jade and yourself couldn't help but laugh, "tell me what?" You asked. "I love you." He said simply, kissing your forehead lightly.

Floyd had even shocked himself upon asking you to this ball, he had no intent on even coming in the first place. But the idea of seeing you in a dress, all completely dressed up, had him in a chokehold.

"Woah. You look nice." Floyd blinked, and you laughed in response. "Thank you, Floyd." He nodded and held a cup of punch toward you, and you took it. You thanked him once more before taking a sip on it.

"Hey, Shrimpy." Floyd said, getting your attention. "Yeah? What's up?" You asked. "What do you say we get out of here?" You blinked, "Floyd, we both just got here." You said with a laugh. "I know, but if we stay any longer then Crabby or Little Mackerel will come up and steal you. So." He said, making a popping sound with his lips as he waited for your response.

You shook your head with a laugh and nodded, "alright, but where do you want to go?" Floyd shrugged, "I don't care." You laughed, before taking his hand and simply taking him back to Ramshackle.

His eyes were glued to his hand even after you'd gotten to Ramshackle. You snorted, "Floyd." You said, waving a hand in front of his face. "Huh?"

"what's up with you?" You laughed, and Floyd shrugged in response, simply resting his chin on your head. He spoke up after minutes of standing like that. "Hey, Shrimpy?" He said, "yeah?"

"Love you." He said simply, kissing the top of your head before reverting back to resting his chin on top of your head.

Azul: *tiny angry squeaking*

Jack: what is that

Mc: Azul overblotted and it caught me off guard, so I may have accidently thrown a shrinking potion at him...

Ace: Accidently?

Mc: Hey Crewel needed a shrinking potion for a plant it's not my fault octo-boi decided to have a meltdown in my pathway.

*more angry squeaking from tiny overblot Azul in a small fishtank*

Floyd: AW HES SO SMALL AND SQUISHY!

Jade: Indeed. I do wonder if we may be able to toss him around a bit before he unshrinks.

Mc: No.

Azul: How many of you have played musical instruments before?

Jade: Do instruments of torture count?

Azul: No

Floyd: Is mayonnaise an instrument?

Azul: No Floyd: mayonnaise is not an instrument.

Floyd:....*opens mouth*

Azul: Horseradish is not an instrument either.

Floyd: Time to do some sketchy sh*t, do dah, do dah~

*sees Azul*

Floyd: Hope I get away with it!~

Floyd has absolutely thrown a piece of bread at a wall in pure rage (the bread being the closest thing to him at that time that was yeetable) and it just stuck. To the wall. And Floyd just ends up stopping in surprise at this piece of bread just on the wall for no apparent reason. And then proceeds to die laughing because the prospect of bread being stuck on a wall was hilarious to him, and now his reason for being angry is forgotten.

Azul is glad that Floyd is in a better mood, but now comes the issue of Floyd repeatedly throwing slices of bread against the wall trying to make it happen again. He doesn't have the bread budget for this!

Mc: oh seven EEL!

Floyd: oh seven SHRIMPY!

*silence*

Mc: hey how you doing man?

Floyd: *happy eel squeak*

Riddle: YUU!

Yuu: I'm standing behind you.

Riddle: Alright than Floyd-

Yuu: Also behind you.

Riddle: So then...

I was originally planning for my prompt to be a bit more suspenseful but it turned more into a crack fic than anything else XD. It was a dark and cloudy evening, which to you was an irony as most of the suspenseful books you read had started close to this very description. The other irony was just how well it matched the current situation you found yourself in.

Sticks and leaves crunched under your shoes as you sprinted down the wooded path, trees streaming by you in a blurs of brown and white. The cold of the fall air bit at your fingers and your nose, but you didn’t have the time to stop and warm them up. The thing that was coming after you wouldn’t stop just for you to pitifully rub your hands together in an attempt to warm up a bit, and some part of your brain cursed your decision to leave the dorm without gloves on.

A particularly loud crunch near to your right made you yelp. Yep, it was definitely getting closer, and you were not particularly happy with that development.

