i love how Le Tang draws anxiety. literally a muppet
love it when people draw the emotions with a fuzzy texture, please keep on doing that its cute
concept art fear... why the hell does he look like that?
(1st art by ralph eggleston, 2nd art by albert lozano)
still couldnt find any inside out plushes in the stores here, but thankfully, the lego store had these! so i finally have some physical media
anxiety was originally gonna be a shapeshifting monster, and as much as i love the idea and wish they would of kept it in, i get why it was scrapped, they wanted to portray all emotions as helpful, and i guess making anxiety a monster wouldnt have helped said portrayal.
though it appears that they just, reaallyy wanted a "monster" to be the main antagonist of the film, from the very beginning, actually. this "emotion turning into a monster" thing seems like it was carried over from the original cut antagonist, "Shame", before being scrapped entirely.
...i wonder if someone with an anxiety disorder would still have their anxiety shapeshift into a monster when out of control... idk, i just like monsters.
i love you concept art sadness (Art by Albert Lozano)
would depression just be sadness and ennui fusing steven universe style. like they just do a silly little jig then fuse into a god damn giant monster that makes your life miserable or somethin
pt2 to this , i wish they would of kept the "heartfelt one-on-one" between joy and anxiety, instead of joy just tackling anxiety to the ground... oh well!
i really wonder what would of been the dialogue in these scenes, and if they were ever voice acted before being reworked, but perhaps that is something we will never get to know
