See, this is why I like drawing/writing cross species(faction) in 40k. It's so much more complex and unique. As compared to the basic watered down relation ships of regular scifi.
Also, don't forget Abhumans who are practically an array of human-like different species. If a "regular" human dates one, it's seen as either taboo or downright disgusting. And if a xenos dates them, then it's like a spicy version of what you've covered.
Xenophilia in other sci-fi: Human John, your kind already fascinates me, but even then, you manage to stand out among your kin! Would you like to partake in my homeworld's traditions to... strengthen our bond?
Xenophilia in Warhammer 40k: You could go for a blue skinned hooved girl, but she is going to have a government mandated pregnancy by someone from her race, so I hope you're into being NTR'ed. No, you can't do anything about this. You could go for a Space Elf™ gf, but she's going to call you a racial slur everytime you breathe. Also, the rest of her race thinks she is a zoophile for being with you. Oh, and avoid Goth Space Elves™. I REPEAT - AVOID GOTH SPACE ELVES™ AT ALL COST. You could go for a tall mommy robot skeleton gf, but she doesn't have any, ehem, "fun parts"... So she will either make you do something incredibly insane and dangerous to entertain herself or she's going to grow bored of you and kill you. Not liking any of those options? Don't worry! If you're good enough of a fighter - you may get an Ork bf, who will try to KRUMP YA! Remember, the boyz LOVE fighting, so the harder you fight your Ork boyfriend - the more he thinks you love him. Phaerakh Asenath... not. But it's not like she has a choice who she can and can't be. A little oopsie happened during the Great Sleep and now "Asenath" is not who she really is. Where is the real Phaerakh? No clue. So, she's the leader now!
(Basically, imagine if all of a sudden your tough as nails political leader is accidentally replaced by a catgirl hacker. Asenath is a Necron equivalent of that)

Unhinged idea for a necron character a necron lord who after loosing all his subordinates that had a personality during the big sleep not only gets split personalities but adds extra heads and limbs for those said heads, a destroyer lord with 3 fucked up personalities slapped into one giant death bot, necron equivalent to a rat king
Obyrons been through it lately this kinda shot, his lord and best friend suffering from space dementia to the point where Obyron debaited putting him put of his misery after they both had a breakdown, almost being brainwashed by a rival lord
The newcrons are magnificent
I almost cried when the system let Oltyx know he is now in charge, pretty much confirming Djoseras sacrificed himself for him and the few survivors he found

Spoilers for The Twice-Dead King: Ruin below. This is an appreciation post about Djoseras and I'm hurting.
Djoseras is only a supporting character in the TDK novels, but I really want to argue that he is perhaps the MOST IMPORTANT character outside of our boy, Oltyx, who is, of course, the protagonist. Now, he's not present for the most part, usually a referred to character and his actual "on screen" time is very limited. However, there are just scenes that shape Djoseras' character so immensely, giving him a level of character depth usually not reserved or expected for side characters, and though it's mostly through Oltyx's perception of him (so, skewed or otherwise), his brother is just. So important.
So, shout out to Djoseras who taught Oltyx the hard lessons even if he himself found discomfort in what he was teaching him.
Shout out to Djoseras who protected Oltyx by skewing a significant event that ultimately led to his brother being exiled instead of executed.
Shout out to Djoseras who went back to comfort Oltyx who was so scared of going through the furnaces of biotransference.
Shout out to Djoseras who who inscribed upon his immortals all their names and deeds upon their necrodermis to show who they were/are.
Shout out to Djoseras who feigned ignorance just so he could talk to his brother before his departing to the capital to trying making Unnas see reason about the incoming Imperial Crusade that would see all of Ithakas destroyed.
Shout out to Djoseras who stayed behind to give Oltyx the time he needed to flee and take what survivors he could with him before Antikef fell.
Shout out to Djoseras who, despite everything, will always love his brother and wishes nothing more than for him to thrive.
Please, remember him.

Holy shit. Necrons are genuinely the most unpleasant army to fight in the entire game. Not just in a "this unit is so tough I should direct fire elsewhere" but in a "it is literally pointless to roll dice at any point for any reason and will just slow the game down with him removing models just to put them back on. I would be better off not even attacking or bothering to try."
That's fucked up. Armies shouldn't do that. Most impossibly toxic ruleset in the game. At least when you're fighting genestealer cults you get to have fun by killing units even if they're coming right back. The only thing that can deal with crons is mass snipers and precision in general, and that feels awful. Hunting characters to the exclusion of all else just feels bad.

Amhut the Magnificent, the Destroyer of C'tan is ready! I may have partially messed up with the weapon, but overall, I like everything. Especially he it shines, blazes. ;^;
I will be brief with his story, which came to mind during the drawing of this child (However, by the standards of the other two who will be with him, he will clearly be young) :
...Skipping the moment from the moment of awakening after the Great Dream and realizing that the crown world of the dynasty had been destroyed, Amhut retained his original consciousness. Well, how did save it?.. Like all necrons, he did not remember his past before the BioTransfer, and what happened after that Great Sleep, he remembers very vaguely. But unlike others who currently want to lead a dynasty, he is sane. And he has his own problems.
His homeworld is literally located on the very edge of the Mefrith territory. The devastation was also accompanied by the disappearance of many other lords who were supposed to control the system in this sector. Left with his small legions, cryptek and another Overlord (whom he almost killed), Amhut is slowly restoring influence in this solar system.
The former necrontyr has a nasty temper when it comes to his personal attitude towards other necrons who are not related to his environment. Some may even call him too selfish in this regard. The nickname "Magnificent" was given not by anyone, but by Amhut himself, either to somehow stand out, or because of his opinion that he copes well with his weapon ..?
Speaking of weapons, it was a mixture of an axe and a staff (there is little left of the latter) and it requires some skills to fight with this weapon. Amhut loves battles and was always eager to fight if the enemy was worthy of it. However, now this "love" has cooled down in him. During the destruction of the invaders in the tomb, he lost his legs after meeting with an unknown creature, according to his memory. The latter disappeared somewhere or was destroyed, but after that he lost the opportunity to walk for a while. The living metal was not restored, so he and his cryptek had to look for, come up with, a replacement. But, as we can see, they found it. However, this had consequences - now Amkhut was literally blazing intermittently without burning down. Whether it was thought out, or some kind of mistake, he did not know. But he feels no anxiety or irritation towards the Anubitar. Such an effect even makes a good, in the bad sense of the word, impression on mortals and on his colleagues. However, after that incident, he became cautious. Yes, and some annoying shadow followed him...