“BEGONE WITH THEE!” You screeched to the thing behind you, pushing yourself to pick up the pace. “DON’T YOU HAVE SOMETHING BETTER TO DO!?”

“NOPE!” Came the enthusiastic shout from behind, instilling more fear at the realization that he was not going to stop until it caught you. Leaping over a tree that blocked the path you, you tore off to the left, trying to lose him in very weird, jerky manuvers around the trees and rocks down a small hill. Lighthearted giggling reached your ears as you wove your way down the slope.

“Shrimpyyyyy~ I’m gonna get ya!” Came another shout from behind, followed by rapidly approaching footsteps. In a last ditch effort you flew over a large rock, promptly digging your heels into the dirt upon landing only to dive off to the side of the rock. Squatting down by its side you tried to become as quiet and small as possible, puffs of steam hanging in the air from the quick inhales you took to try and catch your breath. The footsteps in pursuit became louder and lounder until the incredible lanky figure flew over the rock, landing square on his feet before popping up excitedly. A familiar head of teal-colored hair cocked to the side, looking around for where you ran off to.

“Aw come on shrimpy! Where did you go?” His heterochromatic eyes swept the small clearing, full of excitement and confusion. When his gaze swept over the rock again you folded into yourself, trying to get as small as humanely possible. You could have sworn he had seen you as he had looked directly towards you in his wild searching circles. But to your surprise he shrugged, let out a disappointed huff, and started sauntering off towards the left whistling as he went.

It was only when he was out of sight that you realized you had been holding your breath. Air rushed out of your lungs as you exhaled, relief settling over you as you slumped against the rock. Raising a hand to your chest, you could feel your heart beat hard against your ribcage.

“Wasn’t he supposed to be at the lounge at this hour?” You whispered to the rustling leaves. The circumstances behind the sudden chase scene were weird to say the least. Classes had just ended for the day, with half the student body dispersing to discuss what their plans were for the upcoming Halloween events. The housewardens were planning for the yearly Halloween party, the Monstro lounge was busy solving the issue of what the main menu would be, and the students were tasked with decorating their dorms for the season. You had just gotten back to Ramshackle dorm, putting your schoolwork down to tackle later in the day before heading back outside. Your original plan had been to take a brisk walk around the campus to clear your head, get some fresh air and just to take break before going back to tackle the rest of the evening. But it seems that some merperson had other ideas. You hadn’t even made it two steps out the gate before spotting a familiar teal headed merman standing in a menacing half-crouch in the middle of the path, but facing the opposite direction. Before you could even begin to question what you were witnessing he snapped his head around at the sound of the gate shutting, spotting you immediately with a wide grin. You froze when he shouted “Shrimpy!” in earnest excitement, and took off running once he had managed to flip himself around start sprinting at you at an ungodly speed. In short, you seemed to have found yourself the source of entertainment of a guy who was definitely skipping his shift at the Monstro Lounge.

“GOTCHA!” Came a shout from above you, causing you to let out a startled scream. Speak of the devil, Floyd definitely knew where you were now, staring down at you from his newfound rock perch. Scrambling to stand you started to try running off again, but was promptly tackled to the ground and sent rolling across the forest floor with your attacker. Floyd let out a wild bought of laughter once the two of you stopped careening around the clearing, sprawled flat on his back with his arms flung out to the sides. You were in a similar position, lying stomach first across his waist with your arms flung out in front of you. You could feel his stomach shaking with laughter underneath you, which in turn caused you to start laughing along with him once the shock factor had worn off.

“Floyd what the hell!” You laughed, your head falling forward as you shook with hysteria. Floyd laughed harder at your words, shifting to his side and sliding you off of him.

“Ahahaha! Your the best to play with Shrimpy!” He exclaimed, giggling and kicking his feet like a child. “That made my day so much better!”

“Well, glad to be of assistance I guess.” You shifted yourself onto your back, looking up at the sunlight starting to break through the clouds. “Shouldn’t you be at the lounge?”

“Ehhhh, Azul can manage, plus its so boring. This was way better!” Floyd flung his arms above him, emphasizing his point. “I needed a break from all that boring stuff.”

“Well we had one heck of a break.” You snickered. “So, want to go back or do you just want to keep lying here for a bit.” His face scrunched up in faux consideration before he responded.

“Well, lying here won’t hurt anyone.” He said, eyes closed with a soft smile on his face. Linking arms with him, you joined him in lying on the forest floor, enjoying each others company in the growing dusk of the day.

Bonus: “WHERE IS FLOYD!? HIS BREAK ENDED TWO HOURS AGO!” Came a shout from the VIP lounge, Azul storming into the main restaurant soon after.

“I believe he said he was off doing some important things. It must be quite important if its taking him this long.” Jade replied, a cordial smile on his face as he addressed the housewarden.

“Oh please he’s probably off gallivanting around campus looking for someone to mess with.” Azul grumbled, adjusting his glasses so the sat higher on his nose. “He’s picking up an extra shift when the Halloween rush comes around to make up for this.”

Jade let out a hum, letting his smile fall a bit as he spoke. “That will make for a very eventful holiday indeed. I cannot wait to see his reaction when you tell him.”

“No Jade I was planning on you telling him, as if its you it might lessen some of his temper…Jade get back here this instant.”

“I believe I will be taking my break now Azul. I have important things to do.”

Mc: There is only one thing Jade fears that we know of.

Azul: Oh? Do tell~

Mc: Kalim...

Azul:........what

Mc: No no let me finish. Kalim....when he makes tea

Azul: Does not make any more sense

Jade from the corner of the room visibly shaking: I cannot fathom how he finds it okay to put a pound of sugar in his tea. We must never join any tea party he hosts!

Floyd: BAHAHAHAHA JADES AFRAID OF A TEA!

*Floyd after being forced to do his shift in the Monstro Lounge*

Floyd: I AM THE VICTIM OF A HATE CRIME!!!

Azul: That's not what a hate crime is Floyd.

Floyd:.....

Floyd: well I hated it

Azul: WHY IS THERE A $486 CHARGE ON THE COMPANIES CREDIT CARD!?

Jade: Well, I didn't think I spent that much on having the mushrooms shipped.

*Floyd casually popping a piece of candy in his mouth*

Floyd: you didn't :>

*during the Jamil overblot*

Jamil: I WILL BE THE RIGHTFUL DORM LEADER NOW, AND YOU WILL-

Mc: Hey look a spider

Jamil: WHAT

*starts looking around for it*

Mc: right here, see? *Picks up the spider and presents it to him*

Jamil: 0-0

*When Azul, Kalim and the tweels finally enter the room as well*

Azul: wha-

Mc: turns out you can save magic, mental health, and further damage via overblot with an insect

*Jamil's snake hair angrily hissing from the corner he's cowering in*

Bonus:

Floyd: Hey Sea Snake! Catch! *Yeets the spider*

Jamil: *fearful screeching*

MC: If you have a residential conman from the Coral Sea living near you and his trio won't leave you alone, here's a tip on how to get him to stop :]

*Jade, Floyd and Azul all floating in the air*

MC: Simply learn levitation and suddenly his will to get you to sign that contract is gone.

Azul: Mc for sevens sake your points been made now RETURN MY FEET TO SOLID GROUND

Jade: I will second that notion, I would prefer not to be 10 feet in the air for much longer

Floyd: You think I could hit crabby with a water balloon from here?

*Mc back on their taking names too literal streak*

Mc:.......

Floyd: :>

Mc: your not a leech, your an eel

Floyd:....wut 0-0

Mc: your last name is leech, but your an eel not a leech

Floyd: and?

Mc: Why isn't your last name accurate >:[

Jade: Prefect I think it would be odd.if we were called 'Floyd Eel' and 'Jade Eel'

Mc: ...fair point fair point

*points towards Azul*

Mc: But can we at least call him Ink Ashengrotto so his name is somewhat accurate?

Floyd: PFFFFFT-

Azul: Excuse me...WHAT

Mc: you know, cause your black not blue

Azul: THERE ARE BETTER WORDS

Mc: I mean yeah but...your an octopus that is

black so I figured ink made sense
